Hello all,I am used to the regular MCUs STM32Fx families where I'm used that the main.h has all the #defines of the GPIOs and other peripherals.I'm now using STM32MP1 generating code for CM4 and noticed it is generate any #define information.also, it is not initializing GPIOs state. Why is it generating no initialization of GPIOs or other user label #defines?

I have rfid and can working. I want to do is increase the cycle time for can so it is not too fast. Right now i am getting 0.3 cycle time and when i add the HAL_Delay(200) it increases the cycle time but the rfid slows down. Any suggestions what i can do?What i want to do is send the rfid reading over the CAN when nfcv is detected if not detected then send zero's only.. When i add HAL_Delay(200) the entire system gets the delay i only want to add that to can transmission. Please guide me. I am very new to stm32

I'm trying to setup a CAN-FD example with data rate switching (1MHz nom, 8MHz data) on an STM32G0B1. It seems to work up to 4MHz, but when I decrease my divisor to get to 8MHz, the CAN frames just stop after the arbitration. Here's my init code that works for 4MHz data. If I change hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler to = 1, things break. hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_FD_BRS; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = ENABLE; hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = nom_divisor; hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 1; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 13; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg2 = 2; hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler = 2;//data_divisor; hfdcan1.Init.DataSyncJumpWidth = 1; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 6; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg2 = 1; hfdcan1.Init.StdFiltersNbr = 1; hfdcan1.Init.ExtFiltersNbr = 1; hfdcan1

Hi,Before my question, I am new to NFC designs.I want to test my first PCB design, I want it to work like an NTAG, and I want to be able to read and write on my PCB. For this first project, I don't need anything else.My idea is to use the ST25DV04K or similar with a chip antenna like the 2450AT18A100E, I would like to know how to connect the pads of these two, do I need any decoupling capacitors? The characteristics of the PCB would be around 1 or 1.5cm in diameter and 0.8mm or 1.6mm thick. My other question is, once the PCB is ready can I write straight away, or does it need to be programmed before?I repeat that for me this is new, if you have any idea where can I start, some course or info?Thank you.

I am surprised to see half of the MEMS sensor datasheet do not mention sensor resonant frequency. Sensor Noise values feel misleading as we have no clue what noise are we going to receive in our shipment. Also, noise levels are not documented well either. Is ST purposely misleading product designers into choosing their MEMS sensors?I am surprised how can one use a 2.4kHz resonant frequency sensor in industrial vibration sensing applications.

I am new beginner in stm32 and I am now working to work with my customer board with st25r3917b and I am now starting with the self test. I have checked that the st25r3916DisableInterrupts and st25r3916EnableInterrupts.Sometime it doesn't mask the register correctly. For example ,in the ST25R3916B test ,it is going to do trigger RC calibration by executing the command 0xEAU and inside the st25r3916ExecuteCommandAndGetResult it is supposed to enable ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_DCT by masking the Mask timer and NFC interrupt register to 0x80 but I read the Mask timer and NFC interrupt register after st25r3916EnableInterrupts( ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_DCT ) and it doesn't mask the Mask timer and NFC interrupt register correctly .May I ask how to solve this problem? Beside, I want to know the st25r3916DisableInterrupts () function will mask the register back to 0 according to the interrupt type ? Thanks alot.Best regards,Chan

I am flashing a developed code on a Nucleo F746ZG on STM Cube IDEThe board is taken from the "STM32 Nucleo Pack: LoRa LF band sensor and gataway"When I start the debug mode, this error message appears:Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target.I am using Ubuntu Linux 20.04

I have experience on using stm32f1 series. but now I need to work with stm32f334 and it looks very complicated!! where can I found a step by step guide to setup CubeIDE for stm32f334, especially to generate pwm using HRTIM?

What is the relation between advanced timers (Tim1, 8, 20) and HR Timer (Timer A to F) in STM32G474? How to interconnect advanced timers with HR timers? Any example?

Hi there,we are in the process of developing a product based on the STM32MP151F which will be USB powered (USB 2.0 device). We are aiming to have it connected to an eMMC for mass storage and we would like to achive the highest R/W speed which should be 200MB/sec using HS200.1) If my understanding is correct we cannot use the STM32MP157F-EV1 as starting point as the boards is using the STPMIC1A which regulates the eMMC VCCQ @3.3V and it incompatible with HS200, is it correct?2) Has the STM32MP151 ever been tested at HS200 speed with a commercially available eMMC? Is there e refence design that e can use as starting point?3) We have read the "2.3.19 DLYB limits SDMMC throughput" errata. Does it implies that HS200 is unusable? Or we can use it and it is just enough to disable the DLYB? If so why should we enable the DLYB in the first time?4) If we use the STPMIC1B which regulates VDD at 1.8V making it compatible with HS200, is there any drop in the MPU performances?5) Is there a refer

