Hello,I am trying to port the official BLE_Ota example from STM32CubeWB (WB55 project) to an STM32WB30 device, but I am facing multiple compilation issues after importing the project into STM32CubeIDE.After configuring STM32_WPAN and generating the project for STM32WB30, I get many errors such as:RTC_HandleTypeDef unknown typeIPCC undeclaredFLASH_ECCR_* undeclaredSCB_* undeclaredLL_* functions not declaredHAL and LL drivers missing or inconsistentIt seems like the project is not correctly recognizing the STM32WB30 device definition, and many peripherals (RTC, IPCC, FLASH, RCC) are not properly included or enabled.I already tried:Adding STM32WB30xx define in the compiler preprocessorEnabling STM32_WPAN middleware (BLE stack full mode)Checking stm32wbxx_hal_conf.hHowever, the issues persist and the project still behaves as if it is partially configured for STM32WB55.My questions are:Is the BLE_Ota example officially supported for STM32WB30, or only for WB55?Are there any specific limitat

I want to vary the duty cycle of two adjacent DAC values of an STM32G473.  I am using DAC1 channel1 and channel2 for the output. I want to load DAC1s DHR12Rx registers via DMA when TIM3 hits output compare values.  I set up a memory to peripheral transfer for each TIM3 channel and set the CMAR and CPAR registers to the memory location of the DAC values and the peripheral addresses of the DAC DHR12Rx registers.   I have been able to make this configuration work for making the TIM3 OC events trigger loading of TIM20's CCR registers from memory, but so far, the DMA transfer won't load the DHCR12Rx registers for the DACs.  Are there additional configuration settings to make this work?  CubeIDE\HAL has configuration options for initializing the DAC in DMA mode, but I need multiple triggers the make the duty cycling work.

I have an old Ubuntu 18.04 system which allows STM32CubeIDE to run, but the STM32_Programmer failed because libm.so and libc.so were wrong. I found glibc-2.30 and copied the libraries into the same directory as the STM32_Programmer lib. Now I just get a seg fault, even when trying to just get the version number:bin/STM32_Programmer_CLI --version Segmentation fault (core dumped)Is there any way to figure out what might be the problem?

I’m currently working on implementing and testing Flash ECC on my controller. According to the datasheet, the device supports ECC, and I can see that it is managed through the FLASH_ECCR register. However, I’m facing some difficulty verifying whether ECC is functioning correctly. Specifically: I am unable to find any ECC-related flags in the FLASH status register. I’m not sure how to intentionally generate an ECC error to validate my implementation (e.g., to confirm that error handling via NMI/interrupt is working as expected). Could anyone please guide me on how to reliably trigger a Flash ECC error for testing purposes on this controller? Any suggestions, references, or example approaches would be really helpful.

Dear Community, dear STMicro, I'm trying to encrypt data on an STM32WL55JC device using the STM32CubeExpansion_Crypto_V4.5.0 library and then using Python on the PC to decrypt it again.I've taken the example code for RSA encryption from the librarySTM32CubeExpansion_Crypto_V4.5.0/Projects/NUCLEO-WL55JC/Applications/RSA/PKCS1v2.2_EncryptDecryptand adapted it.I've created an RSA 2048 bit key on my PC using this code:private_key = rsa.generate_private_key( public_exponent=65537, key_size=2048) pem = public_key.public_numbers() public_exponent = ["0x%02s" % e[i:i+2] for i in range(0, len(e), 2)] n = "%X" % pem.n n = "0" + n if len(n) % 2 == 1 else n modulus = ["0x%02s" % n[i:i+2] for i in range(0, len(n), 2)] f = open("pub.c", "w") f.write("public_exponent[] = {%s}\n" % ", ".join("%s" % s for s in public_exponent)) f.write("modulus[] = {%s}" % ", ".join("%s" % s for s in modulus)) f.close() From this code I get something like thispublic_exponent[] = {0x01, 0x00, 0x01} modulus[]

I am trying to integrate Crypto lib to NUCLEOF303RE Board, Any guide or any suggestions would help

Hallo,is it possible to detect in my code whether it was just loaded and started under debugger? The code should behave deifferant as usual because flash loader writes into RAM and .noinit section is modified because of this.I have already checked RSR register. It looks the same as after software reset: CPURSTF, PINRSTF and SFTRSTF are high. Moreover RSR gegister is independent from debug configuration: Debugger / Reset behaviour. I use ST-LINK v3 with ST-LINK GDB server.

Hi everyone, I saw that ST give a C driver for STUSB4500 and even have a binary to test the 4531 on some boards. Can ST provide a C library for this chip ? Thanks.

