I am running a 28 pole 20A nominal motor using x-Nucleo IHM08M1 and a nucleo -G431RB. I have been doing a number of tests verifying locked rotor current/torque and checking the effect of different settings of proportional gain. I am using Stm32CubeMonitor to monitor all the variables.I am using 6 step control. and Hall devices for sensingMy understanding seems to be progressing. answers to the following two questions would assist me greatly.1/        When I use the following code to monitor the speed  MC_ProgramSpeedRampMotor1(1,0);MC_StartMotor1();for (int i = 1; i <= 200; i++){Faults =MC_GetOccurredFaultsMotor1();speed = MC_GetAverageMecSpeedMotor1_F();HAL_Delay(50);}MC_StopMotor1();I get integer values for speed and in multiples of 6. eg the speed value jumps from 0 to 6 to 12 etc whereas I am expecting a float as an answer. The final speed is 36 rpm whereas I expect it to be 6 rpm. What am I doing wrong? 2/      At 28 po

Hello, "1/ODR (1 à 200 HZ)" is it the response time of the sensor ?Thank you

Hello, I have a setup where I use an STM32H747XIH6U and an ADAU1361 codec on the I2S-interface. I want to use the PDM-mics on the ADAU, and in order to do that, ADAU has to be in I2S master mode according to the datasheet. Consequently, STM has to be in slave mode. However, in slave mode STM does not generate an MCK, which for some reason is required by ADAU, even though it is supposedly in master mode (it uses the MCK input to generate its internal clocks both in slave and master mode, apparently). So, my question is: Is there a way to output a MCK in STM slave I2S mode anyways? I'm using CubeMX to generate code, and from there it is not possible to configure I2S in full-duplex slave and have a MCK. Can I use another clock, or is there some other workaround?

currently I'm trying to understand how to generate and build the project with STM32H503RBI just followed the below link but there is no stm32h5xx_util_i3c.h in "inc/" folder https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Getting_started_with_I3C I can't also find this header file in "\Drivers\STM32H5xx_HAL_Driver" directory.Could please help me to find where it is?

I am trying to use the STLINK-V3MODS debugger on my system. I need information about the device but can't seem to find much. I have the following specific questions:1. What is GNDDET (Pin 5 of the "32-pin edge connector")? There is no description of this in the publicly released ST documents. Search of the internet says it is a ground detection pin but sources disagree as to whether it is for the STLINK to detect GND of the target or for the target to detect GND of the STLINK. I need to know if it should be connected on my board, but would also like to know its intended purpose.2. What is T_VCC (Pin 30 of the "32-pin edge connector")? I've seen on the forums that it can be connected to my VCC so the STLINK can sense the voltage of my VCC but again, nothing in the official ST documentation.3. I am planning on using the GPIOs to control a master power down signal for my entire system. The signal is pulled to +5V through a 10k resistor, pulling it to GND will put the entire system in

I tried port optee to customize board, but encouted panic and I could not figure it out. here is log and dree tree setting for the board, thank you

Hallo All,I am currently stuck and need your help. The following function counts the no. of 1 in a 32 bit word on an STM32F407. Why does it fail for values which have their bit 31 set? Precisely, it ignores bit 31 and in these cases is off by one. .global countBits .text .syntax unifiedcountBits: mov r3, r0 mov r2, #32 mov r0, #0next: lsls r3,r3,#1 it mi addmi r0, #1 subs r2, #1 bne next bx lrI would be glad if anyone could point me to the error which obviously I do not see. Thanks a lotHerby

Hello, Does the STM32H755ZIT support flashing over CAN? The application note AN2606 suggests that the H75x series does support bootloader access on the FDCAN1 interface, but specifies pins PH13 and PH14, which are not available on the LQFP144 package of the -H755ZIT.

Hi,I've just received a new STM32F407G-Discovery1 board from a German electronic supplier Reichelt.de.I've connected the board with my PC (and tried also my MacBook) but the board is not recognized by the computer and doesn't power up.A test with my ESP32 board showed that the USB port is working well.Is there anything I could check on the board (e.g. jumper J1 is closed and if I got it right the discover jumpers are also set) or did I get a defect board. ThanksBernhard

I am in the final stretch of my project using the ST25R95 with an ATTINY88.  I am working on custom hardware and not using libraries.I have all of the ST25R95 related commands working on my development setup with an Arduino UNO and X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 but I moved to the custom hardware and I am not able to read a tag.I used the EMI Filter Calculator to determine the values for the EMI filter and matching circuit.  Measuring with a spectrum analyzer, I have a higher level of output at 13.56 MHz than the NUCLEO dev board.  So my matching must be pretty good.I have attached the SPI trace from boot to the SENDRECV REQ command to wake the ISO14443-A tag but I get a 0x87 response.Any ideas?

