Hello everyone. I installed STM32CUBEMX and STM32CUBEIDE on my Windows 11 and use them so as to get updates from STM32CUBEIDE but I can not update STM32CUBEMX : on the home page of CUBEMX when I click on "CHECK UPDATES" opens the window "Check Updates Manager" but when I click on the available version (MX.6.9.1) is not selected so I can not press the "Install" button but only "Update" or "Close.I already had this situation for the previous version (6.9.0).Thank you for your help in advancePs. Hello Team,I have imported the Flash_EraseProgram from the github about nucleo-L412RB:https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeL4/blob/master/Projects/NUCLEO-L412RB-P/Examples/FLASH I have modified the code, in order to store 6 double values at flash memory and also Ι have created a simple function that read the values from the memory.When the values are uint64_t without fractional part I can write the memory successfully(MemoryPrograamStatus ==0) and I can read them correctly.When I try to store double words with fractional part, MemoryProgramSatus isn't 0, which means that the memory is not be writed correctly, and also I cannnot read back the values correctly.I attach the code and what I can see at the memory and the buffers.Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone !  I am new to the ST Community, so please forgive me in advance if my request lacks clarity or information. I am facing an issue: I want to store a data in my memory that will be updated approximately every second or a bit more, that will be determined later. To achieve this, I am using the following function:void WriteDataToFlash(uint32_t data) { HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); FLASH_Erase_Sector(FLASH_SECTOR_7, VOLTAGE_RANGE_3); HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_WORD, FLASH_USER_START_ADDR, data); HAL_FLASH_Lock(); }It works very well, my values change as I want them to. However, the problem I am encountering is that when I turn off my board and turn it back on, or even when I debug it, my memory seems to reset, even though I don't have a function that would cause my memory to reset. I believe there's something I'm missing, and since I'm new to working with memories, I'm having trouble identifying my mistake. Just to let you know, I am coding on an STM32F439VIT6

hi all, I don't know if I'm going off topic. But we don't get any news about this processor from the official distributors. Our company has developed a new project using this processor. The problem is that it cannot be found at official distributors and there is no certain information on which it will be available. which one can't be found? What are the times to be able to find it? Isn't it that it will be decommissioned? thanks in advance I don't know if I'm going off topic. But we don't get any news about this processor from the official distributors. Hello my friends, why is not generated setup from CubeMx for my Keil, why is distinguish setup ?

I would like to display the received SPI data on a scroll list container from TouchGFX. But the thing is, data are coming in at high rate, around 10,000 times in a second and each of these data need to be display on reach row of the table.Is there a way to make an infinitely long table in Touchgfx? And also how do I make the table scrolls down automatically as data are coming?

Hi, I want to transfer 64kByte of data from memory to my display controller using SPI and DMA.Everything is working smoothly so far, but I have some problems of understanding, when I try to use the max. number of bytes.So: 64kByte = 65536 Bytes.But the SPI_CR2 Register ist 16bit, so takes only 65535 as Maximum number.Also the RM states for the DMA:"The amount of data to be transferred (up to 65535) is programmable and related to thesource..."The HAL function is also taking a uint16_t for the sizeHAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi, const uint8_t *pData, uint16_t Size)and treats a size of 0 as an error.So it looks like the number of bytes that can be transferred is 1.. 65535, wich is in fact 64kByte -1 Byte.That means I cannot send my memory buffer with full 64kByte in one transfer.Any hint on how to set this up to transfer 65536 bytes would be appreciated, or the info confirmation, that this is not possible.Stefan

Hi,I have a situation where I can successfully program the target using STM32CubeProgrammer, but it fails when I try to do the same with STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe with an error:Error: failed to erase memoryBoth are v2.13.0.The command line I used:STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -d "firmware.bin" 0x08000000 -vb 3Attached are the verbose level 3 output from each. I am attempting to figure out why STM32CubeIDE fails to download code for debug. It also encounters the same failed to erase memory error. Appreciate any help anyone can give me. Thanks.

