I am confused:I have a PCB designed for STMU575 and I am using USB FS - works.USB DM and DP are pins PA11 and PA12.On U575:- all fine as USB FS, available via AF10 (PA11 = OTG_FS_DM, OTG_FS_DM) - worksI have checked the packages and pin assignments and saw: U5A5 is identical with U5A5 (and I want to solder U5A5 due to larger memories instead of U575).But UA5A datasheet is a bit different on PA11, PA12:1. it mentions "OTG_HS_DM(boot)" as "additional functions"2. in pin mux ALT table: there is nothing under ALT10 - there is NOT an ALT option to configure PA11, PA12 as USB pinMy questions:a) changing from U575 to a U5A5 on same PCB and package (LQPF64) - are PA11 and PA12 usable in the same way as USB (FS)?b) if changing to U5A5 and PA11, PA12 become OTG_HS_DM, OTH_HS_DP now: does it mean I have to configure now USB HS instead of USB FS (as on U575)?c) how to configure ALT function of USB_HS (if not listed in table) for U5A5?

Hello everyone, I am working on a project using nanoedge studio ia in rating N, I want to check my project with cube ide, I can make a view with tera term or other tool, which shows the result corresponding to my database. I used stm32L475vgt6; The problem is that there is also no display with a simple code that says printf(hello World)

hello, I had read the "um3201-getting-started-with-stellar-studio-ai-plugin-for-artificial-intelligence-ai-stmicroelectronics" document, where can I find the AI Editor software to be launched like in page 5 ?Best regards, Laurent

I am currently working on bringing up a production board design with the OSD32MP157C-512M-IAA. The board is by design very similar to the Octavo systems osd32mp1-red board and the USB part is very similar to ST STM32MP157-EVAL where VBUS pin in uUSB connector through a bead is connected directly to VBUS_OTG on PMIC and to OTG_VBUS on MPU. The board use I2C, SPI, CAN, GPIO's. If I without any power, plug the board in to my PC the board burn so PMIC VDD3V3_USB (LDO4) and VDD (Buck3) are shorted afterwards. I have found a solution that seems to work. The zero ohm resistor towards OTG_VBUS is changed to 10k and the pull-down is changed from 10k to 100k ohm (47+10k on EVAL board) then the board survive. I belive that the 5V try to lift all internal powerQuestion is: have anyone seen similar problem first of all on the EVAL board but also on your own design? And have you found other solutions or root cause to the problem?

Hi there,I recently transitioned my project from the STM32L0CBT6 chip, which has a 128KB flash size, to the STM32L072CZ variant with 192KB of flash memory. As I progressed with my project, the only modification I made was adjusting the flash memory region length in the linker script file to accommodate the larger capacity of the CZ variant. Here is the snippet of the updated linker script:MEMORY{FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 192KRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 20K}Given that the difference between the two variants lies in their flash memory size and the startup files are set for stm32l0xx , I am considering whether I can retain the .ioc file and startup files originally configured for the CB variant. I am relatively new to STM32 development and would appreciate confirmation that this approach is suitable for my project.Thank you.

Hello, I am trying to use the STM32WL5MOC with mbed, has anyone been able to do this yet? I'm particularly interested in the internal RF switch configuration and how what IO it is connected to internally

What is the default public network mode in LoRa ping pong example? There is a function of RadioSetPublicNetwork which can be configured, but if we do not configure it at all, what will be the default mode? Public or Private? Also, how can I set my own private syncword? I thought it doing like this, but compiler is generating implicit declaration error in SUBGRF_WriteRegister() function  Thank you

Hi,I'm trying to interface audio output to the STM32H563ZIT6 microcontroller. I want to use GPDMA1 with the DAC, but I don't know how to configured GPDMA1 on STM32 CUBE IDE. Can anyone help me, please?

- I made one firmware  for P-NUCLEO-WB55 board in which I was using BLE Wireless Stack full, which was directly obtained using CubeMx settings and the bluetooth communication was working well as expected.-Later I checked the FUS and stack version using STM32CubeProgrammer.FUS Version: v5.3Stack Version: v16.12.0.27- Then from the STM32Cube programmer, I upgraded the FUS(stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin) and the BLE Stack(stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin). The current versions are:FUS Version: v1.2.0.0Stack version: v1.20.0.2- After this upgrade, the device is not working as expected. Any ideas regarding the issue?

