I'm creating a new USB device with a custom USB class on an STM32F779NIH.  We have previously developed a fully operational device doing the same thing with USB full speed, now we're trying to do the same with USB highspeed using an external ULPI. I'm reasonably certain the issue is firmware not hardware.The overall scheme is using bulk transfers to send data out at a periodic rate, say 1ms for example, so 8 microframes will elapse before data is sent back to a read request. The PC read function will blocks until it receives that data which creates a timing loop that turns out is quite resilient compared to Windows timers. Anyway, back to this device, when I run my user application, it will generate a read request for which the device will return a response after 1ms with a set of data which is correctly decoded.  This is repeated 8 times, but on the 8th packet, my device returns no data and a status of 0xC0000011 (which is a USBD_STATUS_XACT_ERROR) according to WireShark:&nb

Hi All,Im working with a Custom board using STM32h743 and an RGB Display with ST7796 driver.I'm configuring SPI to send the right settings to the display for working with RGB pins on LTDC.In effect I done the 90% of work but I don't understand the reason of the effect on the below image:Display draw the screen with wrong pixels: it seems shifted.The original screen created with TouchGFX Designer is:Whitch parameter is the cause of this effect?Does someone has some suggestions?Thanks a lot?

Hi, Can the VBAT pin on this part be left floating? I currently have the pin disconnected. Or should it be tied to VDD or GND in order for the part to function properly?  Thanks,

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.I'm starting a new project using the STM32H573I-DK kit, where I would have to connect to AWS and publish the value of some sensors. The first step was following the webinar https://content.st.com/stm32h5-connects-smart-things-in-a-secure-way.html, I managed to proceed to the part of the video that set the end_point, however, gave the following error:After noticing this error, I tried to check via code what could be happening. Then I realized that it was not possible to debug the code, researching a little I found that you need to put the keys in to enter debug mode, as seen in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOBXqUg-PQs, I did the procedure, however, I still cannot enter debug mode, can anyone help me?Below are the debug configurations used:Thanks in advance!

I chose STM32H753IIT6 MCU for my project. I had set the clock prescaler of ADC to "Asynchronous clock mode divided by 1", and the ADC clock source is PLL2P, 36MHz.The code was generated successfully. However, I found that the sampling rate is half of the theoretical value.I migrate the same code to one STM32H743 developing board, all settings are the same with the STM32H753 project. Everything works properly.Then I set the frequency of PLL2P to 72MHz, CubeMX set the prscaler to "Asynchronous clock mode divided by 2" automatically. I changed it back to "ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1" manually in my code. ADC still works fine and the sampling rate is correct then.Is this a bug?My CubeMX version: 6.4HAL version: 1.9.1

Hi,I've been trying to adapt the current SPI driver in RIOT OS to support the U5 series(STM32U585AI), due to my lack of success I've been trying to sidestep RIOT for a moment and try to do must of the setup manually. But so far I have not been able to get SPI3 to output anything, not even an SCLK signal, leading me to believe that I've just missed something simple like some clock domain etc.  My approach so far:enable HSI clockenable VddIO2select HSI timer for SPI3enable SPI3 peripheralenable GPIO ports B & Greset SPI3 CR1write SPI3 CFG1, CFG2, CR2set SPE, SSI bits in CR1set CSTART in CR1read write to TXDR, RXDRHowever step 8, specifically setting the SPE is where the problem becomes apparent, the SPE bit does not stay enabled. Does anyone have any hints on where to look to get this running? Snippiet I've been using so far, spi_init* and stmclk_enable* are provied by RIOT:   stmclk_enable_hsi(); stmclk_enable_lfclk(); // spi_init(0); // spi_init_pins(0);

