On the STM32MP157C-DK2, can I use/interface the available muRata 1Dx with core-M4 only (& not core-A7)? I am not quite sure if the wifi module 1dx (U8 on the kit) is controlled by A7 or M4?Anyways, I want to interface it with M4. So, can it be possible?
After the OTG repeatedly switches the host and slave states, the HOST is no longer recognized
We are trying to use circular DMA to transfer data from ADC1 into a buffer in MCU SRAM using CubeMX-generated code to configure the ADC and DMA. The DMA stream encounters a transfer error on transferring the first item. I have tried clearing the DMA error flags before starting the transfer with HAL_ADC_Start_DMA but that did not help.The device is an STM32MP157C running in Production mode. ADC1 and DMA2 are assigned to the M4 core.Using a debugger it can be seen that the peripheral address and memory address are configured correctly for the DMA stream. However, the DMA_HWCFGR1 register for DMA2 shows that all streams are in double-buffer mode despite the DBM bit being cleared in the stream configuration register, is this normal?CubeMX-generated code:static void MX_ADC1_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0}; ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 1 */ /*
Hi STM-Team,I am working with STM32MP1 evolution board. It has 512MB of RAM memory. I want to load some custom data (1024 byes) in the last some offset of RAM memory (~500MB offset address). So, I am trying to use below command from u-boot prompt. Hi,I'm using stm32mp157a-dk1 and I would like to use rpmsg_sdb for exchanging data buffers with the coprocessor (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_exchange_data_buffers_with_the_coprocessor).I built the image for the A7 following the "STM32MP1 Distribution Package" tutorial without problem (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Distribution_Package#Flashing_the_built_image).But in the dev folder I can't find the rpmsg_sdb device.Is there a prebuild image for A7 with this driver?If not, how can I add the recipe rpsmg-sdb-mod Yocto recipe to the image of the distribution tutorial using bitbake?In case, is there other ways to get the device rpmsg_sdb?Thank you in advance.Best regards,Andrea Segalla
Hi I built the linux kernel by following the steps on the stm32mpu wiki web. All default configuration except enabled earlyprintk. I have STM32MP1 DK2 with me. I want to work on some projects on STM32MP1 DK2 to know the working more. Mainly on RTOS ,Linux and display.
Hi, I am not newer for stm32cubeide. But the stm32cubeide had very bad experience on stm32mp1 platform. Most of the time the debug fails with the error prompt in the screenshot below. The solution is also just to reconnect the stlink or serial port.So, for now I try to debug cm4 applications using openocd + gdb in a command way. It is much better than stm32cubeide in terms of efficiency except that I need to remember some commands and it is not as convenient to use as the graphical menu on stm32cubeide. Probably because eclipse is too bloated, using vscode + openocd + gdb to debug cm4 applications is a good way.
I have been trying to connect to stm32mp157x-DK2 via on board stl-ink and to my custom board via stlink-v3set, using the STM32CubeProgrammer, but on both boards I get the same error. I have tried selecting engineer and productions mode - no luck. What am I doing wrong? - see a picture bellowAlso why stm32mp157x-DK2 - allows full access via uart to boards memory and custom board does not (see schematics bellow)1.pic. J-tag error of not detecting MPU on eval-board.2.Pic. Eval-board st-link schematics.3.Pic.Custom board - pins that connects to STlink-V3set.

A little clarification: I'm not adding my machine. It's standart machine. The distribution is loaded into the board and everything works, but I would like to get rid of this warning so that everything is clean. What could it be?
Hi ,I am trying to add a custom recipe in the meta-st-stm32mp layer. Hi there, I am trying to decrease the RPMSG buffer size from 512 to 256 bytes. I have successfully managed to increase the buffer size in the past to 1024 and allocate more memory for 32VRINGS. When attempting to decrease the buffer size to lower than 512 in the linux side Cube IDE will prompt "Failed to insert all hardware breakpoints...". I am really curious on how openamp_conf relates to hardware breakpoints.The configuration for both sides as follows:Linux Sidevirtio_rpmsg_bus.c :#define MAX_RPMSG_NUM_BUFS (256) #define MAX_RPMSG_BUF_SIZE (256)stm32mp15xx-dkx.dtsi:vdev0vring0: vdev0vring0@10040000 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0x10040000 0x0800>; no-map; }; vdev0vring1: vdev0vring1@10040800 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0x10040800 0x0800>; no-map; }; vdev0buffer: vdev0buffer@10041000 { compatible = "shared-dma-pool"; reg = <0x10041000 0x10000>; no-map; };M4 SideSTM32MP157CACX_RAM.ldMEMORY
I try to use STM32CubeMX generate project with makefile, but the option is gray. It's can not select. Does the cubemx not support generate makefile on stm32mp1 platform ?
