Hi!I have been reviewing the kernel log for the DK2 Kit, and I have noticed that the Ethernet configuration is in polling mode. [ 37.074899] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet eth0: PHY [stmmac-0:00] driver [RTL8211F Gigabit Ethernet] (irq=POLL) Is there a specific reason for the decision to have it in polling mode?Upon examining the schematic, I can see that the interrupt signal is on PA6(ETH_MDINT).I understand that the configuration for the interruption should be: interrupt-parent = <&gpioa>; interrupts = <6 IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING>;
Hi!I have been reviewing the datasheet for the stm32mp157c and have seen that GPIO PG12 can be configured in a special function "ETH1_PHY_INTN"I would like to get more information about this mode, as it might be interesting to use it in future designs.I have been examining in the device tree of some of the kit based on this mpu and I haven't seen this GPIO(PG12) being used with this special mode.Thanks!
Dears,I'm using STM32MP157C-DK2 board in production mode.Now I'm debugging the firmware in M4 core. However, when I insert a breakpoint at DMA interrupt handler and wait for a while, it will crash the whole system (A7+M4) and lead to the reset.I also tried the example SPI_FullDuplex_ComDMA_Master. It still has the same issue.Do you have any resolution? Thanks for your help in advance.
Hi, I see STM32MP1 - M4 use "RCC_HSE_BYPASS_DIG", what does this mean? And from stm32mpcube, does anyone know the calculation below to get 209MHz? RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_ON;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLSource = RCC_PLL12SOURCE_HSE;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLM = 3;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLN = 81;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLP = 1;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLQ = 1;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLR = 1;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLFRACV = 0x800;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLMODE = RCC_PLL_FRACTIONAL;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.RPDFN_DIS = RCC_RPDFN_DIS_DISABLED;RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.TPDFN_DIS = RCC_TPDFN_DIS_DISABLED;

I'm attempting to upgrade from ecosystem v2 to v4 and I've run into an issue where the USB OTG port no longer enumerates at boot time. Specifically, I no longer see any messages in dmesg regarding the dwc device, nor do I see anything in /sys/class/udc/. This is a regression from my v2 build where USB does work as expected.I am not using ST's Yocto build for my build, rather I have the defconfig and device trees build against the ST repositories directly (as originally demonstrated by Octavo's ubuntu build.)As I'm not seeing the dwc driver report anything in dmesg, I'm assuming it's some sort of defconfig or device tree settings issue rather than something in the clocks or handoff between the bootloaders and the secure peripheral firewall. Digging through the patch history, the change notes, the wiki, and the existing discovery kit builds/defconfigs/dt files hasn't yielded fruit.So; has anyone done the upgrade between releases and off the top of their head know what I'm missing?For com
i am using stm32mp135-dk board. i have installed STM32MP1-Ecosystem-v5.0.0 Starter Package now i want to create GUI with guizero what i do ?

Hi,For the past two days I have been trying to get a usb to serial adapter to work on this board, using both the starter package or buildroot. Whatever I do, it only shows up as new full-speed USB device number XX using ehci-platform. Is there something that I am overlooking?lsusb shows the device as:Bus 001 Device 010: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 Serial (UART) ICIt is a very basic adapter, US232R from FTDI.Thanks in advance!
Hi there,I have a custom board (with eMMC) that freezes in the middle of kernel loading:I am under the impression it is related with the rootfs.ext4, becuase it does not try the loading, but I am not sure yet.Flash table is the following (I don´t use all the rest of partitions):Is there any way I can debug or any way to understand what is going on?Thank you in advance.
hi expertsfor me this is the first time to use STM32MP1 family before i used powerpc-family CPU.with powerpc when i attached external ICs, in 8 bit CPU-A0 to external IC- A0in 16bit CPU-A1 to external IC-A0 with byte enable signalsis it the same way when i use STM32 FMCin STM32MP157-EV1 and STM32MP157-DK when 16bit and 32bit DDR accessed CPU A0 connected DDR A0so i wonder that STM32's AXI or AHB of CPU do some address connnection thank you