Dear all,In the last weeks we have started the production process of a specific equipment, using the new microcontroller STM32G031C6 and unfortunettly we have faced some problems after the programming process.The problem is that some devices were apparently corrupted by removing programmer cable before disconnecting the microcontroller (or because a bad connection) and there is no way to recover them.This is the logging information of Jlink programmer:Connecting ... - Connecting via USB to probe/ programmer device 0 - Probe/ Programmer firmware: J-Link Ultra V4 compiled Sep 22 2022 15:00:10 - Probe/ Programmer S/N: 504502941 - Device "STM32G031C6" selected. - Target interface speed: 4000 kHz (Fixed) - VTarget = 3.323V - InitTarget() start - SWD selected. After poking around a bit more in the STM32CubeIDE code, I'm seeing a pattern of issues that indicate a serious lack of understanding on the part of the authors of the shipping BSP code. This code was written several years ago, but it is the shipping version and suffers from serious performance problems due entirely to the inexperience of the authors. A good example: Taken from (STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.17.1/Drivers/BSP/Components/st7735) In the st7735_WritePixel() function below, the author is creating 2 unique SPI transactions to send the 16 bits of the pixel color instead of sending a single 2 byte transaction. This wouldn't be such a big deal except that other graphics primitives depend on this function (e.g. DrawVLine() below).The DrawVLine() function takes 2 orders or magnitude longer than needed simply because the author doesn't understand how Sitronix LCD controllers use memory windows to control the write pointer. It naively calls the WritePixel function and comp

Hello people.First of all... I haven't worked with screen displays before, sorry if this post sounds dumb:Now that I said the above:I want to interact with any ST board GPIO through GUI buttons. I also want to do this on a "big" touch screen with great quality and not the 2-3" LCD screens that usually come with the boards.1. Where can I find 10" LCD screens with great quality for this purpose? 2. Which IDE will be better to draw the GUI? I have seen many, some are free and some are not (I use CubeIDE for everything not related to screens).3. How can I communicate the GUI buttons with any ST board? Is it by I2C? Or I should instead use the GPIO of the board that runs the screen?I hope I made myself clear enough to get pointed to the right direction.Thanks for your time.

Hi!Are there any RMGII routing guidelines for the STM32MP151XXX series that are available for use?I have a Realtek RTL8211F-CG Ethernet PHY and I don't know how long the RX and TX lines should be.

Hai All, I am facing an issue on USB File system accessing. Here I am using ULPI protocol for accessing the USB Drive via USB3300 IC.Here I am using an Interrupt method for detecting the USB drive. When we connect, interrupt is happening and File directory is loading.After few seconds or any other operation, if we try to access the file system in USB DISK ERROR is coming.Files are accessing using FatFs and the same FatFs is using for SD crad.Here using SPI protocol and no issues are facing. After analyzing the ff.c file which is generated by Cube IDE, I am getting the macro SS(fr) ( Sector Size )  as Zero. This is the reason that File directory is unable to fetch.But this problem is not in SD crad .How to rectify this issue.

Hello all, I'm new to ST Microcontrollers, and I'm currently facing a challenge in programming the board I'm using, which is the AEK-MCU-C1MLIT1. The primary issue is that I don't have access to a simple pinout diagram for this board, making it difficult to configure and utilize its various components effectively. While I know the mapping for LED_3, LED_4, and LED_5, I'm uncertain about the mappings for other essential components like GPIO headers, available ports, switches, and their configurations for input/output operations. Configuring pins in the pinMap Editor is quite challenging without a proper understanding of the pinout and port mappings. I urgently need assistance in obtaining a simple and comprehensive pinout diagram for the AEK-MCU-C1MLIT1 board. Having access to this pinout diagram would greatly aid me in configuring pins accurately, identifying available ports, and understanding the mappings for components like switches and GPIO headers. This information is crucial for m

I'm working on code that uses the Windows DLL that came with the "Discovery kit for the ST25R3916B" and ST25DV04K tags.The tag is hosted within an embedded system, and I'm working on Windows PC software that communicates with the EVAL boards/reader.In the tag data sheet I noticed a section titled "interface arbitration" that seems to imply that the RF and i2c inbterfaces are mutually exclusive. This potentially has some rather interesting implications. Is this something I need to worry about when using the DLL in Windows, or is it all handled correctly by the DLL? Since there is neither source code nor documentation for the DLL I cannot determine this for myself, but I suspect I might be running into some issues when the tag is hosted by a slower device.Regards,Tim long

Hello everyone.Is it possible to directly replace STM32H743VIT6 processor with STM32H743ZIT6 without changing the program code? Will there be any differences in the performance of the DSP device with this processor?Thanks in advance for your reply, Chris.

