We are beginning to migrate from the L1 to the L4.  Wondering if there is a way to auto-detect which sensor is on the board? I would like to build one fw version which abstracts away which sensor is in use (albeit taking advantage of diff features) but all I see is SWVersion API which only returns version not type.  Both appear to be same address on I2C for us. Thanks, Will

Hi. I'm developing a custom board using STM32WB09TEF7TR microcontroller.I had a problem re-accessing the microcontroller using SWD once I finished programming one time.I found that it is due to the SPI3 (PA3) and one GPIO pin (PA2) sharing the pin for SWD (SWCLK and SWDIO).So, I want to control this microcontroller with two stages, "operation mode" / "programming mode", that change the pin setting from SPI3 / GPIO_out to not assigned pin for SWD. Could you tell me what I can do about this?I failed to change the pin setting using the function below. void enter_SWD_mode(void){GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_3;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_INPUT;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = SYNC_Pin;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_INPUT;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW;HAL_GPIO_Init(S

I want to pair my Oticon hearing aid with a Bluetooth LE audio/Auracast transceiver for streaming from laptop or mobile or TV to my hearing aid. It is a personal use case and am looking at some of the chipsets along with Eval kit or USB dongle that STMicro offers.I wish to know if there is any related example use case with any of the Eval kits that STMicro provides.

I am generating code for the STM32WL33 using CUBEIDE 1.17 and am using CMSIS V2. The IOC editor insists (but does not enforce) that NEWLIB_REENTRANT be enabled before generation. When compiling, the file "FreeRTOS.h" erroneously includes "newlib-freertos.h", which does not exist. Other projects I have that use a similar configuration have different content in the same file, including <reent.h>. Is this what it is supposed to be, and do I have the correct version of 'FreeRTOS.h'. This file looks like it is edited during the generation process, so do I have the wrong prototype? The source is below, with the modification it does compile. CubeMX behaves in the same manner.  /* Required if struct _reent is used. */#if ( configUSE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT == 1 ) #include "newlib-freertos.h" // generated by WL33 IOC-- OR --#include <reent.h> // generated by a different project #endif /* if ( configUSE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT == 1 ) */Thanks.

Generating Code / Run Simulator / Program and Run Target (F4 / F5 / F6) commands fail.Output: which means "command not found" or "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." in english. The funny thing is, that when the build commands are started from the MINGW envrionment, it works. But thanks to several days of digging and comparison to an other machine where it works, I was finally able to find the culprit: on the broken machine, I had a directory with an "&" in the path envrionment variable (thanks to my company's name "... GmbH & Co KG"). This directory is totally unrelated to ST stuff but nevertheless breaks building from within TouchGFX Designer (and also from tgfx.exe). Short term solution until bugfix: make sure no "&" lingers in your PATH variable!

In the search for a distance senor which can sample at highest rate. Given the constraint of a measurement range <1m and accuracy of relative distance changes in the low mm range. Ideally we could get a sampling rate of 1kHz.The VL53L4 sensors would be priced quite reasonable, but I am afraid the sampling rate will not be sufficient to track the movement of our object. Also, is my understanding correct that at he the same accuracy the VL53L4CX should result at twice the rate of returned distance measurements compared to the VL53L4CD. Due to the way how the A/B measurement results are combined. I.e. only one new A(or B) measurement taken and the other value used from before. The VL53L4xD directly returns the distance so I assume it can't be configured in a similar way or could it? I have found a non ST part that could match our requirements, so I'm wondering if ST has any upcoming part with a higher sampling rate in the pipeline as well.

Hi,I'm trying to drive a Maxon 574741 BLDC motor with hall sensors, using your STEVAL-SPIN3204 evaluation board. I have installed MC Workbench, STM32CubeMX and the STM32CubeIDE. I'm rather new to motor control and the parameter setup for my motor in MC Workbench is a bit tricky.I finally am able to run the motor with Motor Pilot and the motor is running quiet and with ease, but I cannot seem to control the speed nor the direction of the motor! There is a potentiometer on the SPIN3204 board but I'm not sure what to do with it. If I activate it in the MC Workbench and then try to adjust it while running the motor, it will cause the motor to change direction in a microsecond and then I get an over voltage error. Even the smallest adjustment on the potentiometer will result in the above. The RPM meter in Motor Pilot shows an RPM value that might be true, but I cannot change it. The "handle" below the meter, "Speed Reference", is moving of its own and if I try to change it manually nothing ha

In the library functions of arduino, I found that there are only existing functions that receive WiFi, uri, and so on. Now I want to receive picture bytes and store them in an array, but I can't find any built-in functions that are used to receive them.