Hello,I'm working with ST25R3911B and in my application i want to control the field strengh.I relied on the documentation at this chapter : 1.3.40 RFO normal level definition register page 80 in the Datasheet - ST25R3911B - High performance HF reader / NFC initiator with 1.4 W supporting VHBR and AATAnd, if i understand well if i write 0x00 in the 0x27 register it will enable all Ohms segments, it will make 510 ohms.If i write 0x01 510-256=254 right ?But when I test my application with a field detectorit it doesn't seem to react as expected. Am I doing something wrong ?Best regards,Yvan

Hi Everyone, Below Linux driver for LSM6DSL device has no method to read the temperature sensor. https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/latest/source/drivers/iio/imu/st_lsm6dsxIs there a complete Linux driver which reads the temperature as well?thanks,

Hi ,I am using HRTIM of STM32G4 (up-down mode, Complementary PWM).I am confused by what the reference manulal says.In RM0440 Rev 7 p.874,  the compare values is limited to within 3 periods of the fHRTIM clock below the period value.However, the compare value is limited to within 6 periods in the example.・Prescaling ratio is 32 at CKPSC=0・0xC0/32 = 6Which limit is correct, 3 or 6 periods?

Hi,I am trying to port the rfal library for an ST25R3916. I have defined all mandatory pins, ports and interfaces which RFAL requires in the help documentation.I have read that  ST25R_SELFTEST and ST25R_SELFTEST_TIMER are a good way to find the issues with the integration of RFAL library to my project.When I enable the above flags, I can see that the ST25R_SELFTEST is passed correctly without any error, but for ST25R_SELFTEST_TIMER it fails in st25r3916WaitForInterruptsTimed function:   /****************************************************************************** * Check SW timer operation : * - use the General Purpose timer to measure an amount of time * - test whether an interrupt is seen when less time was given * - test whether an interrupt is seen when sufficient time was given */ st25r3916EnableInterrupts( ST25R3916_IRQ_MASK_GPE ); st25r3916SetStartGPTimer( (uint16_t)ST25R3916_TEST_TMR_TOUT_8FC, ST25R3916_REG_TIMER_EMV_CONTROL_gptc_no_trigger); uin

Hello everyone,I have designed a custom PCB with STM32WB15CC. I am using two sensors (VL53L1X and MPU6050). I am using CR2032 coin cell as a supply and I have big problems with the battery management. The project example is using sequencer and what I want to do is to take a single shot measurement with the VL53L1X sensor and then put the device to sleep until a wakeup command is received via bluetooth characteristics. What is the best way to implement this behavior when using sequencer? The program behaves as expected when testing on NUCLEO-WB15CC. I first initialize the sensors and then use timer to trigger a function which returns accelerometer values. Then I check if I receive desired threshold values to call VL53L1X measurement. This is implemented in p2p_server_app.c. I would like to call the most convenient function to save power while keeping bluetooth connection alive since I want to wake up the device and do the same steps again when I send a command. Please see atta

Hello, after selecting the .elf file I get hundred of messages of this type:GDB Cmd [print /x & arm_cfft_sR_f32_len128.pTwiddle] failedError: Address of symbol "arm_cfft_sR_f32_len128" is unknownand similar, all related to CMSIS.After I ack all of these errors the import restarts with the same errors, only way out is by killing the program via process manager.All OK when variable addresses taken from .map are inserted, big pain but OK.What can be done?I'm aware of STMCubeMonitor, tried it but it looks like it's a joke, or at least not what I need. I just need a scope and a table to read and write variables. AFAIK CubeMonitor does not even have vertical scale adjust, just to mention the first showstopper.I'm shure that 99% of people share my needs. BTW STMCubeMonitor could conveniently be replaced with a binding to Python or whatever, then everybody chooses his own gui, framework etc.

Hi there,I would appreciate support in CubeMX for FreeRTOS for STM32U5-series. Currently I cannot find out how to configure this via the tool.FreeRTOS.org recently released a demo for IoT Reference Integration, running on an STM32U5. My old code is written and tested for using FreeRTOS, now we have to use the STM32U5-series, because older µC-series were not available.Is the porting already planned and if yes, when do you plan the release?Thanks for your answer ind advance.Best regards,K.

Hi,I have a problem after jump from application to my custom Bootloader.This the micro code: STM32G071KBU3.I correctly jump from application to Bootloader, but after the jump I don't get anymore interrupt from tick.I add an information: if I run directly the Bootloader from debug I correctly get interrupt from tick.Here the code I use for the jump. static void JumpToBootloader(void){uint32_t jumpAddr;void        (*jumpFunc)(void); /* si imposta il puntatore a funzione utilizzato per il jump */jumpAddr = *(__IO uint32_t*) (BOOTL_START_ADDR + 4);jumpFunc = (void (*)(void)) jumpAddr;     /* Initialize user application's Stack Pointer */    __set_MSP((*(__IO uint32_t*) BOOTL_START_ADDR )); // si salta al Bootloader    jumpFunc();}

