Hi,Just receive the SATEL-VL53L8 kit. It contains 2 boards but which one is the VL53L8CX or VL53L8CH.RegardsJP

Hello,I am using the STM32H747I-DISCO board for prototyping. I was able to load up the "Tutti Frutti" game demo on the board to verify the hardware. In my own application I was able to store a small 320 x 240 image in the internal flash of the STM32H747XIH6 device on the discovery board. I understand how that works.I have my image data as a C array of uint32_t data formatted as ARGB8888.My questions are:1.  How do I compile/build/assemble that data into a .bin or .hex file to load into the external Quad SPI flash available on the discovery board? I just want the image data stored there, not the entire application.2. What tools do I need besides what comes with STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE, and STM32CubeProg? 3. If the QSPI flash stores the data as bytes, do I have to do bit shifting conversion as I read the bytes out? What I mean is do I read 4 bytes and shift them into a uint32_t variable or can I just move the bytes from the QSPI to SDRAM (where my frame buffer is stored) and

Hi, STM Experts,Recently, we are investigating if STM-H5 MCU with I3C SDR support could meet our system requirement. We now have a following question, and hope get support from you.In our system, there will be not only I3C devices but also I2C legacy devices which can work at 400Kbps or 1Mbps modes. As for legacy I2C protocol, mutli-master feature is supported so that any of the I2C device can start a communication transaction when a bus is in an idle state. Is this still true for an I2C device working on a mixed I3C bus i.e. the I2C device (target in I3C specification term) can start a communication transaction when the mixed I3C bus is in Bus Availiable State? Will STM-H5 MCU support such a use senario? Thanks and Regards!// JC1985

Hello everyone!Ran into some issues writing float data to the UART. I know with Nordic, there was some weird workaround that had to be used to convert it that looked something like this: NRF_LOG_INFO("MLX90393 X = " NRF_LOG_FLOAT_MARKER "\r", NRF_LOG_FLOAT(*x));I wasn't sure if there was some other trick for this, if there's a project related setting that is required to make use of floating point (in case it's disabled by default or something to that effect, etc). I tried finding one but didn't seem to find one in the project options. Anyway, this is my current attempt at resolving the issue:void write_mlx90393_to_uart(float x, float y, float z) { x = 250.3; y = -112.3; z = 15.214;   char x_str[30]; char y_str[30]; char z_str[30];   sprintf(x_str, "X: %f", x); sprintf(y_str, "Y: %05.2f \n", y); sprintf(z_str, "Z: %05.2f \n", z);   debugPrintln(&huart1, x_str); debugPrintln(&huart1, y_str); debugPrintln(&huart1, z_str); }I expected it would convert

Hi,I am using STM32H755ZI for a project and i want to provide a firmware update feature. I will only have one USB port in the end product, so i can't use ST LINK. When i try to upload using DFU, i need to pull my BOOT0 pin high such that the bootloader will be loaded from system memory, I need to reset the board as well. That makes sense too. But let's say i don't want to do that. Can i jump to the system memory location such that the chip will enter DFU mode. I was thinking about something like this. If i receive the character 'f' i enter firmware upgrade mode.HAL_UART_Receive(&huart3,&rxData, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY);//I am using STLINK USB UART for testingif (rxData == 'f') {//Code to jump to bootloader and enter firmware upgrade mode.}I checked AN2606 and it says that for  STM32H74xxx/75xxxSystem memory - 122 Kbytes, starting from address 0x1FF00000 contain the bootloader firmware. The bootloader start address is 0x1FF09800.So, is it possible to jump to this address and

In using CubeMx 6.11.0 to start a new project for the STM32H7B3I-DK to use the USB OTG, I noticed that none of the USB_OTG_HS_ULPI_xxxx pins are configured. The USB_OTG_HS peripheral option is not allowed because of an I2S6 conflict. Now I'm wondering if I should go down this path because the memories might not be configured properly either. Is there an *.ioc file that is actually correct/complete for this board? If I go through the effort to correct the missing connections will it work or am I going to run into other difficulties?Doing the obvious and disabling the I2S6 did not release the peripheral either, apparently some of the pins are still allocated.

Hi @Peter BENSCH can you help me how to modify the  STEVAL-ISV020V1 to make the VEOC up to 5.3V?

Hi ChannelI have tested the TF-M Package Released by ST, on the STM32U585 and its working fine. Now i want to revert back my STM32U585 (B-U585I-IOT02A Kit) as for the testing of TF-M SBSFU there is some configuration of option bytes as given in UM2851 manual. Now i want to test some normal applications on the same board. I have made the following changeschanged RDP to to 0 and changed TZEN bit =0 at the same time to disable the trust zone controller.i have disabled wrp 1 and wrp2 bits. But now i am not able to do a full chip erase and am not able to any other program (for example led test or UART test example).Kindly help me out in the clear procedure on how to revert back the option byte configuration to the default one. Thanks for the support

Hello everyone,I need to get some information about the power consumption of the STM32 Nucleo-64 with STM32F401RE MCU.The board is powered from the computer's USB port.I created a project in which the main while loop is empty, all peripherals are disabled and the HCLK frequency (from PLLCLK with HSI PLL source mux) is 84 MHz.I used a USB Digital Tester J7-c (between the board and the pc's USB port) and I obtained this values:5.04 V; 0.05 A; 0.29 W; 92 Ω.Changing the HCLK frequency from 84 MHz to 42 MHz, I obtain this values:5.04 V; 0.04 A; 0.25 W; 108 Ω.But if I use the PCC (Power Consumption Calculator) tool with these step parameters (RUN mode, power scale: scale2, memory fetch type: flash, VDD: 3.3 V, voltage source: battery, CPU freq.: 84 MHz, all peripherals disabled) I get a step consumption of 20.2 mA (= 0.0202 A).Instead, with these step parameters (RUN mode, power scale: scale3, memory fetch type: flash, VDD: 3.3 V, voltage source: battery, CPU freq.: 42 MHz, all peripherals d

I'm looking into calculating the timings for the brk filters for the TIM1 periphery. Mentioned there is the "tim_ker_ck" and the "tim_pclk" respectively.I cannot seem to find any information on where these come from. The clock tree in the RM says that TIM1 is connected to the APB2 using PCLK2, however there's nothing on how PCLK2 translates to tim_ker_ck or tim_pclk.

