If I want to fully erase eval board STM32MP15F and then re-populate it back to its original out-of-the-box state. Is it enough to upload the flash layout from:en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31.tar_v3.0\stm32mp1-openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31\images\stm32mp1\flashlayout_st-image-weston\trustedand reboot the board? Or are there any other steps I should follow?Best regards, Arnas
I am trying to have firmware_m4_X running on M4 core, and fimware_A7_Linux, runnin on Linux and them intercommunicating via RPMSx. If I upload them separately they work fine but after board reboot I want these two images to be started automatically. We are generated a code from the Cube MX and written the application its working fine in debug mode through JTAG. But we want to put it into the Sd card . For this what is the procedure and how to enable the cortex M4 controller form A7.
Hello everyone,I received my STM32MP157C-DK2 device and I built a Buildroot-image and flashed it successfully.I am new to STM32 and to the IoT field so perhaps you can orient me and tell me which Programs I need to do so. I want to write a "hello_world" program that sends hello_world every x-seconds to an Endpoint-rest through Wifi.Is it possible to only use Linux Bash/Shell interface to execute my Program? (I am familiar to these) and like I said I am only testing some features here like the ability of the DK2 to interact with Endpoint-rests.Thank you all and have a nice day.
Hi,I would like to know for the board how to enter low power mode. I am using a version, openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-03-31. Please let me know how to address it.Best Regards,Sun
I have two codes running (on stm32mp157f-Dk2) successfully one is running on M4+freeRTOS another on A7+Linux, they are intercommunicating via RPMSGx. The problem is that after power-loss or reboot, I want both of my programs starting automatically and not the default UI (GNU desktop screen with icons of examples). Is there a chance to get either step-by-step guide or even better a video executing all the steps to change the kernel and launch customer's code?4 Build the Linux® kernel source code for the first time:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel#Build_the_Linux-C2-AE_kernel_source_code_for_the_first_time (4.1.2 Remote processor 'auto' boot (not recommended by STMicroelectronics)↑:(https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Linux_remoteproc_framework_overview3.3 Modifying the Linux kernel device tree↑:https://wiki.st.com/stm32m
Good evening,I am using stm32mp157F-DK-2 board. And I want to update the kernel from old 5.4.31 to 5.10.10.I was following step-by-step "Modify, rebuild and reload the Linux® kernel" on the "https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel#Build_the_Linux-C2-AE_kernel_source_code_for_the_first_time". Only strange thing the command: >> /sbin/depmod -a - does not return any success/failure info. No errors appeared so I used >> sync and >>reboot. After reboot I see that both old and new kernel modules are present:>> ls /lib/modules 5.10.10 5.4.31When i try to check current kernel version :>> uname -aLinux stm32mp1 5.4.31 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Apr 8 07:08:47 UTC 2020 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/LinuxHave I missed something? Hi,I would like to compile a user space c++ application on the STM32MP157C-DK2. Is it possible to install GCC or G++ on the board?I tried installing them via apt-get but seems like there is not any package with name gcc or g++.How can i install it and how do i make sure it is up and running ? I know we can use Yocto SDK to compile and transfer the code on to the board via SCP. But here i specifically want to compile it on board itself.Any leads will be highly appreciated.
HI ,How can i display simple image on to the screen ?Currently we have weston demo running. I am aware of how to stop it , but post that what command can i use to simply just display an image on to screen?
MDK compiles, and the program loads the following results: IDE compiles, and the program loads the following results: The MDK program is exported from the IDE, and the two programs are the sameI want to use openamp in MDK, how can I modify it
Hi!I am trying to have full secure booting on the stm32mp platform, using FIP and fitImage on a custom distribution built using Yocto with the meta-st-stm32mp layer.I currently have a FIP containing u-boot booting on the board, that can then load and boot an unsigned fitImage.I now want to enable fitImage signing. The signature verification in u-boot is enabled in u-boot's configuration, and u-boot devicetree has been extended to include a signature section, so that mkimage can insert the signing key for u-boot's to verify my fitImage. The fitImage is signed with the key by setting the following variable in my machine configuration:UBOOT_SIGN_ENABLE = "1"I checked that the image is indeed signed, and that a u-boot devicetree containing the key is in my deploy directory (I disabled the use of the "u-boot" subfolder with a bbappend on u-boot-stm32mp recipe). The issue comes from the final dtb included in u-boot´s binary, before the FIP generation by fiptool. By the end of the kernel s
Hello,We are using the LBEE5KL1DX-883 WLAN+BT chip with a STM32MP157C on a custom board. The SDIO interface is routed to the SDMMC3 interface (different from the DK-2 board). However when we are probing the brcmfmac module, it cannot find the mmc0 interface it seems. It writes the following to the dmesg logs:[ 21.319324] brcmfmac: No platform data available. Is there anything extra which needs to be configured when using SDMMC3 as opposed to SDMMC2? Posting relevant configuration below. Hi,I have done certain changes to support the display in the dts files.I have modified dts files under kernel and u-boot.I had also added certain changes in panel-simple.c file as well. I gave a build and forgot to make some changes. So i changed those locally and gave :bitbake st-image-westonBut this time around upon checking i found out that latest changes i made were not compiled and a new .o was not generated. How can i make sure , that local changes are compiled by yocto build system??
hi, we are using stm32MP157A ,in this we enabled timer2 APB1 and APB2 clock for timers . When we trying to write timer 2 the processor gets hanged . For this what may be the issue. In the similar way i did it for the UART4 its working fine . Where as coming to the writing to timer registers its hanging .
I want to use open source utilities to load U-boot into SRAM in "Serial mode". Is it possible?P.S. As I can see, there is an article about it on ST Wiki, but an access to it is restricted for regular users: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_load_U-Boot_with_dfu-utilHow to gain access to this article for an ordinary user?
Is there also an ARM version of the SDK to develop the Modules.because here I only found a X86 versionhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Developer_Package#Installing_the_SDK
We are using a STM32MP157 chip on a custom low-power design and don't need the Cortex M4 core. We would like to disable it properly to reduce power consumption and also remove dedicated support in linux kernel. Is there any recommended way to do this ? Is disabling clock enough ?Thanks in advance for your help

In our project we are currently trying to decrease boot time and energy consumption of an embedded linux running on an STM32MP153.To improve energy consumption we are trying to activate hibernation, in order to test suspend-to-disk as well as the hybrid-sleep mechanism.I have activated hibernation in the kernel and have also created a swap disk (which does not mount properly after reboot) by hand. But still "/sys/power/state" gives me nothing more but "mem", indicating we can only do a suspend-to-ram and returns "not supported" for anything else i'll try to echo into it.Is there a possibility to enable hibernation, even if the documentation does not list it explicitly? Thanks in advance!
Can anybody say meaning of four values in ACSR field of DDRPHYC_ACIOCR register?May ill ddr3-equipped board work more stable (i think) if I add no-zero values here...
