Current consumption in VL53L0X in single ranging

Hi folks,

I am currently testing the VL53L0X sensor and reading the datasheet. Is the current consumption of the sensor 19 mA in the single ranging scenario, or is it calculated for continuous ranging? I'm not clear on this point.

Thanks!

It's 19ma when it is ranging.

So if you range 5 times per second with a 20ms integration time, assume 19mA for 20ms * 5. The rest of the time the sensor consumes much less. One would get 19mA *100ms or about 1.9mA average consumption. As you can see the number of ranges you take and how long you integrate makes the difference.
