Hello everyone, I am using 3 STM32WL55JC1. One for base station and the other two's for sensor node. Everything was fine but then I started UART communication between base station and ESP32. I started coding ESP32 so I unplug the usb cables of stm32wl55jc1 (base station) but GND-GND, RX-TX , TX-RX is still plugged between base station and esp32. After a while, I realize my STM32WL55JC1's lora is not working. I can't send anything and I can't receive anything but microcontroller still working. I don't know why it is happening. Any idea ?
Hi,I have been using STM32WB5MMGH for transmitting PCM Data. I used BLE data throughput method from the example code for transmitting data. Audio sample rate is 8000 Hz, that 8000 data is transmitted in a buffer size of 244. The sample is of 16-bit in 244 size buffer we have only 122 data. When I started transmitting and converted the PCM data to .wav in the computer there are some clipping noise means some portions of audio is not there. Then I started transmitting none values from 1 to 100. Now I confirmed data is not properly transmitted there is some kind of data loss. Then I found that BLE status is BLE_STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES. Because of these that data loss is happened. How can I able to correct this.
I just got my P-NUCLEO-LRWAN2. I'm able to get the gateway running, but I'm facing troubles with the sensor board. The NUCLEO-L073RZ should already be flashed with firmware that reads EUI parameters from the I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1, and I was able to read the correct DevEUI key from memory 0x08080000. However, the AppEUI key at memory 0x08080008 shows zeros only.I tried flashing the NUCLEO-board, with the AT_Master project including code-snippet: /* Set AppEUI */uint8_t AppID[8] = {n7, n6, n5, n4, n3, n2, n1, n0}; // nx=bytexuint8_t *PtrAppID = &AppID;LoRa_SetAppID(PtrAppID);but still no luck. Also, I've tried enrolling a device with all-zeros JoinEUI in the Loriot sample application but that did not work either. Am I required to use the AppEUI from the sticker of the package ? Should the LoRa_SetAppID() function call be sufficient to update the AppEUI at memory 0x08080008 ?
I just bought a LRWAN2 pack, I was able to connect the gateway to the TTN network and application server. But the APPEUI i the join request was wrong (only zeroes). So I plugged an oscilloscope on the RX and TX pins an it shows that:Does this mean the LRWAN1 board is dead?
Hello all,We are using BLE to send packet of 23 bytes every 5 ms. Since we have noticed that some packets are lost, we are trying to investigate to understand what's happened. In addition to lost packets, for almost every packet, we get the error BLE_STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES from function aci_gatt_update_char_value. Some packet retry several times before being received. We have this issue when BLE is connected to a computer or a smartphone, same behavior. What are we doing wrong ? Is the time of 5 ms too short between sent packet ? In the documentation it is written that we could go up to 2 Mbit/s and currently we are only around 36 kbit/s.Should we send more data in one packet but using a longer time between sent packets ?Best regards,Audrey
I have been trying to implement a HCI only interface (LL only set) and pass commands to my board (STM32WB55 Nucleo board - BTStack is the bluetooth stack). Everything works except for the following sequence-> Connect, pair and bond with Just works (LE Secure Connections)-> Communicate->Disconnect-> Reconnect, skip pairing and use LTK from the first session-> The stack sends the LE_START_ENCRYPTION command with the LTK from the first pairing (fine) but the target immediately shuts down the connection and reports a MIC (Message Integrity Code) failure (0x3D). Ive tried different stacks and different versions, and it always ends the same way. This all works perfectly with an off-the-shelf dongle. When I use the LL only flag, do I need to store pairings somehow? Is there security information I need to manage?
When I tried to upgrade the BLE stack(v1.16.0) for the first time then am able ti upgrade it properly. Then I tried to upgrade it again it showed me the following error.
Hi all, I am using NUCLEO-64 WL55JC2 board with SubGhz_Phy and have the following queries:1. I wanted the device to go to Off mode as it consumes the lowest power. I am trying the SubGhz_Phy_PINGPONG example and want it to go to sleep periodically in Off mode and wakeup via RTC.I have gone through AN5406 that explains that, "If Stop mode is not disabled by any firmware module, Off mode is not disabled by any firmware module, and low-power is entered. Off mode is selected." Following the aforementioned, when we enter LowPower Sleep by UTIL_LPM_EnterLowPower() command, it goes to PWR_EnterOffMode(void) and exits sleep by PWR_ExitOffMode(void). Both these functions are blank in the standard examples. What all steps do i need to add in PWR_EnterOffMode(void) and PWR_ExitOffMode(void)? or Is there some sample code available for the same.2. In RTC Configuration, the Bin Mode parameter setting is set to Free Running Binary Mode. So, I wanted to know if we can set Date and Time in Fr
Hello forum;I needed help to do some SI simulation on STM32WBA52xx series MCU in MTG Hyperlynx/Altium Designer SI simulator .Hence my question is does this ibis model exist? If yes where can I download it?
