Hellois it possible to make an image blink with the animated image widget (it seem that we need 2 images, but i only have one image to make it blink : it ON or OFF every 500ms)thanksbest regards
Hi! i wasn't able to find any example code for interfacing stm32f746G-Disco board with the OV9655 camera using the DCMI. Is there anything like that available out there?thanks a lot in advance =)
..because it looks like that at compile time all the images are transformed into .cpp and put in the binary.. i'm wondering if there's an optimization to make only the few into the screen pages to be "compiled into", otherwise i need to delete all of them and every time load in the "db" the one i need to put on the app..could be an eventual future optimization/feature?
Hi. Kind of directed to @Martin KJELDSEN  , could use the above documentation to assist another developer. Found the above via a Google search but leads to a broken URL on the Draupner website. Could this link be restored or documentation posted here as an attachment?Trying to assist a startup use case with CubeMX, TouchGFX and the STM32F469i-DISCO kit with the DSI MIPI display using IAR / SW4STM32.Url that is broken is:https://www.touchgfx.com/en/stmicroelectronics/stm32f469/Many thanks.
I have purchased LVDS display from Mouser, Also I have purchased SN65DSI85Q1-EVM board (DSI to lvds bridge) to interface lvds display.Anyone can help me to start the display?
After having restarted TouchGFX designer and recompiled the code (without any errors), the couple interactions I had in my code to transition from one screen to another don't work anymore ? I've tried creating a new screen interaction and that one works just fine… Any idea what could be the cause and how to solve that issue ?Thanks.
Hello,Is it possible to change the template of a projet after its creation ?Thanks.
I am attempting to setup a project that is first configured in CubeMx 5.0.1 and then add graphics in Designer 4.10 and finally code in SW4STM32 but running into some issues in particular how a certain section is worded. I am following thru the how-to below, which is focused on EWARM, I am hoping to use those instructions and apply to SW4STM32 workbench but I am unclear what the instructions under the section "Modifying EWARM Project" means....https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020208091-Configuring-STM32F769I-DISCO The following sentence seems quite confusingIn the project add a sub-group under Drivers called BSP and add the three files stm32f769i_discovery.c, stm32f769i_discovery_qspi.c and stm32f769i_discovery_ts.c which is located in STM32F7Cube installation folder, [STM32F7Cube]Drivers/BSP/STM32769i-Discovery and the file ft5336.c located in [STM32F7Cube]/Drivers/BSP/Components/ft6x06so I create a Sub-group called BSP under Drivers and a
ApplicationTemplate for STM32F469I DiscoveryKit create Keil project file for uVision v4 with wrong TargetOption. <Device>STM32F427ZI</Device>. Where i can get right ApplicationTemplate for STM32F469I DiscoveryKit ?Thanks.
I'm trying to hook STM32F767 (on a Nucleo-144 board) to a 640x400 24-bit LCD-TFT display with the following configuration:use the controller's internal RAM to store framebuffer, and drive the display using the LTDC controlleruse 8-bit pixel format with CLUT (which is actually used to represent the RGB332 color encoding)I was trying to use the DMA2D controller to transfer bitmaps from flash to the screen frame buffer, and to generate colorful rectangles. However, the stm32f7xx_hal_dma2d.h only defines the 24- and 16-bit output formats: ARGB8888, RGB888, RGB565, ARGB1555, ARGB4444.Is there a way to use the DMA2D controller to work with the L8 output format?(Also, given the typical memory constraints of embedded systems, it seems reasonable to provide native support for RGB332 or ARGB2222 in the LTDC and DMA2D controllers - are there any chances to see those in some foreseeable future?)The header file also claims to support the A8 and A4 input color modes, but I haven't found any explanat
Hi,I wanted to know if you've any future plans of creating a keyboard widget? It'd drastically simplify the devolpment process of GUI interfaces for touch screens as creating a fully functional keyboard with all the functionalities one would expect of such is long and cumbersome.Thanks.

I could use some clarification about how TouchGFX sets up the the RGB interface/color depth for this board. In BoardConfiguration.cpp, the frame buffer is set up for 16 bit color depth by default and is forced when using the single frame buffer (I am using the SINGLE_FRAME_BUFFER_INTERNAL option and have removed the external SDRAM chip). In LCD_LayerDefaultInit(), Layercfg.PixelFormat is set to LTDC_PIXEL_FORMAT_RGB565 if using 16bpp and LTDC_PIXEL_FORMAT_RGB888 if using 24bpp.However, the RGB interface is wired such that R2-7,G2-7, and B2-7 are used for a total of 18 bits (RGB666). I want to use the Displaytech DT018ATFT display (datasheet: https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/116/DT018ATFT-v10-221368.pdf) , which supports both the 16 and 18 bit RGB interface. How are the RGB channels handled in 16 bit color mode and are there any special changes that should be considered for initializing the new display?
