I'm in China. I want to get a copy of the stm32mp1 Distribution Package .
HI there STM team! I want to build a embedded linux image where I can load my QT application. I'm installing the starter package following: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_Package#Checking_the_material but I'm having problems when executing this command: STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w flashlayout_st-image-weston/optee/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-optee.tsv The download starts but then it says "reconnecting the device..." and it fails with: Error: Unable to reconnect the target device: time out expired Error: Start operation failed at partition 0x03 Error: TSV flashing service failed Following other posts it seems there's a problem with the tsv file: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mpus-products/fail-the-image-flashing-on-stm32mpu157f-dk2/m-p/217050#M6509 I downloaded the file and rename it to: FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-optee-trial.tsv Now, when I run this command: STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port
New to STM32CubeIDE and trying to compile/download examples to STM32MP157C-DK1.It seems that the ST-Link on this particular board is not functioning correctly, both STM32CubeProgrammer and command line suggest that there is 'No device found on target'. Cubeide 1.13 and CubeMX 6.9 can generate the valid code for stm32mp157,but Cubeide 1.14 and CubeMX 6.10 can not! is there a bug or the CubeMX 6.10 have some change for stm32mp157?. MCU Package 1.6.0 and the STMH7xx doesn`t affect it. void MX_QUADSPI_Init(void) {/* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 0 *//* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 1 *//* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 2 *//* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 2 */} why?
I'm on Linux debugging STM32MP1, latest version of everything installed. I used to be able to debug in "production mode" but now I got:"The serial device 'MPU Serial (/dev/ttyUSB0)' is not available."if I start debug"The selected serial device 'MPU Serial (/dev/ttyUSB0)' is not available anymore, please update the Debug configuration."However, I'm able to open the /dev/ttyUSB0 with other terminal softtware, the "/dev/ttyUSB0" appears as an option on debug options, also, the status on bottom right is green. How to fix this?
While creating scripts to build the kernel preparing for the DK2, found that it creates vmLinux and Image (not uImage) even though ST's kernel build readme stated to build uImage . Torvalds has also posted something about the compressed versus uncompressed behavior for arm64 recently.https://www.phoronix.com/news/Torvalds-ARM64-Compress-KernelAlso the AArch64 kernel seem not to provide a decompressor, So should mkimage used to generate uimage for the DK board ? Is the readme outdated ?Ref:https://linux-arm-kernel.infradead.narkive.com/bcdVuTBY/aarch64-kernel-image-decompression"Bringing in uImage as a target on ARM might have been a mistake, since now people want to bring in new targets for whatever boot format they happen to want. So it's a good idea to keep arm64 from going down the same path and stick to the native, raw, formats"https://www.phoronix.com/news/Torvalds-ARM64-Compress-Kernel
hii am using stm32mp157d-dk1 and i have downloaded qt creator and i have created a simple hello world window now how to display it in the stm32mp157d-dk1? how to set up cross compilation in order to deploy Qt projects directly from a host Linux machine to the embedded target using qtcreator.
Hello all, I am following the Getting Started guide for the STM32MP257F-EV1 and the current step I am on is (Getting Started -> STM32MP2 boards -> Develop on Arm Cortex-A35 -> Modify, rebuild, and reload the Linux kernel). Specifically I am in step 4 where it says to build the kernel images and device trees. I am put in the command: sudo make ${IMAGE_KERNEL} vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="${OUTPUT_BUILD_DIR}" and the I get the following error:drivers/usb/dwc2/hcd.c: In function ‘dwc2_hcd_hub_control’:drivers/usb/dwc2/hcd.c:3721:30: error: ‘struct dwc2_hsotg’ has no member named ‘test_mode’3721 | hsotg->test_mode = windex >> 8;| ^~make[4]: *** [scripts/Makefile.build:250: drivers/usb/dwc2/hcd.o] Error 1make[3]: *** [scripts/Makefile.build:500: drivers/usb/dwc2] Error 2make[2]: *** [scripts/Makefile.build:500: drivers/usb] Error 2make[1]: *** [scripts/Makefile.build:500: drivers] Error 2make: *** [Makefile:2035: .] Error 2 Any help would be very appreciat

Hi there ST team! I'm working with this article https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP13_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_PackageMy setup is Windows 11. So far I downloaded and installed STM32Cube programmer and I can open the application. Now, I'm trying to install the "STM32Bootloader.bat" but it doesn't do anything. I can't see the device appearing on the device manager even tough the board is connectedWhen I was downloading the file from ST page, it doesn't allowed me to download 64 bit file, only the 32bit. As far as I understand Windows 11 is only 64 bit. Maybe that's part of the problem? Thanks a lot in advance
Hi,I'm currently facing an issue while trying to flash my STM32MP157C using STM32CubeProgrammer (CLI) with a flash layout `.tsv` file. Every time I run the command, it seems to flash partition `0x01` successfully, but then it starts flashing the same partition again in an infinite loop. Here’s the command I’m using:STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w flashlayout-demo.tsvOutput from STM32CubeProgrammer:-------------------------------------------------------------------STM32CubeProgrammer v2.17.0-------------------------------------------------------------------USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s)Manuf. Ok, good to know it is a known issue. And no problem with it.What can I do then in order to proceed ?Are there other files missing ?How can I complete the installation and make sure eveyrthing is there ?