I wanted to try out the new STMCubeMX2 with one of the suitable STM32C5 MCU and I get this errorNot sure what does this mean, is there any certificate needed to use STMCubeMX2 ?

This is one of those issues where I can hardly figure out what to seach for...I have a board (with an STM32G431) where I can activate the BOOT pin with a switch, to start the system bootloader. This allows the customer to upload a new application version using STM32CubeProgrammer and the microcontroller's USB port. However, on this board, the application doesn't run when the bootloader is done. On other boards with other micrcontroller types, the "Run after programming" feature works nicely, but not on the one with an STM32G431.Even with an ST-LINK V3 connected to the board, I cannot see with certainty in what state the microcontroller ends up, or what the program counter says, as the ST-LINK loses its connection with the microcontroller. When I reconnect, STM32CubeProgrammer claims that the CPU is halted. Why the CPU is halted, I have no idea. But it is quite annoying, as the board is a tiny thing in a very large industrial machine, where they should be able to upload new firmware

Hi, For STM32H753IITx + ST67W611M1 on a custom board with FreeRTOS: What is the recommended integration approach for X-CUBE-ST67W61 on STM32H753? Specifically: Is STM32H753 officially supported/recommended as a host MCU for ST67W611M1? For H753, is it recommended to use the middleware directly from CubeMX? Are there known FreeRTOS version compatibility issues between CubeMX-generated FreeRTOS and X-CUBE-ST67W61 on H753? Thank you.

I am using STEVAL-MKI109D + STEVAL-MKI238A. I have evaluated motion-stationary FSM example as it seemed closest to what we want to use for our application. It seems to work fine, however it is too sensitive and needs some upgrades. What I want to achieve:Setup timer (TI3) to some value such such as 5 seconds. During this 5 second period, I want to detect specific number of events above certain threshold (GNTH1). If specific number of events were detected during 5 second period, generate an interrupt and repeat over and over again. If specific number of events were not detected during that 5 seconds period, just reset the counter and repeat. My cofiguration:It sounds like a simple requirement but I cannot achieve it using FSM.I tried to achieve this using 2 FSM's: FSM1:FSM1 is responsible for incrementing long counter everytime the GNTH1 is reached. FSM2:FSM2 is responsible for resetting long counter. I don't really understand why the MEMS Studio forces me to put STOP command at

Hey there,I'm currently working on an audio application for the STM32U5A5 (which I'll later port to the STM32N657), using MDF.The application closely follows the MDF/ADF examples for audio recording found in the U5/N6 Cube firmware packages, with the difference that it does not output the transformed audio signal immediately via SAI, but instead stores it in a large buffer to download it later via the STMCubeProgrammer.Although the application generally works great, it does not record more than ~2 seconds of audio, even if I increase the size of the storage buffer (e.g., to a size corresponding to 4 seconds of audio recording capacity). No matter how large I set the buffer, the function HAL_MDF_AcqCpltCallback is called approximately 2 seconds after the recording starts. Within the implementation of this function, HAL_MDF_AcqStop_DMA is called to stop the recording.I would be interested in the criteria according to which the HAL_MDF_AcqCpltCallback function is called. I would

I downloaded stm32cubemx-win-v6-17-0.zip on Windows 11 direct from the ST web page:STM32CubeMX | Software - STMicroelectronicsDownloaded file size 676,525 MBBut it does not uncompress and install, all I get is a kind of ghost window that tries to launch but then aborts.Any ideas please?Kind regards,Al

Is there and/or will there be an approved off-target unit testing framework for STM32 (in my case, STM32H5)? I've been trying to stand up a test project generated by STM32CubeMX, imported into VS Code using Unity unit-testing framework, but running into pitfalls. In the past, I've used PlatformIO's with ease, was hoping the STM32 VSCode ext pack would be similar out the gate.Over all, I'm aiming to test against the business logic and not needing a full-blown simulator. My rule of thumb is its good practice to do some kind of off-site (off-board) unit testing.Even if there is a solid blog post with how to setup STM32 + CMake + Unity (or equivalent) and vanilla C using the CubeMX generated project, that would be most helpful. Most of the blog posts I find are either outdated, doing something custom, or a different architecture.  Yes, I'll fully admit, my strong points are MSVC and C#'s tooling for test frameworks, and not so much with CMake/CTest.Thank you!

