Hello,   I'm trying to bring up a simple ethernet client on a STM32H730VBT6 custom board. Looks like I have a 128KB of Flash and 560KB of RAM and my code would not fit into flash after I have enabled. I modified the linker script to to remap the text section to point from FLASH TO RAM_D1. PS : Not sure what other things I'm breaking by doing this. The code compiles okay and now my memory region looks like this after the modification. I'm having a hard fault @HardFault_Handler() at stm32h7xx_it.c:93 0x24001c08 I believe my lwip heap is pointing to the wrong location in the RAM.    Can someone help me understand how to fix this or map only the sections of lwip to ram? Attached my .ioc file.

I cannot get the RS232 Rx interrupt to work.I am working with the stm3210c-eval board. I know it is no longer available; but it has a version of the processor that I wish to use and Ethernet support.I am initiating the receive via:HAL_UART_Receive_IT( &USART_TDP_Handle, &(USART_TDP_RxBuffer[0]), 1);The call back function HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback) is simple:USART_TDP_ring_Buffer[USART_TDP_ring_Rx_in++] = USART_TDP_RxBuffer[0]; HAL_UART_Receive_IT( &USART_TDP_Handle, &(USART_TDP_RxBuffer[0]), 1 ); BSP_LED_On(LED3);So, if nothing else the LED should turn on when a byte is received. It does not. I have verified the LED works.This is my initialization (not that STcubeMX did not initialize the UART Rx pin correctly):__HAL_RCC_USART2_CLK_ENABLE(); USART_TDP_RX_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE(); USART_TDP_TX_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); /**USART2 GPIO Configuration PD5 ------> USART2_TX PD6 ------> USART2_RX */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = USART2_TX

Hello.I have done a few projects in the past with the above module and am currently working on a motor controller project using an X-NUCLEO-IHM03A and an NUCLEO-F401.  I want to know if the STM32WB5MMHG6 has enough room and power to integrate the motor controller application into the STM32WB5MMHG6 M4 core ?  Has anyone done this or can anyone point me to information regarding this? Thanks

Hi Everyone!! Please confirm if we can use single M95M02 memory with two stm32 microcontrollers?(wherein one stm32 will just write into the M95M02 memory while other stm32 controller will just read from it) If we make sure if first stm32 controller is accessing the memory then other will not use it.Is it possible?? RegardsALPNA TAXALI

When I give the delay time greater than 300 for the code below (500ms or 1000ms), GetTick or HAL_Delay(500); functions do not work.If I make the time 100ms, 200ms or 300ms, it works.When I want to control the delay at longer times, the program does not work.Where should I look for the problem?I am using STM32F030C6T6. if(PA10_On==0) { Tick_PA10_On = HAL_GetTick(); PA10_On=1; } if ( PA10_On==1 &&(HAL_GetTick() - Tick_PA10_On) >= 300) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, GPIO_PIN_14); PA10_On=0; }For example, this code below does not work.HAL_GPIO_WritePin(PA10_GPIO_Port,PA10_Pin,GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(500); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(PB14_GPIO_Port,PB14_Pin,GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(500);But this below code works.HAL_GPIO_WritePin(PA10_GPIO_Port,PA10_Pin,GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(200); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(PB14_GPIO_Port,PB14_Pin,GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(200); Waits of 300ms and below work.

I bought a STEVAL-55G0MBI1, which is the VD55G0 S-Board eval kit. Trying to output the image to my PC, nothing is coming out.  What could be the issue with my setup?

Hello,I am facing a small but very boring issue with the Resume (F8) button of the top tool bar.This button is active when it should not be, while download is in progress and if you click on it, the download fails.This behavior is systematic.Randomly, it is inactive when the download has finished.This issue is not frequent, but it leads to same result, the download must be restarted to be able to launch the debug session.

When making a call to the auto-generated API Custom_STM_App_Update_Char_Ext(), there is a switch statement inside the call  that looks as follows:As can be seen, there is a call Generic_STM_App...(). This Generic function detects errors and returns any errors (as well as OK), but unfortunately, the way the calling Custom...() API is structured doesn't allow passing the return value back from the Generic..() call. Is there a way to fix this issue w/o creating my own function to perform this error detection... THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hi, when using the VL53L1X, it is suggested to check for the range status and 0(zero) is considered the desired range status. Now, as I understand it, the range status 2(two) is dependent on the signal threshold. By default, the signal threshold is set to 1024, and can be adjusted by calling the SetSignalThreshold().My problem is that, at larger distance (around 2m), the signal rate that I am getting by checking GetSignalRate() is way below. Sometimes around 30-60. This results in getting range status 2 all the time. So should i modify the signal threshold value to less than 50 so that I can consider the distance I read is valid. But are the distances valid if I do this? Or what are the possible signal threshold value that I could set so I can get the range status 0?Another issue is that even in open air, I am getting range status 2 with distance being reported at 2.2m~2.7m. This affects my reading because I cannot differentiate between the valid signal between objects or open air. Wha

Using STM32CubeMX (v6.12.1) with USB_OTG_HS enabled (as host) on an STM32F4.On our device, we have the only OTG_HS_VBUS pin connected to the USB VBUS, and it is working correctly as a USB host. I was investigating if I can repurpose this pin (I guess probably not)... which led me to investigating the options in CubeMX.The anomaly: changing whether the "Activate_VBUS" option is checked in CubeMX makes no difference in the generated firmware. (It only changes one line in the .ioc file.) And I can't find anything in the firmware that indicates the pin is being used. Questions:1. Is this a CubeMX bug? What does the setting do?2. Is this pin actually being used?3. If so, is there something in the firmware that indicates and/or controls that?

