Hey Guys, I downloaded STM32CubeMonitorPWR software for linux from officail site - link. After Downloading when i try to unzip the file it shows "There was an error while extracting the file." Can anyone help me with this.

Dear All,we are developing a prototype board based on ST25R3911B_NFC05A1 evauation board and we have 3 questions:1) What is the NFC forum matching circuit? Does it have any constraints in the layout?2) Can moving the antenna feed up by 10-15mm (see below image) be a problem for antenna performance?3) Does supplying ST25R3911b VDD with 3.3V instead of 5V reduce reading/writing distance? With the demo (supplied at 5V) we can achieve 4-5cm and we should maintain that distance with 3.3V supply.Thank you very much for your support.Best regards,

Hello friends, I am starting to use "CubeMX", I want to configure memory, static RAM and LCD. But I'm having trouble figuring out how to configure these peripherals, do you have a guide to configure this peripheral and CubeMX?Thanks!

Looking in the example code for the lsm303agr I noticed a function:  /** * @brief Enables the magnetometer temperature compensation.[set] * * @PAram ctx Read / write interface definitions.(ptr) * @PAram val Change the values of comp_temp_en in reg CFG_REG_A_M * @retval Interface status (MANDATORY: return 0 -> no Error). * */ int32_t lsm303agr_mag_offset_temp_comp_set(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t val) { lsm303agr_cfg_reg_a_m_t cfg_reg_a_m; int32_t ret; ret = lsm303agr_read_reg(ctx, LSM303AGR_CFG_REG_A_M, (uint8_t *)&cfg_reg_a_m, 1); if (ret == 0) { cfg_reg_a_m.comp_temp_en = (uint8_t)val; ret = lsm303agr_write_reg(ctx, LSM303AGR_CFG_REG_A_M, (uint8_t *)&cfg_reg_a_m, 1); } return ret; }  I cannot find what this register does other then activate or deactivate a temperature offset.How does this register work and what does activating do? With kind regards,Egbert

Hello,I have a problem with the Controller. For some time the Uart is working fine. Than the UART receive Interrupt is not generated anymore.I check the working pcb with the debugger and the scope. I see there is no Signal on the pin. The uart from the controller is connected to my PC with  H11L1 opto Isolator in the RX and TX line. So I check the Isolator and see a signal on the LED of the Isolator. The PC send out data but the signal ends on the isolator. So I tried the Isolator on a reference board and everything works fine. I take a other Isolator and test it with my reference board it works also.Both isolators give me the same result on my working pcb. It looks like the pin PB10 is internally connected to 3,3V and always high.I do a little experiment and take a wire with GND signal and touch the output of the isolator with this. The Debugger shows me an RX interrupt, the moment I pull down the pin. The internal Pull Up where checked, also the alternativ function register

I just did a search with "touchgfx language custom container" because text language will not change inside custom containers on the current screen when calling Texts::setLanguage()*. The search engine isn't aware of the existance of TouchGFX and replaces it:Edit:* my fault, I use txtLabel.setWildcard(TypedText(id).getText() in the Containers and then there is of course no language information left

Curious if anyone else encountered this: I work on a design using STM32H743XI silicon Y and DBGMCU seems to be completely dead. Reading any register returns 0 (so no REV_ID/DEV_ID). Writing to get 'timer freeze on debug' does not work either and reading back the written registers returns 0's.The Errata does not mention anything like that.I am aware that the Debugger is supposed to see DBGMCU at 0xE00E1000 and the CPU at 0x5C001000, but neither works.Am I missing something ? - there is no RCC clock enabling for this class of MCUs... ; the ref manual lists DBGMCU->CR bits D1DBGCKEN and D3DBGCKEN, which are not dealt with in the standard HAL, but again trying to set them and re-read, I get back 0's...Thanks.

Hi, I'm researching how the STM32F407VGT6 SPI works, and I came across this access denied warning, but the original messages don't seem to have sensitive content, is there a problem on the Forum that causes this?https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/stm32h7xx-spi-tx-with-dma-hal-spi-txcpltcallback-is-called-only/m-p/293657/thread-id/4797Cache save from original post:"I'm usign my board with STM32H743 and STM32CubeMX with Eclipse toolchain. The code generated calls the HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback only with DMA in circular mode""but I need to call this callback with a normal DMA transfer (not circular). In the past I've used STM32L443 and the code generated by CubeMX was calling HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback at the end of SPI_DMATransmitCplt function with any DMA transfer type. Is there some reasons for this difference in STM32H7xx DMA ? If not, is this a bug ?"https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:NRGW7IIrE0AJ:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W000005771OSAQ/stm32h7xx-spi-tx-

