Hello,How to use ST link programmer from NUCLEO-WB55RG to connected to STM32WB5MMG module to flash my code.
Hello, Is there a PDF describing - how to move code for NUCLEO-WB55RG to STM32WB5MMG module ?
Hi,I'm having an issue regarding sending commands to the Bootloader by UART. My commands are followed by a NACK. I'm working with an STM32WL5MOC and my baudrate is set at 9600 (Also tried with 115200). Here's my sequence:Sending 0x7F twice and receiving an ACK. Then, sending 0x00FF to get the commands and receiving a NACK.If I'm sending 0x7F once, I'm receiving a NACK after the byte 0x00 of my first command as bellow. It's kind of unsync.Do you have an idea of why I'm getting NACK after each command I'm trying to send? According to the AN3155, 0x00 is not a protected command and should receive something. Thanks,Alexandre
Hi,I am trying to get the LoRaWAN test project running using the Nucleo-L073RZ and I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1. However, the official STM example does not transmit. Can you help me figure out the issue?
NUCLEO-WB09KE's ST-Link V3 generate FAIL.TXT and DETAILS.TXT how to fix it I have confirmed that the ST-LINK SWD connection is normal. When I pull up BOOT, I can download the code normally
I am evaluating the BLE feature of STM32WBA52CG with the NUCLEO-WBA52CG board.I followed the following wiki page and successfully built and flashed the example code.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32WBA_BLE_STM32CubeMX Here is the log from the device:SNVMA_Init - Corrupted banks erases [IsHeaderOk]Start of CRC computationEnd of CRC computation, value : 6425SNVMA_Register returned 0Start of CRC computationEnd of CRC computation, value : 6425SNVMA_Restore returned 0==>> Start Ble_Hci_Gap_Gatt_Init functionSuccess: aci_hal_write_config_data command - CONFIG_DATA_PUBADDR_OFFSETPublic Bluetooth Address: 00:08:e1:2a:12:34Success: aci_hal_write_config_data command - CONFIG_DATA_IR_OFFSETSuccess: aci_hal_write_config_data command - CONFIG_DATA_ER_OFFSETSuccess: aci_hal_set_tx_power_level commandSuccess: aci_gatt_init commandSuccess: aci_gap_init commandSuccess: aci_gatt_update_char_value - Device NameSuccess: aci_gatt_update_char_value - AppearanceSuccess: hci_le_s
Initially, the server works normally. The client can send data, connect and disconnect. All events are fired normally. But after I send the notification with aci_gatt_update_char_value_ext (data length is 243 bytes and MTU is 300),, it stops handling server events. No events are fired. I can only continue sending data to client with the notification.Has anyone experienced this or have any idea what it could be? I didn't find anything about this in my research.
Hi,I am still trying to intetrage my custom board with an STM32WB55CG into my Tuya/Smartlife System with the target of transmitting sensordata and receiving commands (e.g. LED color). In this https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/stm32wb55cg-zigbee-connection-tuya-smartlife-with-st-example/m-p/720530#M21149 question, I was told to use P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\Zigbee\Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Distrib Example with which I could successfully connect the controller to my network. Since I have a custom board (other chip than Nucleo), I needed to create a new CubeMX project in which I copied all interfaces from the example and applied my pinout. In CubeMX I found the option to configure my Chip to a Zigbee purpose already, so I chose the following settings:SettingMy ProjectExampleZigbee ApplicationFull Function DeviceFull Function DeviceZigbee Network ModeCentralizedDistributedZigbee Device RoleRouterN/AHWUARTDisabledEnabledDevice IDOnOff SwitchOnOff
Hello,I have still connection problem to Tuya gateway. Simple OnOff application can connect to Tuya gateway, but when I try to connect STM32WB5MM-DK as a temperature sensor, connection fails.Connection to Tuya gateway succeeds with STM32WB5MM-DK example OnOff_Server_Coordinator and On/Off button comes visible on SmartLife app. But with temperature sensor application connection won't work. The application things that it has succeed to connect, but nothing comes visible in SmartLife app. Little display shows "Join ok". According to Wireshark logs, temperature sensor won't reply to gateway's read attributes request where it wants to read basic attributes:Command: Read Attributes (0x00)Attribute: Manufacturer Name (0x0004)Attribute: ZCL Version (0x0000)Attribute: Application Version (0x0001)Attribute: Model Identifier (0x0005)Attribute: Power Source (0x0007)Attribute: Unknown (0xfffe)OnOff application responds for that, but not quite like should. Anyway connection succeed.Connection s
I need the firmware for the gateway of the P-NUCLEO-LRWAN3.
