Hi everyone,The MCU on my custom board is an STM32U585. I put RDP mode to 0.5 in order to debug the product application with CubeIDE (our custom bootloader is in secure world).RDP regression to level 0.5 works fine (non-secure memory is fully erased (and not write protect) and RDP byte value is 0x55), I can read internal flash on non-secured address but I can't write nothing inside non secure memory (using CubeProgrammer v2.15.0 I try both to write single byte and write a binary in Reliable an Fast connection mode). I can only connect the stlink probe in "hot Plug" Mode. In all other mode I’ve got the error message: “DEV_TARGER_NOT_HALTED).Can someone help me? ThanksHave a good day.GRANGE AurélienPS : I can't sned the source code of secure part.

Hi,I'm developing firmware for embedded with NFC chip ST25DV04KC.During the debugging process, the chip stopped responding to the default address 0xA6/0xAE. How can I reset the chip to factory settings? Thanks!

Hi,I configured the TIM17 as "Output Compare CH1 CH1N" with "Toggle on Match mode". The CH1 signal is correct but there is no CH1N output at all. The source codes are listed below. Any comment? Thanks.The initialization call:if(HAL_TIM_OC_Start_IT(&htim17, TIM_CHANNEL_1) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}and the Init function:static void MX_TIM17_Init(void){TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};TIM_BreakDeadTimeConfigTypeDef sBreakDeadTimeConfig = {0}; htim17.Instance = TIM17;htim17.Init.Prescaler = 1;htim17.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP;htim17.Init.Period = Beacon_TIM17_Period_value;htim17.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1;htim17.Init.RepetitionCounter = 0;htim17.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE;if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim17) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}if (HAL_TIM_OC_Init(&htim17) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}sConfigOC.OCMode = TIM_OCMODE_TOGGLE;sConfigOC.Pulse = 0;sConfigOC.OCPolarity = TIM_OCPOLARITY_HIGH;sConfigOC.OCNPolarity = TIM_O

Hallo there,I use HRTIM_MASTER to retrigger HRTIM A,B;C and to trigger ADC. This works fine. Each of slave timers generate PWM signals. I works also good.As the data from ADC is ready I do recalculation of PWM duty for all 3 channels. And there is an issue.Shadow registry and update on counter reset (bit TxRSTU) should be executed only if all three values are ready. Sometimes I get faulty PWM because third PWM value is not recalculated but gets updated together with first already calculated duty for A and B.How can I implement double condition of shadow update: once as all 3 dury are new calculated and on counter reload (to keep PWM cycle consistency).

Hello, I'm building a project where I will use CAN, UART and a TIMER. All of these work with an interrupt. How it works: I get data via CAN and use a TIMER to send a Request on the CANbus. With the UART I need to receive some commands that will trigger some functions. I have provided my code. In this code everything is working except for the UART interrupt. I had a different project with UART where everything was in the main, so I copied that to see if that is working, but it doesn't work. The UART interrupt is not getting triggered, but in the separate project it is working where I only use UART. What is wrong?  /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms t

Hi, I have STM32F103 and STM32F411. I have successfully made HID mouse on STM32F103, but when I try to make the same on STM32F411, the mouse does not work: "(Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed".What could be the problem? The code/configuration is simple I just enable:Connectivity -> USB_OTG_FS -> Mode: Device_OnlyMiddleware -> USB_DEVICE ->  Class for FS IP: Human Interface Device class (HID)Everything else is kept default. Is this because STM32F103 has micro USB and STM32F411 has type-c? Does type-c need additional settings which I am missing?

HOW to interface LT8491 BUCK boost converter module  with STM32F103RCt6tr board with i2c protocol and give detailed explanation and if posiible give an example code

Hi everyone,I am currently trying to create a library from STM32 Hal driver (Name of this project is Nucleol073rzHalTest).The aim for this library is to contain all pin configuration to be used in other projetcs. For this I simply create a stm32 executable project with the desire board/micro and configure pin.I then convert this project to library (by changing the type of project from "Executable" to "Static Library' and the output file extension from "elf" to "a"),and call the function "main_app" in the main in order I call define it in other projects.(I keep the .IOS file in order to modify at demand the pin configuration, but delete .ld and .s files which will depend on executable project)I then create another stm32 project (or simple C/C++ project) executable project which will use this library (Name of this project is SandboxHal or SandBoxHalTest for the simple C/C++ project).I add the path to search the library, and necessary header files from the library.I delete the ioc file, so

Suggest a cam module suitable for stm32h743 Nucleo board, and I want a to monitor my motors and workspace, suggest me a suitable display. I am working on a project that pick and place objects by detecting them using computer vision. It will be helpful to me if you suggest me about components.

Hi All,I am trying to demodulate the signal of ISO14443A&B using ST25R3911B. In the case of Type B, I was able to receive data well by setting the type setting and Bitrate, specifying the preset with a direct command, and then setting the unmask. However, in the case of Type A, I checked while changing several registries, but the FIFO data was empty. By capturing the waveform directly with the analog pin, I was able to confirm that the data was coming out well.So I think it's a registry setting issue, so please let me know if there is anything I need to check regarding this.