Hi, I'm developing a product using the STM32G030C8T6. I set the I2C using the STM32CubeMX (settings attached) and used the functions supplied by the LL library. The I2C is set as Master and I only have one Master and one Slave on the bus. I manage to transmit and receive but sometimes, one of the clock pulses have a much shorter period which is causing Arbitration or Bus errors. I attached an image showing what I described. Does anyone has an explanation of why this could happen?Thanks

I am trying to use the DAC feature of Nucleo-H503.Pinned the cube MX and wrote the code.However, the program does not work after entering the MX_DAC1_Init() function, created by Cube MX.I checked in debug mode and found an error in the syntax below.///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_DAC_ConfigChannel(DAC_HandleTypeDef *hdac,const DAC_ChannelConfTypeDef *sConfig, uint32_t Channel){....#if !defined(TIM8)/* Devices STM32H503xx *//* On STM32H503EB (package WLCSP25) DAC channel 1 connection to GPIO is not available and should not be configured.Package information is stored at the address PACKAGE_BASE, WLCSP25 correspond to the value 0xF (For moreinformation, please refer to the Reference Manual) */const __IO uint16_t *tmp_package = (uint16_t *)PACKAGE_BASE;if ((*(tmp_package) & 0x1FUL) == 0x0FUL)         /// ERROR ///{if ((Channel == DAC_CHANNEL_1)&& ((sConfig->DAC_ConnectOnChip

I’m a tech journalist and I’m doing a little feature on NFC. What I need is an NFC wristband that isn’t just passive.What I’m after is an wristband that could be tapped to other NFC wristbands (the same models) to exchange some basic info (a line of text maybe) that could then be 'stored' (either using an NFC SoC with memory capacity / or additional memory) and then 'transferred' to a smartphone at a later time to be decoded.I understand there may need to be a power cell for this, I was hoping a coin battery to keep costs / size to a minimum.These wristbands would also, ideally, be able to tap against passive NFC stickers and tags to also receive and store info.Is that possible? I hope that all makes sense?

Hello.I am considering a project to exchange a small amount of text data using only an STM32G0 microcontroller and a USB memory stick.As a candidate, I found the following microcontroller which supports USB2.0 FS device and host controller.STM32G0B0VESTM32G0B0REI am aware that the only difference between them is the number of pins.So I have a question.If the microcontroller is the host controller side of MSC and the USB memory is the device controller side, is it correct that the microcontroller can read and write text data to the USB memory?

I have stm32h745i-disco for my project and use PA0_C and PC_3 for output. and when i use usual HAL_GPIO_WritePin() it is not working. Should i change something to make it work? Please help

I have stm32f407vgt6 from devebox. At first, I wanted to do led blink and it worked fine when I supplied it with external power via 5V pins. Then, when I tried to use UART pin (PA_9, PA_10) to print something to USB to TTL module, it did nothing. UART pins only work when I connected micro USB on stm32f407vgt6. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Greetings,I'm struggling to get GPIO configuration to work without hitting the HardFault_Handler.  If I configure a single GPIO, like this:__HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE();GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_7;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct);HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_7, GPIO_PIN_RESET);There is no issue;  I can toggle the GPIO at-will inside a loop.However, if I add more GPIO pins to the setup, I end up landing in a fault handler:__HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE();GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = CTRL18_Pin | CTRL19_Pin | CTRL20_Pin | CTRL21_Pin| CTRL22_Pin | HEARTBEAT_Pin | PUMP_1_Pin | PUMP_2_Pin| CTRL_35_Pin | CTRL_36_Pin | CTRL_37_Pin | CTRL_38_Pin| CTRL_39_Pin | CTRL_40_Pin | NC6_Pin | M2_ADC_CTRL_Pin;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;HAL_GPIO_Init(GPI

Hi,      I am having trouble getting the Timer to trigger a DMA -> SPI operation. Namely, I want to set the timer up to run,. Then, get every overflow event to trigger the DMA to move a byte into the SPI. The SPI should auto-send. Then, the cycle repeats until the DMA has moved a N-bytes. I am feeling really blind, because I cannot figure out the problem. At first, I was trying to find the right setting to get the Timer to trigger a DMA request upon UEV generation. However, I could not find such a feature. So instead, I setup DMA1 Channel 3. TIM6 should map to this DMA. Then I setup TIM6 to generate a UEV upon Overflow (URS = 1, UDIS = 0). Finally, I setup TIM6 to generate a DMA request upon update (UDE = 1). Still nothing. Can I get some input?   --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What I am trying to do may not be possible in the way that I though

I've been writing apps using the STM HAL drivers for a while.  I'd like to move to the low level drivers in order to have a better understanding of what's happening in my app.  Comms over a UART with DMA is a critical part of most of my apps so I'm starting with that in a simple loop back configuration (TX connected to RX).  It seems like using CubeMX to generate the startup code is a good place to start.  And I add the code required to do what I need.  I've been able to get the TX part of simple UART app working. I've got a logic analyzer hooked up to TX and I see the message I'm sending show up when I expect it.  In addition if I put breakpoints in the TX callbacks, I can see the program get to the callbacks. Unfortunately, nothing seems to be happening on the RX side.  The app doesn't get to the breakpoints in the RX callbacks and the rxBuffer doesn't get any data.  I'd appreciate any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong. The main.c file is

Dumb question, can the DMA perform separate, parallel operations with the different channels? For example, could I use the DMA to transmit with the UART and the SPI devices at the same time without one interrupting the other? I'm unclear from reading through the DMA datasheet whether its possible to have parallel operations or whether the DMA controller only lines up and allows one at a time. Provided those operations don't conflict by needing to access the same resources, of course.

