Hi!The STM32H725ZG comes in a 144-pin package and configuring ETH RMII + LTDC 24 bits (RGB888) in parallel would seem realistic. But I have failed even though I have tried to move around pin configurations quite a bit.A single pin (PA2) seems to be the issue. Thanks for any hints in case I missed something.
Hello, I'm using a STM32L4S9 with TouchGFX and an external SRAM on my custom board with cubeMX. However, I've found that after initialising the FMC lines, MX_TouchGFX_Init modifies the configuration of SRAM_D0 and SRAM_D1 on GPIOD, so that they can't be used.I'm using a Singlebuffer and the DMA2D accelerator is off (I had to switch the DMA2D accelerator off due to the fact that lockDMAToFrontPorch(true); had no effect when DMA2D is enabled). My only work around at the moment is to re-initialise the FMC lines manually again after the touchgfx is initialised. Is this a known issue?
Hi,I'm currently working on the STM32H753I-EVAL02 with the 5.7" parallel RGB 24 screen. Now, I would like to buy a bigger screen with higher resolution (e.g. 7/8" - 1024*600). With this configuration, it's recommended to use LVDS rather than parallel RGB.So, for that, I will need a new controller board that takes for input parallel RGB 24 (from the motherboard) with a 50 pins IDC connector and for output, LVDS.After long research, I don't find any controller board that matching this case.Does anyone have some references (or just one ! :D) ? Or does someone have never changed a parallel RGB touch screen by an LVDS ?Thanks
I just updated TouchGFX to 19.0 and I am having an issue with my FlexButtons. I have found that when I have a flexbutton contain text and it is populated by a wildcard, it will no longer show the wild card text, even if I don't update the text in code and use the default value. However, If I add text and make it static, it works fine. One other thing I tried was having a mix of static text and wildcard text on the same button (eg. "test<value>") and made the default value equal to "test2". So the expected outcome would be "testtest2", instead I just see "test".Also, all of this code worked fine on 18.0 and 18.1. Can anyone help me at all with this?
i got STM32F401 and ST7735. 1.8inch TFT but NO touch, i am trying to setup two screens and switch between them. so i decided to used physical button over interrupt / UART. i made necessary callbacks and able to alter a flag. now the question is how to link it to touchgfx? where to edit the code.? i have alredy created hardware button clicked event but for some reason its not switching from home screan to screen 2. my call backs are working perfect toogling the LEDs . but the screan is not changing.
Hi!I got an external display RVT50HQTNWC00-B - Riverdi to work with TouchGFX, but only when showing static images/buttons. I am testing STM32H735G-DK and STM32H743I-EVAL in paralell. These boards are using OSPI HyperRAM and SDRAM respectively to store the framebuffer(s).But for both boards I get the same severe flickering effect :\ when trying to update a simple progressbar every 500ms (see video). The two text areas and button are static objects...I have read the AN4861 and especially page 37. It seems the LTDC FIFO overrun flag is set in every breakpoint in void LTDC_ER_IRQHandler(void) and I have tried/observed a few things:Display is (naturally) set to max frequency 25 MHzSame flickering problem with both boards Single vs double framebuffer has no effectDMA2D has no effectUsing only one LTDC layerUsing RGB565 instead of RGB888 gives somewhat less flickering (gives framebuffer line width to 64/128 bytes)Futher more, I am not sure how these recommendations from AN4861 could be achiev
I am Venket Raj , Junior Design engineer, I am currently using STM32F769I-DISCO with ST7796S Display Driver. The ST7796S uses MIPI-DSI Protocol for its communication . I have to know that any support driver available for this. Also if any other way to test the display functionality by means of any test code.Kindly provide .I am writing the Display driver for ST7796S reference with the OTM8009a driver, which the driver is working currently. Most of the initialisation address are same. ****Custom Display (PV154006LF24E) which I am currently having only the MIPI_DSI Interface.*****I have attached the datasheets of the abov(ST7796S and OTM8009a ) . Also attached the Initialisation code which sent by the manufacturer, which is not elaborate.Kindly Help me in this regard... I am stuck in this for a long time which makes more critical to me.
Hi ,I have a product in which I am using STM32F746 for LTDC. Now due to Chip Shortage, I had to use STM32F429 for the same product. However, even Though the Pins are same for both MCU's , The Alternate functions differ which creates lot of difficulties in Production. We have to change the PCB Design just for few tracks. LTDC AF's do not match in both the MCU'S.For example in STM32F746 PIN PA1 Is used for LTDC_R2 but same alternate function is not available in STM32F429 for the same pin.Is there any way of matching the Alternate Function for both the devices?

I plan to use STM32H745BIT6 which has 2 cores M7 and M4. The end application is high end graphics with 800x480resolution 16bpp and TouchGFX.It seems the Core M4 has the ART accelerator and not M7?So Which core is recomemded for use considiering the end application will have high end graphics?ThanksAnuj
Is it possible for me to integrate and call C code to control various aspects of my hardware (medical device) while I build my touch based user interface through TouchGFX, since the latter is written in C++? And if so, what might be the drawbacks?Thank you.
