Hello,I have installed STM32CubeIDE v1.15.1 on Ubuntu 22.04 (from debian bundle archive 21094_20240412_1041).First, the Linux terminal shows a periodic error, not correlated to any user action, and which I suppose is not related with the other problems (see points 1 and 2 below) :Jun 11, 2024 1:21:25 PM java.util.prefs.FileSystemPreferences checkLockFile0ErrorCodeWARNING: Could not lock System prefs. Hi, we are studying option of upgrading one of our existing projects that already incorporates the VL53L5 sensor with the STs EdgeAI machine learning library, that would enable our product to use data from the ToF sensor to learn patterns and detect and recognise various objects, placed in front of sensor. Is this feasible with the NanoEdgeAI studio? In ideal world, we would use full 64 pixel resolution of sensor, but that might be too much of a load on MCU, so at least 4 or 6 pixels would probably do it.

Hi     i am configuration UART1 as default and Tx pin switching into GPIO then  reset (Low) the GPIO for 28 micro sec(delay)  and set(high) the GPIO then again switching to UART1. during switching waveform level  is intermediate as show in below. Nice to meet you.If you download and check the en.stm32cubeu5-v1-5-0.zip file (including patch), an example for STM32U585 SBSFU is included. I changed the source code for U585 to U575 according to the 'readme.htmi' instructions, but the build does not work properly and an error occurs.*****For IAR IDE:1- Go to "Options" and select "General Options" then in the "Target" field Select "device" to choose your device.2- Go to "Options" and select "C/C++ Compiler" then "Preprocessor" tab and change the compilation symbol (STM32U5A5xx, STM32U5A9xx, STM32U545xx or STM32U5G9xx instead of STM32U585xx).3- Go to "Options" and select "Build Actions" then in the "Prebuild command line" field change the compilation symbol (STM32U5A5xx, STM32U5A9xx, STM32U545xx or STM32U5G9xx instead of STM32U585xx).*****If you look at the content above, STM32U585xx is mentioned, but STM32U575xx is not. So, is it impossible to change it for STM32U575xx?If I can't change it, I'd like to get a concise example of STM32U5

Dear Community,I'm working on STM32H743ZIT6 based project. Here I want to set up 4 ADCs which have SPI interface. On developer's forum is said "If all ADCs will be sampled at the same point in time with the same settings, then the SCLK, CS, and SDI can be tied together".Also there mentioned: "Make sure the digital interface is able to drive all of the ADCs at once".Is STM32H743ZIT6 able to drive all of the ADCs at once?According to electrical characteristics:Digital high input voltage logic level - 0.7V x DVDD (min) / DVDD + 0.3V (max);Digital low input voltage logic level - -0.3 (min) / 0.2 x DVDD (max).DVDD = 3.3V Thanks!

Hi St-familyI'm encountering a problem transferring a bin file via UART on my Stm32f103c8t6. While UART3 functions correctly with a USB TTL converter, UART1 doesn't seem to establish a connection. I've verified the connections between the device's UART1 pins (TX and RX) and the USB TTL converter.I'm using the appropriate baud rate settings on both the device and the terminal software.

We had a custom board with STM32MP135F series MPU on it, we just rolled out a new revision because we didn't connected PDR pin and it wasnt able to start after reset. But everything was booting correctly and all systems were working. Now in our new revision, we just fixed the PDR and added the emmc but when I try to boot with all debug and log levels maxed, I get this error on my console and nothing else;    PANIC at PC : 0x2ffee107 Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffee107    I'm not sure this is TF-A output because all debug logging is allowed. It seems like its panicking at the end of SYSRAMI suspected my clock settings but the parts has not been changed, its the same crystal and same device tree settings should work. Also I'm able to boot with UART/USB mode and connect to device with UART (USB also doesnt work in this mode somehow), I can even load DDR utility binary with STM32Programmer CLI, but after the code downloads to target I loose conn

Hello,I am currently using the ST25R95 chip for NFC tag detection. We are encountering an issue during implementation: when metallic objects like a car smart key's battery holder are near the NFC antenna, the NFC tag cannot be detected.I would appreciate advice on how to ensure tag detection even in the presence of metallic objects like a battery holder.Environment:Integrated with nrf52832 chipAverage current consumption: 1.5mA (Idle), 2.5mA (During tag detection)Link to NFC antenna pattern image file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h11F8e41BnCNxySSYzelqbfN5afPVFeI/view?usp=sharing Thank you.