When attempting to program an STM32G0B1KB MCU (128kB of flash) with the latest version of STM32CubeProgrammer (2.13.0) the target information flash size says it only has 63kB of flash. This is not a valid flash size for this family of MCUs, and it does not allow the MCU to program if the flash size is greater than 63kB but less than the maximum 128kB.  When I revert to STM32CubeProgrammer v2.11.0 this is no longer an issue and the proper flash size is shown. All other variables (hardware, programmer) are the same.  This is a major problem and delayed our manufacturing by ~2 days as we thought we had more serious hardware problems. This problem does NOT exist for the STM32G0B1KE variant (512 kB).Thanks,Rob

Hi,I have a device that should normally be in Standby mode. Eventually it will need to wake up when a NFC tag is read, and then do some stuff (and retain the info of the tag).At the moment I got the STM32H7 to go to Standby mode, and is waking up thanks to a IRQ of the NFC reader via a wakeup pin (when approaching a tag). I see that when exiting Standby mode the uC reboots, and thanks to HAL_PWREx_GetWakeupFlag(PWR_WAKEUP_FLAG6), I'm aware that I'm waking up due to an interrupt from NFC.The problem is that, as we are rebooting, NFC gets initialized again and therefore we miss the information of the tag that caused the waking up. Is there any nice way to deal with this? like some function that forces the reading of last tag without needing too much context? At the moment I can only think of not doing NFC initialization again when coming from Standby. But this means that I need to go inside the fw to push some internal states of the NFC RFAL to be able to do a demoNdef(). This doesn't fe

Hi everybody,I'm using an STM8S003F3P6 on a custom board and a not original ST-Link V2 (which works fine), and I'm trying to set high the PB4 and PB5 pins. I don't know why, but it doesn't work as it should. I put my code down below.I also wrote another program which also sets high other two pins and it work perfectly fine. Seems that everything is working fine except those two pins. I've searched for my issue on this forum but I found no solution. The option bytes of the microcontroller are set as default. I also tried to write the code in Assembly but still doesn't work. I've also debugged my program using STVD. At the end of the program the Output Data Register is 0x30 which means that PB4 and PB5 should be high, but that's not true (the measured voltage is around 3mV above GND value). I tried on another STM8S003F3P6 on another board (which is the copy of the first one), but the problem still exists. Can someone help me?Thanks, Lorenzo#include "stm8s.h"   main() { GPIO_DeInit(

From this picture in application note looks like HP_REF_MODE  should not have any effect to the output data when purple path is selected. But in tests we see differences in output data with and without HP_REF_MODE set to 1.

I have seen the following options in the software in MCSDK  MCI_CMD_SETOPENLOOPCURRENT, /*!< set open loop current .*/ MCI_CMD_SETOPENLOOPVOLTAGE, /*!< set open loop voltage .*/in mc_interface.h file, but i don't see any source code related to them does MCSDK support open loop mode? I need them to rectify some of the hardware issues, before i run in closed loop with hall sensors. Please advise.

Using Keil V5, C program for stm32g0. Have tried to add include paths in Project.Options for target. C tab. include paths, for instance:C:/Users/ashto/STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.6.1/Drivers/CMSIS/Include;..\..\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.6.1\Drivers\STM32G0xx_HAL_Driver\Incbut GPIOInitStruct is undefined, interrupt request names, USART and Timer register names. Many errors. I must be making some simple, fundamental mistake.

I have a custom board with an STM32F417 MCU. It needs to communicate with a PC over Ethernet (UDP).I have used Cube MX 6.5.0 to set up my project and have enabled LWIP. The board is now sending/receiving UDP packets with the PC. However when the PC sends a UDP packet with a payload of 1007 bytes, the packet becomes truncated. Only 958 bytes of data appear in the pbuf in the udp_receive_callback . It appears that there is a problem reconstructing the packet payload from the pbuf chain. I am calling pbuf_copy_partial(p, buff, p->tot_len, 0) in the udp_receive_callback function. Any suggestions regarding this issue? Has anyone successfully received large UDP packets using a Cube MX 6.5.0 generated project? Thanks

STM32F407Usually the signal is taken from the PH1-OSC_OUT pin if it is a parallel resonant oscillator circuit. The signal for clocking the microcontroller is formed on the Crystal oscillator X2, fed to the microcontroller and amplified in the microcontroller. If so, why is PH0-OSC_IN also connected to the microcontroller? The MCO(PH0-OSC_IN) signal is needed only to generate a signal on the Crystal oscillator X2, why is this signal fed to the microcontroller? If you disable PH0-OSC_IN from the microcontroller, then the signal from the Crystal oscillator X2 will continue to be fed to the microcontroller via  PH1-OSC_OUT.Why is PH0-OSC_IN connected to the microcontroller then?

Than try to use this board with Debian Linux + Xorg happened strange behaviour: after one hour screen disabled forever. No any warnings or errors in dmesg. This issue reproduce on kernel from STLinux (5.15.67). Also these steps make same behaviour: echo 1 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank echo 0 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/blank

I first use the default RootCA1, device certificate and private key to configure, but it show the error:"WARN: setRTCTimeDateFromNetwork L#84 Could not find hostname ipaddr www.gan";Then I follow the readme, and use the"Amazon1_Usertrust_Baltimore.crt" as the device certificate(there are three certificates, I select one), but it still show the same error.
