Using an STM32F373, I setup a USB DEVICE virtual port class.  The connection does work but it takes disconnecting/reconnecting the USB cable once or twice before it gets detected successfully as a serial port/usb device on my linux box.  I use lsusb to see which USB devices are found, and when the connection intialy fails, I get the following message in 'dmesg':"new full-speed USB device number 48 using xhci_hcdusb 3-1: config index 0 descriptor too short (expected 67, got 9)usb 3-1: config 1 has 0 interfaces, different from the descriptor's value: 2usb 3-1: New USB device found, idVendor=0000, idProduct=0001, bcdDevice= 2.00usb 3-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3usb 3-1: Product: my Moduleusb 3-1: Manufacturer: STMicroelectronicsusb 3-1: SerialNumber: 2077345D5646 If I disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it it usually works.Any ideas on what I should look at to fix this issue?Thank you,

Hi,I'd like to create a project using your STM32U031K8U6 device, but it seems, that the project template is corrupt.Creating a project by access MCU selector->STM32U031K8U6, start projectProblem is reproducible on 2 computers. Tried already Help->refresh data, no effect. Clould you pls fix that? Cube Version 6.1, but I think it will affect all versions. Cheers,Florian

Hi, I have implemented the VL53L5CX driver for a Nordic controller, and it works fine. Now, I want to implement the VL53L7CX driver for the same Nordic controller. Can I use the VL53L5CX driver as is, or will I need to make changes? Additionally, are there any hardware modifications required, or can I use the same hardware as with the VL53L5CX?

Hi AllI'm having a problem with FDCAN transmissions and would appreciate any insights.  I have a pair of H563ZI Nucleo boards, and am transmitting FDCAN messages, but the 20th of the 29 bits in the FDCAN extended identifier is always received as 1, regardless of whether it is 1 or 0 when it is sent. The identifier is set correctly into the Tx FIFO RAM in the HAL layer, but is corrupted in the Rx FIFO RAM when it is received. There are no reported error states. This happens not just between the two boards, but also within one board with internal loopback enabled.Attaching a CAN bus analyser, I can see the corruped identifier on the CAN bus.  So the problem is with the transmit/Tx side, not the receive side.I've attached the ioc file, but the full source project is under development and wouldn't be very easy to follow; I will try and isolate the problem into a simpler test program, but in the meantime if anyone has seen similar problems any input would be helpful!ThanksNic

Hello everyone,I am currently developing an IMU array application using the ASM330LHHXG1 sensor and am trying to streamline my interrupt management. This sensor has two interrupt pins, and I am contemplating whether to use both pins or just one. My primary concern is with the Data Ready (DRDY) signal, which indicates when new data from both the accelerometer and gyroscope are available.Does anyone know if the DRDY signal from this sensor is synchronized for both accelerometer and gyroscope data? In other words, does one DRDY signal mean that both sets of data are ready to be read simultaneously? Additionally, I’m considering whether to assign each sensor type (gyroscope and accelerometer) to a separate interrupt pin or to use one pin for both.Could using two separate interrupts improve performance in any way, or would it be overkill for standard motion detection and tracking applications?Any insights or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance!

Quick question concerning L0 internal EEPROM...From RM0377, page 79:Write to data EEPROM...DescriptionThis operation aims at writing a word or a part of a word in the data EEPROM. The usermust write the right value at the right address and with the right size. The memoryinterface automatically executes an erase operation when necessary (if all bits arecurrently set to 0, there is no need to delete the old content before writing). Similarly, ifthe data to write is at 0, only the erase operation is executed. So no erasing necessary, simply over-writing eeprom is okay? This is so unusually comfortable (compared to internal flash workings), that I better ask...