Hi everyone,I'm working on an audio acquisition project using the STM32H743ZIT6 microcontroller. The goal is to build a microphone array with 8 digital MEMS microphones (MP34DT05-A), connected via DFSDM and streamed over USB to a PC using the USB Audio Class (UAC). At the moment, I'm starting small and testing with one or two microphones. So far, I have successfully configured one DFSDM filter and one channel using regular conversion with DMA, and I'm receiving valid audio data. Now I would like to add a second microphone, which is connected to a second DFSDM channel (with opposite clock edge). Both channels should ideally be handled by the same DFSDM filter.I'm currently wondering:What is the best approach to sample two channels using a single DFSDM filter? Is it necessary or recommended to use injected conversion for the second channel in this case? How would I properly configure DMA and interrupts if both regular and injected conversions are used? Are there any known working examples for

Hello, I am trying to load a kernel driver (.ko file) for a MIPI camera I would like to use with the STM32MP257F-DK. It's for the imx664, and no driver is present already. I have the source for the driver, and was able to compile it into a .ko file, cross-compiled with the exact same OS as is present on the board and with the SDK set up as required. The vermagic line matches exactly: vermagic: 6.6.78 SMP preempt mod_unload aarch64However, every time I try and load the driver with insmod, with or without -f, I get the error: insmod: ERROR: could not insert module imx664.ko: Invalid module formatI am struggling to find where the incompatibility could be, since I have re-tried it a few times and been careful to set it up as ST's documentation says and also to match what is expected by the board. Is there something I am missing with this?

We develop a measuring device which should be capable of SIL 2. It would be possible to fall back to SIL 1 only. STM32F4 MCU is used with STL-Safety-Library.Has anybody qualified the gcc for that? Or did you replace the compiler by already qualified products from Keil, IAR?If you have qualified the gcc, have you done it yourself or used commercial tools?

I am porting the ST67W611M1 WiFi/BLE driver (X-CUBE-ST67W61 v1.2.0) from a NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q to a custom PCB with STM32F767VIT6. The Nucleo version works perfectly. Apologies in advance, this is a long one.We are developing a camera application on an STM32H747. We have 32GB of SDRAM configured through FMC.We have a NanEyeC camera from which we are continuously acquiring data in packed bayered format via SPI, into one of three SDRAM framebuffers [A1,A2,A3] (a three-buffer system so that one is reading, one is pending, and one is writing). On our main loop we check to see if one of the raw camera data [A1,A2,A3] has available data and then (1) unpack and debayer it into a 320x320 RGB888 SDRAM framebuffer [B] (we want this intermediate point from which the user can save images), then runs a scaling operation to transfer it into a 460x460 (our display size) RGB888 SDRAM framebuffer [C],After these for loops we start a DMA2D transfer which combines [C] with overlay graphics in 460x460 ARGB4444 SDRAM framebuffer [D], and outputs the result into 460x460 RGB888 SDRAM framebuffer [E], and the DMA2D end-of-transfer interrupt initiates an LTDC-DSI operation w

Hie, according to the documentation of the board, USART1 can be used with db9 port by setting up JP7 and JP8 to 1 and 2 ( which I did). The second thing is to connect usart_tx and usart_rx to PB14 and PB15.The problem is that nothing is showing up on the pc with DB3 port. I've check the tx port with an oscilloscope and I'm getting signal on data sending but only 1.1 V (in AC). I don't know if it's part of the issue but I hope someone has the solutionThanks

I'm using VSCode and J-Link for programming/flashing my STM23 MCUs.Unfortunately using the default setup from SEGGER (https://kb.segger.com/J-Link_Visual_Studio_Code#Support),J-Link only erases areas/pages needed.I found no information about modifying the process of flashing. Is there a way to modify the setup within VSCode in a way, to do a full chip erase when flasing by default? Many thanks!

Hello everyone, I am using the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q board for a project. I have noticed that the HRTIMs thatare not multiplexed with some USB pins (like the HRTIM_D1 with the D+ for programming the IC via usb)work normally, while if they do, I can't output any PWM pulse. Is this actually a thing and to overcome itI have to remove some of the Zero Ohm resistors behind the nucleo board or design a custom pcb for my needsor am I messing something up? In my situation specifically, i can output from all HRTIM channels except the D1and D2, both of which map to a pin with USB. Thanks in advance!

Looking to add a 4 mic pdm array setup to livetune environment. Had questions on how deep into the environment we need to go for the changes. Is it just a matter of changing the # of channels for the sysIn, # of slots and active slots on the pdm interface? or do we need to drive deep as address the audio buffer as well. At one point I thought I read the audio buffer was allocated dynamically. We are just looking for a little guidance before we start changing things as there might be a simple way to achieve our goal vs us guessing and creating issues.