Hello everyone, before introducing you to the issue I am experiencing, let me share my setup:uC: STM32U585I2C: Fast Mode PlusIde: STM32CubeIdePower Source: 3.6VDC (laboratory power supply)st25dvxxkc package: GitHub st25dvxxkc RF Reader: ST25 App (Google Play Store)Before sending any I2C command to protected area an I2C security session is opened with ST25DVxxKC_PresentI2CPassword() function; My RF Interface is NOT working anymore after sending ST25DVxxKC_SetI2CCFG_RFSWITCHOFF(&(pObj->Ctx), &reg_value) I2C command. I'm trying to restore it but until now I have not succeed. In order to restore it I've tried to apply some I2C command such ST25DVxxKC_ResetRFOff_Dyn() from st25dvxxkc package I pasted beforehand, but it's not working since it writes NULL data:ret = pObj->IO.Write((pObj->IO.DeviceAddress | ST25DVXXKC_ADDR_RFSWITCH_BIT_I2C) & ~ST25DVXXKC_ADDR_MODE_BIT_I2C, ST25DVXXKC_ICREF_REG, NULL, 0);which is of course denied from HAL_I2C_Mem_Wri

Hello;I am working with STM32CubeIDE, trying to connect a Nucleo-L4R5ZI board to an ADCS chip using I2C. The method of communication is very strange, requiring: [start condition] - [controller sends two bytes] - [start condition] - [controller sends one byte] - [controller reads several bytes] - [stop condition].I wrote some code using the built-in HAL functions to try and accomplish this:  while (HAL_I2C_GetState(hi2c) != HAL_I2C_STATE_READY) {} // delay until ready HAL_I2C_Master_Seq_Transmit_IT(hi2c, ADCS_I2C_ADDRESS << 1, buf, sizeof(buf)/sizeof(uint8_t), I2C_FIRST_AND_NEXT_FRAME); while (HAL_I2C_GetState(hi2c) != HAL_I2C_STATE_READY) {} HAL_I2C_Master_Seq_Transmit_IT(hi2c, ADCS_I2C_ADDRESS << 1, read_buf, sizeof(read_buf)/sizeof(uint8_t), I2C_FIRST_AND_NEXT_FRAME); while (HAL_I2C_GetState(hi2c) != HAL_I2C_STATE_READY) {} // I2C_FIRST_AND_NEXT_FRAME has start condition, no stop condition, and allows for continuing on with another I2C Seq command HAL_I

Hi,What is the effect of "VoltageRange " while erasing a sector ?  Er.VoltageRange = FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_1; Ret = HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&Er, &SectorError); #define FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_1 0x00000000U /*!< Flash program/erase by 8 bits */ #define FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_2 FLASH_CR_PSIZE_0 /*!< Flash program/erase by 16 bits */ #define FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_3 FLASH_CR_PSIZE_1 /*!< Flash program/erase by 32 bits */ #define FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_4 FLASH_CR_PSIZE /*!< Flash program/erase by 64 bits */ From the comment, it seems like the operation will be faster if FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_4 is used. Is that the only thing to be noted ? Are there any disadvantages or any other parameters that ned to be taken care if I keep it as FLASH_VOLTAGE_RANGE_4 ?

The datasheet states that Vbat max is Vcc. How can this be true if in the case of Vcc absent Vbat will always be greater than Vcc. My assumption is that the author meant that Vbat must not exceed Vcc as specified in the Absolute maximum ratings table (4.6V), but I would like to have a formal answer for that.

Hi  We are using the STM32 in a project and want to use a bluetooth module . I see there are many certified modules out there , but if I use any in a project (even though I dont modify the module at all ),  I have to pay for a bluetooth certification. It doesnt make sense using it in a smaller project if a license has to be paid , if I dont put the logo on the brand, do I still have to pay for it?  Im sure many people have come across the same issue Many thanksScott

Dear Mr. or Ms.When I tried to clear IT flag of USART_ISR_RXNE_RXFNE, I can't find any fuction to do it.In stm32g4xxx_ll_usart.h, I can find fuction named LL_USART_IsActiveFlag_RXNE_RXFNE() but there's no function like LL_USART_ClearFlag_RXNE_RXFNE() .Do I need to clear corresponding IT flag ? Or it would be cleared automatically? Thanks and Wishes

Hello,I'm using a F401 blackpill board for a school project.Currently I'm trying to generate a pulse with adjustable length to open a MOSFET circuit.I managed the pulse by using an Output Compare channel and setting the CCR to 1, so the pulse would be the length of the ARR.Where I run into a problem is when I try using more than one Output Compare channel from one timer to do the same operation. The pulse fires once and then all the channels go to HIGH output. To trigger the timer channel I use this function: void pulse(uint16_t pulsetime, TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim, uint8_t channel) { htim->Instance->ARR = pulsetime; HAL_TIM_OC_Start_IT(htim, channel); }  Then in the DelayElapsedCallback I stop the timer channel with HAL_TIM_OC_Stop_IT().As long as I only ever start one of the timer channels it works fine, however as soon as another channel is started in this manner, all channels stop working. Can anyone help me figure out why using multiple channels won't work?