As the title says, I'm working with ecosystem 5 on a custom board with bootchain DTB files generated by CubeMX and modified according to lab material for the STM32MP1 workshop presentation "Lab-MP15_FromPartNumber_To_BasicDeviceTree_with_CubeMx.pdf". My high level goal is to build a bootchain capable of programming an eMMC via USB DFU.When I load the TF-A and then FIP that I've built via USB-DFU I get an OP-TEE panic:NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP153CAC Rev.ZNOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21INFO: PMIC version = 0x21INFO: Reset reason (0x15):INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por)INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe2000INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_ioINFO: Using USBINFO: Instance 2INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp1-r1.0(debug):()NOTICE: BL2: Built : 15:37:50, Jul 29 2024INFO: BL2: Doing platform setupINFO: RAM: DDR3-DDR3L 16bits 533000k
Hello, I am trying to work on the STM32MP257F-EV1 development board and am running into an interesting issue. Whenever I have both the USB (For booting) and the ST-Link (For power and using minicom) plugged in at the same time booting the image to the board doesn't work, it will boot up to partition 0x03 and then reconnect and start over until I force cancel it. Is there anything I can do in order to allow both of those to be plugged in at the same time? Thanks,Carson
Hello, I am currently working on bringing up a STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and I am having troubles. I am working on getting the STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.1.0 working so that I can start working on the board with Cube Programmer but all the online resources on how to get that installed are done through Linux and I am operating off windows. Is there anywhere where I can just do 1 install like for the starter-package? Or if not is there anywhere where there are Windows instructions? Any help would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks!Carson Kirk
Hello, I have made a lot of posts over the last few days while trying to bring up an ST development board trying to fix the issue, and I think I finally figured out what's wrong. I am following two guides being these sources: STM32MP25 Evaluation boards - Starter Package - stm32mpu and Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu. I am using a windows computer, and I now see that it is because I don't have VMWare, and upon going to your link in the PC prerequisites tab it leads to a download page in which hasn't been working for a while it seems, I am wondering if anyone knows any alternate download spots, I can go in order to get the required software. Thanks!
Hello, I am trying to populate the EMMC on the STM32MP257F-EV1 development board using a USB connection and I am running into a strange issue. I am trying to download the file from this wiki: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu and specifically trying to download "FlashLayout_emmc_stm32mp257f-ev1-ca35tdcid-ostl-m33-examples-optee.tsv". When I do this everything seems fine at first. But it looks like the download may be in an infinite loop. Hello, I am trying to boot an EMMC with a USB on a STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and am having troubles. I set the boot pins to what is said in the data sheet for EMMC (That being Boot2 is set to 1 and the rest 0) The USB is no longer an option to connect to. (For reference I am trying to follow this wiki article: Populate the target and boot the image - stm32mpu but only using the EMMC instead of the SD Card). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello ST,Apologies in advance if I've missed something obvious. I'm working on a new product that will comprise multiple STM32 processors each running their own firmware. I envisage there being a number of libraries containing common code that will be linked to by the various processor firmware(s). I have some experience of using cmake for desktop development (linux/windows) with vscode and am trying to relate that experience to STM32CubeIDE. I'm not getting far. I envisage a project structure like this:|--Project XX |- CMakeFiles.txt |-- apps | |-- board1 | | |-- Inc | | |-- *.h files | | |-- Src | | |-- *.c files | | |-- board1.ioc | | |-- CMakeFiles.txt | | | | |-- board2 | | |-- Inc | | |-- *.h files | | |-- Src | | |-- *.c files | | |-- board21.ioc | | |-- CMakeFiles.txt | |-- etc |-- libs | |- Lib1 | |-- Sources/Headers | |-- CMakeFiles.txt &nb
I’m working on a project with the STM32MP157F-DK2 Discovery kit, I’m exploring the possibility of integrating GSM for internet access.Has anyone successfully implemented GSM connectivity on the STM32MP157F-DK2? If so, could you share your experience, including the hardware setup, GSM module used, and any software configurations or drivers required?I’d appreciate any insights or guidance on how to proceed.
Hello,we want to implement Non-blocking method like in https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_start_the_coprocessor_from_the_bootloaderOur efforts searching documentation and reading discussions in the forum hadn´t resolve the situation. We are using a devicetree genertated by the CubeMX tool for stm32mp157f-eval1. When starting the Application in a booted linux system, it works as expected. The trace logs are available, and the /dev/ttyRPMSG0 virtual UART is loaded:cat /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/state outputs 'running'cat /sys/kernel/debug/remoteproc/remoteproc0/trace0 shows our debug outputs from the M4We can send dummy data to /dev/ttyRPMSG0 and get the echoed responseIn our use case we need the M4 Application to start as early as possible, so we have configured u-boot SSBL to load the ELF file and start the M4 execution. We are then facing the problem that the software is started, but the linux kernel does not load the /dev/ttyRPMSG0 device:cat /sy
I have used the cube programmer to load fsbl1, fsbl2 and fip.bin onto DDR3 from forced uart boot mode. I am trying to execute the loaded files from RAM itself and get access to the u-boot console. The files i have used were taken from the build directory of core-image-minimal build that was created using yocto.Ive attached the .tsv file i used for the cube programmer.Does anyone know how to make u-boot rub from the RAM?? I've been stuck for days
Hello, I am following the wiki article: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP25_Evaluation_boards_-_Starter_Package, in order to bring up the STM32MP257F-EV1 Development board and I am unable to run the STM32_Programmer_CLI when trying to boot the board. I am able to run it when in my home directory but that's it. The instructions in section 2.1 in the wiki article don't seem to work and I am unsure if I am doing it wrong. Here are the paths to the CLI and the Starter-Package respectively:STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube/STM32CubeProgrammer/bin/STM32_Programmer_CLI /STM32MPU-Ecosystem-v5.1.0/Starter-Package/stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mpu-v24.06.26/images/stm32mp2Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
