I am programming an STM32WB5MMG module. Is it possible to limit the number of bounded devices to one?One process could be to bound to one device and when I want to bound another, delete all previously bounded devices. However, I would like to only delete the stored device once a new one has been successfully bounded. Is this possible?My idea is to make use of the whitelist to only allow connections from the bounded device. The system has a button from which to deactivate the whitelist and allow a different device to be bounded (but as I said, I would like to only delete the old device if a new one is successfully bounded).Best regards and thank you for your time.
Everywhere I look it is written to be 30 seconds.But Its too much time for me, Is there a parameters in Init or during connection I can change?
Hello, I am working with STM32WBA52 and I am using the X-Nucleo-NFC07A1 Tag to try to perform BLE OOB Pairing. From the sparse existent documentation regarding this subject, I have understood that the SecurityParams_t structure had a flag to indicate OOB Pairing support, however this flag does not exist anymore. typedef struct { /* IO capability of the device */ uint8_t ioCapability; /** * Authentication requirement of the device * Man In the Middle protection required? */ uint8_t mitm_mode; /* Bonding mode of the device */ uint8_t bonding_mode; /** * this variable indicates whether to use a fixed pin * during the pairing process or a passkey has to be * requested to the application during the pairing process * 0 implies use fixed pin and 1 implies request for passkey */ uint8_t Use_Fixed_Pin; /* Minimum encryption key size requirement */ uint8_t encryptionKeySizeMin; /* Maximum encryption key size requirement */ uint8_t encryptionKeySizeM
Hello, I used the onboard ST-Link Debugger of the STM32F401RE to flash/debug external boards. Can I do the same with the Nucleo-STM32WL55JCx Board(using the MIPI10 Connector)? I checked UM2592, and it only gives directions about using an external debugger(and turning off the on-board one). Thank youAmir
Hi,I want to know how to transmit data in ble for the interval of 10ms and How do I can change the ticks to achieve it.Thanks and Regards,LR.2
Ciao,I am trying to put my STM32wb55 in shutdown mode and wake it up using 2 external pins.Wake-up sources are on PA0 (active high) and PC12 (active low). Those should be PIN1 and PIN3 wake-up sources.This is the code I use to put the device in shutdown mode:void EnterLowPower() { __disable_irq(); __disable_fault_irq(); LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN); HAL_PWREx_DisableBLEActivityIT(); HAL_PWREx_Disable802ActivityIT(); HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer(&RTC_Handle); HAL_PWREx_EnablePullUpPullDownConfig(); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_1); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_7); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_A, GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_4); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_7); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_13); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPIO_B, GPIO_PIN_15); HAL_PWREx_EnableGPIOPullDown(PWR_GPI
When using the STM32WB5MMG, what is the recommanded way to change the AdvData (specifically complete local name) during runtime? I see that CubeMX stores the data in "a_AdvData" in app_ble.c But there is no API call to change that variable. Would it be a good approach to implement a "setter" for that value in user code section?Alternative would be to call aci_gap_update_adv_data, but that does not change the "a_AdvData". So when I call "APP_BLE_Init" after using aci_gap_update_adv_data, the AdvData is again reset to value stored in "a_AdvData". So, what is the recommanded way to do this?
I use a RAK3172 module for a 434 MHz LoRa APRS application but I don´t get a SubGHz interrupt during transmission. The output from my code is the following:APRS DemoApplication version: V1.3.0Radio version: V1.3.0Radio settingsLoRa Bandwidth: 125 kHzLoRa Spreading factor: 12LoRa Frequency: 433775000Device reset...Initialization successful!GoI tested the code before on an STM32WL Nucleo and there it runs fine. So I think there is some issue with the port to the RAK platform.I add the link to the GitHub repository so you can checkout the complete codebase because ZIP files aren´t allowed.https://github.com/Kampi/LoRa-GPS-Tracker/tree/1.1_DevThanks for your support!
