Solved

Hey there,I am facing a problem with the clocks on the STM32H755ZI. When I let a timer run at 50 kHz I get only smt. like 49.92 kHz out of it with sigma = 13 Hz. So there is at any frequency a steady offset of -1.2% and a sigma deviation of 0.03%. I have chosen as HSE the Crystal/Ceramic Resonator and the APB2 of the timer runs at 200 kHz.With the Nucleo 144 STM32F767ZI I get for similar settings basically 0% frequency offset and sigma deviation of only 0.0003%. So I am wondering what has changed between these discovery boardsH755:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-h755zi-q.html F767:https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-f767zi.htmlthey both have this X4 crystal at 25.000 MHz and several others. So do you see any way how I can achieve a higher frequency stability? Or what I might have to change in CubeIDE to activate a more accurate crystal on the H755 board? Thanks a lot for any help :)

Hi,Do you know what I am doing wrong ? Thanks

**EDIT: I misunderstood the implementation of the open loop mode, as I thought it was performing open loop SVPWM at a particular modulation index. After reviewing the open loop documentation within the motor control docs I now understand that this is not the case and will attempt to use it properly... please feel free to delete this post** Motor control workbench version : 6.3.0Motor pilot version: 1.2.9Hello!I would like to perform an open loop modulation test. After configuring the project to allow open loop and selecting OPEN_LOOP_VOLTAGE mode within the profiler, I am unable to alter the voltage reference within the advanced pane. As soon as I alter the value, it is immediately reset back to 0. If I run the open loop modulation with a voltage ref of 0 then the high side U FET sweeps from 0% duty cycle to 100% which subsequently trips the power supply and produces an undervoltage fault. Are you able to assist me on setting an appropriate voltage/modulation index for open loop c

Hello community,I wanted to know how can I check the compatibility of of QSPI NOR FLASH with micro-controller, what are the parameter that will affect selection. Are Infineon chips supported by STM32H7 family especially S25FL128SAGNFM003.

HI,     I am using STM32WBA55G-DK1 board to develop ble audio device. When i call CAP_EnableAudioCodecController, it return 0x91.   I have reviewed the assembly code of the project and found that CAP_EnableAudioCodecController will call hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2 to get the codecs array. So i call hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2 on my app code to test this api. Spoiler (Highlight to read)uint8_t num_supported_stand_codes = 0;uint8_t standard_Codec[255] = {0};uint8_t num_supported_vendor_specific_codes = 0;uint8_t vendor_specific_codes[255] = {0};status = hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2( &num_supported_stand_codes,standard_Codec,&num_supported_vendor_specific_codes,hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2);LOG_INFO_APP("hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2() return status: 0x%02X\n", status);for (loop = 0; loop < num_supported_stand_codes; loop++) {LOG_INFO_APP(" %02x", standard_Codec[loop]);if (loop % 16 == 15) {LOG_INFO_APP

I am attempting to use TIM1 CH1 to produce a 4MHz PWM with 50% duty cycle, to be used as a clock input to a knock sensor.  TIM1 is on the APB2 Timer Clock with I have configured at 200 MHz: To get a 4MHz frequency I have PSC = 0 and the ARR/Counter period 49: Here are the rest of the settings for break and dead time (not used) and PWM Generation Channel 1: When I put a scope on this, I do see what roughly looks like a PWM, but with a frequency of 30Hz instead of 4MHz.  I have verified I am probing the right pin because if I have the clock to what I think is 10MHz (a factor of 2.5) I see the signal on my scope increase from 30Hz to 75 Hz (the same factor of 2.5).I have several other PWMs on this board, on TIM3, TIM4, TIM5, and TIM23, all of which are working without issue and producing the exact frequency and duty cycle I expect. The only difference I can think is that TIM1 is an "advanced timer" but I have not been able to discern anything in the RM or otherwis

As in the subject, DCMI and PSSI are missing from STM32U545RETXQ configuration. According to documentation, this unit should support those interfaces. Is that correct? Regards

Hi, I am using ST Motor Pilot Tool (profiler) V1.2.9.With the B-G431-ESC1 plate and the A2212/13T motor (technical sheet attached).I can't get the motor above 5200 RPM. Please note that to get to 5200 rpm I had to increase the overvoltage to 80% because otherwise I would get an overvoltage error. How can I get the engine to reach 10Krpm?Is it normal to increase the over voltage so much?Thank you very much for your time and support.

