Hello, I'm changing the DDR3 size from 512MB to 1GB on the STM32MP135F-DK board. The modifications were done as below. After that, I met the OPTEE header parse error. Compilation and updating software on board was conducted according to the ST wiki. The STM32MP133A supports Linux, and has PTP support in its ethernet peripheral. However, there doesn't seem to be a driver, or port of ptpd for that specific hardware. The peripheral seems similar to other STM32 parts for which there are community ports of ptpd, buta) not officially supportedandb) for FreeRTOS, not Linux. Has anyone used ptpd with a STM32MP133A and Linux? Does ST support it at all?
Hi I see the STM32MP1 has an ISO7816 interface, is there Linux device driver support for the ISO7816 interface. Or is there any documentation on how I might enable support for this.Thank you,Eoin
We are using developBoard by Emcraft with STM32MP157A.Emcraft release board with Openstlinux 4.14. Hello Madam/sir, Recently we have purchased STM32MP157F-DK2 development board, and we are very new to this board. We are trying to install PyQt5 on this board but we are getting error "Package not found" and also we are not getting proper link to install Python "GPIO Libraries" So we required kind support for our future development by using this board. Not sure if this is the right place to write this, but I cannot help to write:- STLINK-V3PWR is a great tool.- I wish it had an external power input other than USB-C. It may be common in some computer setups, but powered USB ports might be challenging to find, and hubs with powered ports are not easy to find. The power specs of the ports are also not always given. An external power input would solve this for good. By chance, the USB hub I purchased a while ago for a different purpose has charging data ports, which helped in this case.- I did not check the recent boards, and I don't know if the product design thinking is that this is going to be used on customer-designed boards with debug connectors. However, not all boards have such connectors, and the debug pins on STLINK-V3PWR are not exposed. By chance, I have an adapter/break-out board for ARM10 and I used that but I think the product should have either a break-out board included or even better these pins (SWD) should also be
Hi all.I'm developing a QT/QML application for my embedded openSTLinux project. This application has to play some videos with relative audio. I'm trying to play a mp4 file. If I use the following gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=file:///home/root/media/my_video.mp4 video-sink="waylandsink sync=false"audio and video are played correctly. Instead, if I use QML code, for example this Item { id: idVideo visible: true width: 1024 height: 600 Video { id: videoExample anchors.fill: parent source: "file:///home/root/media/my_video.mp4" autoPlay: true focus: true } }or thisItem { id: idVideo visible: true width: 1024 height: 600 MediaPlayer { id: mdpExample source: "file:///home/root/media/my_video.mp4" autoPlay: true } VideoOutput { id: videoExample anchors.fill: parent source: mdpExample } }the display shows nothing (black screen) but the audio is played correctly.Below the "gstreamer" plugins I have installed in my openSTLinux imagegstreamer1.
Hi all,I'm part of a software team that's working on a product based on the stm32mp15, running Yocto images based on the V4.1.1 ecosystem release. We're currently thinking of upgrading the Qt version in our images from Qt5 to Qt6, and while we are able to get it working, we've noticed that the performance is slightly slower than Qt5's - at least in the example applications we provide. We ran some tests on the stm32mp15-eval board and built two sets of st-example-image-qtwayland images from a openstlinux-weston distro based on the v4.1.1 ecosystem, using Qt5 in one image and Qt6 on the other. We applied the following changes:For the Qt5 images, install an alternative version of the cinematicexperience package built from this fork on commit 5d44dd7d4fd563b33570a14c2274e7fa9cc7d84f: https://github.com/alpqr/qt5-cinematic-experienceFor Qt6 images, install the same cinematicexperience package, but using commit fea04d7004a1608308c11189d74bb92d3decbe3d instead (basically, modifying the sources

We are trying to achieve the same kind of variable watching Keil has but with the STM32CubeIDE. The variables do not appear in the Variables tab under the Debug view so we added dummy variables to the expression tab. The initial value of the variable shows fine and then when we resume the program after the HAL_Init breakpoint the 'Target not available.' error appears. Was anyone able to get the feature to work? Or are we supposed to use another program if we want this feature? Thanks,David.

