Recently i experimented with the RTC modules and came accross an issue where HAL_RTC_Init() fails because RTC_EnterInitMode() fail with HAL_TIMEOUTAfter debugging, it seems that HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess() need to be called before HAL_RTC_Init()It appear that HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess() is called if the LSE is used, but not if LSI is used. See line 775 of stm32wbxx_hal_rcc_ex.c.Question: when is HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess() supposed to be called ?
Hi i am developing a BLE-UART bridge with an STM32WB5M.I am guetting around 1,85 KB/s data troughput, is this normal?Did anyone pull this off with greater data troughput? (same uart thing or any streaming application)
I am using STEVAL-STRKT01 with FP-ATR-LORA1. I have successfully joined the LoRa network (US915), but whenever the device tries to send data on the network it returns "Send Error" over the serial. By debugging the code, I have tracked the cause to be that it seems to be unable to find a valid channel to use. I have tried a couple different data rates (4 and 5) but it has not resolved the issue. What would cause this?
The program size of my project is as follows "Program Size: Code=30996 RO-data=1548 RW-data=36 ZI-data=34980". The board i am using is a STM32WLJ1 board "256-Kbyte Flash memory and 64-Kbyte SRAM". I believe flash memory is causing me issues in my project. I am left to conclude that the CubeMx software is somehow taking up alot of data memory and i was wondering if there was any way to reduce this requirement. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
I just got my STM32WB55 Nucleo boards with FUS v.0.5.3 and trying to upgrade firmware but neither of the provided .bin files in "repository" ("stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin" or "stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin") work. I get the same message for both when trying to program the files using STM32CubeProgrammer tool. (Note: message "Firmware Delete Successful" was present). Attaching a picture of the error message I get.Note: I tried to accomplish the same thing using both user USB DFU and ST-LINK interfaces. Hi All,I am getting the error FUS_STATE_IMG_NOT_AUTHENTIC while updating FUS. I am using the provided image in:STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.12.1/Projects/STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries/STM32WB5x/stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.binAs stated in the release notes.I am using STM32CubeProgrammer: Any hints are welcome! Thanks, NS
Hi everyone,I successfully setup a lora communication using the pnucleo lrwan3 kit : https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/p-nucleo-lrwan3.htmlThe only thing I'm missing is the way to activate the sensor reading on the lrwan-ns1 shield. I am using the I-cube-lrwan package.I found a "#define SENSOR_ENABLED x" in sys_conf.h but when I set it to 1, I get an error telling me that the iks01a2_conf.h header file is missing... The problem is that my shield is NS1 and not iks01a2 so I'm more than confused. I also found c files with functions designed for the lrwan-ns1 sensors, but they are not used anywhere in the default code.Has anyone faced the same issue ?Thanks !
When I configure (with cubeMX) my BLE peripheral project to use Static Random Address or Public Address, the device is able to successfully connect and pair with a mobile device. When I change the configuration to use Resolvable Private Address, device is able to connect with a mobile device, but pairing fails. I receive an ACI_GAP_PAIRING_COMPLETE_VSEVT_CODE with pairing_complete->Status = 2. Thank you in advanced.
Hello,I'm working with the Nucleo board the STM32WB55 and i'm trying to send temperture data as in the eddysone tlm frame. But even I've configured the code as EddystoneTLM in the app_conf.h it is always showing up as URL beacon insteade of TLM.Can anyone please give me a sollution. Thank you.