Hello,we are having an issue on the STM32H730 ; we would like to have a Timer Capture triggered by the USB OTG SOF signal. This should be straightforward since the USB1_OTG_HS_SOF signal is connected to TIM2 ITR5. However, we never managed to have the capture triggered by this signal. We use the following code:// Start the USB stack, etc.// Configure the TIM2 IC__TIM2_CLK_ENABLE();LL_TIM_IC_Config(TIM2, LL_TIM_CHANNEL_CH1, LL_TIM_ACTIVEINPUT_TRC | LL_TIM_IC_FILTER_FDIV1 | LL_TIM_IC_POLARITY_RISING);LL_TIM_SetTriggerInput(TIM2, LL_TIM_TS_ITR5);LL_TIM_IC_SetActiveInput(TIM2, LL_TIM_CHANNEL_CH1, LL_TIM_ACTIVEINPUT_TRC); LL_TIM_EnableCounter(TIM2);When there is USB audio traffic (that we also receive on the PC, so it is definitely working), the TIM2->CCR1 stays at zero and never changes (+ we have checked that the timer is counting of course). Also, when we enable the USB SOF IRQs, they are triggered indeed. But the timer capture still isn't triggered and stays at zero.&nb

hi,I created a simple project with TouchGfx 4.22.1 for STM32F746G-DISCO and added a label to check whether the LCD worked. However, the LCD did not display anything after downloading the code. According to the log of compiling the code as below, the file of 'stm32746g_discovery_lcd.c' in Drivers/BSP/STM32746G-Discovery/ was not compiled or included in the project. And the lcd driver is designed for RK043FN48H LCD while it should be KUNJIAN HT043C,May I know if there are any sample codes which can be run on the STM32F746G-DISCO version C01? STM32G071R8 & M95160-WMN6TP EEPROMWe have the DMA SPI TX direction working but are having issues with the data that is being returned. Technically this is a read from the EEPROM but the command and read address are sent first. The EEPROM responds with the 32 bytes of blank(0xFF). None of the data ends up in the DMA SPI RX buffer. When the DMA TX complete interrupt completes(when it's done transmitting 0x00 so we can receive data), the is nothing in the DMA buffer or even a 0xFF in SPI data register itself. The SPI is configured for full duplex and we have the DMA TX buffer(35 byte size) send out the read command and then 32 0x00's(three byte command + 32 blanks) so that the clock runs for the incoming data. The RX DMA is set to 32 bytes(3 less bytes.) This was done in the hope we could use the DMA RX transmit complete interrupt to know when the entire read of the data from the EEPROM was done(as suggested by @Nikita91 from this thread: detecting-the-complete-end-of-spi-transfer

I have a project where VREFBUF outputs 2.0xxV correctly without intervention. I created a new project and I see VREFBUF output stuck at 0V, and I'm not sure what's causing the changed behavior.  I inspected the VREFBUF_CSR register and I see ENVR=1 and HIZ=1. When I set HIZ=0 via StLink, I see the VREFBUF output pop to the correct value. I don’t see CubeIDE options to set this explicitly, but it appears there is some setting that manipulates this value. What should I look at?I tried adding both of the below lines to set the HIZ bit in user code, but it didn’t appear to change the HIZ bit when I checked via StLink. What could I be doing wrong?VREFBUF->CSR&=0b11101;HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HighImpedanceConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HIGH_IMPEDANCE_DISABLE);I'm also seeing DAC output drop to zero when the HIZ bit is set. Is this normal or a potential clue?

I'm using STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0and trying to generate LoRaWAN End Node FreeRTOS. I precedently set in file se-identity.h values for LORAWAN_APP_KEY,LORAWAN, LORAWAN_NWK_KEY,LORAWAN_JOIN_EUI, as shown in the guide and everything went fine. Now I want to assign them new values in the same manner, but after compiling the project and programming the device with ST-LINK, on boot in the serial output it shows the first ones that I set:APPLICATION_VERSION: V1.3.0MW_LORAWAN_VERSION: V2.5.0MW_RADIO_VERSION: V1.3.0L2_SPEC_VERSION: V1.0.4RP_SPEC_VERSION: V2-1.0.1NVM DATA RESTORED###### AppKey: F2:54:51:E9:24:11:25:F7:A5:24:80:97:32:CC:58:CD###### NwkKey: F2:54:51:E9:24:11:25:F7:A5:24:80:97:32:CC:58:CD...The output shows that the values was restored from NVM, but I can't manage to change them in NVM.How can I force the new values into NVM. Related to this, how does the BUT3_Pin work? It activates thread Thd_LoraStoreContext ( that calls the func LmHandlerNvmDataStore)  but seems it

Hey all, I want to port this https://github.com/ArduCAM/STM32/tree/master/STM32F103 package to use for an STM32F446RE development board. Can anyone offer any advice as to the best practices of accomplishing this? Would it be modifying mapping of GPIOs, clock speed, and peripherals?