HelloI attempted to link my STM32 project with GitHub, following the guideHow to use Github with STM32cubeIDE in 2023 - Shady ElectronicsI managed to complete all the steps, but for some reason, I couldn't push my project to the repository.Initially, I decided to continue without syncing it to GitHub. However, I soon noticed that my entire project has vanished from its folder on my computer.When I open STM32CubeIDE, I can still access the project, as illustrated here:Yet, when I navigate to the 'stm_projects' directory on my PC (where STM32CubeIDE indicates it should be), the project is missing:As evident, only the 'stm32wb5' project is present, which is also visible in the previous image.When I attempt to compile and debug, an error message from Reset_Handler() states "source file not found". Surprisingly, it still compiles and operates without issues.Moreover, the GitHub repository I intended to push to doesn't show any record of the project. I even searched my PC for unique files fr

I'm looking for M7 core in UFBGA169 Package with 3 ADC units.According to "Analog" part of table devices like H747AI, H753AI, H757AI have no ADC!The same problem exists in Cube Target selector: when I move "ADC Total (converters) to "1" or more, then STM757AI disappears from results.According to Reference Manual RM0399 Rev 3, there are 3 ADC instances.My dear ST, dont you want to sell them?

I'm testing i2c4 on STM32H750B-DK board with DS3231 but I think that i2c4 peripheral is not worked as i expected.1. CubeMX settings - Only set SYS, RCC(HSE-Crsystal/Ceramic Resonator), USART3(115200 bps), I2C4(PD12: I2C4_SCL, PD13: I2C4_SDA)) after clear pinouts2. CubeIDE- After generating project from CubeMX, I worte below test code in main.cuint8_t data; uint16_t addr; HAL_StatusTypeDef err; printf("I2C bus Scanning...\r\n"); printf("==========================================================================\r\n"); for(addr = 0; addr < 0x80; addr++) { printf("%02X", addr); err = HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c4, addr, 3, 100); if(err == HAL_OK) { printf(":found", addr); }else { printf(":%d", err); } printf( (addr%8)==7 ? "\r\n":" "); }the result looks like abonamal. because DS3231 slave address is 0x57 but not found. and too many devices are detected. As i know Only 2 devices used i2c interface on this board.==============================================

I am working to get one F767ZI board (master) to send 1 byte to a second F767ZI (slave).  I'm using 4k external pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL.  I am trapping errors in the master and they are:After the following code on the master I get "Error 32".ret = HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c1, 30,1, 1000);if ( ret != HAL_OK) {  uint32_t error_code = HAL_I2C_GetError(&hi2c1);   printf("Error %d\r\n", error_code);  }  Then, after the following code on the master I get "Error 4".ret = HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit(&hi2c1, 30, TX_Buffer, 1, 1000); //up to 1 second to try and sendif ( ret != HAL_OK) { uint32_t error_code = HAL_I2C_GetError(&hi2c1);  printf("Error %d\r\n", error_code); }Since this is my first time ever trying I2C, I'm sure I'm addressing something wrong or some other simple error.I can't find anything in the HAL/LL reference to tell me what those error codes mean.thank you, russp.s.  My master F767 spits prin

HelloI am using NUCLEO-F746ZG. SPI1 and ETH are set with CubeMX and programmed with EWARM.SPI1 will not work if there is an ETH setting ”MX_ETH_Init();”. Do you know the reason?

Is there a way to view only posts which have no replies?The old site allowed this. The functionality is helpful to prevent posts falling through the cracks. Currently, if a post is 2 days old and is unanswered, it's really hard to find it. Right now, I know there is a post I want to reply to, but it's quite a chore to go back and find it given the sparse layout, so I just gave up.If I'm gone for a few days or months, I pretty much ignore posts which have already been replied to, but will look through unanswered ones.Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see it in the options anywhere.

Hello there.In my project, I am using LWIP with FreeRTOS at CMSISv1 and static memory allocation (configSUPPORT_STATIC_ALLOCATION = 1, configSUPPORT_DYNAMIC_ALLOCATION = 0). Is this a supported configuration? When I generate code, LWIP/Target/ethernetif.c:low_level_init contains calls to xSemaphoreCreateBinary(), which is defined only when dynamic allocation is enabled. Is this a known bug? If so, what is a workaround that I can use? Buildable code would have calls to xSemaphoreCreateBinaryStatic() instead. Right now, I am unable to fix the code in such a way that the changes will not be wiped out by the next CubeMX code generation, as the code is not within a USER CODE section. For reference, I am using a STM32H743BITx MCU, V1.10 firmware package and STM32CubeMX version 6.6.1. If this is an issue that has been resolved in a higher version, please let me know.Thank you!