Hi!  I am working on a project where we are using DMA driven SPI-transmissions. I am using LPTIM1 to synchronize readouts of multiple SPI busses. The setup works when the transmissions is equal or below 128 bits (for SPI1-SPI3).  When HAL_DMA_MuxSyncConfigTypeDef.RequestNumber is above 4 (at DMA_PDATAALIGN_WORD and DMA_MDATAALIGN_WORD) it will not work.  From what I can understand this is due to the size of the fifo registers of the SPI-peripheral.  Is there a workaround for this?  This is my current setup: DMA_InitTypeDef txDMAinit; DMA_InitTypeDef rxDMAinit; spiHandle.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; spiHandle.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; spiHandle.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_32BIT; spiHandle.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; spiHandle.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; spiHandle.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_HARD_OUTPUT; spiHandle.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_16; spiHandle.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; spiHandle.Init.TIMode = SP

I have a project that uses DMA in circular mode, and i've implemented the half and complete interrupts necessary to manage the transfer.  I'm using just 2 nodes, and I've noticed that I get a complete interrupt to start the transfer, and then the expected half-complete-half-complete-etc pattern I'd expect.  I've definitely enabled the HT interrupt, but i still always see the TC hit first to start the process. What is that?  Is it a nuance of circular mode?

Hi, I have a STEVAL-STWINKT1B that I am using to log data into my PC with HSDPython_SDK. How can I set the accelerometer range (for example IIS3DWB to 16g)? Regards, Ivan

Hopefully someone can give me a hint on what I am doing wrong.I am logging sensor data with the STEVAL-PROTEUS1 board to the PC using the fp-sns-datapro1 project and the cli_example method. When I try to convert the binary .dat to .csv of the ISM330DHCX by using the HS-DL_NanoEdge_Conversion.bat the hsdatalog_to_nanoedge.py script rises and exception at line  102HSDatalogApp.st_hsdatalog.HSD.HSDatalog_v1 - ERROR - Memory Error occoured! You should batch process your ...It also crashes when converting IIS3DWB .dat, but data logged from IIS2DLPC and SST22H sensors are converted correctly.I have also tried to convert the example samples provided in directory STM32CubeFunctionPack_DATAPRO1_v1.1.0\Utilities\SwUtilities\HS_Datalog\PROTEUS_batch_file_examples\AcquisitionExample and the same behaviour occurs.I am using python 3.8 and fp-sns-datapro1 version 1.1.dat collected by bluetooth via STSBLESens App or by USB in MSD mode have also the same problem.Best regards

I executed "Clock Example" on stm32H747I DISCO. I found that after two minutes of execution, the analog clock was about 15 seconds slower. After 53 minutes of execution, it was about 5 minutes slower, and it will become slower and slower. I did not add any The program code is in the M7 core. The way I compare is to enable RTC and uart in the M4 core, use the HAL_RTC_GetTime() function to read out the rtc time every second, and print it out through the uart. My question is, If the analog clock really slows down, is there any way I can correct it without users noticing?

Hello, I stareted to develop PSI5 interface with L9663. My point is to read initialization data via SPI. If I set DOUT1 as direct data output (CH1_CR1->DOUT1_SE = 0), I am able to measure received data on this pin. But if  I set this pin as interrupt (CH1_CR1->DOUT1_SE = 1), then I am not able to read initialization data via SPI (but interrupt is active).  My procedure: 1. set READ_INIT_DATA1 bit in CH1_CR1 2. Enable PSI5 (with requierd settings) 3. Reading initialization data by this command: After this  INITDATA_RDY in SR3 is not set. Is this procedure correct? What I should write to "init_buf_id" and "Register" bits? I tried to make loop for all possible combinations, but there wasn't any data.   Thank you for your response.

