Hello AllCurrent Device setup:-NUCLEO-G071RB Eval boardSTM32CubeMX settings please find the attached screenshots.I'm trying to generate PWM signal using [ TIM3 channel 3] in NUCLEO-G071RB Eval board.Time period is 28 microseconds and width are 3 microseconds. As you can see in the below [image 1 ]only the first pulse is different or corrupted, which gives 32 microseconds time period and width are 7 microseconds .From the second pulse , we are able to get the expected pulse as shown below [image 2] Time period is 28 microseconds and width are 3 microseconds.Same behaviour is observed in STM32Cube_FW_G0_V1.6.0 package code, given by STM32 Timer PWM output example code. Please provide the solution to resolve this issue. Image 1:- Image 2:-

I am trying to interface DAC for the STM32 MP157D-DK1 board I have. I am just curious does the board even support DAC. I dont see any mention of that in the datasheet. That is the only option that I can select when I do DAC Enable for M4 Cube in cube programmer. In NVIC settings only option is EXTI line 9 interrupt available for me to select.

Hello everyone,I am working on a STM32WB5MMDK. I already posted a question about the BSP example.I have few other questions about it.I wanted to replace the Button 1 by the Button 2 so I changed it in the main file (even the CallBack). I checked the other files and the configuration was the same for the two buttons, so i didn't think i should change anything, but it doesn't work. Moreover, I also wanted to test the Humidity and Pressure Sensors (I think it is included with the Temperature Sensor since it is written as a comment), but I can't make them work (i used the same program as the one for the temperature test and just change the parameters). So, I wanted to know if someone knew how to fix those issues but mostly if there were ressources to help understand the configuration (i prefer not to use a .ioc) because i don't really find the answers to my questions online. Thank you,Nour

Hello, I am using a Nucleo 144 F767zi Board.  I am try to get any command on the Virt COM Console. But I failed always. I tried very lot things from on youtube, on the Forum ... but I always failed.I see in the documentation um1974-stm32-nucleo144-boards-mb1137-stmicroelectronics.pdf6.9 USART communicationI see further that all pins are enabled by default. From my actual understanding, this means that the COM Port is not active because SB4 and SB7 are "ON" too?Is this correct? If this is true and I have to set SB4/SB7 off. How do I set SB4 and SB7 to OFF. I did found anything "how to change the state of a SB". Thanks for any hint to get the Console running. thanksbest regardsCarsten

I'm trying to use the STM32H563 HASH peripheral to speed up sha256 calculations. The examples all use HAL_HASH_Start() to write the entire message at once. However, I'd like to feed chunks of data to the peripheral. The OEMiROT mbedtls sha256_alt driver uses the same approach:STM32CubeH5/Projects/NUCLEO-H563ZI/Applications/ROT/OEMiROT_Boot/Src/sha256_alt.cHowever, I notice that this driver accumulates data in a buffer, then feeds the data chunk by chunk. The first chunk is 68 bytes in size, subsequent chunks are 64 bytes. My questions are:-do we really have to feed data in chunks? Reading the reference manual, it seems that data can be fed one 32bit word at a time?-why would the first chunk be 68 bytes instead of 64? Is this perhaps an optimalisation causing each feed (including the very first one) to start the intermediate digest calculation (because each first word of a new block will trigger the calculation)? Or is there more to it?

Hi, I have a STEVAL-WBC2TX50 Evaluation Board, and I am having issue with input power. Whenever I supply Vin to the board, it takes a lot of current at low Vin. Can you help me solving this problem? Thank you!

STM32CubeIDE v1.15.1Git v2.45.1.windows.1Windows 11 The software project includes the pre-build command,"git log --pretty=format:'%H' -n 1 > git_hash.h" (format string simplified for this post)On a fresh install on a new PC the following error prevents building the project,"fatal: bad object HEAD" Building on other computers doesn't produce this error.  On this computer, git works from the command line, including copying the string from the pre-build settings into the Command Shell Console in STM32CubeIDE.  Running STM32CubeIDE as administrator doesn't change behavior. The command 'where git' returns the same path in both cmd.exe and STM32CubeIDE console.  All git operations function normally from both the command line and a GUI tool (GitExtensions). Thoughts on the source of the git error?Could STM32CubeIDE be using a different git.exe than is mapped to 'git' in the system? Thanks!

