Dear ST/forum members,I am trying to configure the BLE slave side. Using latest CubeMx (BLE_Custom.ioc ) and BLE_DataThroughput configuration as reference. My questions:1. CFG_BLE_MAX_ATT_MTU is restricted to 300 in CubeMx? Why is that? Can I make it 512 or more in code?2."Value Length" of the characteristic is restricted to max of 247 in CubeMx, while in Data_Throughput example it is 255? Which one is it than? Can I make it 512? In AN5289 7.6.5 says something about getting data fragmentation? Will that cause through put loss?3.Anything I can set in the advertisement data to, in order to improve connection speed? was wondering if increasing usSlave_Conn_Interval_Min, usSlave_Conn_Interval_Max will allow faster connection? or something else that will it improve the Min_CE_Length and Max_CE_Length the master chooses.4.How can I read (as the slave) the final value of connection CE_Length ? Min_CE_Length < ??? < Max_CE_Length. Thanks!
As per the UM2435 NUCLEO-WB55RG board has only one I2C- I2C1 and SPI-SPI1But in STM32CubeMX configuration for the same board it has two I2C: I2C1 and I2C32 SPI: SPI1 and SPI2.Can you please provide more information on this? Thanks!
Hello to everyone. I am trying to develop an application on Lora on the NUCLEO WL5 series development board. But I could not debug the board via CubeMx. I am trying to use external debugger but I still have mcu not found problem. Can anyone tell me how to make ST_LINK debugger connections with WL5?
Hi,As I said in the question I need antenna reference or any data about it to know about its specifications. Thanks for all!
Hi everyone,I have a pnucleo lrwan3 kit and I'm trying to setup the end node using the LRWAN NS1 AT Master example from I-NUCLEO-LRWAN package.Everything is working fine until the program gets to the AT+DR command. There a Hard Fault occurs and it gets stuck in a forever loop (default handler). I tried to isolate the problem using the debugger. When the program reaches the switch(DEVICE_STATE) statement, the hard fault occurs. The problem is that I can't get the debugger to enter this switch statement, but it does enter, as various AT commands are being printed after the switch, and before the hard fault. I tried to get infos on this hard fault, but the analyzer does not provide me any clue. I can only get the SP register value and I have not enough knowledge to get any useful info out of it. I suspect a problem with the AT+DR command. In fact, the program load and works like a charm using Keil uVision. The hard fault only occurs with STM32CubeIDE. You may think that I playe
The question is how do I connect the output of the pdm and how do I connect the input of the clock to the sensorThis is the sensorsThis is the mcu chip (stm32wb55cgu) Thank you for your supportefiehrman@gmail.com
Hello,I am working with a custom board with the STM32WB5MMG SoC and I am receiving a hardware error timer overrun 0x02 after some time. After that the BLE interface stops working. There is any way to prevent this error? Is related to the hardware design?I would also know if it is possible to restart the ble stack after receiving the error to make ble work again.Thank you in advance!Ferran
Hi,I am working with the STM32WB55 Nucleo board to create a Zigbee device being able to connect to a Philips Hue Bridge v2.1. Using a 2.4GHz sniffer with wireshark I am able to follow the communication which goes through the following steps with no problems:BeaconAssociation request + responseTransport key exchange Node descriptor request + responseEndpoint descriptor request + responseSimple descriptor + responseWhere it fails is the coordinator (hue bridge) sends a Read attributes on the Basic cluster (0x0000) to the STM32. It responds with a ZCL Default response where status says "unsupported cluster (0xc3)".And the trace output from the STM32WB55 reports that it sends this default response, but I would expect it to be responding with the Basic attributes configured. The code is based on the Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Router example modified to be a ZCL_DEVICE_COLOR_DIMMABLE_LIGHT server.static void APP_ZIGBEE_StackLayersInit(void) { APP_DBG("APP_ZIGBEE_StackLayersInit"); zigbee_ap
Hello,I'm working on a project using Zigbee as main communication network. In this project we develop two devices :One as server and coordinatorOne as client and routerWe based our hardware on STM32WB5MMG.I used the examples of Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Router and Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Coord to understand how to develop our application.I'm actually stuck at a point where mu client router cannot connect to the coordinator and the join status is ZB_APS_STATUS_SECURITY_FAIL.I don't know how to solve this error, the preconfiguredLinkKey are the same, exactly as in the examples.I think the problem come from the coordinator because if I use the coord example in a nucleo board, my router device is able to connect to it... but I haven't been able to find th differences between my coord and the example and I can't find a lot of documentation on how to debug this kind off errors. Can anybody help me ?Thanks in advance and have a nice day.
