I'm trying to build myself a TouchGFX projectThe project runs and builds correctly via TouchGFX Designer but I'm unable to compile it with VSCode (cmake, ninja gcc)  [build] C:/TouchGFXProjects/Circle_UI/Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/source/platform/hal/simulator/sdl2/OSWrappers.cpp: In static member function 'static void touchgfx::OSWrappers::initialize()': [build] C:/TouchGFXProjects/Circle_UI/Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/source/platform/hal/simulator/sdl2/OSWrappers.cpp:24:24: error: 'atexit' was not declared in this scope [build] atexit(deinitialize); [build] ^ [build] [174/177] Building CXX object CMakeFiles/TouchGFX.dir/C_/TouchGFXProjects/Circle_UI/Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/source/platform/hal/simulator/sdl2/HALSDL2_icon.cpp.obj [build] [175/177] Building CXX object CMakeFiles/TouchGFX.dir/C_/TouchGFXProjects/Circle_UI/Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/source/platform/hal/simulator/sdl2/HALSDL2.cpp.obj [build] C:/TouchGFXProjects/Circle_UI/Middlewares/

I am using an STM32 G474RE NUCLEO board. Is it necessary for me to configure the BOOT0 pin and the BOOT bits in the FLASH_OPTR register if I am going to program the chip using the SWDIO and SWCLK pins with an ST-LINK V2?

the chip of ST is different from traditional manufacturers that use circular dot or gap to distinguish the first pin of the IC. I cannot find the information in datasheet or the topics. Anyone can give me some information? thanks very much

I am currently working on repairing a Taramps MD3000.1 car amplifier. There is an ST chip with the following markings: 319MZLBD38 or it could be MZLB038.I'm not sure what it is and am having quite a time finding that out. I appreciate any feedback!

sampling finder (SF) for imported signal file is greyed out, please advise

I am using STM32L0 with LSE rtc xtal, CubeMX/HAL. I have a 20 second wakup using  if (HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, 40960, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_RTCCLK_DIV16) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } AND HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); HAL_ResumeTick();  this works ok as long as I don't use //HAL_PWR_DisableBkUpAccess(); or it never enters stop modenow I use HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode(); to shutdown the device but it wakes 20 seconds later.so I tried adding  if (HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer(&hrtc) != HAL_OK) { ErrorHandler(ERR_ALARM_DEACT); }   but the call returns HAL_RTC_STATE_TIMEOUT Any ideas?

Hello everyone,I decided to write on this forum after encountering a problem with the implementation of ZigBee on my STM32WB55 microcontroller. Currently, the board connects to the network and sends the first data, but nothing happens afterwards.I am using the LAUNCHXL-CC1352P as the RCP which is connected to my computer and I run the Zigbee2MQTT 1.37.0 process. I'm using the same configuration for the Zlinky module and everything works fine, so I assume that part of the receiver works. As far as the FW is concerned, I would like to use the RTC to set a measurement task and send data every 30 seconds (for the moment). On the other hand, I have used some examples on ST's GitHub, in particular for the SED configuration. After some tests with LEDs, I can confirm that the RTC is working correctly.I have the impression that each new task configuration is ignored but I don't know why and the debbug mode do not help me at all.Thank you in advance for your help. Here is HAL_RTC_AlarmAEventCallba

Hi everyone. I am working on STM32G0B0 MCU and develop UI with touchGFX. I researched how to generate external loader for external NOR FLASH(MX25L6433F). I use SPI2 on MCU(SMT32G0B0). And edited relevant files. I applied all of steps on following links:https://blog.embeddedexpert.io/?p=2189Like W25Q FLASH Memory || Part 9 || External Loader in SPI Mode (youtube.com)Like External loaders for SPI flash: a "standard" version (youtube.com)I separately tested it. But xxx.stldr file is not working. STM32CubeProgrammer is unknown my STLDR file. I build without any problem. I checked that makefile under debug folder. There is an error that: fail-specified-linker-script-missing: @echo 'Error: Cannot find the specified linker script. Check the linker settings in the build configuration.' @exit 2 warn-no-linker-script-specified: @echo 'Warning: No linker script specified. Check the linker settings in the build configuration.' .PHONY: all clean dependents ma

