I just installed TouchGFX Designer 4.21.3 yesterday and now whenever I try to run simulator or run target I get these errors: gcc/makefile_cm7:403: recipe for target 'CM7/TouchGFX/build/STM32H745I_DISCO/CM7/TouchGFX/gui/src/main_screen/mainView.o' failed make[3]: *** [CM7/TouchGFX/build/STM32H745I_DISCO/CM7/TouchGFX/gui/src/main_screen/mainView.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory 'c:/Users/o.sang/Documents/TouchGFX/MyApplication_3' gcc/makefile_cm7:368: recipe for target 'generate_assets' failed make[2]: *** [generate_assets] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory 'c:/Users/o.sang/Documents/TouchGFX/MyApplication_3' makefile_cm7:49: recipe for target 'all' failed make[1]: *** [all] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory 'C:/Users/o.sang/Documents/TouchGFX/MyApplication_3/gcc' ../../gcc/Makefile:10: recipe for target 'flash' failed make: *** [flash] Error 2 Failed FailedI check other posts in the ST community but there were no answers to solve my problem. hello,For me stm32f746-disco has two versions.1) The first is the green PCB. The following label is attached. MBI1191 B-03 / 2154300550 -> LCD screen normal operation / LCD Touc normal recognition2) The second one is the blue PCB. The following label is attached. MB1191-F746-C01 / C220200062 -> LCD screen normal operation / LCD Touc normal operation not recognizedThe purchase is Mouser, but first I bought the normally working red PCB and after 1 year I bought the BLUE PCB.https://www.mouser.kr/ProductDetail/STMicroelectronics/STM32F746G-DISCO?qs=KuGPmAKtFKV4xEByQ7IKqA%3D%3DI want to know why the touch recognition doesn't work normally on the newly purchased green PCB.
are there any setting to be reverted? using nucleo-64 446RE with 3.2inch 340x240 tft display with spi interface. when i rebuilt the project it says flash overflowed.
We have a custom STM32H7 2MB processor that we are running our project on fine.I am interested if it is possible / recomended to store all my images and fonts on our external 4MB flash ?The main reason i am looking to do this is to reduce the size of "on-site" firmware updates. Currently we have to use RS485 as a transport so this might be a benafit. to offload some of the standard png files to external flash?Any pointers / advice would be approciated.
External FMC NOR Flash for large Touch GFX files. Is it possible to embed the flash loader into a custom application? (Build it into the base hex file.)I wanted to forgo using the typical .stldr method for firmware update reasonsAre there any example projects I could be directed towards for this?Any help is much appreciatedThanks
Hello! The CircleProgress and Circle widgets do not work with images on STM32H7 with a 1280x800 24bpp TFT (double buffered graphic mode), while they work correctly in the simulator.Circle widget:if under "Image & Color" I choose Color, it works on both hw and simulator but if I choose Image and assign an image, it doesn't work on hw but on the simulator it does.CircleProgress widget:if I select color, it works on both hw and simulator.if I select an image for the background, it works both on hw and simulator.but if I also select an image for the foreground progress, on the simulator it works while on the hw I only see the background image. All other widgets and texts are rendered fine.png images are both 348x348 32bpp, fully opaque (no trasparency), no matter if they are filled with a single color or not.Circle center position at 174,174, radius 174, line Width 0 or 90 (probably won't work at any width), start angle any, end angle 360, cap style flat, alpha 255.Please help.Stefano

I'm using a 1280x800 pixel display with 72 MHz pixel clock, and an external SDRAM. Sometimes I see glitches like this, where parts of the image is horizontally displaced:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pluyvL0PvIThe SDRAM is the IS42S32200L with 32 bit data bus. The glitch only happens, when the CPU does other things, like updating a FPS counter on the display. When I stop the program with an infinite while loop, the display is fine. The glitch happens much more often with a lower SDRAM speed. The video is with 100 MHz clock for the SDRAM. The LTDC is configured in 16 bit mode. So this should be nearly 3 times as much bandwidth as needed. But it also happens sometimes when I configure the SDRAM clock with the maximum allowed 200 MHz, but not as much.I tried to change the AXI interconnect configuration, prioritizing the QoS setting for the LTDC controller, but no changes. What can be the reason for the glitches and how to fix it?
