So, which is correct and which is wrong? The same is in RM313 for 'F37x.Would those who wrote/modified AN4232 pay more attention to checking the facts through actually writing test cases, rather than applying the "modern feel and look", this must have caught their attention. AN4232 should also mention the dramatic increase in power consumption of the COMP modules in 'G4, compared to 'F3.@Vincent Onde - a prime example of why it's in ST's interest of write dozens of appnotes per module, together with concise software examples; instead of just copy/pasting from RM and rephrasing.JW

Hi all,as I'm new to TouchGFX I'm struggeling on a problem hat does not look difficult at first glance. My problem:On screen_1 there is a Text Area allowes the use to enter a string as input. The entered string is needed on screen_2. As far as I know, this has to be done via model files (cpp and hpp).I tried to setup a variable (Unicode::UnicodeChar string_A[10]) in model.hpp but unfortunately I get a compiler error "Unicode....... is not declared.. ) although I have included Unicode.hpp (#include <touchgfx/Unicode.hpp>) in model.hpp.I looked at tutorial 3 which shows me how to get integer values from one screen to another and it works. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this problem.Thx in advance

Hello,I use STM32H750XBH6, DataSheet 'Absolute maximum ratings' say that 'Output current sunk by Px_C pins' is 1mAWhat does Px C mean? Does it mean all the pins of GPIOC?Or something else? Thanks!

I'm running the following git source on the NUCLEO-G071RB with NUCLEO-GFX01M2.GitHub - lvgl/lv_port_stm_nucleo_g071rb: LVGL ported to ST's NUCLEO G071RB boardBut, I got an error at the cursor location from the attached figure (LCD Error 1.png).The return value of "data" from st7789v_recv_data function was all 0.I'm not sure this is correct. I guess there should be some values in it.When I run the X-Cube-Display sample program, I got the same error. Please let me know what cause this kind of error.

I'm using STM32CubeMX and Visual Studio Code. After generating a CMake project with X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX selected using STM32CubeMX, I then go to the .part file to create a UI, but when I click Generate Code it shows this error:  Generate Code Generate Done Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 Reading ./application.config Reading ./target.config Done Post Generate touchgfx update_project --project-file=simulator/msvs/Application.vcxproj Done Post Generate Target touchgfx update_project unsupported toolchain: CMake ProjectManager.ToolChainLocation Failed Failed

Hi allI am currently developing a product that uses a TFT display.  The product uses the following:STM32F469ZITxTouchGFX v4.23.2TFT Module 320 x 240, LTDC RGB565 (16 bits), ST7272Very often, when displaying text in a TextArea, some of the initial characters look as though they have been erased, as shown below:The first word should read 'SAFETY'Sometimes, this reads correctly, eg by cycling through my screens and back to this one.All of the other items on the screens such as images, buttons, icons etc display with no problems at all.  It's just the TextAreas that are affected. The font used is Verdana, as supplied in TouchGFX.Any help with this would be most welcome.

I want to generate a code for STM32F767ZI but this MCU is not supported in the STM Motor Control workbench V5.4.8.Available STM32F7 family MCUs in Workbench are STM32F746 and STM32F769. I have generated code for the STM32F746 and flashed that code into STM32F767ZI but it is not working. From some online help, it was found that both MCUs are the same and one can flash the code interchangeably into controllers. Questions:1- Is this possible to flash the code of STM32F746 into STM32F767ZI? If yes, why my code is not working even though I flashed the code into STM32F767ZI, still, I am still unable to build a communication between the Monitor window of Workbench. The COM port is not detecting. 2- if not possible, then should I have to buy a supported microcontroller? Thanks and RegardsNoman

HiI am trying to configure the accelerometer sensor to read the data polling  as the example suggested in githubWhen I try to read /* Read output only if new value is available */lis2dw12_flag_data_ready_get(&dev_ctx, &reg); At initial the drdy will be high after that I am reading the lis2dw12_acceleration_raw_get(&dev_ctx, data_raw_acceleration);  once reading this register the drdy value must be 0 but it is high and its reading this continuously.is there any register I have to check and we have placed this sensor with different MCU and I am new to STM community. Thanks,

I upgraded stm32cubeIDE about a month ago, but since then, the readability of the theme has become very poor when looking at the ioc file. Can I revert to the previous one? Befire  After