Hello everyone,I am working with the STM32G0B1KEU6 microcontroller, which comes in a 32-pin package featuring only ports A, B, and C. According to AN2606, the internal bootloader uses the following pins:FDCAN1_Rx pin: Input PD0, used in alternate push-pull, pull-up mode.FDCAN1_Tx pin: Output PD1, used in alternate push-pull, pull-up mode.Given that these specific pins (PD0 and PD1) are not available on my microcontroller, I am curious to know:Can the internal bootloader still be utilized without these pins? Are there alternative pins that can be used for the bootloader functionality on this microcontroller? If the above options are not feasible, does this mean that the bootloader feature is not available for the STM32G0B1KEU6?Any insights or experiences with similar configurations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have a STM32H573I-DK discovery board, purchased for the purpose of getting to grips with Azure IoT.It appears however that the example does not run properly.Compiles and links OK, and I am using the Wireless plug in board as supplied, but it gets stuck initialising the network,I think there is an issue with the .ld and associated .s file.  The Readme says to make modifications but is not very explicit on what the modifications should be.  I have given it a go by adding a RAM_D1 section, but its having no effect.MY suspicion is that it stops as it attempts to run the Azure RTOS, because it has not been allocated somewhere in memory to run, but why doesn't the example run as supplied? Also any attempt to modify the .ioc file followed by a save results in lots of compilation errors, so again, there is a problem there - may not be directly related, but I was trying to modify the RAM sections using .iocDoes anyone have a function project?

Hi,I am using the STM32F407VG and PmodI2S2 to transfer 24-bit audio. For the most part I have followed this tutorial. So far everything works and I have audio throughput and the ability to manipulate it.In order to understand better the underlying code, I want to understand the following:1. In I2S2 > Parameter Settings > Data and Frame Format I have setup 24 bits Data on 32 Bits Frame and in DMA Settings > I2S2_EXT_RX and SPI2_TX I have Data Width set to Half Word. Currently I am receiving 16-bit data which I then restructure into a 32-bit int variable. Would it be possible to receive 32-bit data directly by selecting a data width of Word? I'm a bit confused about this as the method to setup the DMA (HAL_I2SEx_TransmitReceive_DMA) only accepts pointers to a uint16_t even after selecting a data width of word.2. If I2S2 > DMA Settings has two DMA requests (I2S2_EXT_RX and SPI2_TX), does this mean that the callbacks 'HAL_I2SEx_TxRxHalfCpltCallback' and 'HAL_I2SEx_TxRxCpltCallb

Hi!We are planning a product and have considered the STM32MP157 as a basis. Our test platform is the STM32MP157F-DK2 running a locally built Yocto Project image (openstlinux-eglfs distro, st-example-image-qt image) based on meta-st-stm32mp, meta-st-openstlinux, and meta-qt5 layers. The goal is to run a Qt application containing an OpenGL widget mixed with Qt UI elements at 60 Hz frame rate, but on a display bigger than the one shipped with the Discovery Kit.We are currently testing with two different 480x1280 panels with custom drivers. The displays are actually running at 60 Hz as confirmed by hardware measurements. We also see 60 frames with watch -n 2 "grep user_updates /sys/kernel/debug/dri/*/state" while running glmark2-es2-drm (for the first two benchmarks at least). This all seems good, still we are unable to achieve full frame rate with even the simplest Qt5 application (a plain QOpenGLWidget (showing a black screen) embedded into a QWidget, where the QOpenGLWidget gets update()

I have carefully followed the getting started guide for the STM32MP157x-EV1 board. All the steps I took were successful until I reached the "Execute basic commands" section where I am instructed to run the following command:ls /dev/ttyACM*The expected output is/dev/ttyACM0but when I tried running it, no such file was found. With the evaluation board recently connected to my PC through the board's ST-LINK/V2-1 port, the "sudo dmesg" command reveals the following issues:    [ 2144.431929] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd [ 2144.563977] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2144.803980] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.039934] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device number 10 using xhci_hcd [ 2145.171984] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.411986] usb 5-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 2145.524053] usb usb5-port1: attempt power cycle [ 2145.935943] usb 5-1: new full-speed USB device numb

Hello ST Community,   I am working on a circuit using the STM32WB55CEU6 micro controller and bluetooth to transmit information from one of the ADC Pins. I followed some references that have the circuit powered by a USB C connection, however in my situation it will be powered by an external battery (imagining that it is 3.3V - I could add a voltage regulator later on).    As I am not at all familiar with microcontrollers and this whole process in general, I was wondering if I could have someone check my circuit shown below. I have boxed out in the top left corner where the pads will be to solder in wires connecting to an external battery. I connected the battery's positive terminal (labeled the wire VBAT) to the VBAT pin, additionally, I've connected an outgoing +3.3V to the decoupling capacitors and the pocket programmer sections. So the ERC (electrical rules check) in KiCad V7 is giving me the warning “Both VBAT and +3.3V are attached to the same items”. I am wondering

Hello,I am trying to create a HID device using the USB Device code generation in STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.14.1.But I have a problem with my PC not recognizing it as a HID device.MxCube.Version=6.5.0 is working fine and we have investigated the differences within the source codeUndoing the following changes worked correctly./*** @brief Start the USB device* @PAram hpcd PCD handle* @retval HAL status*/HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_PCD_Start(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd){USB_OTG_GlobalTypeDef *USBx = hpcd->Instance;__HAL_LOCK(hpcd);if (((USBx->CID & (0x1U << 8)) == 0U) &&(hpcd->Init.battery_charging_enable == 1U))if ((hpcd->Init.battery_charging_enable == 1U) &&(hpcd->Init.phy_itface != USB_OTG_ULPI_PHY)){/* Enable USB Transceiver */USBx->GCCFG |= USB_OTG_GCCFG_PWRDWN;}__HAL_PCD_ENABLE(hpcd);(void)USB_DevConnect(hpcd->Instance);__HAL_UNLOCK(hpcd);return HAL_OK;}/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Wha