I have a custom board with a quadSPI chip installed. I can program a 256-byte page just fine using HAL_QSPI_Transmit(), which I'm monitoring with a logic analyzer. But when I try to do this with HAL_QSPI_Transmit_DMA(), nothing happens on the lines when I run that command, even though I have enabled and configured DMA for QSPI in the CubeMX, every QSPI and DMA register seems right to me, and when I step through the HAL_QSPI_Transmit_DMA() code, there are no errors. It just gets to the end of the function with no activity on the SPI lines. I'm using STM32CubeIDE v 1.90, and all my firmware packages say they're up to date.I would appreciate any ideas to check.By the way, I was able to speed up the HAL_QSPI_Transmit() function by a factor of two for my 256 byte page program by having it send words to the qspi rather than bytes, but in my application I have a lot of data processing to do in addition to fairly high-speed data logging, so I'd really rather not tie up the core for 160 usec (3
Hello, I am building an application using STM32WB55 ( 1 MB Flash) series microcontroller and planning to use BLE 5.0 to make secure connection with a device. In our use case, I am trying to compute how many keys/Bonding Info can be stored to speed up pairing.I was wondering if you someone can confirm my calculations below as something doesn't feel right. From what I read in AN5289 Rev 6, on Page 97, there is a formula to compute maximum bonded device info, which is N = (total_size_of_nvm – 1) / [(size_of_sec_record + 1) + (size_of_gatt_record + 1)]In my case, after plugging in the values for total_size_of_nvm : 253 Bytes ( 507 words of 4 Byte each)size_of_sec_record : 80 Bytessize_of_gatt_record : 12 BytesN comes to be : 252/94 ~= 2.Is this correct? that we can only store maximum of 2 bonded devices?Help!!!Thanks
In STOP2 mode, the current of STM32WB5MMG is around 170uA at 3V.Using the same FW (based on the HeartRate example), the P-NUCLEO-WB55 can achieve a low current (approximately 3 uA).Is there any additional settings for STM32WB5MMG?
Hello,I plan to use a STM32WB55VGQ6 for a project without RF because of components shortage. I read the datasheet and I couldn't find any information about the MCU wiring when there is no antenna connected to it. Do you know if I have to let the RF1 pin floating or if I have to pull it down with a resistor or something like this when I don't use the RF please ?Thanks.
I am using an LPTIM1 with a 64 Prescaler and a count of 15360 which, with an external 32.768kHz watch crystal, gives a 30 second period. With an IWDG with a Prescaler of 256 and a 32kHz gives 32 seconds. The device should go into STOP2, wake up from the LPTIM1 and reset the watchdog. But for some reason, the watchdog gets tripped repeatedly. I can give more details if required, but I am a bit stumped on how to proceed. Thanks.
Is there a way to use 1.8V NAND Memory Chip using Quad SPI GPIOs in STM32WB55 Nucleo Pack? I already wired-up the 1.8V NAND chip and connected to Quad SPI pins of the Nucleo Pack, but I haven't powered this board up yet.
Hello. I know this is a stupid question, but I am not able to find the way to download the ble mesh library for stm32wb55 and inlcuded in a project.Thank you
Hi!. I am trying to flash the ble mesh example project from Github in order to modify it and create my own application, but when I have built the project 79 errors where found. I have seen that these errors come from a lot of libraries that are missing. These libraries are in the project, but they are not .c files and they are inside a folder called "Exe" as .d files. Do you Know how can I include this files as .c files in the project?. Thanks for your time.
We are basing an BLE Mesh application on the example project BLE_MeshLightingLPN for STM32WB55 and would like to add OTA update support to the application.
Hi!Thats my first time working with STM32_WPAN.How to simply add battery state service to P2P_Server example?I dont know how to add ANY service to any example. Code has many layers, and a lot of files. Too complicated for first attempt...I just want simple tutorial step-by-step how to add services and characteristics.
Hello,I am gonna use the STM32WB35.After a while, I have configured it by the pintool SW, added the SW32WPAN, chosen custom service and filled the details for GAP and GATT ....Then, due I'm not familiar with the Sequencer, I added the FreeRTOS-CMSIS v2 and with my big surprise all the GAP /GATT settings have disappeared; only the heartbeat service is allowed! What the hell, I was wondering, how can anyone in ST developer group to limit the BT stack mode to server and heartbeat only? Then, I repeated everything since the beginning of a new project but the result not changed: you cannot use the FreeRTOS for any service or custom service different from heartbeat!Still incredulous, I have tried to find something about in the literature but it appears there is nothing useful or I was not able to find anything. So, I am now asking the team how the hell I can use the FreeRTOS-CMSIS to build and manage my own custom service.... or do I have to deal with the use of that Sequencer which is neither