Hello,I am trying to use DCMI to connect the camera and display the video on LCD by LTDC. But it seems to me STM32CubeIDE does not allow me to active both DCMI and LTDC at the same time, because PA6 pin conflicts. And it seems the PA6 cannot be mapped to any other pin under DCMI and LTDC on the board Nucleo-H743ZI2. Does anyone have the same experience? How to use DCMI and LTDC at the same time? If the ST new released board does not have this conflict issue? thx.

stm32f429 ran in PCLK2 with 160MHz, and TIM8 prescaler division set to 0, auto reload set to 1.set up interrupt enable.in TIM8 update interrupt handler, just toggle PD4 pin out.when use oscilloscope to check the wave of PD4, just get around 2.3MHz. Can TIM8 generate 10MHz PWM with PD4 ?

This is a part of the circuit diagram of NUCLEO-F429ZI.What do the symbols in the picture below mean? is the inductance ohm value?thank you.

Hi,I am trying to use CC1 and CC3 inputs on TIM2 of STM32H7A3 to do some time-critial tasks (very ns fast time-stamping). I need to identify which CCxIF tiggered. Using STMCUBEIDE the skeleton interupt code worked fine in debug mode without the lines comented with //WAIT. The countersTrigger_events_1 and Trigger_events_2 incremented as intended. In Run mode the code did not identify which flag inthe status register was set and did not count the interrupts. Adding the //WAIT lines waits (with a timeout) till one or both of the CCxIF flags in TIM2 status register is set. While this workaround works in the skeleton code, it will decrease time dependancy which is important for my application. In the reference manual it states:"If channel CC1 is configured as input: this bit is set when counter value has been capturedin TIMx_CCR1 register (an edge has been detected on IC1, as per the edge sensitivitydefined with the CC1P and CC1NP bits setting, in TIMx_CCER)."I am surprised that t

Good evening,Could you help me install the x-cube-cryptolib library in STM32CubeIDE? I have tried everything and I still can't install it correctly. I would greatly appreciate your help.

Hello everyone,I'm getting yocto build for STM32MP1 mickledore. There is no problem with compilation. The images were produced without any problems. Hi,I purchased this STM32H723 mini core board that has 20 pin fpc connector for camera module and 10 pin fpc connector for LCD module.https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005852859518.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.10.d0bd7385STni3J&gatewayAdapt=glo2ara I contacted the seller on Aliexpress and they told me this board works with OV2640/OV5640 modules, but they eventually told me that they don't have the items available.I purchased OV2640, but it turned out to have 24 pin cable.    I have 3 questions:Is there an adapter solution for this ?What camera module will fit this board, please provide Aliexpress product link if possible. What LCD module I can connect to this board ?

I want to read the serial output from the STM32 F405 Feather using the SWV on Cube Programmer, but I do not receive Serial output from the board. I am running the .hex file from this Arduino sketch on the board: #include <SWOStream.h> SWOStream s(2000000, SWO_Async, 0, false); //swoEnable = false void setup() { delay(150); } void loop() { s.print("Serial is alive!"); delay(500); } I have searched through the board documentation over and over and I can't find what clock frequency to use in my program and in the SWV terminal on Cube Programmer, so if anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated!