I need to determine if the interrupts are enabled at one point of my code but I have not been able to find any reference for the STM32G474.  It doesn't look like there is a PRIMASK register which is mentions in another post.I know how do enable and disable the global interrupts: __enable_irq() and __disable_irq(),  but I don't know how to determine if the are enabled. How can I tell if the global interrupts are enabled?

Hi,Many of the MuRata CMWX1ZZABZ variant support "Opne MCU" such as the -078 variant; meaning the STM32 chip is programmable. Appearently some do not have the "Open MCU" feature even though they use an STM32. Was hoping someone could clear why this is the case or at least provide which variant allow programming via ST CUBE MX etc.-Thanks

I'm new to the ST development Environment and it is my first time to be using embedded systems. My aim is to make a project of one master that communicate with multiple slaves. I have already tried the ping pong example with 2 B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards and it works fine. my problem is that i want to assign one board to be a transmitter only and the other boards receive only. can anyone help regarding this case keeping in mind that I am new to this field.

Hi, how long do you recommend that we keep our development project's in-sync with the IOC file used to generate them? Setup:MyNewDemo.ioc is used to create a demo monitoring the UART that responds to to toggle requests for its GPIO Scenario #1:Peripheral Updates - a month down later the uart baud rate needs updated to a new valueScenario #2:Peripheral Additions - next year a watchdog is added for safetyScenario #3:Software Additions - eventually, after the demo is established our team decides to add CanOpen to this demoScenario #3:Project Updates - e.g. Trace and Debug, where the project's Debug interface is changed Challenge:I typically use the IOC for project creation and then retire itThere have been requests in my team to 'keep the IOC live'; through the development stages and work Question:What is ST's lifetime for IOC file's in new project development?

Hi,What are the Vcore volage levels for the STM32H562 as applied by the VOS configuration bits? Datasheet -VOS0-3 = [1.35, 1.20, 1.10, 1.00] VSource - VOS0-3 = [1.2, 1.1, 1.0, 0.9] V The discrepancy lies in some outdated comments I think; maybe the values in source linked above (lines 326-347) are just an artifact that needs updated Are the datasheet values in Table 20 of this datasheet correct?

Hi, I am new to I2S protocol, this is the first time I am working on this, I’m sorry if my question sounds trivial. I am trying to interface the RAK3172 module (STM32WLE5CC is inside) with the NAU88L25YGB audio codec from Nuvoton, the audio codec has ADCOUT and DACIN that as per the given reference design should connect to I2S_DI and I2S_DO of a MCU respectively. STM32WLE5CC/RAK3172 only has I2S2_SD pins, no separate DI and DO pins. Following is the wiring between RAK3172(STM32WLE5CC) and NAU88L25YGB. RAK3172(STM32WLE5CC) NAU88L25YGB PA3 CODEC_I2S2_MCK/MCLK PA8 CODEC_I2S2_CK/BCLK PA9 CODEC_I2S2_WS/LRCK PA10 CODEC_I2S2_SD/DI/DO (??)   How can I tackle missing I2S's DI and DO pins of STM32WLE5CC? Thanks in advance for any help. -Anesh

I have TIM20 configured in reset mode with CH1 as the trigger. I want an interrupt to run if the counter reaches a certain value. I’m using CubeIDE with CH2 configured with Output Compare no Output and the pulse duration set to the desired compare value. None of the other channels are used. I haven't used output compare features before and I'm likely missing something simple.I’m not seeing the interrupt run. I can see an input square wave on my scope. If dump TIM20->CNT to the DAC I can see it count up and reset on the edges as expected. The ramp crosses the capture compare value, so I know the value is being hit, but I don't see the interrupt trigger. When using Cube Programmer to read the registers:I see TIM20-> DIER  CC2IE bit is set.I see TIM20->SR CC2IF set to 0 and all the other CCxIF bits set to 1. I clear CC2IF in the interrupt so it makes sense its clear, but why would the others be set? I start TIM20 with the following lines:HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&

Hi all, I am trying to display output through uart in a terminal doing every step of the following tutorial:How to redirect the printf function to a UART for ... - STMicroelectronics CommunityHowever i still do not receive any terminal output using the NUCLEO-C031C6... I changed the UART2 from the tutorial to the corresponding UART1 of the NUCLEO Board and building and running the project works without issues! However, still no display on Serial Terminal.David

Hi,I am doing feasibility on SBSFU bootloader on STM32H753ZI. Currently in our firmware we are planning to have a custom bootloader based on SBSFU for secure boot and update. But I came across SFI feature from ST to ensure protection at the manufacturing end.1. Is it possible to use SFI package if we are using SBSFU as bootloader? Because I found SFI uses RSS bootloader(system bootloader) whereas SBSU is loaded from flash.2. Is it mandatory to have an external flash if we want to use SFI, Can it work with just internal flash?I am relatively new to this area. Kindly provide support.

