Hi there ST team!I'm asking this because I'm overwhelmed with all the different process and I'm not sure what's the correct way to do this. I have a qt quick app developed in qt creator for the stm32mp157. I already tested it in my target using the QT creator and it works as expected. Now, I would like to build an embedded Linux image and add this qt application into it. As far as I understand, I need to install the starter package on my target because that will configure some stuff. Then...I'm lost. If someone can explain a high level overview of how to do this it would be really nice. Thanks a lot in advance
I'm trying to build a linux image for this target. I had successfully(after a lot of trial & error) flashed the target with the Starter package. For some strange reasons when doing the distribution package, I had to reinstall my VM and now I'm trying again this process. This is the data before downloadingThe problem is that the download process fails at this stage:It happens the same with the distribution package with an image I already built I can confirm the "usb gadget" is forwarded to the VM. Thanks a lot in advance :)
Hi there ST team! I'm asking because I'm lost in all this process.I have a QT quick app developer in QT Creator. I've already followed a tutorial from QT and I was able to flash the app in the STM32MP157F-dk2 using QT Creator. Now, I want my target board to run an embedded Linux image, and the QT quick app to run in the user space of this distro.I already installed the STM32MPU Starter package and can confirm the target runs the demo app as expected. After this, I don't know how to continue. If I understand correctly, I need to:1. install the STM32MPU developer package from https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MPU_Developer_Package#Checking_the_prerequisites2. follow step 7.2 "Adding Linux user space application" from: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Developer_Package#Adding_a_.22hello_world.22_user_space_example The problem is that step 7.2 mentions some folder that I don't know where it came fromcd <tag>/sources/<arm architecture>-<
I having some difficulties figuring out details about the ADC usage under Linux, in particular on the MP135F-DK.I located the io driver sources, and the drive itself seems to work:Checking the board user manual, the GPIO pins PC2 and PC3 are routed onto CN8, and seem available for application usage as ADC inputs. Can I access this two channels via the existing /sys/bus/iio/devices interface ?Or would I have to modify the sources ?Here a code excerpt from the driver (stm32-adc.c):static const struct stm32_adc_regspec stm32mp13_adc_regspec = {.dr = STM32H7_ADC_DR,....or_vddcore = { STM32MP13_ADC2_OR, STM32MP13_OP0 },.or_vddcpu = { STM32MP13_ADC2_OR, STM32MP13_OP1 },.or_vddq_ddr = { STM32MP13_ADC2_OR, STM32MP13_OP2 },.ccr_vbat = { STM32H7_ADC_CCR, STM32H7_VBATEN },.ccr_vref = { STM32H7_ADC_CCR, STM32H7_VREFEN },};Do the definitions marked in red mean only this specific channels are available ?
Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a project to set up the X-STM32MP-GNSS1 GNSS module with my Raspberry Pi 5. The goal is to retrieve GNSS data and potentially other sensor data provided by the module.Specifically, I’m looking for help with Setting Up Serial Communication, like How to configure the Raspberry Pi 5 to communicate with the X-STM32MP-GNSS1 via serial /dev/ttyAMA0 (I believe this the the port on which it communicates.) also, Any documentation or a list of serial commands I can use with the X-STM32MP-GNSS1 to enable GPS, get position data, etc. a sample code would be really helpful. Thanks in advance for any advice or resources. I’d really appreciate any pointers to get this working smoothly!
Hello everyone!I'm getting started with STM32mp157f-DK2. I was able to successfully build images using Yocto as well as buildroot (using stm32mp157c config) and port various command line applications to stm32mp157f-dk2 I'm a trying to develop/port Qt, Gtk applications for the stm32mp157f-dk2 board. Also Can someone help me with how to compile Qt / Gtk applications for stm32mp157f-dk2? Is there a good documentation/guide available for that? Thanks in advance!
Hi there STM team!I need to build a embedded Linux image for a STM32MP15 target. My application has a QT GUI already implemented. What is the best approach to create this image? I know OpenSTLinux exist but I don't fully understand what's the advantage, compared to doing everything from scrath in yocto. Thanks a lot in advance

