Hello,I try to test the BLE on my Nucleo-STM32WB55 board.I use the v1.21.0 ST package for WB boards with BLE_Zigbee_Dyn exemple.I can use Zigbee without problems, but i never be able to use BLE. I can't discover device on ST BLE sensor classic.I upload the stm32wb5x_BLE_Zigbee_FFD_dynamic_fw.bin.Thanks.

I am developing in C++ on a STM32U5, with HAL and was trying to figure how to embed interrupt handling in a class. So I've questioned ChatGPT and DeepSeek for a solution and both gave an answer using pUserData field for storing object reference.pUserData is a field provided by any handler (like UART_HandleTypeDef) and ... I do not have such field with my version of HAL that CubeIDE used for building my project.I've pinpointed that problem to DeepSeek that gave me this answer:Okay, the user mentioned that the HAL handlers don't have a pUserData field. Hmm, I need to recall which STM32 HAL versions include that. Oh right, older versions might not have it, especially before HAL introduced the MSP layer with user data pointers. So, is there a version of HAL with that field ? My version of HAL seems not so old (and U5 family is rather new), so how much recent should be HAL version to have this field ? Or both AI are totally dumb ?

In my project I use a L9826, 6 Outputs are used conventionally 2 outputs are not used. In the same project I need to have 2 digital inputs (SPI) and I would like to know if I could use the two unused outputs of the L9826 as HCMOS inputs via the Fault status register; would this type of unconventional use be possible? Thanks

Hello everyone,I'm working on the µc STM32H5, I have an application that runs correctly, and when I configure the threadX in the project for which I've configured the TIM6 as the basic timer and I've released the SysTic for the threadX using CubeMx. I've had a problem with the HAL_Delay API, which doesn't work outside my configured tasks because the TIM6 handler isn't triggered and consequently the uwtic doesn't increment any more.In NVIC I've configured a priority of 15 for the TIM6.After debugging I found that the TIM configuration is correct but the Handler is not triggered.  Any feedback is appreciated!

Hello! I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen, but when clicking Clock Configuration -> Reset Clock Configuration in the IDE, it doesn't actually reset to the board defaults that were configured when the project was initially created, but instead to some bogus values. While playing with my stm32 nucleo64-f401re, I needed to reset the clocks to the defaults that were configured originally, so using this option seemed like the way to go. I clicked the option, regenerated the code, and didn't check back on the clocks page, thinking it reset them to the correct values. Turns out, it set my clock speed way above the limit of my MCU, and random values to the phrepherals, which I ultimatly ended up actually flashing on the board.I'm not sure if this is a bug, but if it is, please let me know where I can report this issue. But first, I figured I'd make a forum post to make sure this is the intended behavior. Thanks!

Hi Experts,We are building a battery based product based STM32G030F6 MCU. We are using Arduino environment as we need multiple Arduino libraries for the project.Well our software is working fine, however we are facing issue with the current consumption. It has to wakeup every 5 seconds and send some data. We are able to put microcontroller in DeepSleep mode using STM32LowPower Library In deepSleep mode it takes around 175uA current. We need to further reduce the current consumption to less 20-25uA. So we are trying to use shutdown mode but not able to use it.When we use shutdown mode, it still takes 175 uA. When analyzed the code we found that it is falling back to deep sleep mode when it does not found LSE. When LSE is available it tries to call function HAL_PWREx_EnterSHUTDOWNMode() It is available in Arduino core for STM32. File name stm32g0xx_hal_pwr_ex.c We tried to call this function (with LSI enabled) in library'sLowPower_shutdown() function instead of f

Hello I have questions about Nucleo-F446ZE. So basically my company already has Simulink and Matlab for new members to learn MBD, and my company also has Nuleo-F446ZE. Previously, I tried to inject the program from Simulink to the Arduino device to make sure that the embedded coder was working and the result was that the program was successfully injected. Then I tried to increase the level to STM32 where we chose Nucle-F446ZE as a test. When I first connected the Nucleo Board to the computer, everything was fine and there was nothing strange. However, when I tried to inject a simple blink program with LED buildin from simulink to the nucleo board, it failed even though I had followed the official tutorial given. After I observed it, it turned out that the overcurrent LED was lit on the board and when I touched the MCU it was very hot. Then I checked the 3.3V line with GND and found that there was a short that was not there before. My question is whether a program injection erro

