Hi,Out kit use the chip stm32mp157C.The schematic show the PHY configuration.dts_file_relate2eth.txt: my device tree code related to the ethernet.loginfo.txt: show error information. Please advise how to solve it.Thanks,QiZhang
We are using OpenSTLinux as base distro for configuring and developing product on a custom STM32MP1 based embedded board. We plan to develop some testing and validation plans for the same. Just wanted to understand what sort of testing is carried out for the OpenSTLinux to ensure the stability? How can we request access to those if needed?
OpenStLinux 5.4 Dunfell 06 22 20 Boot chain of TF-A, U-Boot and kernel. I had forked the three .dts files with custom board names. TF-A starts fine. But in u-boot, hangs before it starts. With exact same dts contents just using original dts name as the DEVICE_TREE then u-boot runs fine. I have heard that the "compatible" property needs to be the same, which it is, but that seems to have no effect.Example u-boot build:make DEVICE_TREE=my-device-tree-name #won't bootmake DEVICE_TREE=original-device-tree-name #bootsAny ideas?
Hello, I see two folders with the same name(STM32MP1xx_HAL_Driver) - one inside the CM4 and another one level above it.For the development of CM4 which folder to consider for the drivers? If it is the one inside the CM4 do I need to move the CMSIS as well inside it?Same question for the middleware folder, which one to be considered? the one inside the CM4 or outside it? I see that enabling any Middleware component it generates the source code inside both the Middleware folder.(e.g Free RTOS)Br,D
I have a design based on the STM32MP157C (technically the Octavo SiP) which simulatenously uses PA0, PA1, ANA0, and ANA1. While measuring analog signals on the device, I'm noticing that the CPU is biasing the ANA0 and ANA1 signals -- based on a measurement across a filter resistor which has a higher voltage on the CPU side than on the measurement side.CubeMX did not generate any special pin control definitions for my use of ANA0 and ANA1; but I'm suspcious that there's either a pull up I need to disable, or the ANAx_SEL bits in SYSCFG_PMCR are not being set correctly. What pin control settings, or ADC configuration settings, should be present in the device tree for best performance of the ANA0 and ANA1 pins?
Hi everybody,I would like to simulate a USB scanner device using libcomposite, so I modified the USB FIFO sizes in the DTS as follows:usbotg_hs{ u-boot,dm-pre-reloc; pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&usb_otg_hs_pins_mx>; pinctrl-1 = <&usb_otg_hs_sleep_pins_mx>; status = "okay"; /* USER CODE BEGIN usbotg_hs */ phys = <&usbphyc_port1 0>; /* 0: UTMI switch selects the OTG */ phy-names = "usb2-phy"; u-boot,force-b-session-valid; u-boot,force-vbus-detection; dr_mode = "peripheral"; g-rx-fifo-size = <256>; g-np-tx-fifo-size = <256>; g-tx-fifo-size = <128 128 64 16 16 16 16 16>; /* USER CODE END usbotg_hs */ }; This allows me to open the device declaring USB packet sizes of 512 bytes instead of the maximum which would be allowed by stm32mp151.dtsi (64 bytes, the kernel panics declaring 512). After the configuration of configfs I pull up my application device-side, which borrows from the kernel example in to

Hey I have the same problem as in this link:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001Te4msSAB/how-to-setup-rs485-with-linuxrs485enabledatboottimeCan you please help us?
Hello, I am trying to associate the DMA1 in M4 context with USART2 but whenever I click "add" on the right pane, I see no USART2 on that, on the contrary, I see UART4 it on DMA2 as shown below. If I try to put DMA2 in M4 context, UART4 now appears in DMA1 and I cannot Assign both of them to M4 No uart/usart when i click add , please see below image : My aim is to associate the USART2 with the DMA1 if it is possible. Please guide. Regards, D
Hi, We are using Stm32mp157a Processor in Our custom board. We are configuring PA5 as DAC1_OUT2.We want to configure DMA for DAC. But we didnot get an DMA setting tab in DAC configuration in stm32 Cube mx.How do i enable DMA for DAC? You can see in below Attachment.

Hello guys, I am working with STM32MP157C-DK2 board and Tapo C200 camera(ONVIF). I would like to display the IP camera live feed through the LCD screen. How can I do that? I'm still a newbie, so step-by-step process or any link towards a good documentation regarding this would be nice :)
Hi,Can anyone provide dac sine wave genearation Example using stm32mp1 processor.
I loaded my custom built yocto image into my SD card using the STM32CubeProgrammer and the process was completed successfully. However, when I toggled the boot switches to boot from SD card, I was not able to connect my host computer (a Ubuntu 20.04 desktop PC) to STM32MP1 board via CN11. When I plugged the micro USB cable from my host computer into CN11 on the STM32MP1 board, my host computer did not detect any new USB device. Can you please advise the steps to troubleshoot this?