Hi all,I have touchgfx project which has many pictures, so I must store them in the SD card.I follow the touchGFX document and I meet some issue. The document said:We can extract the binary data for the bitmaps from the .elf file with a simple objcopy command: $ arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe --dump-section ExtFlashSection=images.bin TouchGFX/build/bin/target.elf $ ls -l images.bin -rw-r--r-- 1 christef Administrators 147136 Feb 20 11:56 images.bin However, I didn't find the ELF file in the path TouchGFX/build/bin/target.elf; And the MDK IDE can't generate the ELF(replaced by AXF file); When I try to use the AXF file, the command above is returned error(I also try to rename the AXF to ELF):How to split the AXF? Or is there some tools can split the hex file by address? Thanks for your help, have a luck day!

hello,  I'm working on ST25DV64KC, especially on FTM mailbox function and EH power supply. Current situation is I need to test maxium frequency avaliable for supplied by EH(STM32L476VGT6 with ST25DV64KC) while communicating through mailbox(FTM). The plan is to modificate FTM part(of DISCOVERY firmware), and remove all related part of LCD/Touch screen source code, let a data transfer triggered by SW1 button and also compatibility the protocal  used on Andriod app.  However, I found it difficult to use the firmware on FTM because of lack of documentation of the part of source code, as it highly abstracted. So i wonder if there is other way（like some other example project/code provided) or a detailed docmutation i can refer to? thx  analysis only on code is suffering :(

Hi,Got a new MCU with LSI2 from the distributor. I want to use it for the 2.4 GHz RADIO sleep timer, but can't find LSI2 register settings in STM32CubeMX.Additionally, I'm curious why the STM32CubeWBA version V1.3 doesn't support the STM32WBA52 series product. Sincerely. Eric

Hello everyone. I want to understand the CORDIC engine, using the nucleo-u575zi board. The guide says that the cordic uses data in q1.31 format. Could please someone explain how to convert results into an ordinary int value? And how to convert an int value into a q1.31 value for loading into the cordic?

Hi,I need to add OTA functionality to a CubeMX generated project. The readme.txt file from the BLE_HeartRate_ota project has a note saying "Remove the update of SCB->VTOR in the file system_stm32wbxx.c". On my current CubeMX generated project the SCB->VTOR line is protected with a macro as follows: #if defined(USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS) /* Configure the Vector Table location add offset address ------------------*/ SCB->VTOR = VECT_TAB_BASE_ADDRESS | VECT_TAB_OFFSET; #endif /* USER_VECT_TAB_ADDRESS */ I am using CubeIDE and noticed that this macro is not defined by default, which doesn't make sense.Where is the VECT_TAB_BASE_ADDRESS defined? Is it OK to use another define macro to disable the line instead of deleting it? Asking this because comparing the BLE_HeartRate vs BLE_HeartRate_ota the lines were completely removed.

Hi,I have been struggling to get my head around the way custom container call backs work.I have a custom container that has three flex buttons, this container is then used on a single screenview multiple times.I'd like to be able to identify the flex button pushed along with knowing what custom container this came from. Sounded simple and i am sure it is, my head is just failing to get around the multiple files that this process spreads across.

Dear all,Apologies if this is a naïve post.I am trying to find a processor for the product that I am working on with larger RAM and FLASH but it must remain pin compatible to minimise code changes. The current processor is this "STM32F756ZGT6". With the current application its RAM is throttling at 100% and more features are still pending to be added. Therefore, if I can find another processor with the same pinout then the problem will be resolved.Any help would be appreciated please? Many thanks

in https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32cube-mcu-mpu-packages/stm32cubef4.html there are the MCU package and the patch, the first can be installed from CUBE IDE with "manage embedded software packages" but when I select the second the tool says that is not a compatible file

We are using STM32H743IIK6 microcontroller. There are analog only pins, designated as ANA. What is the use of these pins? Also, what will be the difference when GPIO is used for analog functionality and ANA pins are used for the same purpose?

Hi.I want to acquire data from a 5M pixel image sensor (for example OV5640) with YCbCr4:2:2, 8bit using DCMI.(I want to process the image data, so I need to transfer it to memory using DMA)However, AN5020 and RM0481 (Rev1) mention a maximum of 2048*2048, so I'm about to give up.This description seems to have disappeared in the latest RM0481(Rev2),, but I would like to know if the above description is accurate and if there is a limit on the input size.If you have any experience using it without any problems, I would appreciate any information.

