I programmed a microcontroller to return received text data from BLE using UART.However, I can get only 4 alphabet clearly and the next alphabet becomes broken. For example, If I send the text "aaaaaa", then the microcontroller return "aaaa0(9)??" or "aaaa,(<)??"The broken text is quite random.I'm sending a text using my custom program after transforming it to UTF8.I programmed the microcontroller below to return text in the event handler code in custom_stm.c.====================================================char* text = (char*)(attribute_modified->Attr_Data); char output_text[strlen(text) + sizeof("received data: ") + 1]; sprintf(output_text, "received data: %s", text); APP_DBG_MSG(output_text);APP_DBG_MSG("\n"); =====================================================I think it may be problem of number of packet. Is there any suggestions?
Hello everyone,I encountered an issue while trying to record sensor data to an SD card using the sensorTile box. The sampling frequency is set to 50 Hz. However, upon checking the CSV file, I noticed that it only displays one decimal place after the milliseconds, leaving out the last two digits. This has caused some time overlaps.
Hi everyone.I have a problem when I try to load BLE Stack on STM32WB15. I can connected the MCU to STM32Programmer and there can recognize the cortex. At the moment to load the Stack, STM32Programmer send me the configuration about FUS and I cand read it.But, when I push Firmware Upgrade, STM32Programmer send me the next answer:11:54:35 : STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.9.012:02:36 : Time elapsed during download operation: 00:00:00.49812:02:36 : Application is running, Please Hold on...12:02:36 : Reconnecting...12:02:36 : Reconnected !12:02:40 : Reconnecting...12:02:40 : Reconnected !12:02:41 : StartFus activated successfully12:02:41 : FUS_STATE_IDLE12:02:41 : Start FUS execution finished12:02:43 : Warning: Option Byte: nSWboot0, value: 0x0, was not modified.12:02:43 : Warning: Option Byte: nboot0, value: 0x1, was not modified.12:02:43 : Warning: Option Byte: nboot1, value: 0x1, was not modified.12:02:43 : Warning: Option Bytes are unchanged, Data won't be downloaded12:02:43 : Succeeded to
Hi,We use STM32WB15CC for our projects and some MCU's FUS version are 0.0.0.So we want to try re-program FUS file to MCU.While we checked STM32CubeWB, there are FUS files for STM32WB3x and STM32WB5x in "STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries" folder, but not for STM32WB1x.How can we get this .bin file? Thanks for help.
"Using SPIRIT1 to transmit packets. I need an empty command (like NOP). Will it be generated automatically, or do I need to add it manually? I didn't find any relevant explanation in Datasheet. Also, can FEC be manually disabled?"
I am trying to upgrade my Nucleo board to Wireless firmware stack v1.17.0 from GitHub (Address: 0x08021000), but I always get the Warning:FUS_STATE_ERR_UNKNOWN after upgrading. And when I try to start FUS, I get:Error: FUS_STATE_ERR_UNKNOWN: Unknown error I am pretty sure I flashed the Wireless stack before on this board. I am using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.14.0
Hi.I am working on a ZigBee project for the STM32WB55. I use Zigbee wireless binary of STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.16.0 as below.stm32wb5x_Mac_802_15_4_fw.bin, stm32wb5x_Phy_802_15_4_fw.bin, stm32wb5x_Zigbee_FFD_fw.bin. It works well for now with using zigbee_app_info.zb = ZbInit(0U, NULL, NULL);Now I need larger nwkNeighborTblSz to have more nodes, I tried following code.static void APP_ZIGBEE_StackLayersInit(void){struct ZbInitTblSizesT tblSizes; tblSizes.nwkNeighborTblSz = 64;tblSizes.nwkRouteTblSz = 32;tblSizes.nwkAddrMapTblSz = 32;tblSizes.nwkBttSz = 32;tblSizes.nwkRReqSz = 16;tblSizes.apsPeerLinkKeyTblSz = 32;tblSizes.heapSz = 32*1024;tblSizes.heapPtr = malloc(tblSizes.heapSz);zigbee_app_info.zb = ZbInit(0U, &tblSizes, NULL);}My board does not come alive..So I tried below codes but the board does not come alive.. tblSizes.nwkNeighborTblSz = 64;tblSizes.nwkRouteTblSz = 32;tblSizes.nwkAddrMapTblSz = 32;tblSizes.nwkBttSz = 32;tblSi
Hello, who can tell me if I did something wrong?really confused why it´s not working at all after I built and flashed the application on astra1b board.Wireless stack: stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.binselect the example customUCchange settings to generate bin and hex filecompiled successfully without any error or warningflash the hex file successfullybut on the board seems nothing is running, no LED blink, no UART connection in device manager.