Hi,It seems the X-CUBE-AZRTOS-F7 1.1.0 is based on ThreadX 6.1.7. But after select 'Enable BASEPRI support', it missed several files which exist in the official 6.1.7 release, they are:tx_thread_interrupt_disable.S and _tx_thread_interrupt_restore.S.Thanks. '

Hi,We have a design that at normal temperatures runs fine (21C). If it goes below 0C it starts failing to boot. The system has the Secure Boot Secure Firmware Update (SBSFU) system on it. We found that putting a delay at the start of the main() function in bl2_main.c seems to allow it to run. The delay needs to be about half a second. Then as we reduce the temperature towards -40C we find we need to increase the delay to over a second to get it to work.Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas what could be going on?ThanksNigel

Hi,i tried to write a option byte, which did not work i think.A FLASH mass erase with the programmer does not work: "Error: Mass erase operation failed. Please verify flash protection"Is it possible to brick a chip with a failed flash write operation?   while(READ_BIT(FLASH->SR, FLASH_SR_BSY)); // Wait to until no flash activity if(HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); // Unlock FLASH HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock(); // Unlock Option bytes WRITE_REG(FLASH->OPTR, 0xfbeff8aa); SET_BIT(FLASH->CR, FLASH_CR_OPTSTRT); while(READ_BIT(FLASH->SR, FLASH_SR_BSY)); // Wait to until no flash activity

Dear STM32 Community,I am working on a PCB design for the STM32WL5 and would like to seek confirmation regarding my design approach. Specifically, in the top layer, I have an RF signal track, and in the second layer, there is a GND plane. However, I have cut the GND plane directly below the RF signal track.Could you please confirm if this design approach adheres to best practices, or if there are any potential issues with this configuration? I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions based on your experience with STM32WL5 designs.Looking forward to your feedback.Thank you in advance!

Dear ST experts. We are a module manufacturer. We have designed a module based on WL33. We have been using ST's dk board for verification. However, when we tested the distance, the original dk board was about 200 meters. With a 20dbm and -12X sensitivity, we have high expectations for this chip. Do you have ST distance test reports and parameters?2. If our deviation is <2.5Khz, does it mean that we need to replace the TCXO? B.R. Weili Wang.

I would like to know, in the Stellar SR6G7, whether the BCS code will execute first or if we can configure a custom Boot Manager to execute first. Since I need to run secure boot with HSM, I want to configure the Boot Manager for PLL clock initialization and run the HSM first. Then, the BCS will execute the handshake with the HSM. Is this possible in the SR6G7, or will the BCS handle initialization and perform the handshake with the HSM during startup before any custom Boot manager?

Hello! Can you tell me the reasons and meaning of the necessity of grounding the center of the ST25R3916 antenna loop?In X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 the jumper between the center of the antenna loop and ground is closed, but in ST25R3916 Discovery Board it is open.Best regards, Rob.

Hi everyone, In my company, we are currently working on the IOT solution that implements ST4SIM-200M module on our PCB. To shorten things up, we are using SIMCOM modem with the psychical SIM card and it's working ok as we expected. Our next step was to implement eSIM so we practically replaced the psychical SIM card with the ST4SIM-200M module. Out of the box, after activating default 50Mb profile on Truphone portal, network is started and working ok.  So, the next step for us was to be able to add some more profile to the eSIM module and SIMCOM provided us with some AT commands to manage/manipulate these profiles on the eSIM module. For example, we acquired the local provider QR code with the eSIM profile and activation code for our mobile data plan, but somehow we are not able to do this. Is there an support or some manual/tutorial for the ST4SIM-200M where this profile management procedure is shown or this cannot be done in this way at all.Sorry, t

Hello!I need to implement a task in FreeRTOS for my project that makes GET, POST, and PATCH requests to a server. So far, I have managed to send a UDP message to a specific port on a PC thanks to the following post:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308 Now, I would like to implement the task to send the requests. I have searched the forum but haven't found a clear conclusion. What catches my attention is that in the project I created with STM32CubeMX, there is the file http_client.h in Middleware -> Third_Party -> LwIP -> src -> include -> apps, but I can't find the http_client.c file with the functions.I have found in the following link (https://github.com/yarrick/lwip/blob/master/src/apps/http/http_client.c) I have copy the http folder in  Middleware -> Third_Party -> LwIP -> src -> apps. And I have tried with the following code: void http_get_task(void const *pvParam

I get this error when trying to using the BLE_heartrate example for the nucleo-WB09KE. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the IDE.