I have P-NUCLEO-WB55 it worked initially well with BLE stack. Later I have ported Zigbee Stack but things were not working out. I went back and loaded the BLE stack now, but it is not even advertising with p2p sever application. I have tested the GPIO and UART functions works well. But only the RF is not seems getting activated. I have tried erasing chip and loading the stack and app freshly from pre-built images (not working)I have reinstalled the FUS through cubemx programmer but did not helped.I tried loading transparent mode application, but it is not connecting to virtual COM port detected in STMCube RF monitor tool as well ?The USB dongle came with kit works fine but the Nucleo board is not working. Is there any way to restore the board to factory default ?If RF is not working means, some thing wrong with Hardware ?
Hi All, I'm currently using an STM32WB5MMG module on two devices to establish a Zigbee connection between them.My project is based on the example called "BLE_Zigbee_Dyn"(one device should also be able t communicate using BLE ) implementing everything over an RTOS environment. On Zigbee network One works as a Coordinator and the other is the end device; Both are configured to have two endpoint : one Switch endpoint (to manage a toogle and a polling system ) and one Level Endpoint (to Manage the behaviour of the coordinator device)Below the code for the configuration of the two endpointsstatic void APP_ZIGBEE_ConfigEndpoints(void) { struct ZbApsmeAddEndpointReqT req; struct ZbApsmeAddEndpointConfT conf; memset(&req, 0, sizeof(req)); req.profileId = ZCL_PROFILE_HOME_AUTOMATION; req.deviceId = ZCL_DEVICE_ONOFF_SWITCH; /* Endpoint: SW1_ENDPOINT */ req.endpoint = SW1_ENDPOINT; ZbZclAddEndpoint(zigbee_app_info.zb, &req, &conf); //assert(conf.status == ZB_STAT
Hi all,I'm trying to develop on the Nucleo USB dongle. I'm creating an empty Zigbee project with the FW 1.12.1 I configure the minimum in cubeMX the project crash in startup_stm32wb55cgux.s I'm running FUS V1.2.0.0I'm using the wireless copro : stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw.bin from the version 1.12is anyone able to use zigbee on the STM32WB55CG ?Thank youRegards

I'm trying to get a handle on using the Sub Ghz middleware along with the processor's low power modes. I've configured an X-NUCLEO-LPM01A to power the NUCLEO-WL55JC, following the instructions from the STM32WL webinar, so I can take some measurements. I'm using LPTIM1 to generate an interrupt every 4 s where I then transmit a short packet with the radio configured for FSK modulation. The radio is set to sleepmode in the TX complete callback. and the processor set to enter stop 2 mode again. For the first time the board is powered down in STOP 2, I measure the expected 2.5 uA, but as soon as the first radio packet is sent, the current doesn't go below 650 uA. (See the attached screenshot)Does anyone have any insight as to what it could be? It seems to me that something is preventing the processor from entering the STOP 2 mode again. Could it be an unhandled interrupt? I also can't tell if the radio is set to sleep successfully after that first transmit. Any assistance would be greatly a
I'm trying to use Pa7 for an external falling edge irq without success. I have pb1 and pb4 working as expected, but not Pa7. Is there anything special about using EXTI9_5_IRQn vector?
The content of the function is simply putting data in the buffer and sending it.Even if the function is called once, it sends data 2 to 4 times. However, looking at the logs from the LORA gateway, they are sending data continuously.I'm not sure why these issues arise. The connection type is ABP mode.It is transmitted once in OTAA mode, but this problem occurs only in APB mode.P.S gateway, network, and application server are using CHIRPSTACK.