I want to use two internal comparators to monitor current in a circuit.  When the current gets above a level I want to turn off my switch, when the current falls below a level I want to turn on the switch.  This needs to be done at a speed that is too fast and precise for software to handle (the off time can be as little as ~1uS and must have high resolution and minimal (nS) delay).  I could use an external SR latch that is reset by the high current level comparator and set by the low current level comparator (I have done this in simulations and it works well), but I was wondering if there was a way to emulate a fast SR latch using the internal hardware, like perhaps using timer compare hardware or something similar.  The processor I am currently looking at is the  STM32F334xx.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,I am developing a firmware for a host device to flash STM8S via UART.My issue is when I send a write command, STM8 didn't response anything.- Host sends write command: 0x31 0xCE, STM8 responsed ACK 0x79 . Host replies 0xFF- Host sends 5 bytes address and checksum: 0x00 0x00 0x88 0x00 0x88, STM8 responsed ACK 0x79. Host replies 0xFF- Host sends 6 bytes (1 byte: number of data, 4 bytes data and 1 byte checksum): 0x03 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x03 STM8 didn't reply anything.I attached serial capture image. Please help me. it took me a long time to check it

For our validation:I would like to verify my computation for the capacity of the bonding list size. I did have some characteristics created so it's not the default , but its a number close to that. ( Sources in the bottom) It would be disastrous if entire bonding list is cleared. (when full, and I need to prevent it )Also , I do not have the amount of devices to verify that! Please support. Pro bono publico, I also I believe you have a typo in AN5270:  Here are my sources: How many keys stack can hold:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/how-many-pairing-device-information-can-the-stm32wb-has-at-most/td-p/123506https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/storing-ble-bonding-information-keys-on-external-flash/td-p/120158How to read the actual key from stack:https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/where-and-how-to-store-application-security-keys-on-the-bluenrg/m-p/210330What happens when stack bonding list gets full:AN5270 :

I am trying to calculate the FFT using CMSIS-DSP.I downloaded the latest CMSIS-DSP from github, copied folders CMSIS\DSP\Include, CMSIS\DSP\PrivateInclude and CMSIS\DSP\Source in my Drivers folder, added CMSIS\DSP\Include and CMSIS\DSP\PrivateInclude to my include path and removed all .c files in CMSIS\DSP\Source that does not have _f32 in the filename, since I am planning to use only float32 data.My project is build with STM32CubeIDE and the microcontroller is a STM32L476RG.The symbol ARM_MATH_CM4 is defined. This is the code I'm trying to use: #include "arm_math.h" #include "arm_const_structs.h" #define SAMPLES_NUMBER 1024 /* ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * Max magnitude FFT Bin calculation * * the input vector must be 1024 elements * ------------------------------------------------------------------- */ float32_t fft(float32_t *input_vector, uint32_t sampling_rate) { float32_t maxValue; uint32_t maxIndex; float32_t frequency; float

Hi allI have successfully implemented a single vl53l0x sensor, but wish to add more. I found the "AN4846 Application note Using multiple VL53L0X in a single design" documentation:https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group0/0e/0a/96/1b/82/19/4f/c2/DM00280486/files/DM00280486.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00280486.pdfUnder "VL53L0X API management" it specifies:In vl53L0x_platform.h API file set VL53L0x_SINGLE_DEVICE_DRIVER macro to 0 so that API implementation will be automatically adapted to a multi-device context. But I cannot find anything called "VL53L0x_SINGLE_DEVICE_DRIVER" in the vl53L0x_platform.h file.Where can I find it? Or has the files updated without the documentation being updated? If so should this step just be skipped?

Hello,I'm working with an STM32U5 custom board.I use the LPUART1 to read input with an interrupt as shown below and to write it back on the same LPUART1 :  void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin (GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_8); HAL_UART_Transmit_IT(huart, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, 10); HAL_UART_Receive_IT(huart, (uint8_t *)aRxBuffer, 10); } If I execute the code above, the interrupt is fired only once. I can read text back on my terminal but I never gets executed again.

HiI am trying to set up a project based on FP-SNS-ALLMEMS1.When i set up a project based on STM32L476 Nucleo, I cant find the pack neither under "select components" nor under "manage software packs". see belowWhy??

