This is on a STM32H723ZGT6 Ok for testing i went to a blank project with only the usb turned on. Set asUSB OTG HSDEVICE ONLYHIDUsing the defaults for everything. With no optimization it works and shows up correctly. With any kind of optimization turned on it wont show up in device manager but i can see in "USB DEVICE VIEWER" tool that its being seen by the computer, everything is read correctly but it has the error "*!*ERROR: No open pipes!" and it has 0 listed for open pipes. Maybe a bad assumption but I would assume with it working correctly with no optimization and then not working with optimization that this is not a physical issue but more of the compiler doing something weird? Sometimes i also get a "low power" error as well to the no pipes but i always get the no pipes error. Any thoughts, ideas or rabbit trails for me to go down would be much appreciated as I'm lost not being very experienced with usb. Thanks!

Hi everyone,I am currently working on controlling a stepper motor using a PWM signal. I want to dynamically update the speed of the motor using different ARR and CCR1 values. Controlling the stepper works fine until an uncertain amount of time when the PWM signal appears to disappear completely. I have read that something like enabling the preload register should help but this still doesn't fix my problem. Here is my code so far: #include "main.h" #define C #define F_CLK 24000000 uint16_t arr_from_freq(uint16_t freq){ return F_CLK/(freq*(TIM2->PSC+1)) - 1; } int main(void){ EPL_SystemClock_Config(); // Enable the GPIOA and TIM2 peripherals RCC->AHBENR |= RCC_AHBENR_GPIOAEN; RCC->APB1ENR |= RCC_APB1ENR_TIM2EN; // Set the mode of the GPIOA pin 5 to alternate function mode 2 GPIOA->MODER |= GPIO_MODER_MODER5_1; GPIOA->OSPEEDR |= GPIO_OSPEEDER_OSPEEDR5; GPIOA->AFR[0] |= 0b0010 << 20; // Disable the timer before setting the prescaler

Hi allI would like to create 2 virtual COM ports (VCPs) using the CDC class in USBX. The .ioc only allows for one unique PID and VID, but it appears that multiple interfaces can be created of the same class.I want to know if it is possible to create two interfaces with the CDC class, using the USBX peripheral, and to assign a unique PID/VID to each one, instead of the same PID/VID, but different interface numbers. It appears impossible using the .ioc file alone, but can it be done somewhere in code? The end result I am hoping for is to have something like this:VCP_NR_ONE (COM1) with hardware ids: VID → 0x1234 PID →0x4567VCP_NR_TWO (COM2) with hardware ids: VID → 0x1234 PID → 0x7890while still using only the USB_OTG_HS peripheral on the STM32U5A5Thanks☺

Hello, I am trying to use the TensorFlow Lite Micro library for my project in STM32CubeIDE.I have made a folder for the library in my project as shown: I have included the directory for the folder in under the "Path and Symbols" tab:When I simply try to include one of the header files in the Core/main.c code I receive this message:When I then also try to adding the Source Location:I recieve even more errors. Where most of the errors are: "No such file or directory". See image: I have also trying the folder location in the C/C++ Build settings under MCU GCC Linker/Libraries, but with no success: Does anyone know how to fix this problem or have any tips? Thank you.

Greetings,I am trying to set TIM16 on 1us period but the smallest period I am able to achieve is 4us here is the values of my prescaler and auto-reload register(ARR). I am working with the HAL.SysClk = 170MHzPSC = 16 (+1 will be added) ARR = 9 (+1 will be added) So the counter period is: SysClk/(PSC + 1)(ARR+1)  => 170Mhz/(16+1)(9+1) = 1MhzI am expected to be at the callback (HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback) function at this frequency but instead I am at 250KhzI am pretty sure this timer should be able to go to 1us period and even smaller than that. What am I doing wrong????

Hi,I built a telnet server using lwip on FreeRTOS. I based my code on the LwIP_HTTP_Server_Netconn_RTOS example. Now, I want to use the connection to relay/send data to the client from different places in my program but for this, I need to know the state of the connection (if  aclient is connected or not). I've tried the following but turns out, conn-> state always stays NETCONN_NONE even when a client is connected, i.e. that's not the way to do it:void relay_str_to_socket(char *pch, int sz){    struct netconn *conn = {0};    conn = curr_con_get();    if (conn->state != NETCONN_NONE) {      if (netconn_err(conn) == ERR_OK) {        netconn_write(conn, pch, sz, NETCONN_NOCOPY);      }    }}void telnet_server_serve(struct netconn *conn) {    struct netbuf *inbuf;    err_t recv_err;    char* buf;    u16_t buflen;    char *resp_ok = "OK,