Hello,I would like to perform a LoRa Radio tests described in AN5796 - STM32WL Series RF Bench, but I do not find the needed files. So could you please share a link to firmware(STM32WL...) and software(python script and RSSMBV100 waveform). Thanks
According to AN5247 I can use ST BLE Sensor to perform a BLE OTA firmware update. I've added the reboot characteristic to my design, but how can I get ST BLE Sensor to recognize my custom board? There appears to be an option to add a new design, but I haven't found documentation for it.
I have a board based on the same chip as the ble_ota example. When I try to run this code on my board I'm finding that it immediately crashes. The crash happens before the debugger even hits the first line. I'm assuming this is something simple, maybe related to flash layout or something. Can anyone provide some guidance as to troubleshooting or a better method of porting this design?
Hi,I'm trying to read battery information from a BMS chip (I2C slave) via I2C. And I also tried to capture the clock signal on SCL with scope but it failed. This chip is already used in our other project with another MCU. This is my first time to use STM32WB55CG. Could you help me with the issue, please?Here's my screenshot of I2C register.Here's my source code for I2C.static void MX_I2C_Init(void){ hi2c1.Instance = I2C1; //hi2c1.Init.Timing = 0x00000E14; hi2c1.Init.Timing = 0x00707CBB; // 100kHz hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0; hi2c1.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT; hi2c1.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE; hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress2 = 0; hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress2Masks = I2C_OA2_NOMASK; hi2c1.Init.GeneralCallMode = I2C_GENERALCALL_DISABLE; hi2c1.Init.NoStretchMode = I2C_NOSTRETCH_ENABLE; if
Hi, I have a product with 2 microcontrollers on the same PCB(running independently). One is STM32G030 and other is STM32WB5MMG(ble module containing STM32WB55). I enabled internal bootloader(via option bits configuration) for both the microcontrolelrs(via usart1). The G030 works perfectly and already flashed and checked new firmware. But when trying on WB5, the systems goes into bootloader at powerup, but it is not responding to command(0x7F). Even though according to AN2606, 3155 and RM 0434, the bootloaders shoudl behave same on both systems.
I have setup a client and server with two STM32WB1MMCs and have the server periodically send data based on a frequency stated by the client. My payloads are 10 bytes long and are incrementing values for me to keep track of any losses. I am finding that I have a limited message per second throughput of around 200-210. I cannot achieve more than this no matter how much I optimise my code and play around with the intervals and PHY settings, as stated in the an5289 documentation. My code uses notifications to send from server to client. It also uses a timer set to trigger a flag every 10,000th a second to allow me to keep track of timings for ensuring my payloads are sent at the specified frequency by the client. I feel 200-210 10 byte payloads sent a second is very low throughput for BLE, should I expect higher and also, if so, what is the best approach to achieving this?