Hi,I am using an STM32L452 and am trying to set the ADC reference voltage programmatically back and forth between the internal VREF (set to 2.5V) and the external 3V3 power rail. This is specifically for ADC1 channels 1 and channel 7. I tried a few different ways (both using HAL and also registers/bits) but does not seem to set the VREF as reference voltage to the DAC. The DAC output value still remains the same as if I use the external voltage as reference.  How do I do that? i.e switch the DAC reference voltage back and forth between internal 2.5V and external 3V3 (or internal 3V3 if it is available). Attached here is the .ioc file and further below is the relevant code. Also if I try to add the following:   // Enable the clock for the VREFBUF peripheral __HAL_RCC_VREF_CLK_ENABLE();  like suggested in some examples, it does not recognize that function and there are no .h files already included or part of the HAL header files/library that

When converting a generated validation report in Nanoedge ai studio (v4.5.0) I've noticed that the format isn't good because it chops off the right-hand side of the confusion matrix. I can see there's a horizontal scrollbar but it doesn't work in the PDF and resizing the document doesn't show the missing part of the table.I don't see a workaround for this because you can't print the report from the popup window where it does display nicely, all you can do is convert to PDF.I've attached an example of what I mean with the produced report...

Hello,I'm trying to use the HW JPEG decoder on an STM32H743 MCU. When looking at the AN4996 Application Note, I found the following table:However, I'm unable to come even close to these values... This is what I measured: JPEG decodeDMA2D YCbCr320x2402,5 ms2,5 ms640x48010 ms12 msI checked my code against the Examples from the Firmware Package:JPEG_MJPEG_VideoDecodingJPEG_DecodingFromFLASH_DMAAll my settings look similar. I'm decoding the JPEG image from DTCM RAM to external SDRAM. Compiler optimization has no effect (everything is done by DMA anyway)...Is there anything else that has to be configured for the JPEG peripheral? Where are the values in the application note coming from?

I have an STM32U83C-DK board and downloaded the git repository GitHub - STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU0: STM32Cube MCU Full Package for the STM32U0 series - (HAL + LL Drivers, CMSIS Core, CMSIS Device, MW libraries plus a set of Projects running on all boards provided by ST) So that I could run the code from this exampleSTM32CubeU0/Projects/STM32U083C-DK/Examples/LCD/LCD_SegmentsDrive at main · STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU0 · GitHub I have the drivers downloaded and in the correct file location however, I have this issue where a specific file isn't found.Below is the error message from the STM32CubeIDE/../../Drivers/STM32U0xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32u0xx.h:101:12: fatal error: stm32u083xx.h: No such file or directory I have downloaded the drivers file as well but I can't find the file within that directory for stm32u83xx.h and was wondering if there's a way to still build the project without it? I did manually put the stm32u0xx.h file into the HAL_Driver directory because it

Hi The .mxproject is generated by STM32CubeMX in the code generation step.  What is this file used for?  Thank you. Pieter.

Is there a datalogger using the internal adc of stm32h747i-disco?

I tried to solve the questions that occurred during the development of STM32 L4 Series through Googling, but I couldn't find anything related, so I'm leaving a post. I understand that even if the built-in Pull Up or Pull Down circuit is enabled, there is no floating state in the output mode, so Pull Up and Pull Down do not affect the state of the pin.(Because of P-N MOSFET Circuit Structure. See figure below)However, when using alternative function output mode, the initial state of pin remains high or low according to the pull up or pull down setting until start the alternative function's output.(For example, using PWM Output Timer & call the HAL_TIM_PWM_Start() not yet.) So I wonder why pull up & pull down operates differently from output mode, even though the same output controller and P-N MOSFET circuit structure are used in alternative function mode. Thanks.

Hi,  I have a STM32WBA55G card and I want to flash an example code but it doesn't work. So I used STM32Programmer to find out why my board wasn't "found". Normally STLink is included and I can go through the usb-c port. But I still get an error if I go through the uart connection: "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again... »Et j’ai toujours l’erreur suivante si je passe par stlink : « Error: No STM32 target found!