The following output seems to be the default: root@stm32mp2:~# cat /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/fw_format TEE However, for debugging purposes, I would like to turn off firmware verification, and make the remoteproc driver accept plain ELF files. How can this be accomplished?
Hello, I am working with the STM32MP257F-EV1 on version 1.16.0 of CubeIDE. Specifically I am following the guide laid out in this link: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP2_boards/STM32MP257x-EV1/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-M33/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_firmwareI am trying to run the debug but when I do I get the following output:Open On-Chip Debugger 0.12.0+dev-00597-ga5a21219f (2024-06-03-11:02) [https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/OpenOCD]Licensed under GNU GPL v2For bug reports, readhttp://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.htmlsrst_only srst_pulls_trst srst_gates_jtag srst_open_drain connect_deassert_srstInfo : Listening on port 6666 for tcl connectionsInfo : Listening on port 4444 for telnet connectionsInfo : STLINK V3J15M7B5S1 (API v3) VID:PID 0483:3753Info : Target voltage: 3.284210Info : Unable to match requested speed 5000 kHz, using 3300 kHzInfo : Unable to match requested speed 5000 kHz, using 3300 kHzInfo : clock speed 3300 kHzInfo : stlin
Hi,I am building my STMP157 board using the reference of "STMP15X-SOM" of Olimex. In that the RAM used is K4B4G1646D-BYK0, but I am unable to find the part number in online store. Can you please help me in finding the different RAM which can be used instead of it.If I am changing the RAM what are the changes needed to be done in the U-boot file to run the processor.
Hello everyone,I am using the STM32MP135 SoM from PHYTEC, and I’m creating a custom device tree source (DTS) file tailored to our carrier board. I’m having trouble controlling the backlight PWM signal. I’m unable to enable the PWM and enable signal as expected, although I can change the enable pin status if I remove the enable pin definition from the backlight node. Additionally, there is no [used] indication next to GPIOI pin 0, which I’ve configured as the panel enable GPIO. I suspect this issue may be related to the LCD node configuration.I’ve attached my GPIO states and the DTS file for reference.
Hello. I am trying to get a custom design using STM32MP135F to boot.Unlike the DK, it does not use I2C busses, and I2C is not listed in the DTS files as created by STM32CubeMX.I follow the wiki "How to compile the device tree with developer package" .When I run the make command, I get error messages:i2c4_pins_a not foundalso errors about sdmmc2 pins, which is also not used nor mentioned in the dts.Is there somewhere a dts coupling that I am missing? Thanks for helping.Jan

While I got some experience with Cortex M devices - including several STM32 families - and Linux as host OS, I'm pretty new to asymmetrical dual-core systems like the STM32MP1 devices. What sets them apart is the tight integration of both cores, and the ability to run realtime bare-metal applications in close cooperation with Linux as a host OS. Or so I think. What I got already are the MP135-DK on the way, the OpenLinux Dev package installed and running, and a small user space application built. The CubeMP1 and CubeMP13 packages with the CM4 BSP, HAL, and very few examples. And of course the MP1 datasheets/reference manuals, which I browsed.I think I have identified some of the important chapter, but I'm not yet through. So, here my questions.Since I haven't found any such thing yet, is there a single proper documentation of the API for synchronisation and communication between the CA7 and CM4 core ?In particular, configuration of CM4 setting, code deployment (as the CM4 seems to execute
Hi Everyone,I have problem with custom carrier and dts. I am using MP135 SoM from PHYTEC and when I add panel backlight property to the panel node, there is no pwm output, but when I comment out this feature from the panel node, the panel backlight works as expected. Can you check my dts? I am using a generic RGB display. Can you please check my device tree configuration?Backlight as a GPIO is working correctly, but when i try to use it as pwm, the pin line is always fixed to low.Inside my .dts:This is my panel definition:panel { compatible = "newkoro,display","simple-panel"; //enable-gpios = <&gpioe 12 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; //reset-gpios = <&gpioe 11 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; backlight = <&backlight>; power-supply = <&vdd>; status = "okay"; port@0{ //reg = <0>; panel_in: endpoint { remote-endpoint = <&ltdc_ep0_out>; }; }; }; This is backlight as simple gpio (working)//backlight: panel-backlight { // compatible = "gpio-backlight"; // gpios = <&gpioe 4 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>; //default-off; //}; This is backlight as pwm (not working) backlight: panel-backlight { compatible = "pwm-backlight"; pwms = <&backlight_pwm 0 100000 0>; brig

How can I move pass this step? Also, after those steps it sends me to https://source.android.com/docs/setup/download#installing-repo
Hello, I am working on getting the Developer Package for the STM32MP257F-EV1 board up and running. I am confused on the step where tells us to do the following command:[ "${ARCH}" = "arm" ] && imgtarget="uImage" || imgtarget="Image.gz"export IMAGE_KERNEL=${imgtarget}Followed bymake ${IMAGE_KERNEL} vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="${OUTPUT_BUILD_DIR}"I am assuming that for ARCH I should be writing arch64 which is proved by the fact that when I try to run that I am getting an error for the first Image target, But I keep getting the error *** No rule to make target 'uImage' or whatever I put for the Image, I have tried a variety of Image names that I found in some of the files like: Image, uImage, zImage, Image.gz, and bzImage. The only one that will not get this error is bzImage, which will end up getting errors with the files later about undeclared variables and it seems that it is making it for x86 architecture. So what is the Image target I should be using and where do I fi