Hi I am testing with STM32WL55I programed that MCU transmitted LoRa signal periodically and transmitted data via uart1 periodically. At first, MCU can recieve data via uart1.After a certain amount of time, MCU can't transmitted some bytes via uart1 once or twiceand then MCU can't receive data via uart1 continuously.I don't know how to fix the problem.1. init /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init();// MX_I2C2_Init(); MX_SUBGHZ_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); MX_I2C3_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_TIM16_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ MX_SubGHz_Phy_Init(); MX_I2C2_Init(); HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim16); init();2. I used timer_if.c : see added files3. transmitted data via uart1The red line indicates the part where the data is not completely transmitted.4. I add the project. please check where the problems are and let me know how to fix them.thank you
I have some questions on the response here:https://community.st.com/s/global-search/MLPF-WB55-02E3?t=1636577804470The response references MLPF-WB55-01E3 but I think it should be MLPF-WB55-02E3 for the WLCSP_100 package. Can you confirm the 65 ohm impedance is correct for the MLPF-WB55-02E3 filter?I am using a different stack-up than the one in the MLPF-WB55-02E3 datasheet. I will implement a 65 ohm CPW for our stack-up. Once that is done is there still a requirement to maintain a trace length of 1.5 mm? Thanks.
Hello ST,I am using STM32WB55 board to establish mesh network between four node. Duration of provisioning from provision node taking long time (>25 sec ) and some time my command was correct " atep prvn0 2".. even UART is showing process is complete but LPN node led is not responding. Out of 10, only 6 times process working correctly & blue led is responding. Provisioning process is very long for any multiple node application if node did not configured properly it goes for long time processes to ensure that all node in network is working or not. I have put lots of effort to reduce the provisioning time period for one node but didn't get success . Please provide me guidance for this...Best RegardsDeepak Aagri
Hi,I'm working on the two MCU's STM32WLE5C8U6 & STM32WLE4CCU6 and I need to know the UID in order to indentify each of the products. In the doc it's written that both have UID but there is no address to read them. What I'm missing ?Best regards,
Hi,I am using STM32WB55 to develop a PHY 802.15.4 application with custom MAC. I found only the Phy_802_15_4_Cli example, but there are ASCII like commands. Can you provide byte oriented commands for working with PHY?
I am attempting to send a file via BLE (Windows app -> STM32WB55), I've found that the ACI_GATT_ATTRIBUTE_MODIFIED_VSEVT_CODE event is called whenever a packet is received by the board however I am unable to find where the actual packet data is stored or understand how to output it. (I.e. send "HELLO" string via BLE, board outputs "HELLO" via uart).I am trying to output this data serially via the UART connection. Similarly, I am trying to receive input via uart and transfer the payload from the board to the windows app via BLE. I have looked at attribute_modified->Attr_Data and similar variables within the event, however I don't believe these are what I'm after. Thank you for any help,Oliver.
I have a simple example where I take an A/D sample from a pot every 15ms. I then modify CCR1-4 on both TIM2 and TIM1 AS WELL AS ARR registers on TIM2 and TIM1. ARR is updated with a value and ALL CCRx are updated with that value - #define. I notice that TIM1 works just fine but TIM2 CNT seems to go "out of bounds" past ARR value. The HW is an STM32WB55 that is on a dev board by Midatronics (Sharky Mkr). Both timers are set up identical except for Tim2 missing registers(see below). Can someone tell me what I might be missing here?Configuration looks like (most of this comes from CubeMx:static void MX_TIM1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM1_Init 0 */ TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0}; TIM_BreakDeadTimeConfigTypeDef sBreakDeadTimeConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM1_Init 1 */ htim1.Instance = TIM1; htim1.Init.Prescaler = 1600 - 1; ht
For the new STM32WB10CC chip, there is no specification on default state of the RF pin, however, it should not be shorted to GND. Hardware has been verified with high confidence that short is not due to physical issues, is software short to GND on RF1 possible and how would one verify?
Hi, I recently read the AN5165——Development of RF hardware using STM32WB microcontrollers, and the page25~page27 show the STM32WB55's reference design. But I didn't find the file on the offical website.Could you please share the files named:MB1427A---UFQFPN48MB1422A---VFQFPN68MB1547B---UFBGA129MB1425A---WLCSP100Thank you very much.
