Hello, we are trying to start our custom STM32MP157 board. We encountered some problems that I want to ask about. First is with TF-A, it gets to the SD card init (boot source) and it fails. We have eMMC on MMC2 and it also gives error message. NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157DAC Rev.Z NOTICE: Model: Zegarson board TF-A testing 0.0.10 ERROR: stm32_sdmmc2_mmc_init: DT error ERROR: SDMMC1 init failed PANIC at PC : 0x2ffeb8cf What is really weird about that, after some time playing with MMC configs (pull-ups, 1-bit 4-bit wide bus, speed, etc.) it randomly started working and got to DDR init and only then failed. NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157DAC Rev.Z NOTICE: Model: Zegarson board TF-A testing 0.0.8 NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp1-r2.0(release):v2.8-stm32mp-r2-1-g648de4789-dirty(648de478) NOTICE: BL2: Built : 03:58:54, Jul 13 2024 ERROR: DDR addr bus test: can't access memory @ 0xc0000004 PANIC at PC : 0x2ffeac63 But a few days after we made clean build and it again has SD init problem. What

Hi,  much trepidation here as I'm new to STM32 and new to this forum too.  Looking through the entire inventory of STM microcontroller products, one could be forgiven for becoming a little confused over the 'right choice' or combination of hardware and software packages for a particular project.  I am a little confused! Here is where I am with my efforts so far. I am - as part of my project development - trying to configure a GFX01M2 X-Nucleo diplay expansion board to run on an STM32F303RE Nucleo board.  Following various tutorials online, I am reasonably sure that I have produced a working hardware configuration via CubeMX v6.8.0 (I'm using this version presumably to keep compatability with X-CUBE-DISPLAY v3.0.0 Middleware). I have also configured X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX for this particular display expansion board. My next step is to create the most basic of GUI's so I can test for a working setup of the boards.   To this end, I have used the STM32G071RB as a

I am using a LIS2DE12 to detect when a mechanical shock occurs to my device. The datasheet provides only nominal values for the sample rate and the sensitivity. What is the tolerance on the sample frequency, I am using the ODR nominal rate of 5376 Hz?What is the tolerance on the sensitive, I am using the +/-16 g range, which has a typical sensitivity of 187.5 mg/digit.What is the worst case temperature sensitivity? What is the worst case offset? If worst case values are not available is there some characterization data which could provide some guidance?Thank you.

Hi Team,We are using a STM32F407ZG MCU and we have a UI interface (LCD, Keypad, touch) on SPI1 polling method. We are using SPI2 and SPI3 for DAC interfacing. We have used DMA with time triggered for the SPI2 and managing the SPI3 with Timer.During testing we are seeing the touch is freezing after enabling the SPI2 and SPI3.Individually all are working fine.Appreciate any lead on this. Thanks,Maqsood

Hello everyone, I am using STM32H7S78-DK with TouchGFX HVAC-IoT Demo and I am encountering some problem while I am trying to debug application project. I can flash my code but I can't debug it.Can anyone tell me which is the problem?I am using TouchGFX version 4.24.0, STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 with ST-LINK GDB Server.I didn't make changes to the default code, so I only open TouchGFX demo example and flash it to my board.

Hi Everyone,I use STM32L083 MCU. My code has two sections which are bootloader code and main code. Bootloader Code Start Address : 0x0800000Main Code Start Address           : 0x08006400I implemented low power mode in my main code and used  "HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); " functions. If my main code start adress is 0x08006400, enter stop mode functions is not working and current consumption is around 1-2 mA. However, If I dont use bootloader and arrange main code start adress as 0x0800000, enter stop mode functions is working and current consumption is around 1-10 uA . Can you provide a solution to make the first case work? Best Regards,Nuri

Hi, After successful coding, I suddenly stumbled on this error. I'm simply running this code:  HAL_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */ /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init();   And at the point of  MX_USART2_UART_Init(); it crashes and goes to 0xfffffffe. Any guesses why? It seems like as soon as it tries to do something with the GPIO, it instantly crashes. First it seemed like my linker file offset was wrong, and after changing it worked again, but the next day it was just stuck again. Any guesses?Edit: It's time related. A 10ms delay makes it crash instantly after the delay

Hi all, We have a new project for LoRaWAN CN470 frequency band. We went thru the "RF Matching Network Design Guide (AN5457)" but couldn't find any info about STM32WL chip RF output pin impedance at CN470.  Could you provide the RFO_HP pin output impedance at CN470? Best regardsRay

Hi,In STM32CubeIDE 1.12.1 I right-clicked on a .c file in the Project Explorer view and excluded it from build.  Now I want to include it back in my build.  How do I do that from the IDE?thanks, russ

I'm using STM32H743 in my project. If anyone knows how to disable D-cache, please help!D-cache really interferes with my work - I'm tired of fighting it!SCB_DisableDCache() - leads to nothing.