Hi Team,I am working on a project involving the STM32H5 microcontroller and I am in need of information on how to manage the keys securely for encryption and decryption. I have been unable to find a document that covers this topic specifically for the STM32H5.Could you please provide me with information on how to manage the keys securely using STMCube Programmer, Trusted Package Creator (TPC), or any other methods available for the STM32H5?Thank you for your assistance.P.Hitesh

Dear Members,How can the speed of displaying the value of HAL_GPIO_ReadPin when reading a pwm signal be equivalent to the speed of displaying the value in another variable located outside WHILE ?I made a code to read the pwm signal to find out whether the pwm signal is in high mode or low mode using HAL_GPIO_ReadPin. When mode is high it will send a value of 1 and when mode is low it will send a value of 0. I tested it by reading a 1Hz frequency which has a duty cycle that changes every second starting from 10%, 30%, 50% and I set a delay of 100ms on WHILE.When I looked at the code output with UART, I saw that the time value in high mode for each duty cycle that the program read was correct. However, the number of values 1 appearing when reading one duty cycle does not correspond to the size of the duty cycle being read. Here are the results of the code output: DUTY CYCLE 10%[10:01:46:124] 1C | Ton_ms: 00099.90 | Ton_us: 99899.98 ␍␊[10:01:46:225] 1C | Ton_ms: 00099.90 |

Hi,When creating a custom template BLE app in CubeMX everything works fine while not changing the UUID of service1, it builds and compiles well. But if I change the UUID to my own UUID (with UUID 128 input type to full), after generating the new code an error pops up: undefined reference to `COPY_UUID_128'It appears the macro COPY_UUID_128 is missing now, after I add it myself in the USER CODE area, it compiles again (custom_stm.c):   #define COPY_UUID_128(uuid_struct, uuid_15, uuid_14, uuid_13, uuid_12, uuid_11, uuid_10, uuid_9, uuid_8, uuid_7, uuid_6, uuid_5, uuid_4, uuid_3, uuid_2, uuid_1, uuid_0) \ do {\ uuid_struct[0] = uuid_0; uuid_struct[1] = uuid_1; uuid_struct[2] = uuid_2; uuid_struct[3] = uuid_3; \ uuid_struct[4] = uuid_4; uuid_struct[5] = uuid_5; uuid_struct[6] = uuid_6; uuid_struct[7] = uuid_7; \ uuid_struct[8] = uuid_8; uuid_struct[9] = uuid_9; uuid_struct[10] = uuid_10; uuid_struct[11] = uuid_11; \ uuid_struct[12] = uuid_12; uuid_struct[13] = uuid_13;

I want to use STM32U5A5 SAI1 to generate via SAI1 a master I2S, with 24bit sample words.I need 24bit because sending out afterwards as S/PDIF (via SAI2) needs 24bit sample words (as I understand: SAI2 as S/PDIF Tx is "forced" to send as 24bit samples - only).I get just 16bit PCM or 32bit PCM, but not 24bit! WHY?My config: hsai_BlockA1.Instance = SAI1_Block_A; hsai_BlockA1.Init.AudioMode = SAI_MODEMASTER_RX; hsai_BlockA1.Init.Synchro = SAI_ASYNCHRONOUS; hsai_BlockA1.Init.OutputDrive = SAI_OUTPUTDRIVE_ENABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.NoDivider = SAI_MASTERDIVIDER_ENABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.FIFOThreshold = SAI_FIFOTHRESHOLD_EMPTY; hsai_BlockA1.Init.AudioFrequency = SAI_AUDIO_FREQUENCY_48K; hsai_BlockA1.Init.SynchroExt = SAI_SYNCEXT_DISABLE; //SAI_SYNCEXT_OUTBLOCKA_ENABLE; //SAI_SYNCEXT_DISABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.MckOutput = SAI_MCK_OUTPUT_DISABLE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.MonoStereoMode = SAI_STEREOMODE; hsai_BlockA1.Init.CompandingMode = SAI_NOCOMPANDING; hsai_BlockA1.Init.TriState = SAI_OUT