HelloThe Nucleo/Dongle pair did not do the demo.So downloaded and updated them with P2Pserver and Client hex files.Still didn't work.Am now trying to upgrade the FUS in the dongle from .53 to current using stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin, using 0x080EC000 as listed in Release notes, and it fails.10:39:11 : Erasing memory corresponding to segment 0:10:39:11 : Operation exceeds memory limits10:39:11 : failed to erase memoryDongle has the STM32WB55CGU6 MCU.Looks like the start address is wrong, but what should it be and where do I find this info.ThanksGiri

Hi st team, I am using the STM32MP135f-DK board and I want to enable CANFD drivers. First I checked if the CAN drivers are enabled in menuconfig using:  bitbake virtual/kernel -c menuconfig (everything has been selected) Then I went to ~/STM32MPU_workspace/STM32MP1-Ecosystem-v5.0.0/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work-shared/stm32mp1/kernel-source/arch/arm/boot and modified the files as follows: stm32mp13-pinctrl.dtsi (configured the pins PG1 (pin 16 CN8) for TX and PG3 (pin 18 CN8) for RX) fdcan2_pins_mx: fdcan2_mx-0 { pins1 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 1, AF9)>; /* FDCAN2_TX */ bias-disable; drive-push-pull; slew-rate = <0>; }; pins2 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 3, AF9)>; /* FDCAN2_RX */ bias-disable; };};fdcan2_sleep_pins_mx: fdcan2_sleep_mx-0 { pins { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 1, ANALOG)>, /* FDCAN2_TX */ <STM32_PINMUX('G', 3, ANALOG)>; /* FDCAN2_RX */ };}; tm32mp135f-dk.dts added: &m_can2{ pinctrl-names = "

I am attempting to install the appropriate software packages so I can use my STM32H723ZG. However the 1.11.2 file cannot be unzipped.  The IDE reported the error and I confirmed it by downloading the package and attempting to unzip it manually. Please help me remedy this as soon as possible.  Maybe a valid zip file needs to be uploaded?

Hello team, I am trying to connect external NAND flash with STM32H753ZIT6. my concern is with respect to FMC_ALE and FMC_CLE pins as, in Pin no. 80 and 81 these are multiplexed with address lines whereas pin no 98 and 99 can also be used as FMC_ALE and FMC_CLE. i just need to confirm both the pins are same or is there any difference in these pins?   Thanks Nikhil

i'm referring to the STM32H7S78-DK which specifically mounts the new STM32H7S7L8 mcu there is the possibility of driving a 1280x400 rgb 888 or RGB 565 tft display using a double frame buffer with reasonable performance  we can carry out an example (FPS) calculation using the PSRAM installed on the board for the frame buffer or identifying any unsolvable limit  how much processor time should I expect to lose in the GUI

I am developing an application based on a STM32WB35CE and have noticed that the code generated by STM32CubeMX limits available Flash to 256k and available SRAM to 32k (the WB35CE has 512k and 96k, respectively). I have flashed the stm32wb3x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin copro binary, so not having all memory available is expected.according to AN5451 I should have 363k of Flash and 57k of SRAM (across the 3 SRAM banks) available for my application. How can I use these?

Hello everyone, I have a board.STM32F429I DISCO1, I want to read, say, two bytes of parallel data from port A{15:0}, into the DMA buffer, every time a rising edge of some signal comes to the microcontroller from the outside. How exactly can this be implemented ?Can I , Configure DMA to transfer data from the GPIO port to a memory buffer ?because I dont see that , in CubeMX may support direct GPIO to memory transfer for this use case ?but can I manually handle this , ? for example #define BUFFER_SIZE 1uint16_t dma_buffer[BUFFER_SIZE];void MX_DMA_Init(void) {....................................................DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma;hdma.Instance = DMA1_Stream0;hdma.Init.Channel = DMA_CHANNEL_0;hdma.Init.Direction = DMA_PERIPH_TO_MEMORY;   ????????????????????????hdma.Init.PeriphInc = DMA_PINC_DISABLE;hdma.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE;hdma.Init.PeriphDataAlignment = DMA_PDATAALIGN_HALFWORD;..................................................................}.............

I am facing the problem of data integrity, the logic is something as shown below i am taking the CAN rx data from the interrupt and processing in while loop.   uint8_t g_candata_u8=0; int main(void) { Initilializations(); while() { if(CanMessageReceived == TRUE) { LCDDisplay(g_candata_u8); } } void CanRxInterrupt() { g_candata_u8 = RxBuffer[0]; }   The problem i am facing is the g_candata_u8 is getting corrupted. The value g_candata_u8 which is acclerator pedal percentage from 0 - 100% received from vehicle shall be less than 100, but the value displayed on the LCD is sometimes shows greater than 200, most of the time it is less than 100 and as expected.  I am suspecting the above method of code implementation is a problem. What is the best method to process the rx data?