HiWe are using stm32mp157a processor in my custom board. We want to configure DAC in cortex M4.In stm32h745xi DAC has Default Timer for interrupt.Where as in stm32mp157a we dont have that timer configuration for DAC .you can see the difference in below attachments.
Hi,I'm trying to bring up a custom board based on STM32MP151C MPU. The design is widely taken from the devkit.I'm booting from SDCARD and bootpins are set accordingly (b101).One thing that is changing is the I2C4 pins for PMIC interface (still on I2C4 but different pins). So we changed the device tree of TF-A for that.Concerning the HSE, we keep the same configuration (external crystal, 24MHz).From this post;https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000005qRjZSAU/cannot-boot-up-custom-board-which-based-on-stm32mp157cdk2-only-get-message-from-uart-panic-at-pc-0x2ffdc323-exception-mode0x00000016-at-0x2ffda000?t=1652971830558We confirmed that I2C and HSE should be configured correctly. We have tried to check the configuration for I2C and clocks. We didn't see anything wrong for now.In our case, PC is at a different address (0x2ffdaa77). Does it mean something different? Also, I don't have an exception as the post explain (Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffda000), only the PANIC line.Do you
Hi,I've finally reached the stage where I can test the SSP flowI burned a debug AES128GCM key on my ST-HSM-v2 cardI created a 148 bytes secrets file and passed it through TrustedPackageCreator tool to get the 244 bytes fileI created a signed ssp-tf-a binAnd I have a stm32mp157f-ev1 board to sacrificeI am following commands inhttps://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5510-overview-of-the-secure-secret-provisioning-ssp-on-stm32mp1-series-stmicroelectronics.pdfandhttps://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00403500-stm32cubeprogrammer-software-description-stmicroelectronics.pdfHere is where I am currently stuck at:The command: "STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=USB1 -ssp .\secrets.ssp .\tf-a-ssp-stm32mp157f-ev1-ssp-signed.stm32 hsm=1 slot=2" always failsscenario #1:board is started into DFU mode -> I execute the command (as suggested by the first doc as a valid method)I get:USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s) Manuf. ID : STMicroelectronics Product ID : DFU in HS Mode @Device ID
Hi community,I'm facing problems to upload the flash layout on a custom board with the STM32CubeProgrammer. I tried with the last version (v2.10.0) but also older ones. The USB communication seems to be working fine as there are not checksum errors or alike. However, for some reason UBoot can still not parse the uploaded layout.Any idea how this problem can happen even if the USB communication is correct? Could this be a RAM misconfiguration problem even if UBoot can run from RAM and the basic UBoot RAM tests are successful? For more information, I attach the STM32CubeProgrammer log and the UART4 log.Thank you in advance for any insight!Bests,Moises
Could you explain to me what is the purpose of the different bits associated to the tampers?I am mainly focus on using the passive tampers of the STM32MP1 and I have seen the following configuration bits I don't fully understand:What I understand:Register CR1 - TAMPxE = Enables/Disables the tamperRegister CR2 - TAMPxTRG = In PASSIVE mode determines if the tamper is triggered in logic level 0 or 1.Register CR2 - TAMPxNOER = Does not erase the backup register/does not block reading of the BCKSRAM.Register SR - TAMPxF = Flag set when the tamper is triggered.Register CSR - CTAMPxF = Bit to clear the SR tamper flag. What I am confused about:Register CR2 - TAMPxMSK = Does this bit stops the system to execute the interrupt and stops the backup register erasure? What is the difference between setting this to 1 and setting TAMPxIE to 0 + TAMPxNOER to 1?Register IER - TAMPxIE = I do understand this enables/disables the interrupt generated by the tamper triggered but I do not understand the relati
HI,I'm not able to get the FDCAN filter working on a STM32MP157C-DT2. I'm able to receive valid ID' with no problem, however, invalid ID's are getting through.Would someone be kind enough to take a quick look at my setup to make sure I did not miss anything. Please see attached code.Thank you!
Hello, I am working on a custom Boot Loader (SSBL) for the STM32MP157F-EV1 board to replace U-Boot in the boot chain (BL33), this is a requirement for my project. As I understand, to boot the Linux Kernel it is needed to provide 3 values through the first 3 registers as follows: R0 = constant 0 R1 = Machine Type R2 = Address of loaded DTB What would be the MACH_TYPE needed to pass to the linux kernel to boot through the register R1? The list of MACH_TYPES can be found in https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/v5.17-rc6/source/arch/arm/tools/mach-types. But I do not find an specific one for this board or any stm MPU. Thank you, Andrés Gamboa