Hi, STM experts, This question is regarding STM32L4 series MCU. It is about DMA controller's trigger.Let's say we have two DMA channel, DMA_A and DMA_B. Is it possible to configure the system so that when DMA_A's task is finished, DMA_A send a trigger to start DMA_B which is programmed with a different task. In the whole process, we expect that there is no CPU involvement.Thanks!// JC1985

I have an H755ZL and so I downloaded CubeIDE and CubeMX to begin familiarizing myself. I am unable to install the cubeMX H7 package so I cannot generate any code for my MCU. In either CubeIDE or CubeMX when I go to "manage embedded software" nothing happens. I also cannot login as nothing happens when I click that either.

Dear ST Community,I'm hoping to get some help identifying the manufacturer, year, and month of manufacturing for an STM32f103c8t6 microcontroller I have. The part number on the chip is 991KA 93 MYS A03.I've searched the code online and in the datasheet, but I haven't been able to find any information about the manufacturing date. Could you please advise on how to identify this information from the code or if there's another method to determine the manufacture date and year?

So I need to have a screen with a scroll list in which different elements will appear depending on the amount of elements stored in the local database. I want each line to have 3 elements, so my question is, how is this ment to be in touchGFX? I have designed a custom container that has one element but I dont get how this expands downwards, I mean, I have set the list to expand to the right, but i want it to grow another line when an elemnt doesnt fit in the same line. And i want it to be scrollable vertically not horizontally I don't get how this is supposed to be done, the only thing i can think of is creating a clone of the same container under the current container but I think this is a bad solution.

Hi, I am trying to develop a mobile java application using the ST25R3911B-DISCO and saw that ST offered the ST25SDK to help. When looking deeper into the SDK, I saw that there are some reference implementations using the ST25R3911-DISCO but one of the limitations is that it is only supported in 32-bit configuration. I was wondering why this is as there is a PC GUI that works on Windows 64-bit and if there is a way I can try to edit it to make it compatible with different platforms.

In STM32Cube, how do you word search for a particular function among dozens of HAL, middleware source files?  How to find MX_APPE_Process(); as appear in main() in main.c  TIA

Hi everyone,I'm new to the NFC field so please bear with me for these beginner questions.We have an IoT device and its main board is the ESP32 board.Previously we connected to a PN532 breakout board to encrypt/write and read from Mifare DESFire EV1 cards. But since the boards do not have RED certification so we are searching for alternative modules at STMicroelectronics.I'm having a look at this board X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1. I see it has the RED certification. But, is it the correct NFC writer/reader that I should use? Because I see in the picture "for evaluation only". If not.. what should we purchase to write/read with NFC smart cards?On the other hand, what is the NFC card that you officially support? I'm checking here for the NFC cards but it looks like these are only the 'chips' of the cards (not the ready-made cards to give out to end-users instantly?)Thank you all in advanced.Lam.

Hi,I'm using the internal EEPROM bank 0 for the STM32L073 chip located at 0x08080000 (as per the user manual).  After writing my data (less than 1K; and bank 0 has 3K capacity) and trying to enter into debug mode, system refuses to do so:(BTW: such log file isn't created: tmp/STM...log)In order to bring the chip back from this brick mode I need to apply a mass erase operation using the STM32CubeProgrammer:And then I can enter into the debug mode again: The code for writing into the EEPROM is:#define EEPROM_BASE_ADDR 0x08080000 bool write_( uint16_t data_address, const uint8_t* buffer, uint16_t len ) { HAL_StatusTypeDef ret_val = HAL_OK; HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Unlock(); for( uint16_t i = 0; i < len and ret_val == HAL_OK; ++buffer, ++i ) { ret_val = HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Program( FLASH_TYPEPROGRAMDATA_BYTE, (uint32_t)(EEPROM_BASE_ADDR + data_address + i), static_cast<uint32_t>(*buffer) ); } HAL_FLASHEx_DATAEEPROM_Lock(); return ret_val == HAL_
