Dear ST,I was pleased to hear about the new STM32H7R/S lines, especially with the new graphic acceleration features in the R-line.However, and perhaps I have missed something, but I have to admit I am also disappointed about the absence of large sized internal RAM and FLASH. I was hoping to see a new boosted H7-version with large capabilities of internal memory similar to some devices in the STM32U5-series. A minimum of 4 MB RAM  +  4 MB FLASH would probably have made the need for external memory interfacing unnecessary in 9 out 10 applications and making the device work perfect with large screen resolutions out-of-the-box.Instead, the new STM32H7R/S lines would now need to be interfaced with BOTH external RAM and FLASH. Also, it seems to lack support OCTO SPI interface which would lead to a more complex PCB design with parallel memory interfacing. So, I am curious to hear if there are any plans for making a device version with larger internal RAM and FLASH like the U5-series,

DS says otherwise - that SMPS is available in *all* packages for 'H725: To me it appears that it's the infographics which is wrong. Wasn't the footnote supposed to go into some other sub-family?JW

I have purchased X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 (CR95HF) evalboard, and nucelo-F072RB board.I want to develop RFID reader/writer . Please suggest a firmware example code which I can program in the eval board. Secondly Does ST has any PC based utility which can be used to send commands to nuclo board to read and write RFID cards/tags. Please share videos which demonstrate the same. Thanks

Hello,I am not able to find the memory map for the processors stm32f777zitx.It tells to refer to product line reference manual what does that mean?I checked everywhere on the internet but could not find it.

Hi, I got a problem with the reception using USART7. I'm using it in the interrupt mode but the problem is that the data in the buffer is not coming well. I'm connecting STM32F407 board with the STM32F746 using UART. When the F7 transmits, there's no problem and the data is sending well BUT when I'm trying to receive from F4, the data that arrives is not the same that the F4 sends. This is the main code I'm using in the F7 for receive. /* Private user code ---------------------------------------------------------*/ /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */ uint8_t rx_buff[12]; /* USER CODE END 0 */ int main(void) { /* MPU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ MPU_Config(); /* Enable the CPU Cache */ /* Enable I-Cache---------------------------------------------------------*/ SCB_EnableICache(); /* Enable D-Cache---------------------------------------------------------*/ SCB_EnableDCache(); /* MCU Configuration----------------------------------------------

Hello,  I'm trying to setup a production line where I have to flash a serial number on each piece after it has been programmed with the standard firmware. I put the serial number in an hex file, and I'm trying to write it using STM32_Programmer_CLI but I need to skip the flash erase before programming.  I tried using 'ske':  STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD -w serial.hex ske but the flash keeps getting erased.  I found out that with ST-LINK_CLI.exe I can use the option 'ske' to disable flash erase, and I tried it, but it seems kind of obsolete because when I launch ST-LINK_CLI.exe -c SWD LPM -P serial.hex ske I keep receiving this error: Note that read out protection is NOT enabled and there is no elf file involved, I'm using .hex files. What am i missing here? From what I can understand SMT32 Cube Programmer should have replaced STLink Utilities, but is it missing fundamental features like skipping the erase of the flash?

stm32cube software is unable to program over 512Kb of binary into STM32F767ZG which is a 1MB part due to wrong identification as 2MB partWe first reported this back in 2021 as https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32Cube_MCU_Overall_Offer/issues/11 and https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001EEBXXSA5/stm32cubeprogrammer-incorrectly-erases-on-dual-bank-1mb-stm32f7best we got so far is "i have also transmitted your issue to our development team with the internal reference 120183"looking for ideas on how to make progress with this issue? we really like cube and our firmware is above 512Kb now

I am working with STM32G474RET6U MCU and I would like to check the values of bit filed EXTSEL (ADCx->CFGR.EXTSEL) the problem is that according to SFR view this bit field starts on 6th bit of CFR register, but according to the reference manual it should start on the 5th bit. Is this a mistake of STM or am I missing something?

Automatic mode works fine just to download binaries to the MCU.If It try to set option bytes read out protection to BB afterwards, the software will lock.It displays:15:20:13 : UPLOADING OPTION BYTES DATA ...15:20:13 : Bank : 0x0015:20:13 : Address : 0x40023c1415:20:13 : Size : 4 Bytes15:20:13 : PROGRAMMING OPTION BYTES AREA ...And stays on this state forever, If I click "Stop automatic mode" it displays:15:21:55 : aborting on going operation...15:21:55 : Disconnected from device. But it won't work normally. All the features related to non-automatic operation will remain disabled. The only way to bring it back is closing it, and opening it again. When I change the option bytes manually, it works fine. The string I used to set the read out protection is -ob RDP=BBIs there anything else I should do ?Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hello,I'm in the process of developing a device using the STM32WB5MMG, and I have a query regarding the wireless testing method for the final product.I need to conduct tests using an antenna (external antenna) approved by the certification body rather than utilizing the built-in antenna on the MCU.Could you please confirm if there is an option similar to STM32WB1MMC where external/internal antenna selection is available, or if there is a method to use an external antenna?I have attached the antenna options section from the datasheet of STM32WB1MMC for reference.  Thank you.