Hi community,I build and program both CM without error and debugger configuration as in the AN5361 .The Nucleo- runs with maximum frequency  480 MHz, and Power supply:  HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_SMPS_2V5_SUPPLIES_LDO);  __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE2);  I am debugging the CM7 however I'm not able to debug CM4 and have this error : Starting server with the following options:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Hello,I have a very strange behaviour with the I2C bus of a STM32G431.I try to communicate with a MLX90393 of Melexis. I had some problems to get the measurements, after a Start measurement. The MLX90393 returned an error code. So I checked the signal with a signal analyzer. The signal look like this:  So the voltage of the SCL signal in white (digital measure at the top and analogue at the bottom) has a voltage drop to 1.6V at the end of the frame ! What is strange is that for other frames I've absolutely no problem. For example here I try to get the measurement from the sensor: The SCL signal is stable until the end.SCL and SDA are pull up on my board with 10k resistors and the frequency is set at 100kHz.I had previously used a STM32F334 on the 1st version of my board with all the same components (only the tracks are of cours a little bit different because the footprints of the F334 and the G431 are a little bit different) and I had absolutely no problems.I am able to w

hi come across these code using register programing, STM32F411 Nucleo bd, anyone can advise how does the (AF07<<4) and (AF07<<8) relate to UART2 PA2 & PA3? please advise..  #define AF07 0x07 GPIOA->AFR[1]|=(AF07<<4)|(AF07<<8); //ALT7 for UART2 (PA2 and PA3)

Hi,I have read thoroughly RM0454, STM32G070CB datasheet and AN4187 in order to understand how to configure the DMA and DMAMUX in order to feed the CRC peripheral with FLASH data using the DMA (with CPU it is working but way slower than expected).I don't understand how to start the DMA requests through software, is there anyone who had successfully done it on G0 ?P.S. I don't do Cube and I don't want to do it for various reasons...

however, pwm1 doesn't output pulses. I think timer1 stop comparing output if calling Stop() function. Anyone has idea to implement this? Thank you.

Angle of incidence webinar question follow up… Original question - What angle of incidence performance information is available for these devices?  More detail - For multizone FlightSense sensors, looking into the corner of two walls for example or at a concave/convex  surface, each zone is not perpendicular to the sensor.  At high angles of incidence I assume the distance result from that zone will the average across the area of the zone.  Is that correct?  I'm assuming that at very high angles the histogram function might start to come into play, perhaps not, but if so what angle would the histogram function start to think there were multiple targets?  Or does the histogram functionality recognize that the distribution is kind of linear so the surface it's viewing must be at some angle?  If it does recognize that it's at an angle does it use this information for the average distance to the surface and or to calculate the estimated centroid of the su

Hi,I have a project based on MIPOT 32001506xxx radio module. The 32001506xxx is a multi-protocol sub-GHz radio module based on STM32WL55JC microcontroller.I need an example to follow to help me use the radio module as a "simple" LoRa modem. Thanks in advance

Hello All   I am using zephyr RTOS on NUCLEO-F767ZI board.  I am considering using the NUCLEO-F767ZI board to use GNSS data. Is there a Zephyr driver for X-NUCLEO-GNSS2A1?   Regards TaeHo

For use with STM32WLE5JC, since I do not need I2C bridge and expandsion, will V3MiniE better than STLink-V3SET?  MiniE higher SWO 24MHz vs 16MHz in slower V3SET.  MiniE is 2 years younger.  TIA

Hello allI have a STM32H730 project on a custom board.I have two W25Q16JW 2MB Flash connected to the OctalSPI in Dual-Quad mode.I have created a Flashloader ".stdlr" for my external Flash - its all working great in Cube Programmer and I can erase/program/debug a application from CubeIDE too.I have an Application program running in my External Flash (XIP mode) - I can debug this project fine.I have a small Bootloader program running in internal STM Flash (128K Flash) - I can debug this project fine. My issue is when trying to debug both .elf files going from from Bootloader to Application.(Reference : https://github.com/ethanhuanginst/STM32CubeIDE-Workshop-2019/tree/master/hands-on/09_BOOT-APP)I can start CubeIDE debugging in the Bootloader, step through my code and place breakpoints, but when I step into the Application and try and single step, or place a Breakpoint, I get this message; Error: Failed to set breakpoint at address: 0x90003da8.Error: Failed to set more brea

Hello TouchGFX Community,As part of my project, I'm developing a menu system within a TouchGFX application. The menu is intended to display either ToggleButtons or standard Buttons based on configurations set by the user. The aim is for the UI to dynamically adapt to these configurations, showcasing different functionalities as per the user preferences.I have read, that creating UI components dynamically on the screen at runtime is forbidden by TouchGFX design, however I've been exploring the possibility of dynamically generating these components before the screen initializes, tailored to the user's setup.I've had success with dynamically creating buttons pre-initialization, but only when they are of the same type, so I could keep them in the same array/vector.I know that the other route would be to predetermine all possible buttons in the .hpp file and manage their visibility according to user configurations, but I would prefer to avoid this method to save some of that memory.Given th