Dear Sir's, what is the minimum high level threshold voltage for a non FT_C port? Is it 0.7xVDD or 0.49xVDD+0.26? Regards,Jochen

Hi,I am currently attempting to debug the secondary core (cortex-M0+) on the STM32WB15CC board, but I have encountered challenges in doing so. According to the documentation, the boot process is initiated by setting C2BOOT through the primary core (cortex-M4) to 1. However, I discovered that the debug interface is locked in CPU2, indicated by the DDS bit being set to 1.It appears that unlocking the debug interface in CPU2 is not straightforward, as the documentation states:"Debug access to the CPU2 is disabled, as indicated by the DDS field in the Secure Flash memory start address register (FLASH_SFR). The debugger has no access to the CPU2 and the secure peripherals and memory areas."Can you please share any hint or assistance.Grateful for the attention!Gaya

Hello,We are using a hardware with STM32H745 controller with FreeRTOS.Can you please suggest a good PC Emulator which can be used to emulate above controller with FreeRTOS.Also we use UART, SPI, LED, CAN peripherals on the actual hardware. Can these peripherals be emulated? Some options I looked at are QEMU and Renode but not sure about STM32745H7 support or FreeRTOS support. Thanks & Regards,Anuj

Hello,I'm trying to read some data using the RX mode of the SPI emulator explained in AN4678 but I have a weird bug that I don't know how to fix.To quickly explain how it works, the SPI emulator uses TIM1 pin to generate a clock and a GPIO pin to behave like a MISO pin. In my case, the STM32 chip is configured as the master (Master Emulation, Slave HW). Using DMA Peripheral to Memory, data is read from the GPIO and stored in a variable at each clock edge of the TIM1 pin. The emulator uses flags to indicate when the transmission is complete. When I try to read data just once, the data retrieval works fine and the good amount of rising edges are sent. But when I want to use the function several times, it seems that the reading process is not finishing properly and the CLK pin is not sending the right amount of rising edges. I don't know if completely resetting the timer and GPIO clocks might work, because if i "restart" the whole driver from zero it should work like the first time ? I tri

Hello. We are using the STPMIC1APQR with the electrical scheme shown in the figure.  We are using the outputs corresponding to BUCK4, LDO4, LDO2, and LDO1.The BUCK4 and LDO4 outputs have voltage at startup, however, the LDO1 and LDO2 outputs, although we have control through the I2C (we have checked it by turning off and on the LDO4 and the VBUSOTG output), do not provide output voltage when the corresponding bit within the control register is activated from the I2C.Best regards.

I'm unable to receive the external interrupt from both EXTI1 and EXTI8 interrupt linesThe triggering is set to faling edge detection and the pin is pulled up externally and the push button connected to the pin shorts it with the ground to create faling edge pulse. But when I debug the program isn't entering the Interrupt callback funtion when it encounters falling edge.Any help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

I am trying to install STM32CubeMX-6.10.0 on Ubuntu 22.04.Following the instructions, I have unzipped the installation ZIP archive and changed the permissions for SetupSTM32CubeMX-6.10.0 to be executable. I have also made all files in jre/bin/ executable.I then run SetupSTM32CubeMX-6.10.0 from my home directory and pick an installation directory in my home folder, but during step 1/7 of the installation, it fails with an error:"Error executing /bin/chmod a+x /home/magnusl/STM32CubeMX/STM32CubeMX"I have tried running the installation as sudo and I get the same error. I have also tried to manually run  /bin/chmod a+x /home/magnusl/STM32CubeMX/STM32CubeMX and it works fine. But if I restart the installation script after this, it complains that STM32CubeMX is already running, so I cannot make it continue unless I delete the whole directory and then I'm back on square 0.Does anyone have an idea on how to solve or work around this problem?

Hi,I'm able to configure LWIP with my Nucleo-F439 board so that it responds to pings as expected. I however want to be able to transport some useful information to a socket (telnet or similar) and I want to use FreeeRTOS for that. I however am unable to get it working, in my Default Task, it always gets stuck in MX_LWIP_Init(), in particular here:#if ( ( INCLUDE_xTaskGetSchedulerState == 1 ) || ( configUSE_TIMERS == 1 ) ){configASSERT( !( ( xTaskGetSchedulerState() == taskSCHEDULER_SUSPENDED ) && ( xTicksToWait != 0 ) ) );}#endifwhich appears to be an issue with the clock config. I duplicated my clock configuration from the working barebones appliaction 1:1 but it still doesn't appear to work. The GPIO config looks to be correct too. What else might I be missing?