Hello experts. Let me ask you a question.I compiled the code made through TouchGFX with IDE and downloaded it to the board with Programmer. If you touch after disconnecting to check, the touch does not work. However, if I connect and then disconnect again, the touch works fine. What is the problem?Additionally, even when debugging in the IDE compiler, touch works fine.
hey thereI have a stm32H743iit6 which I wish to run emwin on it. I also have a 50pin LCD which runs on LTDC. after configuring pins and clock and also SDRAM, I notice that when it comes to LCD_X_Config() and so the function GUI_DEVICE_CreateAndLink(), the program stucks and doesn't work. I've tested and tried both linear and flexcolor GUI driver but no good. any ideas why it gets stuck in this function?
Hi,I am using TouchGFX with a STM32F4 MCU that is working pretty great and is quite awesome :)!I am running into an issue where when transitioning (cover transition) from one screen to the other, the upper part of the screen is flickering the lower part seems ok.When displaying a static screen, everything is perfect.I am not sure that comes from TouchGFX though... (maybe it is a screen issue)Here is my setup :The screen is connected using the RGB interface 16 bit at 6.35MHzThe screen is a DT028CTFT The frame buffer is internal in a dedicated 164KB memory bank inside the STM32F4I am using the DMA2D with the LTDC built in controllersI do not use double frame buffer nor animation storage (maybe here is the issue?)I don't really know what kind of other information I could provide that can be useful here, please feel free to ask for more information. Thanks in advance for the help,AM.
Hi,I have a touchGFX project that requires many images that use about 20MB of QSPI.So flash the project on the card from CubeIDE take about 2-3min each time.I wan't to know if it's possible to avoid rewrite assets if it's not needed ?Thanks
Hai :I am using STM32H7 MCU custom board with Hardware Buttons. Set points can be changed by selecting the menu in the menu list and using the button. What the option used in the Touchgfx framework? I am trying change menu selection(Highlights). So used "MOVE THE WIDGET" Interaction. But if the button is clicked after making all the moves.Kindly share any solution for my project,Thanks & RegardsM. Govind
Hello, I create drop-down used by slide menu but it isn't working how I want. When I click this dropdown it expands and background image goes to last position, like this :I want that my background picture be in first position like that:How can I achieve it? Thanks.
Maybe someone has example and can share?
Hello @Romain DIELEMAN , @Martin KJELDSEN, I see that you have a lot of replies on the TouchGFX so I hope it's ok that I address you directly. I am running a low-power application with a DSI display and TouchGFX 13 (will update to latest eventually). The problem that I have is that I cannot bring the display out of power off mode without deleting and re-creating the TouchGFX task. My ideal approach would be to simply stop the tick (seem like the suggestion for this is to stop LTDC interrupt via __HAL_LTDC_DISABLE(&hltdc); / __HAL_LTDC_ENABLE(&hltdc). I've also tried touchgfx::HAL::getInstance()->disableInterrupts(); / touchgfx::HAL::getInstance()->enableInterrupts();. But it seems like whenever the interrupts are stopped, I am unable to get the tick running again - DSI_IRQHandler stoppes triggering. My display power-off consists simply of issuing required DSI commands, then pulling power to the supply. Upon power-on I can tell that the display is active, but is not
Hi there! Our product using and STM32F769 + OTM8009A LCD screen (the same as the DISCO_F769) has been working great for quite some time now. We've been using all the drivers provided by ST to have the LCD run and display images or play videos.Recently, we have been working on enabling `STOP MODE` in our product to reduce power consumption when it's not used. We've discovered that when exiting `STOP MODE` the screen start behaving strangely until it completely stops working. It looks like this: (see https://github.com/leka/LekaOS/issues/1074)Colors are shifting when we turn off (STOP MODE) and turn on (wake up) the video. Position is also shifting. If you do that in a loop, sometimes it "works again" then fails again until it eventually crashes completely. The PR adding the bug is here:https://github.com/leka/LekaOS/pull/1173/filesOur guess is that there are issues with the DSI or LTDC clock when STOP MODE / waking up, but we don't even know where to start looking...Any ideas? :s
Hi everyone, I am a beginner in TouchGFX.Right now I have created several containers with different buttons. My goal is as follows: When klicking a button of one container I want to change to another container. So far I have found only the possibility to change between screens but not between containers. Thanks in advance!Antonia
Hello everyone. I have a question. I am using the stm32h723 processor in a project. I keep my image data in octoSPI external ram correctly. When I show OCTOSPI_BASE_ADRES to LTDC peripheral, the screen is distorted, but when I keep the same image in my flash memory, the image is fine. What would be the reason?.Could it be a sync problem between ltdc and octospi?
I need to pass a 6 characters string to a function in a custom container, but the string is cut to 4 characters. The function is called in the screen where the container is, like this: container.function(str). If I pass a string smaller than 5 characters it works ok, but greater not. I'm sure at this moment the 6 characters string is complete. In the custom container the string and the function are defined as follows: Unicode::UnicodeChar str[7]; function (Unicode::unicodechar * str);Is there a limitation to pass strings greater than 4 characters in TouchGFX? How could I solve it?Thanks.
