Dear Sir/Madam,X-CUBE-AI 9.1.0 has been installed in the STM32CubeMX on my laptop. However，there is an issue: When I try to select one of applications (SystemPerformance/Validation/ApplicationTemplate)，they are grey and seem those choices are not active. I have tried to reinstall the X-CUBE-AI, but no luck. I do appreciate your advice to help me overcome this issue. Many thanks Q Shan

I am trying to create some example code for a Nucleo G474RE board and one of the initialization steps was whether I would like to use the BSP for the Virtual COM port, user LED and user button. Note that this is what the configuration looks like Building straight out of the box we run into a build error where it cannot find COM_InitTypeDef. This is because the USE_BSP_COM_FEATURE macro is not set to 1. If I hand code this to enable the COM feature, I run into a second build error where this code is generatedvoid EXTI15_10_IRQHandler(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 *//* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 0 */HAL_EXTI_IRQHandler(&H_EXTI_13);/* USER CODE BEGIN EXTI15_10_IRQn 1 *//* USER CODE END EXTI15_10_IRQn 1 */}The problem is that the handle H_EXIT_13 is never definedMy STM32CubeIDE version isVersion: 1.16.1Build: 22882_20240916_0822 (UTC) My HAL version for the G4 series is1.6.1 Has this issue been raised internally? One other issue with configur

Hi folksI am currently trying to communicate with the TLV493D-A1B6 3D hall sensor. As board, I'm using the NUCLEO-F103RB. To make sure I didn't mess up any connections or anything else, I verified my setup with an ADS1015 adc which I can read out over I2C. Unfortunately, I am not able to find a valid address whilst sweeping through all possible addresses. I always get "HAL_ERROR" after using the following routine. With my other I2C device, I get 3 valid addresses. for(i=1; i<255; i++) { ret = HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c1, (uint16_t)(i<<1), 3, 5); if (ret != HAL_OK) /* No ACK Received At That Address */ { HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, Space, sizeof(Space), 10000); } else if(ret == HAL_OK) { sprintf(Buffer, "0x%X", i); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, Buffer, sizeof(Buffer), 10000); } }For further information, any data sheets are available here: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/sensor/magnetic-sensors/magnetic-position-sensors/3d-magnetics/tlv493d-a1b6/Than

Hello, can someone please help identify this IC. It is on a PCB that controls the low pass and gain on a subwoofer if that helps. Thank you.

Hi, Currently I am working on how to use use cryp1 and cyp2 hardware efficiently. How to know it is using crypto hardware when working with openssl. how to check the efficiency?Currently these configurations are enabled in my kernel.CONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_STM32_CRC=yCONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_STM32_HASH=yCONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_STM32_CRYP=y but still I am not able see /dev/crypto dev is listed.Currently my cat /proc/crypto output is something like thisname : cmac(aes)driver : cmac(aes-arm)module : cmacpriority : 200refcnt : 4selftest : passedinternal : notype : shashblocksize : 16digestsize : 16name : aesdriver : aes-armmodule : aes_armpriority : 200refcnt : 3selftest : passedinternal : notype : cipherblocksize : 16min keysize : 16max keysize : 32name : aesdriver : aes-genericmodule : aes_genericpriority : 100refcnt : 1selftest : passedinternal : notype : cipherblocksize : 16min keysize : 16max keysize : 32name : ccm(aes)driver : stm32-ccm-aesmodule : stm32_cryppriority : 200refcnt : 1selft

Hello,      I am trying to test out my TIMEKEEPERS square wave output.  I set my frequency, then enable.  However, I do not get a signal out.  The SNAPHAT is attached to the IC, so I am not sure what is wrong.  Do I need to read after every write, restart the crystal, something else?  If anybody knows what to do, I appreciate some guidance. Thank you

Hi,Currently, I am using EEPROM (p/n:M24M01-RMN6P) for data logging. The chip is operating at 3.3V and the circuit shown in the figure below. An incident happened that the EEPROM content has been erased and when we read back the contents of the EEPROM, the values are all OxFF.1) Any design error in the EEPROM circut?2) What are the possible causes that the EEPROM could have been ereased?3) under what test conditions that it will happen?4) How to prevent the same incident happen again?5) What is the maximum ambient temperature that an EEPROM can operate reliably at? Thanks and regards,

Hello, The documentation and flyers of the STLINK-V3MODS specify that the product includes an USB to UART bridge. My custom board with the V3MODS works for JTAG/SWD, I2C and Virtual UART. However, the documentation and sample code does not contain an API for the UART. Is such feature planned for the future  ?In the mean time the manual states that CAN has not been tested with real CAN bus. has this already been done ?