I know this is probably a really stupid/noob question but I was trying to flash the STM32MP157D-DK1 board I have for the first time following the following guide:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_Package I ran into an issue where it started the flash and then couldn't reconnect. I did find this article that seems to describe exactly the issue I'm having:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mpus/faq-stm32mp1-stm32cubeprogrammer-usb-reconnect-error-at-stm32mp1/ta-p/49263 It recommends: In Uboot shell run a Dfu command : STM32MP> env set dfu_alt_info "DDR ram 0xC0000000 0x20000000" STM32MP> dfu 0 ram 0 Unfortunately, I don't know how to run a uboot shell to try this. I know this is probably a really stupid problem . . . but I'm also hoping that means it has an easy solution as well. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Dear all,I'm currently using the STM32MP157F-DK2 series, and I'm trying to use the ADC1 and ADC2 in dual regular simultaneous mode triggered by TIM2 out event. Also, I used one DMA stream (DMA2_stream0) to read the ADC values of the Common Data Register (ADC_CDR) as it is indicated in the MP157F reference manual:This is how I'm starting the ADCs:if(HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc2) != HAL_OK){/* Start Error */Error_Handler();}if (HAL_ADCEx_MultiModeStart_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *)adc_buff, 8) != HAL_OK){/* Start Error */Error_Handler();} if (HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim2) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}Also, I have checked the ADC's registers, to make sure the configuration is correct. This is the configuration for the ADC1 and ADC2:static void MX_ADC1_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0};ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}hadc1.Instance = ADC1;hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1;hadc1.I

Hi,in our STM32MP project, we have some unused securable peripherals. We generate our devicetree bindings with CubeMX where we have not selected anything for these peripherals. Accordingly, they do not show up in the `st,decprot` attribute in the `&etzpc` block in the devicetree. At boot, TF-A prints e.g.: "INFO: ETZPC: UART1 (3) could be non secure". What should this info tell us? Is there anything we need to be concerned about?According to the reference manual, the default register setting for USART1 should be "0b00" which corresponds to "secured". So in my opinion, USART1 should implicity be secured. Thanks in advance
HelloI would like to understand the EDMK (Encryption Decryption Master Key). This key is used to decrypt and encrypt BL2 and FIP binaries. Are there any other application of this key? For example, can it be used for LUKS ?Is it possible to access some API to encrypt/decrypt using this key? Or is it reserved to the ROM code? Thanks
Hi guys,The schematics for STM32MP15x-EVAL board (MB1263) uses a level shifter for SDcard from NXP (IP4856CX25) that is now obsolete. I found 2 close alternatives:ST6G3244MEBJR from ST, with one pin only (C4) different from IP4856TXS0206YFPR from TI, with 5 pins less then IP4856Questions:Is it possible to use the ST6G3244 from ST replacing the IP4856CX25 from NXP? If so, is it a direct replacement (with pin C4 of STG3244 tied to GND)?I noticed that the NXP part has a wider host side voltage range up to 3V3 than the ST part. I don't have the MB1263 board here to measure, so I need to know what is the Voh of the SDcard lines in STM32MP157 in MB1263. Can anyone help me on this?Is it possible to use the TXS0206 from Texas which have a wider host side voltage range compatible with 3V3?Is there any other alternative to replace the IP4856CX25 from NXP?Thank you guys in advance for any light on this topic.
I'm trying to get to know stm32mp1 while making a board for this thing. While using the default image provided by manufacturer seems to work. The kernel used is old compared to the current ST BSP and support from them isn't exactly great so I'm trying to migrate to the latest BSP. This isn't going so well.Following instructions found in the wiki. I've managed to compile it but when trying to run, it just stops at 'starting kernel'. Recompiling with LL_DEBUG and EARLY_PRINTK, resulted in some more info. The lines that seems to show an issue are:[ 1.599531] i2c_dev: i2c /dev entries driver [ 1.606005] syscon-reboot: probe of reboot failed with error -22 [ 1.733737] SMCCC: SOC_ID: ARCH_SOC_ID not implemented, skipping ....