Hi,I use BlueNRG-2 in my project and the archive library libbluenrg1_stack.a.I use Project for BLE always connected and other operations like saving data in Flash; I need to call BTLE_StackTick() periodically.I faced problems in the project, like Disconnection reason 0x22 and latency to raise Vtimer cb, and I think it's related to the calling of the BTLE_StackTick().Can I call BTLE_StackTick() in the ISR of a periodic timer instead of calling it from the main while loop?I need to make sure that I call it periodically without any latency. Is it a valid option to call it from ISR?I tried to use it inside ISR, but I faced many disconnections, reason 0x22, 0x8, and many system resets. How should I handle it?Regards,
Hi,I plan to use either STM32WBA52CG or STM32WB55VG. Looks like the WBA is newly released compared to the WB. Is the WBA replacing the WB, and WB will no longer be supported? Is there a plan to release a new package for STM32WBA with 68 pins?
Hello,I'm porting the code developed for the STM32WL55 development board to a STM32WLE5.Using the STM32WL55 I had no issue in putting the board into STOP2 and STANDBY, restoring the execution of the program after wakeup from RTC interrupt. However, I'm having trouble with the STM32WLE. Here, I can successfully put the microcontroller into STOP2 and wakeup it to continue the execution, but unfortunately, I'm not able to restore the execution after entering STANDBY.Where is the difference? From the reference manual, they appear to behave similarly. However, the only thing I see is that the STM32WLE reset the MCU after exiting STANDBY instead of continuing the execution as happened for the WL55.After the execution of the WFI, the WL55 continues the execution after receiving the RTC interrupt. On the contrary, the WLE restart from the main after exiting the deep sleep state.According to both reference manuals, section "Exit low-power mode" they report:From Standby and Shutdown modes, the CP
Hello members,Please let me ask about how to use external SIM on B-L462E-CELL1.I inserted the plastic SIM to external SIM slot on B-L462E-CELL1.Then, I set APN and confirmed it get ICCID from SIM.However, I dont make clear how to setup connect network operator. Also, I'm referring STmicro wiki pagehttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Cellular:Cellular_X-CUBE-CELLULAR_How_To#How_to_update_the_APN_name_tablesome command cannot available - cst modem off, connected.and configuration with these command not synchronize with config by AT command.Could you let me know appropriate way ? or document ?thx
Hello,i am designing a custom board with the stm32WL55.i saw the MB1789 schematic and design, and i need to know more about this configuration and what are the advantage and inconvenient ?in this design they don't have a switch and the same line is used for Tx and Rx ... Thank you,Sincerely.
Hi, I'm using a STM32WLE5CCU micro with FW_WL V1.3.0 library. I want to implement a feature that receives a downlink command from the Network Server and reboot the entire system like pushing a reset button will do.Once the command is received, is there any local function I can use for this purpose?Any example of implementation?Thank you!
Dear all,I would like to communicate regarding character read and write from STBLEToolBox using P-NUCLEO WB55.May I ask would you be available to communicate regarding location where would I could find variable on the IDE and make usage on a function when writing a variable from the ST BLE Toolbox? Please let me know.Thank you.Best regards,Yang Junyoung
How can I get to scenes and groups data stored in device after receiving add command?
Hello ST!GOOD day,We are looking new MCU for VOIP [voice over Internet protocol] project that can handle Internet connectivity and Communications ADC, UART] [, LAN, WAN, FXS, FXO support]. can you suggest MCU's for best and available MCU.with Wi-Fi 5 G support. Thanks,Hari.