Hi,i just tried to see the reaction on some events on a system with H7A3 cpu and was surprised:EXTI response time was 50 us !  This is a lot for a ARM cpu running at 200MHz - too much, i would say.ED: wrong timings measured, my error : pins have cer.caps to filter out noise - and also make delays on the signal. See "solution" , timing measured on pin without any caps -> to INT (setting other pin) is close to expected. Here the wrong timings :So i made some tests :EXTI response time on external signal , setting a port pin in INT , check on a DSO the delay:on H7A3 , at 200MHz core, I-cache on, -O0 : 50 us !! (never less than 50, sometimes more...because other INT);on H563 , at 250MHz core,  I-cache on, -O2 : 25 us ! (no other INT coming, INT at prio 13 )on H563 , at 250MHz core,  I-cache on, -O2 : 25 us ! (no other INT coming, INT at prio 1 ) ! no diff.on H563 , at 250MHz core,  I-cache on, -O0 : 25 us ! (no other INT coming, INT at prio 1 ) ! no diff.on H743 ,

Hi,I have been working with the st25r3916 in my reader. My idea is to use a mobile to communicate with the reader in card emulation mode. I have been using the demo code for st (ST25NFCEmbeddedLibSrc_ST25R3916(B)_1.6.0).With IOS it is working fine, and with a samsung with android 14, works the 70% of the times, but I am trying with a Redmi with Android version 13, and it works the 20% of the times.I have the discovery demo board of st25r3916, and both mobiles were working fine, but as the library used in this board was too old, I have purchased the demo board "X-nucle-nfc08A1" with the Nucleao board, to check the behaviour with your code and your library, and in this case, the IOS works 100% of the times, the samsung works 100% of the times, but the Redmi NEVER works. Is there any solution to make the Redmi working? Many thanks, Sandra

You can see my codeThe 'send_frame' / 'CAN_CMD_STD' functions are about CAN bus transmission.Removing 'CAN_CMD_STD' code will make all my code work. In particular, the 'data_set1' array can contain appropriate adc values. But if I add 'CAN_CMD_STD' code to 'send_frame' code, array 'data_set1' is not charged. The transfer speed is so fast that I thought, so I used the delay, but it has no effect....(And in fact I could get new values in my code when I really try transfer to other boards)Can I get help?? thank you.   /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>© Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under BSD 3-Clause license, * the "License

Hi All, From ST website we unable find on the datasheet or more info on LSM6DSLUSTR this part and what is the current status of this part. Besides that, whether both of the part able replace each other.

Hi I am working on SBSFU Application project from STM32U585 project. I have done below changes to the existing project.1. Added my project code SBSFU_Appli_NonSecure project.2. Previously this project was assigned 192KB and it was hardly using 3% of it. And now the requirement is of more RAM, I have increased RAM boundry to 256KB as below in STM32U585AIIX_FLASH.ldRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = NS_DATA_START, LENGTH = 256KB/*NS_DATA_SIZE*/3. Now what I am seeing is I am not getting to jump to NS main() after this"[INF] Jumping to the first image slot" Same kind of experiment I have tried in TFM project and it worked, but I am not able to get the catch here.Need help, thanks in advance...@Jocelyn RICARD

Hi all, I have already searched on the forms and in general did not find an answer to my problem, I will be very grateful to you for help.I need to create an output signal with a frequency of 100 Mhz as CLK in  STM32H745. I used the Discovery Boards (STM32H745I-DISCO STM32H750B-DK) for the test.  1. I used timers with PWM and adjusted the ABM timer clock for 220 MHz, set up pre-scaler and counter period But I achieve only 50 Mhz a clock as a maximum, with settings for 100 Mhz there is nothing at the output for CLK. To detect the clock I use PicOscope6404D (Bandwidth 500 Mhz). 2. I used as output ch A8 and adjusted A8 for  RCC_MCO_1I used the next settings but received the same result as for Timers not more than 50 MHz. Can you explain why I have this limitation (because the device settings show me that I can reach 100 Mhz but in real not )? 3. Finally I used the PA8  HRTIM_CHB2 timer and received high and very unstable frequency wi

