Hi everyone,During developing applications with STM32l476, using HSI16, I choose STOP1 or STOP2 mode to reduce power consumption , and wake up with RTC Alarm.if (HAL_RTC_SetAlarm_IT(&hrtc, &sAlarm, RTC_FORMAT_BCD) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } HAL_SuspendTick(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP1Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); //HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);Documentation states that RCC clocks (and most peripherals) are stopped during Stop mode, thus clock re-init is essential for proper wake up.Do I have to also re-init peripherals used before entering Stop mode ? For example//Not only SystemClock_Config(); HAL_ResumeTick(); //But also HAL_UART_Init(&htim3); HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim16); ... In the same spirit, do I have to De-Init peripherals before entering Stop mode ?I have tested both init/DeInit and not, and both ways seem working, but is it safe to leave peripherals "as they were" before sleeping ? Is Init/Deinit for sleep "lost" cycles ?

Hi guys.I've been trying to work hardware video decoding for a few days but it doesn't work. Latest situation is as follows:I think I made all the settings correctly.1- Enable JPEG.2- Enable MDMA channel 6 and 7 for JPEG output fifo - input fifo.3- Enable NVIC.4- Add videotask in RTOS.5- Enable hardware decode.6- Select video decoding strategy ==> double buffer.7- Add linker code in to STM32H7B3LIHXQ_FLASH.ld for Video_RGB_Buffer.Thats all.But video decoding only works in software direct to framebuffer mode and 480x272 resolution. It doesn't work hardware decoding.Do you have any ideas for this?

HELLOI would like to start working with ST microcontrollers.I work with an 8-bit Atmel.Interested in moving to ST32I purchased a STM32373C-EVAL development kitI installed STM32CUBEIDEHow can I start step by step.Explanation - videos and so on.Thanksitzhak

Hi everyone!Possibly I'm not able to see the right parameter to modify and so I hope there is an easy answer to my question. I'm working with the STM32CubeIDE with a project to begin to test how ADC works for STM32G474RE. I'm working with the graphical configurator (I think it is the old STM32CubeMX integrated into the STM32CubeIDE). I'm trying to select the PLLP input clock for the ADC12 in the Clock Configuration page. I think it should be performed by mean of an ADC12 clock mux. That mux should be set to select between SYSCLK and PLLP clock inputs. But I was not able to do that. Even changing the ADC1 parameters in all way possible then I couldn't accomplish that task. It seems that only SYSCLK is available. Does anybody experienced the same? How did you resolve it?

Hello everyone,I’m encountering an issue with the srand() function in my STM32H747 project, and I would appreciate your insights on what might be causing this problem.Hardware:MCU: STM32H747IIT6Custom boardSoftware setup:CubeMX-generated projectCube CLT version: 1.17Firmware version: 1.12.1Problem DescriptionWhenever I call the srand() function, my code immediately ends up in the exit handler. To troubleshoot, I created a minimal project with no additional middleware (bare minimum setup), and in that setup, the srand() function works without any issues. However, in my main project where I need both lwIP and FreeRTOS, calling srand() causes an exit. The project was created following this guide:How to Create a Project for STM32H7 with Ethernet and lwIP Stack.I made one modification to the guide: instead of using the default OS wrapper, I selected CMSIS_V2.Currently, I am only using the M7 core. What I’ve Tried So FarMinimal project without lwIP and FreeRTOS -> srand(12345) works fine.Pro

I am developing an Android app to read values from the NFC-v tag (ST25DV64KC). To revalidate my implementation, I am using the ST25 TAP app and then sending a custom command to test the commands according to the data sheet (ST25DV64KC). From an Android device, I am not able to test the commands related to the fast transfer mode. Whichever command I send with the fast feature (like FastReadSingleBlock), the response is a "Tag not in the field" error. Whereas if other commands like "Read single block" or "Read configuration" execute, the command returns the value with success. The command I am using for FastReadSingleBlock is 01 C0 02 00. Could you please help me to find the proper command to execute the fast features? In the end, I would to send the text or any file via FTM.

Hi, how exactly is the cortex_m7/gcc/libtouchgfx-float-abi-hard.a built (i.e compile and link options)? For example if a make a object dump on the lib I get:touchgfx::muldiv(long, long, long)But the header file use int32_t instead of long and that gives a link error.undefined reference to `touchgfx::muldiv(int, int, int) If I change the header file to use long instead it builds.

I would like to measure motor load torque using the FOC Iq current. Am I correct that torque should equal Iq*Kt. I am using the ST Motor Control SDK 5.4. I have characterized the Kt of my motor. I calculate Iq [mA] = Iq_s16 * VDD [mV/(Rshunt*Gain*65536) When I test with a torque meter, I'm calculating roughly 2x the torque as compared to the torque meter. Is there something I'm missing in my calculation?

Hello there :)I'm trying to use a KSZ8863 Ethernet PHY with the STM32F767. I'm using the Nucleo F767ZI Board where i unsoldered the jumpers to the onbord PHY. The KSZ8863 is then connected via the Morpho connectors.I just used the Code generated by the CubeIDE with rtos and lwip.By now I can configure the PHY via MIIM (MDIO, MDC) with no issue.but I have no communikation with the Ethernet.Looking at the RMII interface via logic-analyzer i can see the 50MHz clock. And the data send from the Phy to the STM32 with corresponding frequency. But when i look at the Date send from the STM32 to the Phy it looks like the µC sends with a to low frequency. (if im right with 2.5MHz) . So it looks like the STM32 uses a wrong clock. So far the only thing I could find is thatSYSCFG->PMC |= (SYSCFG_PMC_MII_RMII_SEL);selects the used interface (and with that the clock?).(See STM32F767 datasheet page 1776 / 42.4.4) In the Figure 549 Clock Scheme, there is the Sync. divider. bit i cant find anything more

Hi Is there any way to define a ACIM custom inverter?I have only 2 choices : FOC & 6-Stepwhat about ACIM custom board definition? Thanks.