Is the WLCSP49 functionality same as that of UFQFPN48 package? Due to size reduction and I assume fewer contact pads in the former, I'd like to know if there are any functionality differences between the two. We are currently validating the possibility of usage of the WLCSP49 package for a project that requires a compact wireless MCU. Is it possible to get detailed information on it, in the form of a datasheet perhaps, if available?
Hi, I was working as usual with my NUCLEO WL55JC1 board, powered from external 3.3V. Everything was working correctly and I turned the power suplly off, after turning it on again (next day), the board didn't work. I know the program is not runnin because I had a blinking LED that remains off. If I try to load the program to the board again I get teh following errors:Error in final launch sequence:Error message from debugger back end:Error finishing flash operationFailed to execute MI command:When I connect the board to the computer, the biclor LED flashes and then remains red, indicating initialization between the PC and STLINK-V3E is complete, after fail uploading the program the led remains green indicating communication finished and successful but no debug session was even started.I´d like to know if my board is dead or if there is something I can try to make it workRegards
Hello,Thank you for your detailed answers. I have resolved the design concerns related to this.I need your input for another issue. I am working on upgrading the wireless stack & FUS programmatically. I am NOT doing the OTA firmware upgrade but storing my new stack & FUS images in internal flash memory. The MCU that I am using is STM32WB5xxG(1M). Following are the steps I am following based on the instructions in AN5185 Rev 6.The pre-condition is that the WS is running (which I think means FUS is running too), BLE is initialized, my custom application is running:Install the new wireless stack at 0x08078000 (additional encryption added)Decrypt the new wireless stack from additional encryptionInitiate the upgrade by using FUS commands :Call SHCI_C2_FUS_GetState(0); - Should I still call this if I know that my stack is running?Call SHCI_C2_FUS_FwDelete();Call SHCI_C2_FUS_FwUpgrade(0x08078000, 0x080C7000);With this, I am not able to flash the new image and the error code
Hello,Is it possible to increase the size of UUID in iBeacon_data from 16Byte to 64Byte?Thanks
I'm trying to use Range 2 mode in my custom STM32WB55 board to reduce power consumption in my board.I found the protocol that switchs Range 1 to Range 2 mode in RM0434 document. The basic protocol is like below and I found that three register should be changed to use Range 2 mode, which is RCC clock control, Flash ACR, and PWR control register (+PWR status register). So, my question is how to change these registers and is there any example for change these or CubeMX to help change these value? In addtion, I tried to change RCC clock using CubeMX but HCLK2 cannot be 16 MHz. Why?
I am currently working on a project where we want to use bluetooth. In doing so, I am first trying to turn on a Carrier Wave using STM32CubeMonitor-RF on a Dev.kit, to do this later on a PCB. Now this previously worked with the following parameters:-BLE_TransparentMode on the M4 processor-stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin on the M0 processor-RF TEST -> Start toneHowever, I try to emulate the above situation, but it no longer works. Anyone have an idea what this could be due to? I suspect it has to do with the attached image. Also, I would like to run the above directly in my own code, am curious if anyone else has already done this. Thanks in advance!
I have a dev board NucleWB55 and I'm trying to replicate the application BLE Cable Replacement using code generator of STMe2CubeIde 1.11.0. I configured 1 service with 2 charateristic, read and write no response for tx and read notify for rx.From an external app android 2 firmware are identical.I checked many times init code are identical. In my code generated when I try to send data to ble device with the app serial bluetooth terminal, no event is generated, but with the same app and firmware Cable Replacement I receive the event of data received. Is it an issue? I'd like keep the code generator in my test project, so I can easly add code in the future, but it's very hard.Thank you for suggestions.
I'm trying to use aci_gatt_update_char_ext but it requires connection handle. But in Custom_STM.c file only have service handle and characteristics handle.Where can I find connection handle and what is typical variable for it?