I wanted to file this on your github page but the issues tab is not available.When using your latest version of TF-A (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/arm-trusted-firmware/releases/tag/v2.8-stm32mp-r1.1) self-signing (TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT=1 ROT_KEY=privateKey.pem GENERATE_COT=1) for some reason does not work with mbedtls version > 2.28.2.Latest LTS version is 2.28.5 i tried all versions down from .5 - . 2The board wont boot I get error -80 ie. Authentication errorI'm using buildroot 2023.2.6Just so you guys know. :)Cheers !
Hi Team, I am working on DDR3L batch simulation in Hyperlynx with STM32MP131 series processor. While assigning the appropriate ODT models, I am getting some errors with respect to IBIS model. So please help me in rectifying the issuesPFA error log as wellAlso, currently I am using STM32MP135 series IBIS file for STM32MP131 I could not find the proper IBIS file. If any IBIS is there for STM32MP131 please do share that as well Warm Regards,Mythili B
i am using stm32mp135-dk board i am install the STM32MP1-Ecosystem-v5.0.0 Starter Package now i want to connect the board with my laptop using putty software ,i have the ip address of the board but did't have the password of the board. what will be the default password??
Hi All, I am working on board bring-up of custom board based on STM32MP157f-DK2. I am using the Starter Package provided by ST. I am able to flash SD card and boot the DK board, via USB interface, but I am facing some issue when I flash via UART interface, the CubeProgrammer software hangs and is not able to finish the flashing process. In our custom board which has STM32MP151fAC1 microprocessor, we have only UART interface, therefore we are not able to flash sd card with the image.It would be really appreciative if anyone can provide me with some lead in this issue.
I am trying to migrate from ecosystem 4.1.0 to 5.0.0 however after getting all the device trees to compile and build plus a new image I am encountering a Panic in optee. The problem is that it just says Panic and I can't tell based on the debug prints which direction to take.The board is a custom design based on the stm32mp157a-dk1 and all the vital components are the same (PMIC, SDMMC, etc)Any suggestions on how I could debug this further?I have attached the full debug console logs and is what I get from the console without the optee debug prints since it's too many lines: NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP153AAC Rev.Z NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21 NOTICE: Board: MBfdd8 Var2.15 Rev.B-14 INFO: Reset reason (0x15): INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por) INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe2000 INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_io INFO: Using SDMMC INFO: Instanc
With reference to RM0436, the STM32MP157 Reference Manual, revision 6.On pages 1066 and 1072 the schematic structures of a GPIO port are drawn (figures 119, 120, and 122). These all show an inverter circle on the gate of P-MOS output transistor and none on the N-MOS transistor. This suggests that the P-MOS is active low and the N-MOS is active high.However, the written documentation states the opposite: that the P-MOS is active high (pulls the output pin high for a "1" bit unless in open-drain mode) and the the N-MOS is active low (pulls the output pin low for a "0" bit).From experience I believe that the written documentation is correct, so should the schematic not be redrawn to show the inverter circle on the gate of the N-MOS output transistor?Attached please find annoted screen shots of the pages in question.
I have transplanted the latest opencv-4.8.1 on the STM32MP135F-DK Discovery Board and run a program to capture video stream from a camera on the borad.I found if I cmake the opencv-4.8.1 source code with "-DWITH_GSTREAMER=ON -DBUILD_GSTREAMER=ON",and when I am getting the camera data stream in the test program, the gstreamer library on the board reports the following error.(opencv_camera:2589): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: 19:26:41.671: gst_sample_get_caps: assertion 'GST_IS_SAMPLE (sample)' failed[ERROR:0@95.876] global cap_gstreamer.cpp:925 retrieveVideoFrame GStreamer: gst_sample_get_caps() returns NULLThen I cmake the opencv-4.8.1 source code with "-DWITH_GSTREAMER=OFF -DBUILD_GSTREAMER=OFF", the errors are gone and the test program runs normally.I think it might be that the opencv I compiled is not compatible with the gstreamer library included in the SDK.Is my understanding right? the version of the opencv I compiled:opencv-4.8.1the version of the gstreamer library included i
Hi,Currently we are working on a design with STM32MP131A MPU. We came across "Getting started with STM32MP13x lines hardware development" document in that JTAG connector pinouts mentioned is matching with STLINKV2 whereas in our design we have used the below pinouts(as per image) which will be matching with STLINKV3 pinoutsSo, Please suggest us whether can we go with STLINKV3 pinouts or STLINKV2 pinouts for JTAG connector
Hi I see the STM32MP1 has an ISO7816 interface, is there Linux device driver support for the ISO7816 interface. Or is there any documentation on how I might enable support for this.Thank you,Eoin
We are using developBoard by Emcraft with STM32MP157A.Emcraft release board with Openstlinux 4.14. If I want change devicetree of STM32MP1 i need use STM32CubeMX to export new devicetree.If i go in STM32CubeMX-->Project Manager-> Project OpenSTLinux setting, I CAN’T CHANGE version of STLinux.Is it possible to change this setting?Thanks

Not sure if this is the right place to write this, but I cannot help to write:- STLINK-V3PWR is a great tool.- I wish it had an external power input other than USB-C. It may be common in some computer setups, but powered USB ports might be challenging to find, and hubs with powered ports are not easy to find. The power specs of the ports are also not always given. An external power input would solve this for good. By chance, the USB hub I purchased a while ago for a different purpose has charging data ports, which helped in this case.- I did not check the recent boards, and I don't know if the product design thinking is that this is going to be used on customer-designed boards with debug connectors. However, not all boards have such connectors, and the debug pins on STLINK-V3PWR are not exposed. By chance, I have an adapter/break-out board for ARM10 and I used that but I think the product should have either a break-out board included or even better these pins (SWD) should also be