Hello friends!Im devloping GUI using TouchGFX on waveshare OpenH7XXI-C board. When im flashing the code. GUI image is getting splitted  from middel.Touchgfx GUI:LCD output

I use ST25R95 to detect the ST25D tag. I keep the tag on the antenna of the Reader all the time, and some situations have occurred. Hi Even if I place it precisely on it all the time, the tag may not be read probabilistically during detection. Is this normal? The antenna fails to read the tag about two or three times out of ten readings. Please help me,thanks~

This is what I see when writing a new message in the community (or creating a new post). Notice the </> option to insert code snippet.   However, en clicking on the `...` option to expand it, the </> is gone, and I can not find a way to collapse the options to what it was before.   It would be nice to have this fixed. Many thanks.

I want to receive data from my host PC through USB. I'm using the STM32C0 series nucleo board as USB HID device. I have assigned the value of capslock to the user button. and when the button is pressed i want to turn on the user led on the board. the problem is that when i press the user key on stm32 it glows the led but when i press the capslock key on another hid keyboard attaced to my pc then the output is not reflected on the stm32 board. that means it is not receiveing data from host properly . if it's not receiving data properly then why it is turned on by user button . my endpoint settings are as follows.  /* USER CODE BEGIN USB_Device_Init_PreTreatment_1 */HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x00, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0x0C);HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x80, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0x4C);HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x81, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0x8C); // EP1 INHAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig(&hpcd_USB_DRD_FS, 0x02, PCD_SNG_BUF, 0xCC); // EP1 OUT/* USER CODE END USB_Device_

There is a bug in the new cube ide version in the lwip vonfiguration for the STM32F7 LWIP_RAM_HEAP_POINTER (RAM Heap Pointer) 0x30004000There is no such RAM location in the STM32F7. the correct value should be zero but better u guys check it. by the way this option was not there for the F7 LWIP Key options settings in the previous cube ide version.

HiMy board is STM32F407G so I want to understand the tx mailbox callback once interrupt hit I am sharing project in which I am sending CAN1 to CAN2 and CAN2 to CAN1 in loop back mode same ID.So rxindication is working fine and this is the project I got from one of your technical executive  ,so how will "hcan->TxMailbox0CompleteCallback(hcan);" get called because in above line we are clearing "/* Clear the Transmission Complete flag (and TXOK0,ALST0,TERR0 bits) */__HAL_CAN_CLEAR_FLAG(hcan, CAN_FLAG_RQCP0);"which also clears "if ((tsrflags & CAN_TSR_TXOK0) != 0U)" TXOK0 bit also so if condition will not satisfy . please guide me  /* Transmit Mailbox empty interrupt management *****************************/ if ((interrupts & CAN_IT_TX_MAILBOX_EMPTY) != 0U) { /* Transmit Mailbox 0 management *****************************************/ if ((tsrflags & CAN_TSR_RQCP0) != 0U) { /* Clear the Transmission Complete flag (and TXOK0,ALST0,TERR0 bits) */ __HAL_CAN

Hello,On the board NUCLEO-L433RC-P I can see the copper shape(see the copper in the white ellipse). Is the lines  connected? What's the function? Thanks!

Is there a recommended RAM address for placing the framebuffer on the STM32H563?  I just picked out 0x20040000 but wondered if I should just put it at the beginning address (0x20000000), wasn't sure what is recommended.

I am trying to use the standby mode. As the datasheet specifies, it can only wake up from this mode from the reset pin, wake-up pin, or RTC trigger. I searched on the internet to find out how to do it.If I use standby mode like this in the main it works correctly (so without the sequencer):   while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ //MX_APPE_Process(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ for (int i = 0; i<5;i++) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LD3_GPIO_Port, LD3_Pin); HAL_Delay(50); } HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN4); HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN4_LOW); /* Clear the WU FLAG */ __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WU); HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode(); }  But I use Bluetooth and I have to use the sequencer. And I have a function like this:void task_foo() { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(LD3_GPIO_Port, LD3_Pin); count++; if (count > 5) { count = 0; HAL_PWR_DisableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN4); /* Enable WakeUp Pin PWR_WAKEUP_PIN4 connected to PA2 */

I need to connet usb camera to stm32h743. But I can't find UVC(USB VEDIO CLASS) in STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.x\Middlewares\ST\STM32_USB_Host_Library\Class. There is no UVC in cubemx too. Any idea to achieve ti?

Is there a recommended minimum SMT package size and power rating for resistor R4 (8R2) please?