Hello, my device will work in a car and I need to arrange power for the RTC. Is the H750 processor used, is the diagram in the screenshot suitable or are there better technological solutions?

Hi,I'm using an X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 board with an nRF52840DK. I'm running my own driver on Zephyr and I'm able to read tags by polling. I plan to set the chip in the tag detector WFE so that once a tag is detected, it can wake up the host to handle the tag.The problem is it always returns immediately after I send the Idle command even if there are no tags. Here's the command to put in the WFE tag detector state:{IDLE_CMD, 0x0e, 0x02, 0x21, 0x00, 0x38, 0x01, 0x18, 0x00, 0x20, 0x60, 0x60, 0x64, 0x74, 0x3f, 0x08},The response is {0x0, 0x1, 0x2} which means tag detected. I know the tag calibration procedure is needed, but my calibration command got no response, the IRQ_OUT interrupt was never generated. Here's the command for tag calibration:{IDLE_CMD,  0x0e,  0x03, 0xa1, 0x00, 0xf8, 0x01, 0x18, 0x00, 0x20, 0x60, 0x60, 0x00, 0x00, 0x3f, 0x01}. So I decided to go through all the DacData from (0x04, 0x14) to (0xe4, 0xf4) in the command of entering WFE

I bought a Stm32f407vet6 board yesterday and wanted to run ardupilot firmware on it. So I tried to put firmware in DFU mode by putting boot0 pin high and boot1 pin low, but for some reason I was not able to do that (my mistake). Then I tried to put that firmware by the stm32cube programmer, and I was able to put the firmware, but it was not working properly, so I did a full chip erase by stm programmer. Now my laptop is not recognizing my stmboard, and I think I erased my default bootloader also. Can you guys help me to know how I can restore it to its default state (factory setting)? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to change a preprocessor value when building a project through the command line headless build.I can add a value through the command line using -D MY_VAL=10 which works fine if that value has not previously been defined. But I would like to have a default value defined in the IDE and then optionally overwrite it when using the command line. Setting a value in "Project Properties > C/C++ Build > settings > GCC Compiler > preprocessor" means that value will be used and the value from the command line headless build will be ignored. Is there a way to have a default value and overwrite it through the command line? Thanks,

I have a setup which reads data from 4 step-motors and some sensors over ADC1(CH0, CH1, CH2, CH3), and ADC2(CH0, CH1). The system executes continuous ADC conversions in DMA Mode in the following way:- In the while-loop in the main function, it reads the actual position of the motors and the data of the sensors.- The TIM3, which is configured to execute in an interval of 20ms, is responsible for controlling the motors. The issue that I am facing is that both ADCs stop reading a few minutes after starting, and no data in the register DR is available, it just freezes, first one ADC then the other one, sometimes ADC1 freezes first, other ADC2. I have checked both ADCs Overflow flags & DMA Transfer error flags, but they indicate no error. I thought some race conditions could be happening due to TIM3, so I have commented out its initialization, but even though the same issue persisted.  I am using the STM32F303VETMicrosoft Visual Studio Professional 201

Hello!I have a project that is not mine that have a pair of files called stm32h7xx_hal_timebase_tim.c and stm32h7xx_hal_tim.h. In the .c TIM8 appears but when i configure it in the MX for example like this:Anyone knows how to make these files using MX? thank you so much

Hi, engineers of ST company. I want to consult you a problem about generating code for 'SysTick clock source'.Let us look at the first picture from documentation PM0215  page 63, there introduces the function of 'SysTick control and status register', and says that the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit(bit 2) is to select the clock source for SysTick. Then let us look at the second screenshot from STM32CubeMX-6.1.2, the red highlight rectangle part is used to let us configure which clock source to be used for SysTick, HCLK(HCLK/1) or HCLK/8.Combine the above two picture, I think if we choose to use HCLK(HCLK/1) for SysTick, then the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit from 'SysTick control and status register' will be set to 1, and if we choose to use HCLK/8 for SysTick, then the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit from 'SysTick control and status register' will be set to 0.If my understanding is correct, then the function of STM32CubeMX to produce code for the 'CLOCKSOURCE' bit might be wrong. Because whether I choose HCLK

Hi Helpdesk, I am currently facing an ASSERT issue on my custom board leveraging the STM32WB55 in conjunction with FreeRTOS. After some time scrawling the web, I have found the stack unwind functionality from `libunwind` available via the `unwind.h` file from the compiler. This would be a perfect fit for me, because it would allow to unwind the stack and provide vital information to trace the root cause.Unfortunately, the function never calls the trace function, even though it compiles and "runs" successfully. Here is my code:#include "unwind.h"_Unwind_Reason_Code trace_func(struct _Unwind_Context *context, void *arg){  void *ip = (void *)_Unwind_GetIP(context);  debug("Current ip: %p", ip);  return _URC_NO_REASON;}... some function{  _Unwind_Reason_Code ret = _Unwind_Backtrace((_Unwind_Trace_Fn)&trace_func, NULL);  debug("_Unwind_Reason_Code: %d", ret); // always returns 9 = _URC_FAILURE} If I step through the program via a STMLink, I can se