Hi everyone! I'm working with STM32WLE5CC chips and developing the firmware using STM32Cube FW_WL V1.2.0.In general the motes are working fine in Lorawan Class C mode. The issue I'm observing is that in a random way (once or twice in a day) the motes receive a downlink frame which is not sent by the high level application behind NS (ChirpStack). As you can see in the mote's logs the mote detects it with a FCnt=0 (it should be much higher) and FPort=0. Based on the FPort=0 it should be a MAC command so it shouldn't be passed to the mote application layer handled by the OnRxData callback in the firmware. 2023-07-26 00:32:17,236 - usb1 - INFO - 136193s478:MAC rxDone 2023-07-26 00:32:17,244 - usb1 - INFO - ###### D/L FRAME:0000 | PORT:0 | DR:8 | SLOT:C | RSSI:-105 | SNR:-24 2023-07-26 00:32:17,248 - usb1 - INFO - 136193s484:RX_C on freq 923300000 Hz at DR 8 2023-07-26 00:32:17,255 - usb1 - INFO - 136193s485: >>>>>> DOWNLINK received: 51
Struggling with an issue with the WB55. I'm attempting to see BLE stack debugging through the UART. I've tested the redirect without WPAN being enabled and found the hardware is functional. When I enable WPAN debugging, redirect function is never called.main.cint __io_putchar(int ch); int __io_putchar(int ch) { /* e.g. write a character to the USART1 and Loop until the end of transmission */ HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1, 0xFFFF); return ch; } Setting up the debugging for WPAN has been done to setup guide:MX_USART1_UART_Init() isn't called in the main() function but called in the DbgOutputInit() function:/* USER CODE BEGIN APPE_Init_1 */ #ifdef DEBUG DbgOutputInit(); #endif /* USER CODE END APPE_Init_1 */I've verified the initialization code is being called:void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END USART1_Init 1 */ huart1.Instance
Hi,I have a working sigfox prototype based around a STM32WLE5. The generation of the Sigfox ID and PAC has so far been done by uploading the chip certificate (236 bytes at 0x1FFF3F04) to https://my.st.com/sfxp to get the credentials back. This process looks hard to automate. Is this for development only? For production - what is the recommended solution? Are we supposed to procure credentials ourselves via Sigfox CRA? https://support.sigfox.com/docs/sigfox-credential-cra.Thanks,
I'm trying to develop an STM32WB55-based BLE wireless circuit.I designed a custom STM32WB55 circuit and I found that the circuit consumes ~ 7 mA when 32 MHz clock and BLE fast advertising mode.Unfortunately, my circuit should allow 7 days of continuous operation with a ~100 mAh battery. So, I wonder how to reduce power consumption. So, could you guys suggest anything possible on both the hardware side and the setting and programming side to reduce power consumption?Currently, SMPS is not in use but I'm planning to use it.
Hi Support, we want to be able to generate a 2.4GHz Bluetooth carrier wave to test our hardware. Is there a sample project or a sample .hex file I could use to do this. Also pointing me to the correct documentation to achieve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi.I'am new in develop with STM32WB. I am programming the STM32WB5MM-DK Discovery kitWe whatch all the videos STM32WB Getting Started Series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnMKNibPkDnG9JRe2fbOOpVpWY7E4WbJ-I am trying to make a BLE aplicacion with costom template I follow all the steps how describes in video Part 12b of the "STM32WB Getting Started Serie". The problem is when I dowload the program the module, it will need to start advertising inmediatly like to the Heart Rate or P2P Server examples but I need to disconect an conect the module of the power several times to getting start to advertising. What do I need to do for my module to start advertising inmediatly like to the Heart Rate or P2P Server examples?
Dear Community,We do an update on a old product and the goal is to replace the nRF52840 by the STM32WB55.The STM32WB datasheet is clear about BLE capacity but i would to know if we can use it without the Bluetotth stack, with my own protocol as we do with nRF52840.In few words, is the STM32WB have the GFSK module open for do another things than bluetooth ?
STM32WB55 UpdateCharacteristic size.Hello, I'm using the STM32WB55 on the NUCLEO Board.I need to change the Char_Value_Length in the same connection. For example, the first UpdateCharacteristic size = 50Byte and after change to 55 Byte.It is possible to change in the same connection ?Thanks ,Pascal