Hi, I have developed custom PCB board with STM32F401RCT6TR as MCU and there is external EEPROM (connected to I2C2), IMU sensor (connected to I2C1) and display (connected to SPI1). I am reading IMU data and displaying it on the screen. When the sensor data is above critical threshold, I am saving this data to EEPROM, and accessing and showing it on the screen. I have 2 buttons to adjust threshold value and saving this value also to EEPROM. The functions work as expected (read, write, show data).I then created task to read IMU sensor and save critical IMU data to EEPROM and another task was created to save adjusted threshold value and displaying data on the screen using FREERTOS in CUBE IDE. In this case, I was not able to write anything to EEPROM. (When I try to access EEPROM, I was reading only 255, which is default value if anything is not written to it.) MCU executes the write function but does not write anything to EEPROM. I tried to write some random data to EEPROM in FRE

Hello,I'm currently designing a bootloader and an application for stm32g474ccu6 MCU (256kB flash). Today I wanted to implement a bootloader feature allowing the user app to take up more than one flash bank in flash memory (Im working in dual bank mode - the default configuration). It's not really clear to me how the RM0440 flash layout looks like for a 128 or 256 kB flash. Let's assume a 256 kB version: are the banks divided into two 128 kB chunks and then the second bank start address is equal to 0x08002000?or are they rather discontinued with a gap-flash region in between (the bank2 start address in the RM seems to be constant?) I tested it and to my surprise, I was able to program the flash memory using bank1 setting in HAL library and addresses starting at 0x08001f800 (presumably the last page of bank 1) going for 40 kB (presumably first pages of bank 2)! This actually contradicts both of my theories - it seems my stm32g474ccu6 acts completely as a 512 kB unit (even considering the

We are developing matter devices with STM32WB5MM-DK.I am trying OTA with the following reference.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:Matter_develop_and_prototype#How_to_customize_your_applicationSo I have a question.1. How can I generate .sfb file from my own project (e.g. XXX-App)?2. Please tell me how to generate a User Key.

Hi,I've just gotten a new microcontroller SPC58EC-DIS from elfa. From my past I worked a lot with STM so I wanted to try something new, but this was the first time that I got something like this:Is it normal that the board comes with soldered wire between components SB28 and SB29 or is this something that I should report to the supplier? BR,MaraLo

Hello there,I am new to the MC Workbench and must configure the B-G431B-ESC1 to use it with a A2212/6T 2200KV Brushless DC Motor.I created a new project in the MC Workbench 6.3.0 and tried generating the project. Once the generation is completed I recieve the following error message: "Completed with errors."I watched the tutorial on youtube which shows different behavior. In the youtube video several ".c" files are being generated and the generation is completed successfully. What is my problem here?FYI: I created a custom motor profile, which is very similar to the "Bull Running BR2804-1700kv".Do you have any tips how to approach this, maybe use the Motor Pilot? Thanks in advance for any help.Best regardsBatu

Hi, I rarely see that the api rfalNfcvPollerExtendedReadMultipleBlocks() returns RFAL_ERR_WRONG_STATE .When will this api return this error code ?My state machine is as follows: while(1) { rfalNfcDiscover(); rfalNfcGetActiveDevice() rfalNfcDeactivate(RFAL_NFC_DEACTIVATE_IDLE) rfalFieldOnAndStartGT() rfalNfcvPollerExtendedReadMultipleBlocks() rfalFieldOff() } All apis return RFAL_ERR_NONE when the issue happens, other than "read extended multiple blocks" api ..

Hi,When i use HAL_CAN_Transmit to send a CAN message on STM32F4, if say I am in error passive or bus off condition, what error does the API return? If I am in error passive, what is the best way to reset the error count to 0?Where can i get the error flags related to this as the HAL_CAN_Transmit does not return the error status such as passive or bus off? There are only two nodes on the bus. Thanks in advance!

Hello,I would like to use the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB to calculate a SHA256 with a key. My implementation or the example HMAC_SHA2_AuthenticateVerify works in STM32CubeIDE 1.13.1 for an STM32L432KCU microcontroller.Source: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-cryptolib.htmlTo rule out the possibility that the example project has implemented something that I forgot to copy into Atollic Studio, I created a new project in STM32CubeIDE and integrated the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB there as I did in Atollic Studio. The hash was calculated correctly there. Now my problem:The development environment Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32 9.3.0 is used for an existing project. I would like to use the X-CUBE-CRYPTOLIB there. If I put the "simple" example there, then the hash is calculated incorrectly. The error occurs on the line if (memcmp(Expected_Tag, Computed_Tag, computed_size) != 0) because the Computed_Tag was not calculated correctly. What could be the reason?     /* Initialize cr