Hello,We use STM32F765VGT6 in our product. The datasheet says 1MB of flash memory available but it looks like there is 2MB available for use 0x0800 0000 to 0x081F FFFF. Is this a documentation issue? Can we use the extra 1MB flash starting from 0x0810 0000 to 0x081F FFFF? Regards,Shinoy

I want to run AI machine vision applications using STCubeAI. After training the model with TensorFlow components, I obtained a tflite file. Then, I imported and analyzed the model using the CubeAI toolkit in STM32CubeMX, and subsequently generated CubeAI C code. The first strange phenomenon I encountered here is that, although I have configured the use of external RAM and external flash and specified addresses in the CubeAI section of CubeMX, the compiler still reports insufficient RAM during compilation in Keil. This indicates that the external RAM settings I configured in CubeAI did not take effect.Despite setting the usage of external RAM as mentioned above, the generated code still throws an error indicating insufficient RAMSo I had to use the 'attribute' keyword to specify that some variables used by CubeAI should be stored in external RAM, which is inefficient and error-prone.Then the program compiled successfully. However, at runtime, the program triggered a hard fault at the 'r

I am getting CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED when I try to connect to a device in my code. In their example code is working. Issue is when using with my code. It's an strange issue. I copied all also checked in file comparision. All good but while using other code it's returning CUBEPROGRAMMER_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED (-5) error.

I just was testing the bootloader, when it did not respond after writing the flash. Upon inspecting the memory, i found the last 2 bytes have not been written? (i guess the uC went to hard fault or something)It should not be this way?

The connections in the picture is ok or should, I want to change any thing.(note: is it necessary to connect GND to the DB9 connector).

I am trying to create a basic setup for  STM32L4R9-DISCO with CubeMX and TouchGFX.TouchGFX complains about more than one layer being active from the LTCD module. But I cannot figure out how to disable a layer in the LTDC.

Hello,STM8S208RB microcontroller. Pins PA4 and PA5 do not work in push-pull mode. Why? I haven't tried it in other modes. It's not a microcontroller issue because I tested it on two different microcontrollers. Pins are shown in the datasheet (see figure bellow).I tested the robotic functionality using this code:main(){    PA_DDR = 0b01111110;    PA_CR1 = 0b01111110;    PA_CR2 = 0b00000000;    PA_ODR = 0b00000000;    while (1)    {        delay_miles(2000);        PA_ODR = 0b01111110;        delay_miles(2000);        PA_ODR = 0b00000000;    }}

i use STM32F107+LWIP(2.0.3)+freeRTOSI wrote the program with the help of the following document :https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um1713-developing-applications-on-stm32cube-with-lwip-tcpip-stack-stmicroelectronics.pdfAfter connecting the computer with the micro a few times, the information is correctly received by the micro. But I don't send a reply to the computer. The tcp_server_recv callback function only turns one LED on and off for one second. After sending information a few times, it stops receiving and I don't have ping anymore. What advice can you give?

@Peter BENSCH  Hi Peter,Please clarify the foot-print land-pattern in STM32G431MB as shown below. The actual pitch is 0.5 mm and for pins 1 to pin 20, the pitch should be 19*0.5 = 9.5 mm. But it is showing 9.8 mm in the datasheet. Regards,Sreejith

Hello, I am very new to micro electronics. I have been trying to set up reading CAN bus messages using my Nucleo board with a can tranceiver SN65HVD230.I have found many examples , but not for the F334R8T6Nucleo. I attempted to export numerous examples from other board types, but I don't  think the configurations match....I tried to use ArduinoIDE with STM32 without any success iether. All the examples I have tried via internet do not comply exactly with my board, so it's hit and miss. I could just go out and buy another board, but I see CAN is available on my board and would like to make it work.I have installed STMProgrammer, IDE and MX and would like to know the sequence for setting up and reading messages. Thanks in advance

Hello, I am having an issue with the STM32 GPIO. The problem is that immediately after supplying power to the chip, GPIOs such as PJ0, PJ1, PJ2, etc. are momentarily powered, behaving as if they were set as outputs.Below is the test sequence:1. I created the project without setting the GPIOs and then performed program verification on the chip.2. I turned the chip off and then back on.3. I monitored the power supply line of the chip and specific GPIO using an oscilloscope.4. The result showed that when the power supply voltage increased to above 1.7V, the GPIO voltage also increased.I hope this helps!

Hello Community,I am slightly confused while selecting the external high-precision Clock source for our application that uses STM32G474RxT3 series MCUs. I want to use DSC1001DL2-024.0000T as I have these in our inventory, I checked for the operating voltage range & recommended Frequency range as given in the datasheet of STM32G474.I however am unsure as the AN2867 specifies Crystal/Resonator list only. Can someone confirm if choosing MEMS Oscillator like DSC1001DL2-024.0000T shall be suitable or not? Thanks in advance.

Hi, guys:I want to excute code from sdram with stm32h747i-DISCO board, but it run into MemManager Fault.I read the AN5188，but find no example for stm32h747i-DISCO board. So I build 2 projects to test with this board.First project is the "bootloader" ,it copy the "application" bin from SDCard to SDRAM(0xD0000000).I refer to the codes from  ExtMem_Boot demo for Stm32h750 board.Second project is the "application"，it's only toggle the LED. I refer to the codes from LedTogging Demo for  Stm23h743 board, especially the linker script code and the startup code, I change the FLASH  ORIGIN  to 0xD0000000.When I debug the bootloader , it's run into MemManage_Handler. When I change the MPU DisableExec config(for 0xD0000000) to MPU_INSTRUCTION_ACCESS_ENABLE , it's run into HardFault_Handler. So i think the MPU allow the excute ,but what else block the excute.I want to know what may case this , is stm32h747 support excute  code from SDRAM,and

Has anyone already ordered this Nucleo board? Is it indeed out of stock in the store, or never sold yet?https://estore.st.com/en/nucleo-h7s3l8-cpn.html