I have an Arduino Giga (STM32H7). I'm trying to generate an interrupt on the Catch/Compare even of TIM5_CH3. TIM5 is set to one pulse mode and triggered as a slave to TIM1, they generate some PWMs; everything is working absolutely fine there. Also, I've successfully used the CC interrupt of TIM1, and now I'm trying to do the same for TIM5, which only has a global interrupt handler. I've reduced my program to its simplest form for demonstration purposes:  TIM5->DIER = 0; //disable all interrups on TIM5 TIM5->SR = 0; //set all flags down TIM5->DIER |= TIM_DIER_CC3IE; //enable interrupt from CH3 NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM5_IRQn); //enable TIM5 ISR // I don't set the priority here, doesn't seem to matter extern "C" void TIM5_IRQHandler(void){ TIM5->SR = 0; //set all flags to 0 again }  For some reason, this makes the board unresponsive. I feel like I'm missing something obvious, even though this feels very safe. Only CH3 can generate an interrupt, which i

Dear friends,FreeRTOS are supporting SMP functionalities that enables to run FreeRTOS Kernel in only one core and schedule tasks on multiple cores.https://www.freertos.org/symmetric-multiprocessing-introduction.html I am trying to use it, but it looks like the SPC5 FreeRTOS Component does not have the FreeRTOS SMP API.Please, someone already used the FreeRTOS SMP functionality? How to update the SPC5 FreeRTOS Component to the latest FreeRTOS release?Best regards.

Hello,I would like to know if is it possible to load an array data (from a text file or something like that) while debugging.Imagine to have the array int data[100];I would like to be able to fill it (while debugging) with values generated by me.Is there a way to do that? Thanks in advance

All STM32 CortexM7 and M33 have a ADI V2 debug unit. ADI V2 requires Multi-drop support, so that several SWD devices can be connected to SWD in parallel. Only with an activation sequence including the target-ID of that device to use selects the device for debuging. Do Stlink debuggers support multi-drop?

Hi, We want to use now the STM32H5 for future projects. In the past, we used STM32F4 with enabled SWO for debugging. Is there any example available to get this feature working for STM32H503? Would be great to do it on register level to be independent from IDE...I've already read this thread: Solved: Re: STM32H7 SWO printf not working - Page 3 - STMicroelectronics CommunityBut I'm not sure about the differences between H5 and H7 Thanks for your help,André

Hello,Just wondering if anyone knows the reason for the duplicate writes to the following registers in the HAL Ethernet code please?ETH->MACCRETH->MACFCRETH->DMAOMRETH->DMABMRIn the example shown below (from HAL code) the DMA0MR register is written to, then read back, 1 msec delay and then written to.I've taken note of the need for the 4 clock cycle delay, however is it necessary to perform the duplicate writes? Thanks in advance.Edit: I'm using Cube FW F4 v1.28.   /*----------------------- ETHERNET DMAOMR Configuration --------------------*/ /* Get the ETHERNET DMAOMR value */ tmpreg1 = (heth->Instance)->DMAOMR; /* Clear xx bits */ tmpreg1 &= ETH_DMAOMR_CLEAR_MASK; tmpreg1 |= (uint32_t)(((uint32_t)((dmaconf->DropTCPIPChecksumErrorFrame == DISABLE) ? 1U : 0U) << 26U) | ((uint32_t)dmaconf->ReceiveStoreForward << 25U) | ((uint32_t)((dmaconf->FlushRxPacket == DISABLE) ? 1U : 0U) << 20U) | ((uint32_t)dmaconf->Transm

Hi,I want to build a library for rfal and ndef from https://www.st.com/en/nfc/st25r3916b.html and use it with nRF connect SDK https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-software/nRF-Connect-SDKWhat is the proper way to build a static library? Thanks.

Hi,I had previously set up a USB serial  communication that has been working with multiple STM32 types and in multiple projects. With the latest update to STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.15.0 Build: 20695_20240315_1429 (UTC) I had a problem.Problem: unassigned variable warnings in USB_DEVICE/App/usbd_desc.c when tried to build the project. The project runs but the COM port number changes with each restart of the MCU which is very inconvenient for practical use. Workaround: In the file USB_DEVICE/App/usbd_desc.c edit the routine starting to replace the missing commands as per below.I hope this helps. Maybe it could be fixed in a new release.H. /*** @brief Create the serial number string descriptor* @param None* @retval None*/static void Get_SerialNum(void){uint32_t deviceserial0;uint32_t deviceserial1;uint32_t deviceserial2; deviceserial0 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID1; // Missingdeviceserial1 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID2; // Missingdeviceserial2 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID3; // Missing