Hi,I am learning the CAN communication based on register programming. For now, I dont have anything complicated on my mind, dont have any filters or queues set up for CAN packets, my goal is to start a simple data transfer via CAN between my STM32 and ESP32 acting just as a dummy echo transceiver. I wrote code aiming for 1 Mbps speed (its not crucial, but 1 mbps should not be a problem even on a breadboard), 11 bit identifier, 1 byte data length, no crc, I am using TJA1050 as transceivers for both ESP and STM. My CAN_Setup function is verified with the debugger, it does exactly what its asked for (in terms of bit manipulation). However, problems occur when I try to transmit a byte of data in the CAN_transmit function. Some actual data is generated on the TX line, but its completely wrong (thats not the main problem considering its only development phase.) I can not write any data to the TIR, TDTR and TDLR register (but the mailbox itself is free, its not in the pending state). When I r

Hello everyone,I have been flashing the code written in AutDevKit Studio 2.4.0 using UDE STK 2021 for the AEK-AUD-C1D9031, which uses the SPC582B60E1 MCU. I want to start debugging the code line by line using breakpoints.Currently, I have the option to add breakpoints in AutDevKit Studio, but it is of no use since I am flashing the code with UDE STK 2021.Could someone guide me on how to add breakpoints in UDE STK 2021? Also, how can I add variables to the watch window?I referred to the manual I attached but couldn’t figure out the exact steps to add breakpoints or watch variables in the program shown in UDE STK 2021.

I have developed as much as I can using a stm32F746G-disco.   Now I need to make a custom board. I need to be able to allow for firmware updates on the custom board.  I will use st-link for most of my development, but would like to leave that it off the board.   What do you suggest to use as a means to be able to update the firmware in a final product.   I do not have a need for USB OTG in my project, but maybe use it just for updates?Micro Sd, USB OTG FS or HS?  Something else? I appreciate any suggestions!

I have SPC58NH-DISP board for my application development. I am trying to program the board using SPC5Studion but I am unable to do it. For me "Execute and Debug Your application" task is disable even if in SPC5Studio UDE plugin is installed. UDE plug in is installed by using this link : "SPC5tools - http://spc5tools.spc5studio.com"". NOTE: Board is connected and power supplied.

We designed a buck converter with (300-800) input DC voltage and the output voltage is 24V.  The max load current is 150mA.  We noticed two issues here:1. The device fails when we try to measure VDD pin voltage with reference to Power Ground (DC input ground).  Though the VDD voltage is with reference to device ground (pins 1,2,3,4,6), but why it should fail when we use power ground as a reference with a Digital Multimeter.  This has happened thrice and in all the cases, the device failed silently (no sounds, no physical damage etc.,).  All this happened at 150V DC input voltage itself.2. In the second case, the device failed at 800V DC input when we tried to connect 100mA resistive load.  No probe is connected anywhere in the circuit.  However, we used the same compensation network as given in ST AN 5380 (15V, 1.5W buck converter and could not arrive at the values for 24V output voltage.  If the compensation network is a problem, can someone ple

I have a project that uses the nBOOT pin for GPIO output and cannot pull it in any direction during POR.  Therefore, the nSWBOOT0 bit needs to be programmed to 0 (its default is 1) before the code will function properly. What is the recommended practice for programming option bits in a production environment?I can't rely on, e.g., someone digging through menus in CubeProgrammer for each unit.I could have my code test for the proper bits at startup and program them if needed (the accepted answer to this similar question), but that does not strike me as an ideal solution because:It's wasteful (permanent code in the firmware that only operates once in the device's lifetime)With nBOOT floating at boot, device behavior is unpredictable before nSWBOOT0 is programmedIs there perhaps some sort of automation available in CubeProgrammer that would require minimal user interaction?

Howdy,I am working with the STM32U575 and wanting to use the lower power capabilities of the ADF. The problem is that, for me to get the use I am looking for out of the ADF, I need to operate it constantly at 4 MHz. For this reason, I want to maintain the HSE when the system enters stop mode 2. I know that this is not directly supported, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this anyway. I was also thinking that it could be possible to disable all the peripherals manually in a similar way as stop mode 2 and put the system in sleep mode. My one hesitation for this method is that I would need to dedicate so much time to finding every peripheral's interrupt register and disabling them. Any suggestions on how I should handle this would be much appreciated. Hope you all have a wonderful day. :)
