Are the SATEL-VL53L4CD breakout boards pre-soldered, which can be connected using female jumper wires?

It is.
Here is a step file I got from the "cad tool" section of the webpage:
For the really astute, the sensor shown is the VL53L1CX, but as the L1 and the L4 are footprint compatible we cheated a little here.
You can hook the satellite boards directly onto the P-Nucleo-53L4A1 board combo using a 6-wire ribbon cable.
you can also hook it directly to the Nucleo-F401RE (that is part of the P-Nucleo-53L4A1 board combo. It just does not look as nice.