Hi! Is there a way to run unit tests automatically on the STM32MP157-DK2 board? I've managed to flash the device using the STM32 Programmer CLI, but after flashing, I need to manually switch the bootmode to boot from the SD-card.It would be great if the flash and boot could be triggered completely automatically, e.g. by a Jenkins script. If the device could flash and boot without any manual steps, it would make it possible to run various test scripts completely automatically on the real hardware. Is this in any way possible?

Great ST Community,Problem:Why do I have random duplicate frames on the CAN bus with a STM32G474?Context:I am using STM32G474 ;I am using FDCAN1 (can not try with FDCAN2) with Classical CAN frames ;STM32Cube FW_G4 V1.4.0 ;STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0 ;I used these tools to configure bit times:https://phryniszak.github.io/stm32g-fdcan/http://www.bittiming.can-wiki.info/I want 500 kBauds, from 24 MHz, so my configuration is:hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1;hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1;hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_FD_BRS;hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL;hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE;hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = ENABLE;hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE;hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 3;hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 2;hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 13;hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg2 = 2;hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler = 3;hfdcan1.Init.DataSyncJumpWidth = 2;hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 13;hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg2 = 2;hfdcan1.Init.StdFiltersNbr = 0;hfdcan1.Init.E

Hello,i have a question regarding the RM0444. On page 74  chapter 3.3.6, is mentioned the following:"During a program/erase operation to the Flash memory, any attempt to read the Flashmemory stalls the bus. The read operation proceeds correctly once the program/eraseoperation has completed."Does that mean the system bus is stalled or just the Flash memory interface? For example what happens if i have an interrupt, which is running from RAM, while the bus/Flash memory interface has been stalled because a Flash read operation has been executed while a Flash write operation is ongoing? Will the interrupt be handled whilst the Flash write operation is ongoing? Thanks in advance!Best regardsChris

Hello, For my research work I want to characterize how much current the LPTIM of a STM32U575ZIT6Q consumes when in compare match mode (counting from 0 to 65535 repeatedly).I prorgrammed two very simple codes, one where the counter is not initialized and the code goes to a while(1) after intialization of basic functions (clock and GPIO). The second program does the same but before the while(1) the timer is initialized and set-up. The core is running at 10 MHz, and the timer at 1MHz.To get the current consumption my idea was to power the MCU with an SMU with the timer on and then with timer off and get the current consumption by the difference of both values. While doing this I found two strange things:1-The current doesnt seem to be steady even when stucked in the while loop (see picture), what can explain this turning on and off of some other cicuitry? Maybe other peripherals?2-When I did the measurements with the timer off the average value was very close to 7 mA,

I am using the IIS3DWB sensor and have a question about reading data from the FIFO.Currently, I use the following function to retrieve one set of x, y, z values at a time:int32_t iis3dwb_fifo_out_raw_get(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t *buff){int32_t ret;ret = iis3dwb_read_reg(ctx, IIS3DWB_FIFO_DATA_OUT_X_L, buff, 6);return ret;}If I want to retrieve 1024 sets of data at once, can I modify it like this:ret = iis3dwb_read_reg(ctx, IIS3DWB_FIFO_DATA_OUT_X_L, buff, 1024 * 6);Will this allow the SPI to fetch all 1024 sets of data in a single cycle?Additionally, I am using the sensor's FIFO feature with an ODR set to ODR/10, resulting in approximately a 2.6 kHz data FIFO buffer rate. I am interested in reading the buffer data at once when the COUNTER_BDR_IA flag is enabled.

Dear Sirs,To achieve a longer reading distance, we are tuning the antenna matching parameters. To use the ST25R antenna matching tool, we need to give a value fortarget matching Z and target antenna Q. I wonder how to select the target matching Z for a longer distance. In datasheet for ST25R3916, there is RFO driver resistance. Should we select target matching Z as same as RFO driver resistance? If possible, please give me some help information about the target matching Z.best regardsDai Sai

Hello ST Community,I'm currently working on a project involving an STM32H7B3I-DK microcontroller, ADC readings, and the TouchGFX graphical framework. I have successfully implemented ADC reading and data transfer through a queue, but I'm encountering challenges with correctly displaying the ADC values on the TouchGFX screen. I have attached a screenshot for reference.Issue Details:- Using TouchGFX for GUI development.- ADC values are confirmed through the data queue.- The displayed values on the TouchGFX screen appear to be erratic and not reflecting the expected values. (Text area buffer size is 5)The graph is just static not real values yet I would appreciate any insights or guidance on properly interpreting and displaying ADC values in a TouchGFX application. If you've encountered similar issues, your assistance would be highly valuable.
