Hi,I was using an STM32MP157F-EV1 evaluation kit and followed the instructions mentioned in https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/X-LINUX-AI_Starter_package#Configure_the_AI_OpenSTLinux_package_repository and installed the AI OpenSTLinux package. I then proceeded to X-Linux-AI sample AI applications. The demos appeared on the onboard display on the evaluation kit.I tried opening the applications using the touch interface as well as the command line. Example https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/TFLite_Cpp_object_detectionIn both cases the application loads but there is not input from the onboard camera.I tried copying some test images onto the testdata folder and running the application to detect the static images. This works fine. The demo camera app on the demo launcher works fine as well. But none of the AI demo applications are able to use the stream from the camera.Below are a few things I tried.root@stm32mp1:~# /usr/local/demo-ai/computer-vision/tflite-object-detection/bin/

Hi,We are working on developing a custom board that necessitates the immediate activation of a buzzer with a predefined frequency as soon as the board is powered up. We are exploring the feasibility of utilizing the PWM driver in U-Boot to achieve this functionality. Can anyone advise if it is possible to configure the U-Boot PWM driver to meet this requirement? Additionally, we are seeking references or guidance regarding the necessary configurations in the U-Boot device tree and source code to accomplish this task effectively.

First of all i am new at embedded linux so i will be very pleased if you explain things like i am 5 years old.I have a python program working on my main PC uses openai-whisper ( Whisper Github ) . I want to run it on my STM32MP157c-DK2 board. I installed the starter package without demo launcher on my board (extensible.tsv). I don't have a linux PC so i am trying to do eveything on terminal via USB. When i usepip3 install git+https://github.com/openai/whisper.giti got lots of errors: Installing build dependencies ... doneGetting requirements to build wheel ... donePreparing metadata (pyproject.toml) ... doneCollecting numbaUsing cached numba-0.58.1.tar.gz (2.6 MB)Preparing metadata (setup.py) ... errorerror: subprocess-exited-with-error× python setup.py egg_info did not run successfully.│ exit code: 1╰─> [104 lines of output]/usr/lib/python3.11/site-packages/setuptools/__init__.py:85: _DeprecatedInstaller: setuptools.installer and fetch_build_eggs are deprecat
Hi! Is there a way to run unit tests automatically on the STM32MP157-DK2 board? I've managed to flash the device using the STM32 Programmer CLI, but after flashing, I need to manually switch the bootmode to boot from the SD-card.It would be great if the flash and boot could be triggered completely automatically, e.g. by a Jenkins script. If the device could flash and boot without any manual steps, it would make it possible to run various test scripts completely automatically on the real hardware. Is this in any way possible?
Dear Support and Experts Need your kindly help to advise. I am currently designing programming station to program STM32MP153 on a panel consist of 6 identical boards with command line utility. Kindly advise.1. Whether STM32CubeProgrammer is a right programmer for this part STM32MP153? 2. Do I need to have STM32CubeProgrammer for each of the board so totally is 6?3. In case we need to install 6 of the programmers so can we program all these 6 in parallel? Your advice will be highly appreciated!
HelloCan I use Windows and STM32CubeIDE to develop application using STM32MP135FAF7 (STM32MP135F-DK discovery kit).I tried to create empty project based on this discovery kit but it ended with message"This project requires OpenSTLinux version 'openstlinux-6.1.-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21', setup it now ?"and finally error message "This operation is only supported on Linux!"I would like to program "bare" A7 chip using STM32IDE using STLink, is it really possible ?Thanks in advance... and Best RegardsRadim
Sorry to bother you.I don't need the HDMI chip(sii9022) in my project. So, I first removed the HDMI chip on the STM32P157F-DK2. In fact, I manually removed it with a soldering iron. My SDK and development environment are based on "stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto- mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21" "en.SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz".At first I didn't make any modification, the mipi display screen will not work normally after the kernel boots, after some fumbling, I modified the device tree and now the mipi screen displays normally, my modification points are as follows(filename:stm32mp15xx-dkx.dtsi):hdmi-transmitter@39 { compatible = "sil,sii9022"; reg = <0x39>; iovcc-supply = <&v3v3_hdmi>; cvcc12-supply = <&v1v2_hdmi>; reset-gpios = <&gpioa 10 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; interrupts = <1 IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING>; interrupt-parent = <&gpiog>; #sound-dai-cells = <0>; status = "disabled"; p

hi,st engineer I am required to conduct Ethernet debugging on an stm32mp157a-st-discovery development board running the RT-THREAD operating system. Within the stm32mp157 Processor Reference Manual, I've encountered such option as follow:10/100M Gigabit Ethernet GMAC. It's mentioned that GMAC is an Intellectual Property (IP) from Synopsys. I want to use GMAC in RT-thread operating system, but i did not find the realted code. here is the link: https://gitee.com/rtthread/rt-thread/tree/master/bsp/stm32/stm32mp157a-st-discovery Do you have adapation for GMAC on RT-Thread?If you are not in charge of this aspect, could you please forward this to the relevant colleague who is responsible? Here is what i find in RM0436 Rev 6 Document.