Hi All,I have two Questions,The first one is:I was trying to use one of the SPI examples provided by ST SDK, but the "STM32L476G-EVAL" target doesn't have an SPI example, so I used the NUCLEO-L476RG SPI_FullDuplex_ComDMA example as a reference.I was trying to use the SPI1 with DMA1, but the code got stuck after calling "HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA", And when I used a logic analyzer, I saw the transaction was done successfully. The second question is:I used two DMA1 channels for tx and rx, used channel 3 for TX and channel 2 for RX, like the "SPI_FullDuplex_ComDMA" example; as I said before, the code got stuck after sending the first transaction, but when I used another channel for TX, The transaction didn't occur.So, Is there something I'm missing? Must SPI1 work with DMA1channel3, and if so, Why did the code get stuck after the first transaction?

Can anyone please suggest a simple RFID/NFC tag to monitore & read sensor data using STM32 Nucleo board?

I experience a strange problem with I2C, DMA and the latest STM32U575ZI-Q, not seen on L4 and H7 MCUs.After a successful data transfer from SMBus target (slave) to controller (host) the last PEC byte stays in RXDR registry. On the next transfer in the same direction this last PEC byte is read by DMA and placed in the allocated memory buffer as the first received byte. Interestingly, I2C interface does not seem to use this byte calculating PEC CRC so PEC error is not triggered at the end of the second transfer, just bytes in the receive buffer are offset by one. Explicitly reading RXDR register before transfer does not help. This may be a show stopper. I found no workaround and this problem may practically prevent the use of SMBus with DMA on STM32U5.I have not seen this problem on other MPUs, however, they have other I2C issues I have described recently - see: Missing STOP condition problemI2C, Incorrect PEC byte value after RESTART condition - hardwa

I'm having problems getting my software to work with FDCAN2 on the STM32G474e-EVAL board. It works with FDCAN1, but w/ FDCAN2, messages accumulate in the Tx buffer until I get buffer fill errors.I built the FDCAN_Com_IT example from the latest STM32GCube firmware bundle and it fails in the exact same manner. Board is terminated correctly and I believe the CAN pins are wired to each other correctly. What could be going wrong here? Thanks. -es

LSM9DS1 provides 3 orientation registers (ORIENT_CFG_G), but I need Euler angles instead and conversion algorithms require four orientation values. Could you help?

Hi @all,we have an application, where we use the LSE. In due to weaknesses of the part we use, the LSE can fail sometimes.If I then use the __HAL_RCC_BACKUPRESET_FORCE() and __HAL_RCC_BACKUPRESET_RELEASE() to reset the LSE and LSI system, also the SRAM2 section is deleted.I don't understand why.From the reference manual Rev.04 page 481 chapter 11.3.3 Backup domain reset it says: "A backup domain reset affects the LSE oscillator, the RTC, the TAMP, the backup registers, RCC_BDCR, and PWR_BDCR1. The reset of PWR_BDCR1 affects the backup SRAM."The backup SRAM for me is only the BKPSRAM, or not? Also that sentence misses the LSI, if used. The tamper unit is not configured and not used at all. We have a STM32U575CIU6 Rev. X. I also did not found something within the errata sheet. Did I overlook something? Does anyone has a tip for me? Is there a configuration/register/bit I miss which gives the information if the SRAM2 shall be erased with a backup do

I 'm displaying a clock on my STM32F746 disco board and I run into a weird behavior that I can not explain. But I'm new to STM32. I have the RTC initialized to 10 hours, 1 minute and 50 seconds in BCD format. The seconds set to 50 is so I only wait 10s for the display to update after flashing the board. The RTC alarm A is set for every 60s. The alarm A callback function is called which notifies a task to run and update the time which in turn is passed to setTimeDate nTimeDate argument.The view class (shown below) uptades the display. The hours, minutes, AM and PM are textboxes. Hours and minutes have each a wildcard. AM/PM don't have a wild card. The colons between the hours and minutes is a picture.The default value after flashing in the display is 00:00 and both AM and PM are shown. After the 10s the clock shows the correct time (10:02 AM) but after that the PM shows up on every odd minute (see picture). Could someone point out what I'm doing wrong? Thanks. void principalScreenV