Hi, as per datasheet of STM32F412VG all IO's are compliant (page 124) to CMOS & TTL, it's OK for input signal, but while configuring pin as output, how we will come to know logic level for the same, as VOH (min) is 2.4 for TTL & for CMOS it is (VDD-0.4) for 3.3 operating it will be 2.9Vi am interfacing device, where min. VIH (min) requirement is 2.48V, if controller pin is with TTL, it may create an issue
HI,I've implemented a scrollWheel that change selcted item every n ticks. For that, I call the animateToItem() method of the scrollWheel in the handleTickEvent() method of my screen. But now, I can't scroll between items manually.Does anyone know how to work with the tickEvent/animateToItem and the "normal" behavior off the scrollWheel ?
Hi,I want to interface RGB 5" TFT Display (TM050RDZGP08-00 or A0500WVN1MAAADBA1) to STM32U599ZJT6Q. Could you please help me whether is possible with this MCU? If yes could you, please help me with any reference design.Thank in advance.Regards,Santhosh
Hi there!I'm using an STM32F746 disco with an OV9655 camera module. I have already configured all necessary peripherals: LTDC, FMC and DCMI.What I want to do exactly is tell the camera in which buffer I want it to save the image. In the meantime, process the previous image using the CPU. When I finished processing the image, I want to tell the LCD to display it. Maybe it will better br understood if you see this: while (1) { // HAL_Delay(500); //DCMI->CR |= (1U << 0); switch (sequence) { case SEQ_1: /* 1- Capture -> Buff_1 */ Take_a_frame( buff_address[0] ); sequence = SEQ_2; break; case SEQ_2: /* 1- Capture -> Buff_2 2- Pocess Buff_1 */ Take_a_frame( buff_address[1] ); processar( ); sequence = SEQ_3; break; case SEQ_3: /* 1- Capture -> Buff_3 2- Process Buff_2 3- Buff_1 -> LCD */ Take_a_frame( buff_address[2] ); processar( ); Show_frame( buff_address[0] ); sequence = SEQ_4; break; case SEQ_4:
Hello everyone ,I am Yugenthar .Now working in stm32f746-dosco board LTDC concept Try to display the image throught RGB LTDC Signal But I cannot able the display the image. but code working no error is comming .step;1.i have convert to image to LDC image convertor app (is convert image to c-header file)then i give my main code Please give the sollution .#include "main.h"#include "bird1.h"LTDC_HandleTypeDef hltdc;UART_HandleTypeDef huart3;void SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_USART3_UART_Init(void);static void MX_LTDC_Init(void);int main(void){ HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_LTDC_Init(); while (1) { }}void SystemClock_Config(void){ RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_
I created a project in TouchGFX Designer and then I opened the project in CubeMX. It compiles successfully. But then I want to add UART function to my project. So I go to CubeMX and add UART function but when compiling it gives an error because the stm32h7xx_hal_uart.c and stm32h7xx_hal_uart_ex.c files were not added to Drivers\STM32H7xx_HAL_Driver folder. So I had to manually import them and it compiles fine.CubeMX should have a functionality to automatically add the corresponding files for each functionality. Now I have added FreeRTOS functionality and it's giving me the same type of error message, except I do not know what files to add since I am not too familiar with RTOS.The error message is so long that I had to take 2 separate screenshots, I hope you guys can read it and help me out.I suspect the problem have to do with missing files for FreeRTOS.
I would like to apply the touchGFX without RTOS .RTOS is a quite complex way,and the products our company ever made never apply it.That means we need a fast and simple way to use touchGFX,taking time on RTOS is not the first choice. I also read the section <no RTOS> at https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/basic-concepts/operating-system,but useless.