Initially Iam flash 2 binary files to STM32WB5MMG (stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin & stm32wb5x_BLW_Stack_full_fw.bin ) in that case p2p Server works with ST BLE Toolbox in mobile but in my project p2p Client as another MCU.p2p Client not working well its cannot detect p2p Server and not showed in ST BLE Toolbox.I have doubt regarding p2pclient has any binary file need to flash? In my code while debug Scan_Request and Connect_Request function calls are not entered.Kindly help to guide how to work with p2p Server and p2p Client.

Hello guys,I am having problems setting the correct I2C clock on the STM32G4xx in Master Mode. The example configuration from the data sheet for 400 kHz at 16 MHz f_I2CCLK generates 432 kHz (RM0440-Rev4: P1892 Table 381). I use the __LL_I2C_CONVERT_TIMINGS() function, to convert the values from Datasheet. An unchanged example from the CubeIDE also generates an incorrect frequency on my Nucleoboard. (CubeIDE version 1.15.0)By trial and error I have now managed to generate almost exactly 400 kHz. In the TIMINGR I write 0x00100716, analogfilter enabled and digitalfilter disabled. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this number with the information in the data sheet. So I can't get through the code review.I was able to find a configuration tool for other controllers, is there such a tool for the STM32G4xx?Can someone please help me to calculate the I2C timing correctly and comprehensibly?

I use a STM32L412 on a custom board. I have a programing script for our production which calls STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe for downloading a hex file and also some parameters to program the option bytes:STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=SWD freq=24000 mode=PowerDown -d example.hex -v -ob SRAM2_PE=0 SRAM2_RST=0 BOR_LEV=1 WRP1A_STRT=0x0 WRP1A_END=0x3d RDP=0xBB -ob displ -rst -scoreEverything works fine, the option bytes are shown correctly, but at the end it says:MCU Reset   Software reset is performed Core is locked upThe device is dead. Only a power cycle helps to come out of this. Has anybody an idea, what I am doing wrong here? I already tried some different reset or run commands, but nothing helps. The device stays locked. I guess, the problem is with setting the read out protection. I tried to set the option bytes in the firmware at startup, when I set the OBL_LAUNCH bit, I also get a lock or the system seems to boot in the system memory, because the PC register is something like

Further to this earlier post, any chance now is a BMA400 SPI library already ported to STM32CubeIDE?Many thanks

At my company were are utilizing several STM2F767 and STM32L4P5 devices within a complex embedded product. Our firmware environment is fairly complex with an RTOS and a lot of peripherals activated and IRQ handling going on during operation. We wish to take advantage of the read-while-write (RWW) functionality of the dual-bank flash architecture in these devices for firmware upgrades.  Although the details of how bank swapping is different between the F767 and L4P5 devices, our general strategy of running in one bank without bus stalls while programming the other should work according to the documentation. This strategy seems to work find for the L4P5 devices, but I'm running into problems with the F767 devices. On the F767, with the firmware running entirely in bank 1, and performing a mass erase on bank 2, I'm getting bus stalls that block operation of the firmware at random times during the mass erasure.  This seems counter to the documentation in the F767 reference ma

I am working with H747-DISCO (dual core) board and the issue is that I cannot choose the specific core which touchgfx runs on. It works well on M7 core but I need to use other software packs such as cube-ai on M7. So is it possible to manually switch to M4 core?

Hi,Currently I'm using touchgfx for designing screens for my Monochrome LCD (doesn't support Touch functionality). I'm using scroll list feature for displaying multiple items in one screen and use external button to scroll through them. Currently I should have scrolling of elements inside scroll list. Which feature can I use to get this? For Example(below image), in below image Text1 and its corresponding Val1, Text2-Val2 and when user selects Enum1, I want a new scroll list to display EVal1, EVal2, EVal3 and Eval4. For displaying in same window for its enums which feature shall I use? Thanks,Bhavya

I had different versions of TouchGFX and when I downloaded 4.21.4 version it does not show demos. What can I do?
