I only have enough storage to have 1 framebuffer at L4 size for the stm32f7X9. The problem is seems is that the LTDC only supports L8 as the lowest pixel density.The C define is LTDC_PIXEL_FORMAT_L8 http://www.tjaekel.com/lyrebird_APP/DualMCU_doxygen/stm32f7xx__hal__ltdc_8h_source.htmlIs there any way around this. Can i use a small buffer for output and use the DMA2d to fill that buffer when the screen needs filling. The DMA2d has support for L4
I'm using the stm32f769i-disco1. Which has 2 mB of flash memory.https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f769idiscovery.htmlI'm creating a very simply application that's drawing circles and squares and some text, so it's not using most of the flash. Could i use the remanding flash to create a frame buffer for the display.The only thing related to this idea is using external flash as framebuffer.https://github.com/ProjectsByJRP/QSPI_Flash_to_LCDIf i need to, i'm fine with rendering partial display's in ram and writing them out to flash. I'm just trying to avoid having extra chips.
Hello all! this is my first post in ST forum :) I have a problem with configuring STM32F469 in Cube IDE together with TouchGFX. I have not found a tutorial for configuring STM32F469 and CubeMX with Touch GFX. I did all the steps from tutorials and ST documentation. I did everything step by step according to the film below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOs2LYO7wSA Is there any tutorial on how to configure STM32F469 and compile the first program with TouchGFX? How do you configure individual steps in CubeMX for STM32F469? I will be very grateful for your answer.

I'm experimenting with the LCD library on the STM32F746G-DISCO board. I wanted to display an image from a BMP file on the display. Unfortunately this never worked. I looked at several examples, and finally noticed that the function LL_ConvertLineToARGB8888((uint32_t *)pbmp, (uint32_t *)address, width, input_color_mode) in the file "stm32746g_discovery_lcd.c" called does not do what it promises.When I replace this line with :uint8_t * sourcefile = (uint8_t *)pbmp; uint8_t * targetlocation = (uint8_t*)(address); for(uint32_t i = 0; i<width; i++){ targetlocation[i*4+0] = sourcefile[i*4+1]; targetlocation[i*4+1] = sourcefile[i*4+2]; targetlocation[i*4+2] = sourcefile[i*4+3]; targetlocation[i*4+3] = sourcefile[i*4+0]; }the BMP display works. Only it won't be so efficient, I guess. How do I make the function "LL_ConvertLineToARGB8888" work? I see it works with "hDma2dHandler". Is it possible that I have to initialize something special?
1. TouchGFX Designer looks for ST-Link utility in:C:\Program Files (x86)\STMicroelectronics\STM32 ST-LINK Utility\ST-LINK Utilitywhile recent ST-Link version gets installed in:C:\Program Files (x86)\STM32 ST-LINK Utility\ST-LINK Utilityand different folder selection during installation is not even an option.2. Slider control has a bug, handle leaves a trace while moved - both in emulator and on STM32F769i-DISCO. See screenshot.3. Change Screen interaction action does not seem to always work. Controls from another screen appear but controls from the previous screen do not slide out - for example. In emulator it works OK, on STM32F769i-DISCO it does not.It is great product, just little buggy.
Hi, Is it possible to use multiple models in touchgfx. I have designed six screens for my application and all the screens are interacting with a single model. I would like to use separate model for each of the screens. Is it possible to do that. If yes, give me an idea to implement that.
Is there any way to change font of an application? I have a button that change the application style( buttons image ecc) but i need (graphic guy want) also to change the font, size and colout of the text. Is it that possible?
Hello,I'm working on a webcam like application using the stm32f4discovery (stm32f407vg mcu).I've generated the the project with CubeMX following the indications in AN5052 (Digital camera interface (DCMI) for STM32 MCUs).Once I compile it (it is a Makefile project) it ends up with undeclared symbols errors.The first missing symbol is the one which defines the MCU (i.e. STM32F40_41xxx), which is weird since CubeMX is well aware of the MCU I'm using and it could define it for me. However, I can easily fix this by defining it. But then other five undeclared symbols appear: DCMI_ESCR_LSC_Pos, DCMI_ESCR_LEC_Pos, DCMI_ESCR_FEC_Pos, DCMI_CWSIZE_VLINE_Pos, DCMI_CWSTRT_VST_Pos.So why are these symbols undefined? Are them supposed to be defined by me based on the camera specification? Is there anything wrong in the project settings?