Hello Dear Person,We already work with STM32WB55 and sometimes Bluetooth didn't make a advertising. (same software works another STM32WB55 without problem.) CPU already run without problem and make all works to do.Which issue cause that issue? How can we solve this issue?Best Regards Melih
Hi,I am currently using stm32wb 55 and I want to achive the shutdown/standby mode with WKUP pin functionality, I tried Several ways but it seems its not working, also there is not any example for the same,Below code is for your reference .... BSP_LED_Init(LED2); BSP_LED_Init(LED3); SystemClock_Config(); WkupPin1_Config(); if (__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_SB) != RESET) { __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_SB); } HAL_Delay(5000); BSP_LED_DeInit(LED2); BSP_LED_DeInit(LED3); /* Enable WakeUp Pin PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1 connected to PA0 */ HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1_LOW); /* Clear all related wakeup flags*/ __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF1); /* Enter the Standby mode */ HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();======================================/* USER CODE BEGIN 4 */static void WkupPin1_Config(void){ /* Configure Button pin and unmask Wakeup with Interrupt request from line 0.*/ BSP_PB_Init(BUTTON_SW
Hi, I am using the STM32WB55CCU6 base custom board. In that board i am not using LSE crystal oscillator (32.768Khz). Is it possible if i can run my BLE application without the LSE?Please provide your suggestion in as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
Hi,I'm not sure if I fully understand how the low-power mode works with active BLE on the STM32WB. I have an application using FreeRTOS and the BLE stack. I have set up advertising and am able to send and receive data over BLE. This works fine. When CPU1 enters Sleep mode — since it has no tasks to handle — BLE seems to work correctly. However, if it enters STOP2 mode instead of Sleep, it stops working properly. Questions:1) If I have BLE advertising set with a period of around 100 ms, can I put CPU1 into STOP(2) mode? Will CPU2 and the radio handle the operations on their own while CPU1 is in STOP mode? If so, will they wake up CPU1 as well? 2) If someone has already connected to my device via BLE, can I also put CPU1 into STOP mode?3) To entering STOP mode I use funcion from example - hope it is correct? Some of my research:In RM0434, it is stated that the system will enter low-power mode only when all three subsystems allow it (CPU1, CPU2, Radio Subsystem). A few
Hello @STTwo-32 , @Remi QUINTIN A quick question regarding the development for our Bluetooth product, we have gone through your product portfolio of the STM32WB series which has several options to choose. We have the analyzed the following scenario The First one we choose is STM32WB55 MCU, which is a dual core with M4 and MO cores for application development of the BLE. The Second option, we have is STM32WB0 MCU, which contains only MO core, which needs to be controlled via an external MCU such as STM32H series with some common communication interfaces such as SPI or UART. Can you suggest us, which one to choose in order to be more flexible in Hardware design, programming and certification for the Bluetooth product?
Hey everyone, I am using STM32WB55RGV7 processor. At the beginning of my bootloader program, I use this function then jumps to address 0x8050000. When I jump to the user application, my ble feature in the user application is not working but all the rest of my features are working. I am experiencing the same problems as in the previous post, but I continue to have problems when I do the things suggested.https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/issue-in-ble-stack-advertisement-after-jumping-with-bootloader/m-p/63168#M618AN5289 Application notes also mention the solution to my problem. Where could I be making a mistake?I have an LED light that lights up when my BLE feature is working. I know when it starts scanning for nearby bluetooth devices. As soon as my bootloader app starts scanning for sensors, I jump to my user app.
What is the proper way of keeping connection from Client to Server alive?I'm working with smart glasses and after connection STM32 client sends the data, however, after some 10-20 seconds or so glasses show "Client disconnected" message. What puzzles me is that I constantly send new messages every 2 seconds, so connection should be alive, but it's not.The other strange thing is when I connect to laptop's Bluetooth, inside LightBlue logs I constantly see fresh messages every 2 seconds continuously as expected, for as long as client device is powered on.Is there any check to periodically refresh connection state, or what's the right way? Update: do I need to handle Server's notification in any way to keep connection alive?
Hello, I followed the indtructions from here, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuc6914B0KM and I setup the NUCLEO-WL55JC STM32WL Nucleo-64 board and sensor board X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 with LoRaWAN Gateway P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2 through The Things Network (TTN). In this moment I am able to see the raw data in TTN Live data watch. In the youtube 5 video example, the autor use the Cayenne app to create dashboard in order to decode and siaplay the sensor data. Now, the issue is this: Cayenne is no more available, could you provide a Decoder code in JSON format for uplink and downlink, for application example LoRaWAN_End_Node? Thank you, Mihai
I have two stm32wb5mmdk which I tried to create a custom BLE MESH but failed miserably . I am trying to use zig-bee to send data from one to other , and then transfer the same data to a mobile phone using BLE.Is there an example or MOOC available for the same. I am aware about the example given for wb55 NUCLEO board but due to lack of IOC file I don't know how to configure it for stm325mm dk