The RTC clock is on motherboard and usesthis driver (M41T62). I obtained source code from your website. I try to compile this driver as a linux module (debian). I have learnt that this driver is not supported.
Hi,I am trying to integrate swupdate for OTA update integration for STM32MP1.In the due process I will be in need to modify the flash layout file a bit , since I am trying have an extra rootfs partition , named partition B on /dev/mmcblkp06.I referred to flash layout currently mentioned here.It looks to me that there is not any support for the extra rootfs which is provided.How can i do that? I am sure that I will be in need to change the flashlayout but since offsets are defined static in the mentioned link , I was wondering what should be offset calculation for achieving the same.I want to achieve following scheme:#Opt Id Name Type IP Offset Binary - 0x01 fsbl1-boot Binary none 0x0 arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-stm32mp157c-ev1-usb.stm32 - 0x03 fip-boot Binary none 0x0 fip/fip-stm32mp157c-ev1-trusted.bin P 0x04 fsbl1 Binary mmc1 boot1 arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-stm32mp157c-ev1-emmc.stm32 P 0x05 fsbl2 Binary mmc1 boot2 arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-stm32mp157c-ev1-emmc.stm32 PD 0x06 fip Binary
IDE suggested that I upgrade STLink FW on my STM32MP1-DK2 discovery board. Now when I connect my Linux PC to USBC on DK2, device isn't recognized by STMProgrammer (also nothing shows up in dmesg).
Hi, I downloaded the image file required by STM32MP157-EV1 from Yocto, but this error occurred when I used ST32CubeProgrammer. Does anyone know how to solve it?Error:Yocto image information:
Hello,I am working on IPC between M4 and A7 and it works properly using the "logic analyzer" example. I changed it according to my needs but not the buffers. 1 . I could read the data from 3 buffers, but often buffers are swapping. I would like to what causes this problem and how to solve it?2. When I start IPC, one of the CPU processes goes into 100%. Is it normal for the IPC? and is there anything that I could change to reduce the CPU processes? Thank you in advance
The Nucleo F446RE pops up with a media directory as soon as I plug the USB into the ST-LinkThe STM32MP157A-DK1 does not do that. And when I try to program it it says NO ST-LINK Detected. I have tried the Boot switches in every position but I understand Boot 0 Off, and Boot 2 On should let me program the M4 over the ST-Link. Help.
Hi!My question is: how can I create a stm32mp1 project with STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0 from scratch?I've browsed through the wiki pages, and I only came across examples where they import ready projects.If I create a new project by choosing for example the stm32mp157c-dk2 card as target, the project is created without any problems.I can modify and build the Cortex-M4 subproject without any problems.I can also modify the .ioc file and regenerate the code.I am able to build GTK and Qt userspace example programs in the Cortex-A7 subproject (I built the st-example-image-qtwayland image and the SDK).So it all works. What I can't do:In CubeMX I select which IP belongs to which context. CubeMX generates the new device trees. How can I build .dtb's from these in CubeIDE?The wiki page is not completely clear to me :https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_manage_OpenSTLinux_projects_in_STM32CubeIDEI cannot follow the steps described here because the compilation stops with the following error:*** *** Con
I believe HSE is 24 MHz, DIVM3 is /2 (12 MHz) DIVN3 is X34 (408 MHz) DIVP3 is /2 (204 MHz) But the screen says it is 208.87793. I thought I knew how the PLL worked. And it is not like this. I have a screen shot.
I tried setting the i2c frequency to less than 20KHz but I got the following error:[ 1.788573] stm32f7-i2c 40012000.i2c: no solution at all[ 1.792517] stm32f7-i2c 40012000.i2c: failed to compute I2C timings.[ 1.798793] stm32f7-i2c 40012000.i2c: Impossible to compute I2C timings.[ 1.805717] stm32f7-i2c: probe of 40012000.i2c failed with error -1This is the device tree change:&i2c1{ pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&i2c1_pins_mx>; pinctrl-1 = <&i2c1_sleep_pins_mx>; status = "okay"; /* USER CODE BEGIN i2c1 */ clock-frequency = <10000>; /* USER CODE END i2c1 */ };
