Hi, i dont know if it is a stupid question or not but anyways, I was following the STM32MP157A-DK2 tutorial for developing on ARM Cortex A7 i maked the example given for hello_world.c with given makefike. It works fine on my linux pc but the borad i cant run it on the board. it gives this error every time. @@@@0hello_world: line 1: can't open @8 0 : no such file ./gtk_hello_world: line 1: ./gtk_hello_world: line 6: : not found ./gtk_hello_world: line 1: qXX+l: not found ELF: not found ./gtk_hello_world: line 1: ?h?p?x???: not found ./gtk_hello_world: line 6: ./gtk_hello_world: line 2: ? ? ????HH/HtH5/%hhhhhhhhqah: not found can't open-8?8@0 @00*@0: no such file./gtk_hello_world: line 3: Ah 1h hh%.D%.D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-D%-DH=
Hello totgehet,i wanted to build a Kernelmodule for my Projekt so i started to install the SDK and wrote a simple Programm to see if i can make a Programm in the userspace. This works fine. My next step was to Building and deploying the Linux kernel. For that I followed the installation https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Developer_Package. But when I want to Compile and install on a build directory I get this error from the makefil:make ARCH=arm uImage vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="$PWD/../build"make[1]: Entering directory '/opt/st/stm32mp1/3.1-openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12/stm32mp1-openstlinux-5-4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12/sources/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/linux-stm32mp-5.4.56-r0/build' GEN Makefilescripts/kconfig/conf --syncconfig Kconfig GEN Makefile SYSHDR arch/arm/include/generated/uapi/asm/unistd-common.h SYSHDR arch/arm/include/generated/uapi/asm/unistd-oabi.h SYSHDR arch/arm/

Hi, I tried to follow the example in the youtube workshop, moving a pwm timer to the a7 side. I was able to create a dts file with cube mx but when running make to build the dtb i get"reference to non existent node or label "ethernet_mac_address""Is it possibly some mismatch between versions of cube and the openst dist? Thanks

Hi,I need to supply external VREF for ADC which is assigned to M4 runtime context. Now when I start M4 firmware VREFBUF is activated (I'm measuring 2.5V on AVDD pin on DK2 kit). I suppose that I need to edit device tree, but I'm not sure. Can I for example set 3v3 supply in device tree and then connect wire between 3v3 and AVDD on DK2 board? How this can be done? Thanks in advance,Nenad
when i using a 100M network cable in a gigabit network,It should be recognized as a 100M network under normal circumstances,But STM32MP1 is recognized as Gigabit,at this time the network is useless, led is light but not blink,I changing cable to a Gigabit Ethernet cable solved the problem,I am using stm32mp157c-dk2
Hello,My goal is to harden my Hardware security. I am using an STM32MP157C and buildroot as main distro. What exactly do I need to know when it comes to security? I am dealing with the hardware part and I am working on an IoT project. My colleague takes care of the server Tel. We have already successfully transferred sensor data to the server. But I don't think I can improve network security from a hardware point of view, do I? I don't have access to the server.I want to secure my hardware, but in my mind I don't see many options (not my domain) besides managing file permissions and isolating some personal scripts in another user profile. For hardware security, we can start with a hardened kernel that custom compiles with priority over priority. Then we can have the root encrypted using LUKS or another option out of many. Data encryption before sending it to a server may be considered here. I also can use strong passwords and use a password manager like pass or even the Gnome keyring.A nu
Are there any specific kernel config options to get the console to work on UART4?I feel like I've tried every permutation of build, DT, and loading configuration at this point.I'm working on a custom board with a new 'machine' building on the Distribution packageI have the choosen node in the Device Tree with stdout-path set to the aliases uart4, deubg UART options enabled along with early printf, I tried disabling all display and touchscreen options. The output is correctly directed for u-boot and tf-a.I was able to configure and attach the debugger and the kernel appears to be running.
I have a custom board I made with the STM32MP1 and I seemed to have royally messed up the clock circuit. I have an ASDMB-24.000MHZ-LC-T clock chip generating a square wave clock but HSE_OUT is being pulled high which puts the STM32MP1 into analog-bypass mode. The chip does not seem to be booting to the point where I can access USB or UART DFU mode. UART lines are both low and I would expect the TX line to be high until a start bit is sent. I am assuming this is because the chip is not getting clocked properly. Looking to the experts to tell me if this really is the case or if I am chasing a red herring and it should work OK on analog-bypass with a square wave clock. I have attached a photo of the clock signal, best I have right now but I can get a better one later if it's required. I plan on attempting to perform some board surgery to cut the trace pulling the HSE_OUT high and tie it low but was looking for some input before I go do that. PA13 is low as well which I would expect to be
Hi AllWhen building "Eco system V2.1.0" distribution of Custom Board based on STM32MP151C chip, there is a problem that devicetree symbolic link is not created.Symbolic link of custom board devicetree is not created in "tmp-glibc/work-shared/stm32mp1-fiscal/kernel-source/arch/arm/boot/dts" folder."TF-A" and "U-Boot" also do not create symbolic link of custom board device tree.Due to the above, an error occurs because there is no "xxxxxxx.dtb" file when building with the "bitbake st-image-core" command. Please let me know if there is a way to fix it without manually creating the symbolic link. Thanks and regardsMachilus
Hi, I am currently looking at how to enable a GPIO pin on the M4 with the MP157A-DK1 kit. In the datasheet it is unclear to me how I can assign the gpio pin specifically to one of the two processors (A7 or M4) or is this not necessary? Thanks, Rens

Hello,No dev kit is available for STM32MP151x microprocessors, do you know if it is possible to replace the STM32MP157 chip by a STM32MP151 one on the STM32MP157A-DK1 ?I have read that STM32MP1 are pin to pin compatible, but I want to be sure and if someone has already done this, that would be interesting.Thank you in advance.Charles Blanchard
I am working on STM32MP1 DK2 as a Hobby Project, can anyone suggest me a complex project to get to a linux + RTOS based project developement. I want to get an hands on idea on RTOS + Linux project. I saw a video of Zephyr project with Intel which ran linux and RTOS by partitioning SD Card, I would like to work on such a complex project. Please help me with good resources on such projects?
We have a custom board based on the STM32MP157 series, and are trying to get the TF-A boot chain working. We have downloaded and compiled the linux kernel, u-boot, and arm-trusted-firmware for the STLinux ecosystem v2. We can boot to u-boot, and the kernel decompresses and begins running, but it appears that none of the peripheral clocks are accessable (I2C, SPI, SDMMC etc).My question is what part of the boot chain is repsonsible for initilizeing the non-secure rtt clocks? Is it uboot? I don't see any initialization there. I don't think it's the kernel, but please correct me if I am wrong. I see some Cortex M4 code generated by the CubeMX took, is it REQUIRED that the M4 initialize the non-secure rtt clocks?

Hi, I'm trying to generate secure boot keys using native linux tools. I assumed the secureboot format would be documented, but all I found was links to STM32MP_KeyGen.I can use openssl to generate ECDSA keys, and also get publik keys out. I am at teh point where I can take the private key from STM32MP_KeyGen, and convert it to a public key:openssl ec -in private-key.pem -pubout -out public-key.pemHowever, what I can't figure out is how to get the SHA256 hash of the public key in a way that I can burn in the OTP fuses. openssl hash functions give a different result than the one generated by STM32MP_KeyGen. What is the format that the chip expects?