Hello,I have an end-node device based on STM32WLE5CBU6.The end node sends data in every 10 seconds to the gateway.when I reset the End node device the uplink frame count in the end node resets to 0, at this moment the gateway shows a frame counter validation error.This error is solved when I disabled frame counter validation in the gateway.ISSUE: when for some reason I reactivate the device from the gateway the counter in the gateway resets to 0. At this moment the Node shows MAC rxDone but not going in the callback OnRxData. I verified that when I replace the Downlink frame-counter with a higher value in the gateway it works fine. means it is checking the downlink frame-count should be higher than the previous one.IS THERE ANY WAY TO DISABLE THE FRAME COUNTER VALIDATION IN ENDNODE ?
Good day, I am working on a custom BLE p2p server using the STM32_WPAN, library. I am working on the STM32WB55 chip with FreeRtos enabled. When I follow the STM32 Bluetooth tutorial on youtube, I realized that many tabs were missing on my setup. Is there a reason why I cannot get it to work like the tutorial or there's a setting I'm missing?
Hello @STTwo-32 @ST Community Looking for information and details on this.1) Currently I'm using B-L072Z LRWAN1 and I'm looking forward to using WL55JC1, using WL55JC1 CLASS B will increase my data rate?2) Does WL55JC1 support CLASS B and as well as CLASS C? 3) I got to know that a GPS-based gateway is required for CLASS B devices. So there can be specific requirements for CLASS C also?Thank you.
Hi everyone, i would create a LoRaWAN project in which both end-node and gateway are implemented by a NUCLEO-l476rg, because i haven't a gateway. The fictitous gateway is connected locally, with UART, to a python app on my pc, to handle the information trasmetted by the endnode. I have implemented both sides: 1) endnode, with a LoRaWAN endnode example from STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN, 2) the gateway's programm is a modificated pingping example, to receive and forward then to python. My problem is: premising that I set the tx frequency always to the first channel(868100000) when the end-node transmit, the "gateway doesn't receive every time, as well as is showed in this log: 16s627:Packet received26s627:Packet received36s627:Packet received56s627:Packet received66s627:Packet received96s627:Packet received106s627:Packet received The gateway should receive a packet every 10 s, but this doesn't happend. Someone can tell my why?
Hi,We have a project in which we are using the STM32WLE5CCU6 and we are trying to communicate through its RF but we are getting range upto 200m while we are expecting range in few KM. we have tested our board with the nucleo-wl55jc1 default antenna. We have tried to communicate on 915MHz with 125KHz BW for different SF from 7 to 12 but getting same range.we are using STM32WLE5CCU6 instead of STM32WL55CC. The reference design referred is (STM32WL QFN 4 Layers IPD - High Power Mode - Reference Board) .Does this makes any difference?Can you suggest us how we can achieve expected range.Thanks
Which file and where in the file (between begin .. end marker) should I place my function?This is taken from Drivers\STM32WLxx_HAL_Driver\Src\stm32wlxx_hal_gpio.c.It says "HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback could be implemented in the user file"I understand that the MX code generator requires user code be placed as dozens of specific places. How does those "places" work? Do those "places" not erased if I reconfigure pinout withanother run of the STM32CubeMX code generator? TIA /*** @brief EXTI line detection callback.* @param GPIO_Pin Specifies the port pin connected to corresponding EXTI line.* @retval None*/__weak void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){/* Prevent unused argument(s) compilation warning */UNUSED(GPIO_Pin); /* NOTE: This function should not be modified, when the callback is needed,the HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback could be implemented in the user file*/}
Hello @ST Community @STM Community Currently, I'm using Lorawan gateway: P-nucleo LRAWAN1 and Lorawan node: B-L072Z LRWAN1. As Lorawan provides a maximum range of 10 Km and a data rate of 5kbps at 125 kHz.B-L072Z node as a buffer of size 242 bytes.I have tried 3 cases:1) In this case I tried filling 6byte and transmit it, at SF7 I'm getting 28 frames per minute=6byte*28frames=168bytes=22.4bps.2) In this case I tried filling 48bytes and transmitting it, at SF7 I'm getting 27 frames per minute=48byte*27frames=172.8bps.3) In this case I tried filling 240bytes and transmitting it, at SF7 I'm getting 24 frames per minute=240byte*24frames=768bps. That is also I'm getting frames only at SF7 and SF8 and for the rest of SF I'm getting empty frames. When i try to fill 240 bytes.As Lorawan is capable of 5kbps. At what conditions and parameters I'll be getting at least 3 or 4kbps of speed?I'll describe my application: I want a maximum range of 1Km, with a maximum data rate as much as pos
Can anyone please direct me to documentation on how to interface to Bluetooth functionality on the STM32WB1MM module (or B-WB1M-WPAN1)? My understanding is that I should be able to use the Bluetooth capability from either the on-board STM32WB15 of from an external MPU via TTL UART or SPI. The question is how? I have found and read all manner of documentation about the STM32WB1MM and B-WB1M-WPAN1 devices but cannot find anything pertaining to Bluetooth. I have also looked through the example projects on GITHub but struggle to navigate the bewildering number of projects having rather cryptic names. https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB/tree/master/Projects/B-WB1M-WPAN1/Applications/BLE/BLE_HR_p2p_Sensor Is it just a question of connecting and using AT commands? Thank you.