Hi,Currently i am looking for an easy way:to change the device tree, to assign peripherals to the M4 Coprocessor for quasi real time applications. i do have a STM32MP157F-DK2 board for testing and also a board with Debian, which i purchased from a different vendor who has built it´s own Linux image, which i want to use.The vendor does not provide any CubeMX files for his design, or any other information regarding his design. So... do i need to built everything from scratch myself ?
Hi everybody, I'm trying to configure the Wi-Fi module on my custom board (based on the STM32MP153, the Wi-Fi module already tested OK) in Access point mode, and I found the official guide to set hostapd tool to do that: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_a_WLAN_interface_on_hotspot_mode However, from the tutorial, it seems that hostapd is already installed and preconfigured on the machine, but on my distro (built from st-image-core with openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.07.27) it seems that is not present by default... How can I add the tool on Yocto layers? Do I have to modify the kernel too? Should be best to add it on my custom/board-specific meta-layer. Thanks for your time
Hi,I'm attempting to test some Object Detection demo models from the X-LINUX-AI expansion package on the STM32MP157D-EV1 eval kit with a live camera video stream. However, I'm currently having what seems like a streaming problem with both the C++ or Python apps (refered to as "Object Detection COCO SSD v1"). When launching those apps on the device, the app window opens, but the stream never starts.Hence, to investigate the issue, I performed some manual GStreamer testing with command lines. It seems that with the CSI camera part of the kit, the stream will not start when the required data transfer rate is too high. For example, the stream will start with the following parameters: "video/x-raw, width=720, height=480, framerate=(fraction)15/1", but not with 30 fps with the same resolution. When we reduce the resolution to "width=320, height=240", we can reach 30 fps. Furthermore, when using a USB third party camera, the streaming limitation does no occur. Please find a
Hello, Since the STM32CubeIDE 1.14.0 release, some issues was faced when executing shell script in the pre/post build command. This issue was faced with the Windows version of the STM32CubeDE 1.14.0. Therefore, a patch is now available on ST site which fix this problem. KR,Semer.
Hello. We recently purchased a complete set of stm32mp157x-Ev. The documentation shows only the main connectors. Where can I find a complete schematic for both boards?
Hey All,So I know it's mentioned in the data sheet that the stm32mp1xx MPU's only support 16/32 bit DDR ram, and that it also mentions the limit of 1GByte total ram, but I just wanted to confirm this isn't possible and specifically why as I cannot find out much about what is the limiting factor here. For example this IC:https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intelligent-Memory/IM8G08D3FFDG-125I?qs=Y0Uzf4wQF3k9cXZekshqqQ%3D%3DAlternatively, could I push it up to 2GBytes by adding an additional MPU with its on 1GB of ram whilst also pushing it up as a quad core system? And if so, what the best communication method would be between them. Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi,we are generating STM32MP1 Code with CubeMX under Windows and add the needed lib file as references. That creates a link for each library in the CM4/.project file. <link> <name>Drivers/STM32MP1xx_HAL_Driver/stm32mp1xx_hal.c</name> <type>1</type> <locationURI>PARENT-3-PROJECT_LOC/Users/XXXX/STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_MP1_V1.6.0/Drivers/STM32MP1xx_HAL_Driver/Src/stm32mp1xx_hal.c</locationURI> </link> The project is shared with several developers and its possible that PROJECT_LOCATION is at a different folder level, what cause the build to crash if PARENT-3-PROJECT_LOC does not fit.We don't want to Copy the library files to the project folder so that they don't have to be commited to our git repo.In CubeIDE it is possible to convert the linked Resource path to absolut path, but this could be overwritten by CubeMX again. Is there a way to tell CubeMX Code generator to use the absolut path of Firmware Packag
Hello, I am currently using bare-metal MP13 solution in CubeIDE. I want to integrate uart with DMA. After configuring DMA settings for uart4, a following fragment of DMA init code has been generated:NVIC is not available for Cortex-A, but still its functions are being generated. My question is, how can I properly adjust MX_DMA_Init for uart interrupts without NVIC and code generation?Do you have any ideas? Thank you,Jacek S.
We are working with STM32MP135FAE7 processor. We are unable to get clock, chip select spi4.
