hello everyone. I've bought a board from WeAct Studio and I've successfully configured LVDC it to show a constant 16 bit image from Flash . My LCD is round and 480x480 RGB666. pixel clocks and everything is spot on. there is no image artifacts nor image shifts on the LCD.  I put an image to a web site and generated some buffer like const uint16_t image_data_480x480x16[230400] = {0x2345,,,,,, };I use the code like this : pLayerCfg.FBStartAdress = uint32_t) &image_data_480x480x16;and it shows beautifully, Before I say the problem,  I have a full framebuffer and a test code is like that. // Define LCD dimensions#define LCD_WIDTH 480#define LCD_HEIGHT 480#define FBSize LCD_WIDTH * LCD_HEIGHT#define MemSetFrameSize FBSize * sizeof(uint16_t) // Define framebufferuint16_t framebuffer[FBSize]; void clearFramebuffer() {// Set all pixels to black (color: 0x0000)for (int i = 0; i < FBSize; i++) { framebuffer[i] = 0x0000; }} void FillFramebuffer(

Hi,I want to learn how to write a proper sensor library. I am aware that every sensor has specific way to work but i need to understand coding details. For example should use only one struct for writing and reading registers or maybe seperate structs for each register field like result, configuration, low limit, high limit etc.. Should i use static variable for my configuration struct or should user can create its own variable and push it to my configuration function. I'm trying to figure out best solutions for these kind of problems. Is there any kind of standart or guide? I would be appreciate if you'll enlighten me.RegardsFurkan

Hello everybody! I am new on this forum, my name is Francesco and I am an STM32 MCU enthusiast :) I am currently using the STM32F042U6G6 in one of my project and I noticed that in the ISR vector table generated by CUBE-MX in startup_stm32f042g6u6ux.s file, the addresses where DMA ISR vectors (other than DMA1-channel1) should be mapped, are given to "0" adddress and commented as reserved. However, on the reference manual of the MCU they are clearly specified to be the DMA channels ISR vectors. Didn't find anything on the errata so I don't think they are reserved to workaround some MCU hardware issues. Does anyone know why they might have been set to null pointer?Thank you in advance,Francesco

Hello,I need to create an .elf file from a program that I didn't write but has already proven to work. I'm using an STM32L031K6T6 processor and I work with STMCubeIDE. I selected the processor correctly when creating the STM program. The HAL directory is correctly added to the Include path. When I try to debug the project, the error "fatal error: stm3210xx_hal_adc.h" appears seceral times. If I am not allowed to change the code, what settings can I still investigate which could be causing the error? Thanks in advance.

Please help how I can find this library.STM32-H7A3ZI-Q with latest STM32CubeIDE

I'm working on a project with an STM32U5 device (NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q) and I need to integrate cJSON, mbedTLS, lwIP, and FatFS to load and flash a configuration file cacert.pemonto the STM32 device. However, when I searched for mbedtls and lwip in the middleware and software packages, I couldn't find them. Can anyone provide suggestions or guidance on how to integrate mbedtls, lwIP, and FatFS into my STM32 project? Additionally, I'm curious if there's a cJSON library available for STM32.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU5/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Qhttps://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU5/tree/main/Middlewares/Third_Partyhttps://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH7/tree/master/Middlewares/Third_PartyI've noticed that the STM32H7 series has middleware third-party tools like lwIP and mbedTLS available, but these are not included in the STM32U5 series. Is there a specific reason why these middleware components a

I have a very simple program, but with my board, the debugger does not work properly. It does work on a Nucleo board though. Attached i have the signals, that i could measure on swd clk and swd dio ( brown clock / yellow dio). The are not aligned, but they have the same scale.Programming the target does work. Also now with 8000kHz and NRST connected, unlike in my other thread i had today. See the error here: https://youtu.be/4i2mYk8yuQM I found out, that the counter "DWT->CYCCNT" runs if you hit resume, but the programcode is not beeing resumed.I have now removed the loops, so that there is only a bunch of GPIOB->BSRR |= (uint32_t) GPIO_PIN_10;andGPIOB->BRR |= (uint32_t) GPIO_PIN_10;Also i just letting it run without debugging. It runs for about 771us, independend of how many instructions i put there, so there is a precise time issue. But the curves of the signal dont look as they should. See attached.I just tried it with a fresh generated code from cube mx. Now it ru

Hi,I am considering STM32U5 to interface up to 6 PDM microphones. I see that  with some STM32U5 version 2 SAIs interface are available. How many PDM microphone can I interface in this case? I found some specific documentation related to G4 (up to 6 microphones) and H7 series (up to 8 microphones) and I would like to be sure about U5.Best regards,

Hi,I tried to reach 1us delay. To do that I use a timer on 1MHz and try to reach more or less precision delay. void delayMicro(uint16_t delayMc) { __HAL_TIM_SET_COUNTER(&htim16,0); // set the counter value a 0 while (__HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim16) < delayMc); } HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim16); while () { delayMicro(100); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(OUT1_GPIO_Port, OUT1_Pin); }  And the result is always desired delay+6-8usEven if I set delay = 1us, I get 7-8us.I did something wrong or is this GPIO or microcontroller limitation?