Hi,I configured USB FS on my STM32WB55 NUCLEO Board and it works as I expected (configured as CDC). I can send and receive data to/from Host (my PC) but now I have the need to suspend temporarly Data Flow and then reprise it.My goal is to collect some data, elaborate them and then get some other data from host. To do so, I need to "suspend" USB communication end then "Resume" it. I tried to use USBD_LL_Suspend() and USBD_LL_Resume() but it seems like to get communication stuck. In particular, when I call USBD_LL_Suspend(), Host does not send data any longer and calling USBD_LL_Resume() seems like to have no effect.Any idea/suggestion?Thanks a lot in advance!Simo.
We are looking to use the STM32WB5MMG to measure a few seconds of data, then transmit that over bluetooth. We have managed to get the current consumption of the internal ADC during this measurement down to around 500 uA using low power sleep mode, however, it does not seem like this possible when the RF subsystem is enabled since its clock is required to stay at 32 MHz. Is this correct? Is there any work around possible to achieve such a current consumption during measurement when the RF subsystem is enabled?Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
!!Naive question!!I have started LoRa development recently, I am using RAK3172 module which has STM32WLE5CCU6 embedded with it. Now during the development, I am seeing that the module is transmitting and joining the server but it is not getting any join confirm status. So, after going through AN5406 I came through the MSC of Class A Tx-Rx. I am having some issues to understand the message flow of this part, which functions are responsible for communication of LoRaMac.c file with Radio.c, as there is no RadioSend function is present in the LoRaMac.c file according to the application note.Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
I tried to design a board using the STM32WLE5CCU6, so I referred to the reference designs MB1720,1842,1848, etc. However, I confirmed that the VDDRF part, which is the part specified in the data sheet, is open with the SB connector.I searched for the reason why this happened, but I couldn't figure it out, so I'm looking for help in this community. Why are VDDRF and VDD disconnected?
Hi, I am following the instructions in STM32 reference manual to configure VREFBUF to use in my ADC measures. In chapter 17, it explains that it is needed to set ENVR to enable VREFBUF, then reset HIZ and set VRS (in my case for VREFBUF = 2.5V), then it is needed to wait until voltage reference output has reached its expected value. In my case, the code is stopped checking it, returning TIMEOUT_ERROR.We tried to do it with ST functions and thru ST registers, both options failed in the same point:Option 1: VREFBUF->CSR |= VREFBUF_CSR_ENVR; VREFBUF->CSR &= ~VREFBUF_CSR_HIZ; VREFBUF->CSR |= VREFBUF_CSR_VRS; while( !( VREFBUF->CSR & VREFBUF_CSR_VRR ) );Option 2: HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_VoltageScalingConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE1);HAL_SYSCFG_EnableVREFBUF(); HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HighImpedanceConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HIGH_IMPEDANCE_DISABLE);In option 2, code is stopped inside HAL_SYSCFG_EnableVREFBUF() function, returning this TIMEOUT error: while(READ_BIT(VRE
Hello everyone,I'm using a STM32L4 in a application and the BlueNRG-LP as a BLE module in network coprocessor mode with DTM SPI. I'd like to update my main firmware through BLE OTA, a kind of Bootloader OTA. So in my main MCU, there will be this Bootloader OTA at BASE_FLASH_ADRESS and the application above and in the BlueNRG-LP, the DTM SPI.Ideally, this bootloader takes up BLE_OTA_ServiceManager principles, but ported on an external micro. Is this doable ? Or is there any other way to update the main app through BLE ?Many thanks.
I want to record the time of sensor activity in a program running in STM32WL MCU but only get the value of 0. The program is modified from the example LoRaWAN_End_Node. Below please find the RTC setting and the code to get the date and time. Can any expert help to solve the problem ?< Codes in rtc.c>/* RTC init function */void MX_RTC_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END RTC_Init 0 */RTC_AlarmTypeDef sAlarm = {0};RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime = {0}; // AddedRTC_DateTypeDef sDate = {0}; // Added/* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END RTC_Init 1 *//** Initialize RTC Only*/hrtc.Instance = RTC;hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24; // Addedhrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = RTC_PREDIV_A;hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE;hrtc.Init.OutPutRemap = RTC_OUTPUT_REMAP_NONE;hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OUTPUT_POLARITY_HIGH;hrtc.Init.OutPutType = RTC_OUTPUT_TYPE_OPENDRAIN;hrtc.Init.OutPutPullUp = RTC_OUTPUT_PULLUP_NONE;// hrtc.Init.BinMode = RTC_BINARY_ONLY;hrtc.Init.BinM