Has multiple failures to download HAL package of about 100 MB to 500 MBfrom ST web. Firefox said failed, at about 20% progress bar. Saw same on multiple different packages. Seem it timeout on a non-fast internet. Some package can choose to download from ST or Github (that work fine). However, a lot of package do not have choice of Github.TIA
HI, Regarding STM32WB5MMG .It says its also supports:- Ultra-low-power modes for battery longevityBut how low? I can't find how much it consumes in STOP MODE 2.Is it written somewhere?Did anyone get to measure it? Is there a board that has this chip only without any peripherals I can measure current on?
I got this from github. It compiles ok. The package has source for STM32WLxx_HAL_Driver. How can I find out what version is the STM32WLxx_HAL_Driver? TIA
How to manually download submodules manually and put them in correct directory structure, for use with Nucleo-WL55JC1 (8xx/9xx MHz)?In https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWL, when I used the Green "code" button to download zip, some directory are empty and failed to locate .c and .h files on build. TIA
HelloI am updating the firmware and stack of my stm32wb55 using cubeprogrammer but it stops on firmware delete succefully then it gives me an error messageFUS_STATE_IMG_NOT_AUTHENTIC: Firmware/FUS upgrade requested, image found, but its signature is not valid (wrong signature, wrong signature header)How do i solve this Thank you
Hello,I am trying to make a project for firmware update using OTA with ST BLE Sensor Classic on IOS device but I have a problem I watched the videos and try to understand how can I create a project for fimware update. I started with an easy one I run BLE_OTA on WB55RGV6 than I write a simple blinking led application change the flash address at .ld file Than export the .bin file and try to update but it does not working. I try to update the examples that ST produced they are working perfectly but they don't have ioc files in it so I don't know what should I specificly do in IOC file. Can anyone help me with my project? I am trying to understand how can I make an OTA firmware update. I checked the P2Pserver_OTA but I couldn't understand how does it work clearly.
Hello,I have flashed the FUS and wireless stack to my B-U585I-IOT02A. However, there are no tutorials on how to set up a simple BLE app with the STBLE Toolbox with this specific board. All of the examples are built for different boards, as listed on this webpage. Does anyone have a small tutorial for how I can setup my STMCubeIDE environment to build a small BLE app to send simple sensor data from my B-U585I-IOT02A to the STBLE Toolbox or something else? Thank you in advance!
Hi,I have a project based on MIPOT 32001506xxx radio module.The 32001506xxx is a multi-protocol sub-GHz radio module based on STM32WL55JC microcontroller.I need an example to follow to help me use the radio module as a "simple" LoRa modem.Thanks in advance
For use with STM32WLE5JC, since I do not need I2C bridge and expandsion, will V3MiniE better than STLink-V3SET? MiniE higher SWO 24MHz vs 16MHz in slower V3SET. MiniE is 2 years younger. TIA