Hi and thanks in advance !My application uses a STM32G0B0 to control an LED driver through PWM among other things (pin (26)-PB14).The device can receive commands and I have added an option to jump to bootloader through a special command to perform firmware updates through USB. This works well, however, the pin I use to control the PWM LED driver remains high while in the bootloader, which could cause the LED board to heat up too much.I have tried to stop the timer and configure the pin low before jumping, and it works to pull the pin low right until the jump is actually made.A pull-down resistor soldered between the PWM pin and GND did not change this behaviour either.Could the bootloader be forcing this specific high ? What other options could there be to make sure it remains low while in the bootloader ?Here is the current bootloader jump code, stripped of my attempts to turn off the pin before jumping :  void JumpToBootLoader() { void (*SysMemBootJump)(void); HAL_DeIni

Dear All,I started working on the STM8S Mcu's recently. Here I have some basic queries.1)By using this ST-Link V2 in circuit debugger and programmer. (ST-LINK/V2 - ST-LINK/V2 in-circuit debugger/programmer for STM8 and STM32 - STMicroelectronics) Can we use it for both flashing and debugging to this STM8S103F3 Mcu?2)Can I use STVD application alone for both flashing and debugging to my Mcu? or3)STVP application is also required? (but STVP is flash programmer right)Please any one can guide me to get clear understandings of this queries.Thank you in advance!Best regards,Akhil Kumar.

I tried everything to send a simple wave through the DAC pin using HAL and STM32CubeIDE to configure the project. What I've checked that works: - Clock source- Trigger source- Output pin configuration- Built-in triangle and noise wave generation. I tested identical piece of code on STM32H747 and it just worked without any issues. The DMA is configured properly, as memory to peripheral, source address increment enabled, destination address increment disabled. Circular mode. Data length: half word. Request DMA1_OUT1. When I start output with:   auto status = HAL_DAC_Start_DMA(m_dac, m_channel, (const uint32_t*)m_test, 64, DAC_ALIGN_12B_R);   I get the status HAL_OK. However, 0V on oscilloscope. So I registered an error handler with:   HAL_DAC_RegisterCallback(dac, HAL_DAC_CH1_ERROR_ID, dacError);   And this function is indeed called right after `HAL_DAC_Start_DMA` is called. The buffer contains 64 uint16_t samples, of altering 0 and 4095 values. It is aligned to 32-bi

Hello,I am looking to add an STDC14 header to my design.I am concerned that by putting such a connector on the board, this will allow 3rd parties to simply buy an STLINK and reprogram my device.I am not familiar with STM32, so in the interest of speed, can anyone tell me if the SWD and BOOT pins can be disabled following an initial programming? If not is there a method of protecting these pins from 3rd parties? Thanks

Hi ! i have found that if you try to select power voltage detector in (external input analog voltage) on Cube Ide there is a missing line in the code generated that make the code don't workhere an example of code generated for the option with the internal analog voltage:  void HAL_MspInit(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN MspInit 0 */ /* USER CODE END MspInit 0 */ PWR_PVDTypeDef sConfigPVD = {0}; __HAL_RCC_SYSCFG_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); /* System interrupt init*/ /* Peripheral interrupt init */ /* PVD_VDDIO2_IRQn interrupt configuration */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(PVD_VDDIO2_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(PVD_VDDIO2_IRQn); /** PVD Configuration */ sConfigPVD.PVDLevel = PWR_PVDLEVEL_RISING_0|PWR_PVDLEVEL_FALLING_0; sConfigPVD.Mode = PWR_PVD_MODE_IT_RISING_FALLING; HAL_PWR_ConfigPVD(&sConfigPVD); /** Enable the PVD Output */ HAL_PWR_EnablePVD(); /** Disable the internal Pull-Up in Dead Battery pins of UCPD peripheral */ HAL_SYSCFG_S

Good day.I've got an issue when trying to connect two STM32 MCUs via SPI.STM32F429ZI is master and STM32F103RB is slave.Master is running at 168MHz and slave runs at 72MHz. SPI clock is the lowest possible - 164.062kHz.Slave select is hardware controlled.Clock polarity is 0 and clock phase is 1. Data frame size is 8 bits. Both devices have the same configuration.Slave device uses DMA in circular mode to receive and transmit. Receive/Transmit is initiated only once on the slave. The firmware is coded with use of HAL.Master's firmware uses interrupts to read data received via SPI and the source code uses mbed. Now, master sends 26 bytes to the slave and receives 26 bytes of response. The operation is regular. Now, the issue I encounter is that the data is sent by slave starting from the second byte, e.g. the buffer provided to HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA for transmission contains 0x01, 0x02, 0x03... 0x1A and the master receives 0x02, 0x03, 0x04..0x1A, 0x01. Now, the last 0x01 received actu

Hi everyone.I have a board STM32F413 disco. How can I use TouchGFX to display on LCD on this board?I have found the template in TouchGFX but I didn't see it.Is there any way? that I can display LCD on the STM32F413 disco, or where I can find an example to sourcode for this.

