Visual glitch for file attachments

Piranha

When a link is given to a particular post and the post has a file attached, two horizontal lines appear under the small file icon.

As can be seen in the picture, the lines do not appear on other posts with file attachments. And, if one takes a link to the second post of the two, then the lines appear on the second post but not on the first one.

Hello @Piranha ,

Good catch! I can replicate this as well. Passing this for further investigation.

Thanks,
Lina

A somewhat related issue. When hoovering over the file attachment paperclip icon, the mouse cursor turns into a "finger", which is normally used for URLs. As there is no actual URL attached to it and clicking on the icon does nothing, the cursor over it should not be a "finger" type, which definitely signals that some action will be done. Also the same happens while hoovering over the file names of archives and other attachment file types, which doesn't have a preview functionality.

Here is an example with a RAR file:

https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/hal-delay-not-working/m-p/75032/highlight/true#M7727

Also one can see the same behavior for the following file types in ST's testing environment.

ICO, FLV: https://qa-stcommunity.st.com/t5/analog-and-audio/attachments/td-p/366

TAR, ZIP, 7Z, RM, RAR: https://qa-stcommunity.st.com/t5/power-management/attachments-2/td-p/368

Hi @Piranha ,

Thanks for your feedback, we are investigating this issue as well.