Hello everybody,I'm currently using CubeMX + Touchgfx with my Stm32f469i-disco board.Everything works fine, but whenever the board needs to update something that is one first quarter of the screen (e.g updating a text) the whole quarter of the screen reblinks. This doesn't happen when i'm updating something that is otherwhere on the screen.The only strange thing I did was setting manually the hltdc.Init.AccumulatedActiveW and TotalWidth to 202 and 203 (instead of the 802 and 803 created by CubeMX), otherwise the lcd doesn't work properly.Thanks,Mariano
Hi community,I would like to develop simple application for STM32F769i-DISCO board.It needs graphics with some buttons and text. It needs to read analog and digital data via Arduino shield, support serial communication.When I start a new project using CubeIDE graphics is not configured.When I start TouchGFX project I have graphic but nothing else.What is the recommended approach?Where from do I download some comprehensive demo?Some good, well documented examples for this board with instruction on how to compile in MS VS (or VS Code) perhaps would be far more helpful than ST tools mentioned.Please advise.
Hi,I am developing a quite complex UI, and I'm struggling a bit with achieving satisfactory frame rates during full screen transitions. My UI consists of a range of controls in the left side of the screen (custom containers), and the main portion is several layers with a texture mapper that scales/rotates an image in front. After a lot of profiling, I have determined the following:The texture mapper is drawn in many small portions, even though it is completely visible (nothing on top). The amount of draw() calls seems unreasonable to me.Parts of the widgets beneath the texture mapper are also drawn, even though they are hidden by the texture mapper.Is this something you could look into?Also, some kind of media API would be nice!RegardsChad Brody
As title say, i need to modify the appearance of a scrollbar, any way to do that?ThanksStefano
Hello,I have a basic touchgfx project working through designer and IAR. But when I add another FreeRTOS task, the task I add does not run. If I comment out the touchgfx task, my task runs just fine. I've adjusted priorities and that does not work. This is the main.cpp code I've added:xTaskCreate(ShellTask, (TASKCREATE_NAME_TYPE)"ShellTask", configGUI_TASK_STK_SIZE, NULL, configGUI_TASK_PRIORITY+1, NULL); xTaskCreate(GUITask, (TASKCREATE_NAME_TYPE)"GUITask", configGUI_TASK_STK_SIZE, NULL, configGUI_TASK_PRIORITY, NULL);Here is my shell_process.cpp code:FrontendApplication* App = static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(Application::getInstance()); int myScreen = 1; void ShellTask( void * pvParameters ) { for( ;; ) { vTaskDelay(10000); if(myScreen == 0) { App->gotoScreen1ScreenNoTransition(); myScreen = 1; } else { App->gotoScreen2ScreenNoTransition(); myScreen = 0; } } }The task is very simple, transition screens every 10 seconds. When I run this t
i want graph by attached data, in touchgfx there is no option to create list and store it
Hello,in my project I have large circular gauge (circular progress widget). I am attaching link to google drive with project (simulator) below. Progress isn't properly drawn for negative angles. Am I missing something?Manipulating with radius, line width and different cap styles changes behaviour.https://drive.google.com/open?id=1TX2GJbksbZvzibpBIfqDNq9AqAVHYx0HEdit:Workaround: add 360 degrees to start and end angle - in my case from 240° to 480°
Hi, I have generated a plain project code with one button for STM32F769i-DISCO board.It does not compile due to missing arm_math.h and arm_common_tables.h files.I would appreciate any pointers. Screenshot attached. TouchGFX Designer version 1.10

I need some text in chineese and corean, for example i need to write 한국어 and 汉语 , i've added those letters in my Typographies, but still get only ???, what am i missing? another strange think is that i forgot to put greek character in my typography, but the word ελληνικά is displayed correcly...btw, not sure if corean is supported, but chineese is, according to https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205452881-Languages-and-CharactersThanks.Stefano
Hello,i use snprintf function to print some UnicodeChar variable. But i have trouble to get special charcters printed (as é, è, ü...) by the mean of this function.(even if i have declared in the typography wildcard Character column the special characters (éè) )What is the right way to have these specials characters printed ?Thanksbest regards exemple :touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar start_txt_next_service_valueBuffer[START_TXT_NEXT_SERVICE_VALUE_SIZE]; Unicode::snprintf(start_txt_next_service_valueBuffer, START_TXT_NEXT_SERVICE_VALUE_SIZE, "%d %s", CAN_getNextServiceDays(), TypedText(T_START_NEXT_SERVICE_DAYS).getText());