Hi,I just got a Nucleo 64 with an STM32F466 and want to start developing some own softwareinitialise the MCU for with the maximum clock possibleread 96 kHz stereo SPDIF frames from one of the inputs (polling would be fine)analyse the received data (just some very simple and fast math)What I'm looking for are ideas for the first two points to start with. Any idea where I can find some sample codes/example implementations/beginners tutorials? Here "beginner" means noob in terms of STM32 but not in terms of embedded software developments. Thanks!

Here is my attempt at background as I understand it... iROT is a ROM program in the STM32H563. It contains a P256 EC algorithm, and checks some section of FLASH that you define as a program for a signature, then jumps to it. The definition of the program and sig are stored Option Bytes. In my case, I would be asking iROT to check my secondary bootloader for authenticity, in STM32 terms, this becomes the uROT in some cases or OEMuROT in others (terrible naming). Level1 Secure iROT checks my Level2 Secure bootloader, my bootloader checks my Non-secure application. The signature format is confusing, and I think the tools are greatly lacking clarity, but I think I get the idea. 1. What if I change my bootloader in the field? I OTA download a new bootloader. My Non-Secure application stores the update to the secondary bootloader, confirms it's signature with my OTA process, decrypts. Now... My secondary bootloader will update itself on next boot - BUT - If my Level2 secondary boot

I've tried both Zephyr RTOS and an STM32CubeIDE HAL project, and cannot get the FDCAN interface to work. After performing requisite initialization steps, I add a packet to the TX FIFO. No error is returned, but no packet is transmitted. I can repeat this two more times, but on the fourth attempt, I will get an error because the TX FIFO is full.I have attached a logic analyzer to the TX pin (PA12), and I do not see any output (the line remains in the same state). On Zephyr, I've instrumented the driver on Zephyr, and verified that no CAN interrupts are happening.  UART is working (I get debug output).Since that wasn't working, I used the STM32CubeIDE to create a new project and "borrowed" some CAN transmit code from another ST sample, and I see the same behavior -- the code enqueues a CAN message to the TX FIFO, waits a second, and repeats. On the fourth attempt, we get an error that the TX FIFO is full. I'm happy to provide this code if it helps. I've tried multiple U545 boards as

Hi,some flash operation depends on the MCU supply voltage (see picture).I would like to program an STM32F401 with openOCD, where the MCU is supplied with 2.5V.Is the possible? If yes, - Can I use the stm32f4x.cfg or are there modifications needed?- Should I use the ST version of openOCD? https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/OpenOCD-Thomas

Hi , I am trying to build a simple program for blinking leds in Simulink using STM32 NUCLEO F746ZG. When I push on "Build", Simulink gives me this error. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thank you in advance

Hi all,This is a bit silly but it is annoying to me. The picture below shows an empty project (top: DiscoBaseEmpty) and one cubeIDE project (bottom: DiscoBaseIDE) for a dual core STM32H745 disco board. I'm learning what's required to get an empty project to work. I recreated the folders structure of the cubeIDE project with the files and folders in the empty projects. The DiscoBaseEmpty_CM4 is compiling without errors. Although, I only added HAL_Init() to main() for now. The Core folders (in both projects) have 3 other subfolders (Inc, Src and Startup) . The cubeIDE projects shows them too but in the empty project cubeIDE seems to insist in placing "shortcut" folders (Core/Src and Core/Startup) and I can not get rid of them. Trying to delete them ask if I really wanna delete them from the filesystem which is not what I want. I want to get rid of the shortcut folders... and why does it do it for the empty project and not the one created as cubeIDE? Thanks.