Hello everyone, I am using TouchGFX 4.23.1 on STM32H750xx and I am experiencing this behaviour.  I have a screen with multilple flexbuttons and each one of them has a callback setted when it is pressed. Everything works fine except I've noticed that the callback is called only after I release the button. So after reading TouchGFX's guidelines, I have tried the handleClickEvent method but then button's flexButtonCallbackHandler is not called. So those are the two methods: 1) void MyScreen::flexButtonCallbackHandler(const touchgfx::AbstractButtonContainer &flexButton) -> It works fine but it is called only after I release the button; 2)  void MyScreen::flexButtonCallbackHandler(const touchgfx::AbstractButtonContainer &flexButton) + void MyScreen::handleClickEvent(const ClickEvent& evt) -> My application can sense immediately the touch in handleClickEvent but then flexButtonCallbackHandler is not called. So I am able to differentiate PR

I've compiled my first program and I can't find a way to upload to the board. When I plug the USB, the onboard LED is lit, but my PC does not detect anything - I don't hear any "plug" sound, and I can't find any device in Device Manager (recognized nor not recognized).I've tried different cables, different USB ports, and a different PC. Is the board damaged? The default program is fine, I can use user button to switch LEDs.This is my first STM32 :(

Hello,I have NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q ST Board. To initialize the board, I used the STM32CubeMX initialization code generator ("Start My project from ST Board").The Debug in this initialization is set to "Disable" (i.e., no Serial Wire or JTAG is active). How the onboard embedded ST-Link operates with debug disabled setup?BR, Chaim

Hi there,I've been using the NXP Kinetis MKL03Z32VFK4 Ultra-Low Power Cortex-M0+ MCU in our products, and it's been working well, but due to a major redesign, I'm looking for alternatives, and ST MCUs are promising.Specifically, I'm concerned about long-term availability. NXP has been offering its LPC product line for ages. Then, they purchased Freescale, inheriting their Kinetis series. Now, they offer the MCX series, too. Given their multiple competing product lines, I'm worried they'll discontinue the MKL03Z32VFK4 after its 2035-06 longevity date.I'm considering using the STM32L011F4U or STM32C011F6U instead of the MKL03Z32VFK4. Even though their availability is only guaranteed until 2034-01, I'd expect ST to extend their availability further than NXP. I believe this because, to my knowledge, ST is the most popular Cortex-M supplier, and it only has a single product portfolio. Can some of you provide more insight on the above?

I installed cubeide (under linux ver 1.15.1) and started it by creating a workspace.I created a new project (STM32 project), the 'Target selector' appeared and I selected the nucleo-g474re board.I gave the project a name, I answered yes to the question 'Initialize all peripher.....".The "Device Configuration Tool editor is associated ..." window appeared and I answered yes again. The bar under "Perform Project Creation. Please wait..." moves ...After several minutes (10) I launch top and see that a 'Spawner Reaper' process is active and uses 100% CPU and 11% memory. If I give the command 'strace -p PID' the result is "close(510686161) = -1 EBADF (Bad File Descriptor)"Where can I see the output of 'Spawner Reaper'?How can I find out what he's doing?Suggestions?Thank you

Good morning,In regards to the current limit placed on the PC13-PC15 pins of the STM32G431VBx3 that is used as the basis of the STSPIN32G4 (and whose datasheet is referred to multiple times in the STSPIN's), the '431 datasheet has the usual low-power domain caveat of "Since the switch only sinks a limited amount of current (3 mA) [...] These GPIOs must not be used as current sources (for instance to drive an LED)" (DS12589 Rev 6, pg. 60). The "Must Not" language seems rather definitive, and yet both of the demonstration boards go ahead and use at least one of the pins for an LED.The EVLSPIN32G4-ACT schematic (as partially shown below) uses PC13 and PC14 with LEDs. The EVSPIN32G4 board implements the same circuit on PC13 but not PC14.The yellow LED is listed in both BOMs as Wurth 150060YS75000, with 20mA test current and 2V typical forward voltage. The green LED is listed as Wurth 150060GS75000 at 20mA and 3.2V (typ). With the 320Ω worth of resistors in place, the yellow

Hi AllMaximum input voltage for this series of MCU per Table II of the datasheet is specified to be 4.0 VDC for all pins other than five-volt tolerant. Table 12 specifies the maximum injected current for all pins other than five-volt tolerant to be +/- 5 mA.Given the above specifications would it be permissible to exceed the maximum input voltage if the injected current is limited to lets say 0.1 mA by a resistor in series with the non five-volt tolerant I/O pin? If not what would be the reason?Regardsik