Hi every oneI have defined a custom motor and inverter successfully. Now I need to define custom features like a simple Digital output(LED for instance). Is there any way?or should I cut working on stmcubemx and continue coding after code generated by workbench. in other words:Is there any way to modify workbench generated .ioc file and again generate project file after editing it?(for example after adding a digital output?)Thanks a lot

Hello,I am currently using Linux kernel version v5.15-stm32mp-r2.tar.gz and U-Boot version v2021.10-stm32mp-r2.tar.gz for my project based on the STM32MP family. I have recently upgraded the Linux kernel to linux-5.15-stm32mp-r2.2.However, I am unsure which U-Boot version is compatible with linux-5.15-stm32mp-r2.2. I tried using U-Boot version v2022.10-stm32mp-r2 with this kernel, but encountered the following error during compilation: Error: arch/arm/dts/.stm32mp157c-ccb-mx.dtb.pre.tmp:1478.1-6 Label or path sram not found FATAL ERROR: Syntax error parsing input tree Check /home/vivekb/workspace/source/NGACEM-269/SSB-buildroot/output/build/uboot-custom/arch/arm/dts/.stm32mp157c-ccb-mx.dtb.pre.tmp for errors make[4]: *** [scripts/Makefile.lib:336: arch/arm/dts/stm32mp157c-ccb-mx.dtb] Error 1 make[3]: *** [dts/Makefile:44: arch-dtbs] Error 2 make[2]: *** [Makefile:1173: dts/dt.dtb] Error 2 make[1]: *** [package/pkg-generic.mk:293: /home/vivekb/workspace/source/NGACEM-269/SSB-buildr

Hello, When programming an ELF file into a new STM32L431 chip(blank FLASH) for the very first time, the program does not start running automatically. It only runs correctly after a full power-off reset. However, after this initial procedure, new ELF files can be programmed and executed directly without requiring a power-off reset. What could be causing this issue? I recall that the STM32G0 series had a similar problem.**Additional details:**- BOOT0 is connected to ground via a 1M ohm resistor.- The STLINK V3 MiniE Vtarget is connected to the board’s 3.3V supply.- OB setting is not touched. Thanks!

Hi All, I need to design an PCB with STM32C011F6 (TSSOP20 package) that will have few inputs, few outputs and an ADC input (0V-3.3V).  I have seen the hardware design guide which talks about integrated oscillators of 48MHz and 32Khz but I'm not sure about if I need an external crystal/oscillator and what should be the value of it (i.e. 32KHz or 8 MHz or any other value). I intend to program it via STM32duino Arduino library.  Any suggestion will be very helpful. Thank you!

Hi,Just to mention that the HW files of STEVAL-DIGAFEV1 board seems to have its Arduino connectors CN2 & CN4 numbered in the opposite way than the Nucleo ones. It's not a big deal, because the pins function/location between Nucleo boards and this little one are corrects. It's only matter of numbering in the schematics and pin 1 square pad on PCB.

I'm using STM32CubeIDE to develop a FreeRTOS application. Sometimes FreeRTOS reports stack overflow for a task at run time.STM32CubeIDE's Static Stack Analyzer is very useful for analyzing the problem. Even so, I would prefer avoiding the problem at compile time. I need the compile tools to report a warning when a task function's maximum stack usage exceeds a value. Is Static Stack Analyzer implemented in STM32CubeIDE, or is it implemented in a standalone tool like gcc/objdump/readelf? How to enable the warning if a function's maximum stack usage exceeds a value, either via graphic or command line option? Thanks very much.

I think it's a common scenario to have (at least some) peripherals which are not enabled until needed?Or, perhaps, just configured at start-up, but not enabled until actually needed.eg, an RTC alarm. But CubeMX doesn't seem to support this:If you don't enable the peripheral/feature, it won't let you configure it;If you do enable it, it will be enabled at startup - no option to leave it til "later"Or have I missed something/?(none of the available tags seems appropriate, so 'Bug Report' chosen as least inappropriate. I'm using F0, but this seems to be general Cube MX behaviour - not specific to any series)

Hello,I am testing UART via a loopback test. This shows that the expected data is being sent on TX and received on RX, but the receive function always times out. This post stated to clear the OVR and RXNE flags before calling the receive function, but that did not fix the issue. My program gets stuck in the while loop while ((__HAL_UART_GET_FLAG(huart, Flag) ? SET : RESET) == Status)inside stm32l4xx_hal_uart.c, where Flag = RXNE. While RXNE is set before calling HAL_UART_Receive, it gets reset on the line if (huart->RxState == HAL_UART_STATE_READY), so the while loop never exits. I am not sure why this line resets RXNE.I have tried different UART peripherals (USART1,2,3) as well as different pins. I also tried using interrupts with UART. Doing this did not fix the issue either.Any possible solutions would be appreciated. Thanks.int main(void){ HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); while (1) { uint8_t arr[3] = {2,4,6}; uint8_t buffer[3]; if(__HAL_UART

When trying to import simplified Chinese characters using an excel sheet, the xml database doesn't receive any input. When renaming the English column to the Chinese identifier, it does import the text assets. Is this an issue in the translations.rb script? When copying the Chinese text from within the excel sheet to TouchGFX Designer, the text does appear, but this is quite labour intensive