Hi everyone,I'm currently working with the STM32MP157 Linux board and need some guidance on setting it up for use with Google Chrome and .NET applications. Could anyone provide a step-by-step guide or any useful resources to get this done?Specifically, I'm looking for:Installation steps for Google Chrome on the STM32MP157 board.Configuring the board to work with .NET applications.Any potential issues or tips for optimizing performance.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks you

HI,I am working on VL53L1 sensor using X CUBE TOF1 software. I want to change the I2C speed to 1MHz. Can somebody guide me how to do it?Thank you

Hi All I am running Unicon GUI on Windows 10 and using it to communicate with STHS34PF80 sensor plugged onto STEVAL-MKI109V dev board.I can fully interact with the senor via the GUI app. Meaning reading and writing all registers of interest.I however want see what registers are being written and read by the GUI so I attached my logic analyzer to the I2C pins but unable to read any sensible data. So I am assuming that the motherboard is communicating over SPI. I want to be able to sniff the interaction between the GUI app and the  senor over I2C.So what do I have to do to make the GUI change communication protocol.Ola

Hi,I have an STM32U5 communicating with a L9963E in order to balance a series of cells, although I think I may be underestimating/misinterpreting the functionality of the IC as I have been struggling to get the cells to balance correctly.Assuming I have set the registers correctly (relevant cells enabled, flags cleared, thresholds defined etc.), could someone clarify to me if, when I tell the L9963E to balance a selection of cells, the IC will actively discharge the cells with the higher voltages until they all reach an equal (lower) value?Or is the IC just simply discharging the cells I tell it to and that it is the STM32's responsibility to read the cell voltages and disable the balancing for each cell when appropriate? I am aware that there is a "Timed Balancing" mode where I could set the "balancing" time for each cell, but I do not know enough information about the cells in order to determine these values. Many Thanks

This might be a dumb question but can the STM32WB5MM-DK power a 3.3V peripheral device? This part of the user manual makes it sound like the whole Arduino shield should not be used to supply any sort of power: Yet according to this table, pin 4 should be able to do what I need

Hi.I'm driving a PMSM with FOC (Workbench file attached for reference) with MCSDK 6.3.0 in torque mode.Main parameters:1400 Hz electrical frequency max -- therefore 16 kHz PWM100 Hz mechanical frequency max~0.03 mH line-to-line inductance~9 V/Hz Kv 0.1 Ohm winding resistanceup to 20 A torque sustainedaround 48 V inputWith the default settings of OCP -- 45 Apk and 47.06 ns filter -- OCP is reliably triggered when Iq reference goes above about 7.5 A. To get to 20 A I have to seriously increase both the filter duration and the threshold, which feels a bit unsafe...Measured Iq and Id plots have very noticeable first-order oscillations, but everything else seems to be reasonably normal, and the torque response (and the speed control as well) is good:The magnitude of Iq and Id's oscillations can be somewhat reduced by a more agressive PID tune (essentially increasing the cut-off frequency of the current loop) but this eventually causes to loop to become unstable (as expected).I hav

Hello ST Community,I was trying to use USBX with ThreadX and it worked. So far so good. But in our project, we will use FreeRTOS and after some research and getting in touch with some people, I learned that I can not use USBX with FreeRTOS. So they suggested to me to use USBX StandAlone. I'm now trying using USBX CDC ACM class in standalone mode. I inited USBX, my virtual comport appears in the device manager. I tried to send data from discovery kit to my PC with this function "_ux_device_class_cdc_acm_write_run" and I could send it. After one try, i tried to send again but this time it didnt send and this function "_ux_device_class_cdc_acm_write_run" returned "UX_STATE_WAIT".  I debugged the code, examine the transmit process. After transmit an interrupt occured and these flags are set;   transfer_request -> ux_slave_transfer_request_completion_code = UX_SUCCESS; /* The transfer is completed. */ transfer_request -> ux_slave_transfer_request_status