Hi,I want to use random number.But, the same random number is generated each time it is run.When I debug the code below, W change with the same pattern every time I debug. What's the problem and is there any solution to make random number which is not depend on the order?   /* USER CODE BEGIN 0 */double uniform_rand(){return (double)rand()/((double)RAND_MAX + 1);}/* USER CODE END 0 */  int main(void) {/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */srand(time(NULL));/* USER CODE END 2 */ while {W = uniform_rand();}}

I think I've spot a small bug into the cube mx code generation tool for STM_WPAN moduleinto app_debug.c in function  void DbgOutputTraces( uint8_t *p_data, uint16_t size, void (*cb)(void) ) { /* USER CODE END DbgOutputTraces */ HW_UART_Transmit_DMA(CFG_DEBUG_TRACE_UART, p_data, size, cb); /* USER CODE END DbgOutputTraces */ return; }  There is 2 "END" tags the first one should be a BEGINdue to this everything you wrote between both tag that should be kept when generating code from IOC file is scrapedthank's for the help

Where can I find the DSP library for the STMF7 processors? In the CMSIS DSP Software Library documentation I read that I can use the arm_cortexM7lfsp_math.lib (Little endian and Single Precision Floating Point Unit on Cortex-M7). On the website of ST (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32-standard-peripheral-libraries.html?querycriteria=productId=LN1939) it only goes up to F4.

Hello, I have a NUCLEO-G491Re development board, and I would like to program my external board using the development board's ST-Link. Could you please guide me on how to do that? Thank you

Hi i am planning to use internal comparator. The propagation delay for comparators are 31nS which is at 25 deg CCan you please let me know what is the all drifts and all propagation at 125 Deg C? Thanks

Hi :)Problem: STM32F030R8T6 device not found.ErrorMsg in CubeProgrammer: "No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication."ErrorMsg in CubeIde: "Error in initializing ST-LINK device. Reason: No device found on target."Setup: I made a breakout-board for an STM32F030R8T6. The board only carries the µC and spreads out the pins to use on a breadboard. I connected all VSS and VDD pins and used 0.1µF capacitors as close as possible to the µC. I connected the ST-Link-V2 as follows:VSS -> any GND pinVDD -> any 3V3 pinNRST -> NRST  (pin 7) (not sure if I need to connect the pin somehow aside from the debugger)SWDIO -> SWDIO (pin 46) 220Ohm PullupSWCLK -> SWCLK (pin 49) 220Ohm PulldownI tried BOOT0 pin pulled low or high, both didn't work.I double and tripple checked my connections. I am using the right pins on both sides and the µC has power.  -------------------------------------------------

My updates schematic in this pin number 11 is now connected to gnd not to VDD This My schematic for your reference This is the error in cube MX. previously I had similar issue that time it was because of power supply.I don't know what the mistake in this design please help me solve this.I tried using both stlink v2 & segger jlink for programming.Kindly help in verifying power supply area in my design.

We are testing the app on a newer mobile and encountered this issue:Calling this function will cause the application to crash:mFtmCommands = new FtmCommands(mST25DVTag);The problem is in this procedure:private void setMaxTransmissionSize() { if (this.mST25DVTag != null) { this.mMaxTransceiveSize = this.mST25DVTag.getReaderInterface().getMaxTransmitLengthInBytes(); if (this.mUseAddressedMode) { this.mMaxTransmissionSize = Math.min(this.mMaxTransceiveSize - 12, 256); } else { this.mMaxTransmissionSize = Math.min(this.mMaxTransceiveSize - 4, 256); } }}specifically this line:this.mMaxTransceiveSize = this.mST25DVTag.getReaderInterface().getMaxTransmitLengthInBytes();If the mobile phone is close to the NFC antenna, the problem does not occur, if the phone is out of range, the application crashes.(There is not problem on the older Android Version 9...)

I've got an black pill with STM32F411CEU6 on it, I plan to simply use it for a single purpose: reading ADC at near full capacity and transfer values to PC via USB. After investigating around F411 product page on st.com, I've found that:ADCin product definition it is stated:1×12-bit, 2.4 MSPS A/D converter: up to 16 channelsSo, without transfer protocol overhead, i needs minimum of 2.4*12=28.8 Mb/s equal to 3.6 MB/s bandwidth to transfer data into PC.USBin product definition also it is stated:Advanced connectivity: USB 2.0 full-speed device/host/OTG controller with on-chip PHYfrom the definition of USB2FS (full speed), i can understand the maximum speed is 12Mb/s (equal to 1.5 MB/s). Main QuestionSo data rate from ADC is about 29Mb/s but maximum data rate from USBFS is 12Mb/s.Is there any method which i can send full ADC data from my black pill to PC, and preferably without external components (like discovery boards)?Thanksfoot note:It STM32F411 product page, USB2FS (12Mb/s) i