Hello,I'm using the STM32H743I-EVAL. I want to use TouchGFX in my program, but I can't find any project template to start from. If there were some basic "Hello World" program, that runs out of the box on the evaluation board, that would make my life much easier. The TouchGFX Designer software allows creating a basic project for many ST boards, including the STM32H743I-EVAL. I'm able to generate a project for that board, but I can't program it using the binary files with neither the "Run Target" button, or using the ST-Link software. When I use the ST-Link software, I get the following error:15:41:44 : Timeout during flash programming15:41:44 : Error occured during program operation!15:41:44 : Can not read memory!Has someone been able to create a working project for that board?I would appreciate any help doing so or a project I could examine and learn from.Thanks.
Pretty advanced feature I'm requesting here, but would it be possible to have a Background Widget so it can be excluded from the Slide screen transitions? This way, if we have an application with multiple screens that all have the same background image, we could have a Slide transition that leaves the background intact but only slides the widgets that are over the background.I have no idea if this is even possible with the current transition implementation of Touch GFX, but it would surely make an awesome feature!Thank you,
Hello,I have such kind o problem with my application which contains of many screen. One of these screens is quite complicated (many modal windows, buttons, list, etc). When I call xQueueSend to forward messages between two tasks (one relates to uart and the other is GUI task) application hangs (every time). Hard fault error is called which is FORCED IMPRECISERR type. I increased TASK_STK_SIZE and respectively configTOTAL_HEAP_SIZE in FreeRTOSConfig.h but it didn't help. I noticed that when I remove canvas buffer from generated file for this screen, everything is ok, but unfortunately I cannot do it in TouchGFX Designer. That is why every time I generate new code I have to comment these lines. Do You have any solution to this problem and can You explain ma why such situation takes place?
I have a project running an STM32F429, and I have a TFT LCD connected using the FMC subsystem. (I'm not using the LTDC because I'm using that for another LCD). This LCD is an 8080-type interface with 16-bit wide data, /RD, /WR, /CS and command/data select. It's working perfectly if I write to the FMC memory space directly.I'd like to use DMA2D for faster writes and for format translation. I want to store an 8-bit buffer in RAM and have it translated to 16-bit by the CLUT. This almost works, except that it seems like every other pixel is skipped. If I try to clear the screen using a register to memory transfer only the upper half of the screen is cleared. If I try to write text on the screen, I get something like this[display line 1, half size][display line 2, half size][display line 3, half size][display line 4, half size]etc...Each line is scaled by half and because of that, I get two lines of data packed into one line of screen. I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if I'm j
I have a TouchGFX project created from TouchGFX for the STM32L4R9I-DISCOVERY and I'm editing the code to enable storage for playing audio. However, when I enable Storage_Init(MSD_DISK_UNIT); either from main.c or using the mmi_interpreter with: MMI_Interpreter_STORAGE_Services(MEDIA_STORAGE_INIT, (void*) MSD_DISK_UNIT); My LCD stops displaying the graphics I've created. Has anyone seen this before? Is there timing conflicts trying to enable the SD storage feature eventhough the code is written and available?
Hello,I would like to use a lot from the ST32L4R9I-DISCO Demo Code for my own application. Are you planning to release the source code? Thanks and best regards,Christoph
Hello,I'm a complete beginner of TouchGFX as I've just started exploring what it's got under the hood. I'm rather perplexed as to how I can access an element of a given screen from a container of said screen. Let me elaborate. In the main screen, I've two containers C1 and C2. One (C1) that's invisible by default and that I'd like to render visible from a button click of C2. How can I accomplish that simply ? I'm sure it's straightforward but I don't know which function I've got to use for that. Note that both containers are statically loaded. Thanks in advance
...each time the the LCD is updated. If I press ignore it will draw the next segment and then throw a new assert at the same place. Any ideas what the root problem could be?I'm using touchGFX 4.10.0 and IAR ARM compiler 8.32.1
Hellohow can we get a pointer to the current view in a container (to get for example a variable value contained in the view object)thanksbest regards
I am having problems with confguring LCD display on STM32L496G-DISCO.Can i find someone that have a example on how to configure LCD with STM32L496G-DISCO.
I'm having a real conceptual problem trying to visualise sync pulses going down the high speed DSI interface to a TFT LCD.This means that I have no idea how to set up the LTDC values for HorizontalSync, VerticalSync, AccumulatedHBP etc etc. The ILI9806E (i.e. external GRAM) display document gives no hints on how the sync info is passed over (if it is at all!) on a DSI link, only on a parallel link where there are of course discrete control lines.I've got to the point that HAL_DSI_PatternGeneratorStart() puts up a pattern that gradually fades away but even though I'm setting my display buffers correctly using DMA2D, the contents never seem to make it out of LTDC into the DSI world!!I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but the CubeMX code has everything in a different order to the code in the LCD_DSI video mode examples which is making code reviews tricky.
Hi... I'm trying to update the contents of a textArea from a freeRTOS task but I have a problem on the second iteration... it seems that the new text is written on top of the old ones... even if I call the Invalidate() methods as reported below:void Screen1View::setMessage(char* message, int msglen){textArea1.invalidate();Unicode::strncpy(textArea1Buffer, message, msglen);textArea1.setWildcard(textArea1Buffer);textArea1.resizeToCurrentText();textArea1.invalidate();}why is this happening ? shouldnt invalidate() do all the magics ? thanks a lot, Giampaolo