I'm working on CBM model for predicting maintenance on Motor and trying to analyze the bearing frequencies I have few questions to develop a solution based on STWIn-BX1 1) Mounting of the Board - is it necessary to mount the board on the Motor near the bearing? 2) the operating temperature range of the board is just up to 35degc, but the accelerometer and vibratory sensor is rated for 105degC, how to use the board for extended temperature range? 3) I currently use FP-data log firmware to capture the data and do analysis with math lab to predict the bearing frequencies. is there any way i can create a model to include the list of bearing frequencies that will enable me to create failure alerts based on magnitudes related to bearing and implement a decision tree. Using following settings:IDE : VS Code Programmer : Stm32Cube programmerStlink Debugger OS: Zephyr MCU: Stm32u5 series  I'm trying to use following link in order to sign application image: https://docs.zephyrproject.org/2.7.5/guides/west/sign.htmlIt keeps reporting invalid image after flashing the image. As shown in the screenshot shared below.Image is signed. Also tried unsigned but same issue. Can anyone please suggest what can be potential issue or are there any specific changes required in MCUboot from zephyr to make it work with STM32?

Hi,I am trying to debug both cores in STM32WL55CC chip. When trying debugging CM0+ i get error. I am using STM32CubeIDE ver 1.14.1 and also tried STM32CubeIDE ver 1.8 per a suggestion in older post, both don't work. The followings are the configurations and error I am getting. M4 running under debug:and now starting M0 under debug:   M4 code is indeed running but debugger seems preoccupied with it and won’t share the resource for M0 debugging.Thanks.Ayman

Hi,the STM32WL55's reference manual states:> BW[DSB] > BR + 2 x frequency deviation + frequency errorHowever, in the SubGHz_Phy_Per example, FSK is configured as follows:   #define FSK_FDEV 25000 /* Hz */ #define FSK_DATARATE 50000 /* bps */ #define FSK_BANDWIDTH 50000 /* Hz */   Therefore, "BR + 2 x frequency deviation" would be equal to 100000Hz. But the bandwidth is set to just 50000Hz. But the example still works. Why? The gaussian filter (BT=0.5) reduces the bandwith, but not that much. The reference manual also states:> In receive mode, the bandwidth is automatically adjusted to match the selected data rateDoes this mean I don't have to specify the bandwidth? Is the following interpretation of the FSK frequency parameters correct?

I'm trying to update the duty cycle of 3 channels of timer 1 simultaneously with just one DMA event.

Hi,I have scoured the web for a solution to this problem, but I cannot find one, typically the replies are the same, but the solution is never found. I have tried every other solution you will find.I was playing around with the cube mx trying to solve my problem with this, and I'm not sure what changed, but the cube mx generated a program which actually made HAL_Delay work correctly.I have used the STM32CubeIDE with CubeMX generated code for many projects in the past with relatively no issues.STM32F105STLINK_V3Firmware Package: STM32Cube FW_F1 V1.8.5STM32CubeIDE version 1.13.0MXCube Version 6.9The Problem:To summarise the problem, the application will freeze at HAL_Delay();  The reason for this is because within the file stm32f1xx_t.c , the SysTick_Handler will not be called, and hence HAL_IncTick(); will also never increment the uwTick counter.  Clearly the Systick Interrupt isn't being triggered. void SysTick_Handler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SysTick_I

Hi, i'm trying to power an usb-c device that needs 5v 2A, with a power supply (5v 8A) that doesn't support power delivery. For doing that i tried to use the evaluation board EVAL-SCS002V1 connecting the power supply wires (+ and -) to the green connector and the usb-c one to the device to power on. The result is that only the board blu led is turning on that means "default USB current".How can i negotiate for more current? What am i doing wrong? Please help me :folded_hands:.Regards,Giacomo

Is there an application or example about an "audio playback" project using the SAI interface (SAIA-SAIB) connected to a Codec ?I'm using the Nucleo NUH723ZG board. Thank you, Carlo

Hi,We have designed a board based on ST25R3911B and it is about to be tested by a Notified Body with regards to RED/EMC.In relation to this, I am wondering if there is ready-made SW available, that can be used for setting the radio to transmit a single tone on a given channel? It is needed as part of the RED-testing. Br,Chato

I try to just toggle a led for each received frame (STD ID).With a logic analyser I checked the Rx pin on the Rx MCU and the frames arrive well. Hence my feeling that the problem lies at the level of the callback function where the MCU never go.Thank you in advance for the help you will be able to give me.

Hi, I have a question regarding antenna design for my project, creating an NFC reader. I am a beginner (student) when it comes to development. Why is the antenna connected to GND? Does it have to be this way, and is there a detailed explanation somewhere about why it is connected this way?On the ST25R3916-DISCO, it is also laid out but not connected (no solder bridge).