HelloAccording to RM0444 reference manual - STM32G0x1 advanced Arm®-based 32-bit MCUs, the STM32G0x1 provide the USB 2.0 communication port. The X-NUCLEO-SNK1M1 board connect the D+ and D- to the PA12 and PA11 pins.But:In the CubeMX under PA11 pin are the following possibilities: ADC1_EXTI11, COMP1_OUT, I2C2_SCL, I2S1_MCK, SPI1_MISO, TIM1_BK2, TIM1_CH4, USART1_CTS, USART1_NSS, GPIO_Input, GPIO_Output, GPIO_Analog, GPIO_EXTI11. No mention about USB. As well as for PA12 where are these possibilities: COMP2_OUT, I2C2_SDA, I2S1_SD, I2S_CKIN, SPI1_MOSI, TIM1_ETR, USART1_CK, USART1_DE, USART1_RTS, GPIO_Input, GPIO_Output, GPIO_Analog, GPIO_EXTI12And on the left side under Connectivity category there is again nothing about USB port.Can you help me please?Thank you

Hello.Recently I received an B-WL5M-SUBG1 board and started to develop a LoRa applicationbased on the LoRaWAN_End_Node example that I got from STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0 archive.I managed to get the example running and sending LoRa packets. My objective now is to integrate the on-board ISM330DHCX accelerometer to the application. For that, I've created a file with the functions AccelApp_Init() AccelApp_Run(), platform_write() and platform_read().In the same file I also declared two other functions "OnAccelData" and "ProcessAccelData"I followed this file as an example on how to integrate the ISM330DHCX: ism330dhcx_STdC/examples/ism330dhcx_read_data_polling.c I'm able to retrieve the ISM330DHCX ID by reading the WHO_AM_I register of the device, and to set-up other registers by calling the ISM330 driver functions from AccelApp_Init().To create a new task, I first changed "utilities_def.h" and created "CFG_SEQ_Task_ProcessAccelData" Id."OnAccelData" is a callback for a UTIL_TIMER, that

Hello, I am attempting to follow the tutorial listed here in order to generate a simple screen with some widgets for a Riverdi RVT70HSSFWCA0 display board. The board is correctly powered and i can access it with an external ST-LINK.However, when attempting to generate code with TouchGFX Designer (4.23.0) i am getting the following error in class DoubleBufferedVideoController during project compilation: C:/TouchGFXProjects/riverdi7-0001/CM7/TouchGFX/target/generated/TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp:36:70: error: cannot declare variable '{anonymous}::videoController' to be of abstract type 'DoubleBufferedVideoController<1, 800, 480, 2400, touchgfx::Bitmap::RGB888>' 36 | DoubleBufferedVideoController<1, 800, 480, 800 * 3U, Bitmap::RGB888> videoController; | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In file included from C:/TouchGFXProjects/riverdi7-0001/CM7/TouchGFX/target/generated/TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp:27: ../../../CM7/TouchGFX/target/generated/DoubleBufferedVideoController.hpp:49:7:

I am reaching out regarding a query about the STM32F407G-DISC1 target. Upon reviewing the datasheet, I noted that it indicates the target does not support reading while writing. However, upon personal experimentation, I found that it functions correctly in this regard.Could you kindly provide clarification on this matter? I am curious to understand why my observations differ from the information provided in the datasheet.Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

Hello! Is external antenna included with X-NUCLEO-GNSS1A1 board (or X-NUCLEO-GNSS2A1) or it should be purchased separately? GNSS expansion board based on Teseo-LIV3F module for STM32 Nucleo Data brief does not mention external antenna, but Getting started with the X-CUBE-GNSS1 global navigation satellite system software expansion for STM32Cube does mention it: "The GPS/GLONASS/Beidou antenna included with the X-NUCLEO-GNSS1A1 or X-NUCLEO-GNSS2A1 expansion board must be connected to the antenna connector on the expansion board. "Another related question is should this external antenna be passive or active or both variants are suitable? Thanks.

Hello,I'm having problems with the adc conversions on my STM32G491.There is an error of 23-26% higher than measured with scope or multimeter.I'm using ADC1 & 2 in dual mode with DMA, I have an input signal coming from an opamp voltage follower.I'll attach the adc file, the signal I used to compare ADC1 & 2 results is DETECT_PAM.Kind regards,Yves

I have made a prototype, and it runs as just after upload. But when i just turn on the power, it wont. It does not matter if the st-linkv3 ist connected or not. When i reset it, via the NRST pin, it also wont run.I already used the HSE and HSI, and checked on a nucleo, that my code is working (it does).I dont know how i further can investigate this. The level of NRST is clean and the level is good.

Can anyone guide me if i am doing the correct way of combining 2 rams in linker script(attached with the message ) for my stm32 based micro controller - which is stm32wle5xx, any help would be much appreciated.

Hello everybody,I read from following webpage that Keil IDE is free for STM32 Cortex-M0/M0+ development, I think it's related to an agreement between STM and Keil developer.https://arm-sc10xp1-pre-prod-cd.azurewebsites.net/tools-and-software/embedded/keil-mdk/buy/stmicroelectronicsMy question is: Does this "free" license cover also commercial product development based on Cortex-M0/M0+ (like STM32G0 ) ?Thanks

Hi All,Can anyone share me the STM32H563VG reference schematics or schematics of EVAL board for the same