Purpose: We would like to implement timer input capture in DMA mode on STM32H723 platform without interruption.Current Problem: Use Cube MX to configure relevant parameters, only use CH2 of TIM4 as the direct mode for input capture, select Reset Mode for Slave Mode, select TI2FP2 as the trigger source, and then generate the corresponding code. The frequency measurement works, but only once, if the external input frequency decreases from 1000Hz to 500Hz, it can only reset the programme to run at full speed again to measure 500Hz again, otherwise it will always be 1000Hz. not sure what the problem is? I suspect the trigger source may not be configured correctly? Or do you have to switch on both CH1 and CH2 channels, one directly and one indirectly? Please refer to the attached file for the configuration.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!   *This post has been translated from Chinese to comply with the ST Community guidelines.

Hi all.  I'm trying to display local floating point variable data via a button click in text area fields on my TouchGFX project screen.  I seem to be having an issue.   It appears that the fields are being populated with the format specifier that preceeds the variable in my code.  Here is my button function:  void main_screenView::s_type_bobbin_btn_click() { // Test constant, floating-point variables for bobbin dimensions const float bobbin_length = 12.51; const float bobbin_width = 7.36; const float bobbin_height = 3.88; // Convert the float values to strings and store them in the buffers Unicode::snprintf(bobbin_length_data_areaBuffer, sizeof(bobbin_length_data_areaBuffer), "%.2f", bobbin_length); bobbin_length_data_area.invalidate(); Unicode::snprintf(bobbin_width_data_areaBuffer, sizeof(bobbin_width_data_areaBuffer), "%.2f", bobbin_width); bobbin_width_data_area.invalidate(); Unicode::snprintf(bobbin_height_data_areaBuffer, sizeo

Hi, I have copied a sample project from STM32Cube_FW_WBA_V1.4.1 to another location. After importing the project into CubeIDE1.16.1 and compiling it, I got the error message:   make: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Utilities/trace/adv_trace/stm32_adv_trace.c', needed by 'Utilities/stm32_adv_trace.o'. Stop.    After cleaning the project, same result. Can somebody help?

Dear ST Community,I have just downloaded the software https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25sdk001.html and I am trying to run the python demo DLL_Demo.py. When I attempt to load the DLL there is an exception: ST25R3911_Dll = windll.LoadLibrary(DllName)File ".\Python310\lib\ctypes\__init__.py", line 452, in LoadLibraryreturn self._dlltype(name)File ".\Python310\lib\ctypes\__init__.py", line 374, in __init__self._handle = _dlopen(self._name, mode)OSError: [WinError 193] %1 is not a valid Win32 applicationI _think_ this is because the ST25R3911DiscoComm.dll is 32-bits, but I am using python 64-bit. Python-64 cannot load a 32-bit dll.Do you have a 64-bit version of this dll please? Thanks,Ben

Hi, i have started testing the STM32WL Nucleo-64 with the Lorawan End Node Firmware. At first it seem to run OK, the device connects to the gateway and the data packets reach the platform i use. But the device stops working correctly with a few mwters of distance. I have seen that the BGS13S4N9 chip is not being powered, and the signals FE_CTRL1, FE_CTRL2 and FE_CTRL3 are always on reset state, though the firmware is setting them on.I have not modify the pinout or any configuration not needed. Is this a firmware configuration issue? Kind Regards,LuisL

Hi guys,Just wonder if there is anyone tried LwIP on the newer version of stm32cubeIDE (1.12 and above). I am trying to integrate stm32F4 series with LAN8720.There is a "Platform settings" which requires us to select the driver_PHY. I am using LAN8720 but I can only see "Undefined, LAN8742 and DP83848" as options.I went thru UM1709, UM1713, UM1718 and AN3966 but still could not find the solution. At least UM1718 section 19.10 still mentioned there should be a "user PHY" but this option is not available in my current version of IDE.Maybe I should just try to modify LAN8742's BSP driver's code? or is there anyway I could manually include the component drivers to be used in my project? If yes, may I know how? (Newbie to ethernet protocol)

I want to use arm_math.h in stm32cubeide. Best regards.

I want to confirm the limitations of GPIO interrupts on STM32 devices. I am using an STM32H7 device, and observed that interrupts cannot be configured for PA0 and PB0 at the same time.  I could not find any confirmation regarding this in the device datasheet, can anyone give me the confirmation on this.

Silly question but eyesight gets worse with age.How do I attach the LiPo battery? I do see the polarity but I just can't discern whether I shall slide the contact in from the side, or press down from above. And how do I pull it apart afterwards? Better ask than doing something ***.