Hello ST Community!I have a problem and I need your help. I have searched and read most of the related articles but couldn't find a solution! I am using:Hardware: Nucleo H755 board connected directly to the computer.Software: STM32CubeMX version 6.12 and MDK-ARM compiler version 5.41I have carefully read the article: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308 and some other related tutorials, as well as related comments. I have followed the following steps.Configure according to the instructions for CM7 core, no RTOS used.Generate code (MDK Toolchain; min version 5.32).Add MX_LWIP_Process to the main loop.Compiling with the option [ARM Compiler: Use default compiler version 5] results in an unusually very slow compilation time.Compile with option [ARM Compiler: Use default compiler version 6] then compile time is normal but there is an error: ../Middlewares/Third_Party/LwIP/system\arch/cc.h(50): error: 'sys/ti

Hello,I need to use a nRST pin as MCO in my aplication and programm my STM with STlink v3-set. I set up a MCO to output 8MHz signal and set nRST pin to GPIO with code you can see bellow. Now I have a problem with booting - I cannot connect to STM, CubeProgrammer have a error: 10:00:55 : Error: Data read failedCan you please help me, how to fix that? I tried to used software reset, which does not help.btw I can connect to STM only via STlink - I made a custom PCB for my applicationThank you HAL_FLASH_Unlock();HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock();OBInit.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_USER;OBInit.USERType = OB_USER_NRST_MODE;OBInit.USERConfig = FLASH_OPTR_NRST_MODE_1;HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&OBInit);HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch();HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock();HAL_FLASH_Lock();

Hi,I want to do OTA update with stm32wba52 can I use stm32wba55 provided example on BLE heart rate OTA update for stm32wba52.If not then where can I find the reference for stm32wba52.

Hi,I am using STM32CubeMX 6.12.1 to generate a C-based firmware that depends on FreeRTOS. I enabled TrustZone and I have configuration for secure and non-secure part of the firmware. Everytime, I re-generate the code, the Secure project config is setup with incorrect path to RTOS2. This folder should reside in Secure_Project/Middlewares/RTOS2 and not in Secure_Project/RTOS2.Also, in the non-secure project, I would have freertos.h and tasks.h included in stm32h5xx_it.c under Core/Src. I know from the CubeMX that the FreeRTOS can only be included in the secure region and not permitted in the non-secure. However, the CubeMX always insert these inclusion under the non-secure project Core for some reason Kind Regards,Hani

Hello! There is an IGBT driver in a motor controller: SIE20034. Manufactured by ST. It can be bought in online stores, but I can't find any information, description, foot distribution, anything about it anywhere in the world. How can this be? So how is it used? Could someone help me?

I am using the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and trying to code LPTIM with interrupts and no HAL. The code seems to be getting stuck in the Infinite_Loop section in the startup.s file. The comments around this loop say that an unexpected interrupt was triggered. If I remove the NVIC functions in lptim_init(), the controller does not get stuck anymore. I have tried:-setting the IER register to 127 (all interrupt sources enabled) with a breakpoint on the lptimer IRQ handler. The handler is never called.-declared & defined all possible IRQ_Handler functions in stm32l0xx_it.c with a while(1) inside each one, and watched all of them with breakpoints. nothing.-putting the NVIC functions before or after setting the IER register. no change.here is my code for the lptimer: void lptim_init(LPTIM_TypeDef *LPTIM, lpTimerMode mode) { uint32_t tmpcfg = 0; uint16_t tmpier = 0; //enale the oscillator for the peripheral __HAL_RCC_LPTIM1_CLK_ENABLE(); //encoder mode disabled tmpcfg &= ~LPTIM_CFGR_

I am developing a PCB using the ST25B02k component, but I miss the info to generate the correct footprint (die form named SBN12). Can you help me get the chip measurements and drawings? Thank you so much.

Hi,I have a question regarding the implementation of the Qt framework for the STM32H747I-DISCO board. While browsing the Qt website, I noticed an example for the similar STM32H750B-DK board, but I couldn’t find any information specific to the DISCO model. So my question is: will the Qt implementation for the 750B board be compatible with the 747 board? Will it be possible to run the sample applications on both boards without any modifications?I have another question. From what I understand, it is necessary to use a bootloader (due to the small flash memory). Is it possible to access the bootloader code through STM32Cube/gitrepo? And will it be available for the 747 board? (I saw that a HEX file is uploaded on the website.)Thank you in advance for your response.Rafał

Hi, I wanted to know is it possible to use QT designer (with stm32h735g-dk) for GUI instead of TouchGFX.Thanks,

Hello,I'm using STM32CubeH7 1.11.2 and STM32CubeIDE 1.12.1.The zip files available both on github and on st.com for STM32CubeH7 1.11.2 are not functional because many files are missing (not the same in both zip files b the way...). I guess this is because of the submodules in the git repository, I guess the zip generation did not include the submodules.Would be great to re-generate the zip files or remove the links for the zip files and let people download only through git. I have lost a lot ot time dealing with this.Regards

Hello everyone.Because I need to test a newly purchased SPC560-DISP, I tested several commonly used modulesAnd these is my test devices:Devices Used:MCU: SPC560P-DISPCAN: Kvaser Leaf LightV2I conducted tests on several commonly used modules:PITEIRQPWMADCThe test results for the above modules showed no issues. However, when testing the data transmission functionality of the CAN module:Loaded my own test program onto the development board.Kvaser and BUSMASTER were successfully connected.Yet, I couldn't observe any data in BUSMASTER.So, I replaced the SPC560P-DISP with another board of the same model that I had already and repeated the same steps in the same environment. Sadly, I could observe the values I intended to transmit in BUSMASTER.What settings might I have overlooked that could cause this abnormal behavior? Or could the development board might be damaged? ThanksLouie