I followed the steps to run the simulator on PC using the demo from touchgfx,it pops out this error. no idea why it turns to so strange include path. On my PC I installed QNX650 EDA, Visual Studio. No idea how I can fix this. Compile make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile -j8 Reading ./application.config /usr/bin/sh: C:TouchGFX4.16.0envMinGWmsys1.0QNX650targetqnx6usrinclude: command not found generated/simulator/gcc/Makefile:149: recipe for target 'generate_assets' failed
Hello, I from Russia and I use cyrillic symbols. In touchGFX Designer I use cyrillyc symbols without problems. But if I type cyrillic symbols in IDE, in codefilesMytext="Cyrillic_Text";I get "?????????" on touchGFX gadget.I try to translate codefiles to UTF-8 - same result: "?????????"How to solve this problem?
I'm trying to use 7 inch TFT display with STM32F750-DK discovery baord. I have replaced inbult 4.3 display by disoldering and soldering new display. I'm using application template from TouchDesigner designed for 4.3 display. I have done the necessory LTDC configurations from CubeMX by follwing this forum answer and the display datasheet. Also change the start address 2 to match with 24*480*800 bits under "Display" configurations in "Touchgfx Mode and Configration" in CubeMX. Finally abled to display some static screen like in the 1st image bellow sucessfully. But the problem is when I inserted a animated imaged display got jumbled and going crazy like in the 2nd image bellow. I just add one animated image to the sceen in my 1st image. What could be the reason for this wired beharvour only happens with animations. This animation woking in simulator without any issueP.S. I'm facing some wired display item misplacement when transistion between 2 static screens as well. Seems like issues come
Hello to the whole community. I want to replicate a project I have already developed on AVR microcontrollers, on the STM32 platform by introducing a graphical GUI using TouchGFX. Substantially the project is a control system to measure the rpm of some fans and I would like to add a graphical part that unfortunately the MCU ( 8-bit) I'm using now doesn't allow me to do or anyway is very basic and not smartphone-like. I am not familiar with the architecture of the STM32 family, but it is obviously much more complex than the C register programming of a small MCU. However, I was wondering if someone could answer some of my questions:How are the ISRs from the outside handled? Or rather if I exploit the graphics rendering part of the MCU a lot, can I run into errors, in the measurement? Is it better to put a dedicated microprocessor alongside to handle interrupts, computation, etc. and delegate only the graphics part to the STM32?Which board can I purchase to be able to work on the developmen

I've recently updated our application from 4.18 to 4.20, and I've noticed a couple of rendering errors with TextArea. They occur when setWideTextAction() is set to WIDE_TEXT_WORDWRAP, and the text area wraps. The first problem is related to multi-line text areas. When calculating the bounding box for rendering, it only considers with width of the first line. If the second line is longer than the first, it is truncated. This has already been reported (search for "touchgfx truncated line when using word wrapping"), but there's no resolution there. Regenerating the project does not help me.I've done some investigation, and the issue appears to be in TextArea::calculateBoundingBox. It correctly calculates the height of the bounding box, but the width is set to the first line of text only. If the second line is longer, it gets truncated when rendering.I've looked at the code in TextArea.cpp; specifically, this section (lines 266-277):do { wtis.getStringLengthForLine(lineHeight * 2 > widg

I want have a graph with 2 Y scale, in this case I have use 2 dynamic graph overlaped. When I run it with the demo board MB1332C (STM32H7B3I-DK), then the graph crashes with a hardfault exception. The design is like this:When I use 2 graphes without overlaping, ist works, without exception.TouchGFX version: 4.21.3.Please help me how I can do this or/and please fix this bug.Best Regards Markus.
i have tried by using touchGFX, when i press the "target run" it's showing failed, but when i do "Run simulator", There is no error in it.
My problem is. that "CUBE TouchGFX" is not installed. I have a Windows 11 system installed. The installation wizard says that my system is not modified. What should I do if "TouchGFX" doesn't work with Windows 11?
