Hello,I am new to the STM32 development environment and real-time programming. I have the STM32H573I-DK development board and have followed the workshop provided by ST, available on the wiki:https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_STM32CubeMX_Secure_Manager_on_STM32H57I am using STM32Cube_H5_V1.4.0. However, the default RTC clock configuration does not work. During RTC initialization, I am forced to configure it with the LSE source, otherwise, the program gets stuck when executing the SystemClock_Config() function. After this modification, the program eventually works, and timestamps are correctly displayed on the serial terminal. However, I need to integrate FreeRTOS into the non-secure part of my application. When I add the X-CUBE-FREERTOS package (version 1.3.0), generate, and compile the project, I encounter the following errors:  Secure_manager/Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/portable/GCC/ARM_CM33/non_secure/port.c:1047: undefin

Hi Everyone          I confuse about uint8_t or uint16_t on stm32cubeide. When going to debug mode the Live Expressions (tab bar) when I change format to decimal value it shows negative value if the value more than 127 for uint8_t and 32767 for uint16_t. It should be store value 0 to 255 or 0 to 65535 without sign. Is it correct?Hex format     Dec formatBest regardwatchaphong

Hello Community, I have an observation from my attempt to daisy chain multiple AEK-POW-BMS63EN devices.  I have made a battery pack which has two 14-cell Battery modules in series. One module is supposed to be connected to one AEK-POW-BMS63EN and send data over ISOSPI lines back to the AEK-ISOSPI-SPI Translator and then to the master, which is AEK-MCU-C4MLIT1.  I validated the individual slaves first, and they were working. However, when I connected the ISOH line of my first slave with the ISOL line of the second slave, it created a short circuit, and the slave IC burnt. I want to know what the correct configuration is for connecting the ISOSPI lines for a daisy chain.  I have attached my configuration in the attached photo.  Thank you Regards, Vipul

Hi, We are designing a low power design using STM32U5A9NJH6Q. As it is low power we aim for lowest possible consumption. We are not using USB on the device; hence we would like to omit any consumption from the VDDUSB and would have connected it to VSS if there where not stated this in the DS: "• VDDUSB = 3.0 V to 3.6 VVDDUSB is the external independent power supply for USB transceivers. VDDUSBvoltage level is independent from the VDD voltage and must be connected to VDD orVSS pin (preferably to VDD) when the USB is not used."Now our VDD is 1.8V and although it states 3-3.6V then we do assume that this range is only needed if the USB interface shall be operational, as it has been the case with other STM32s.The tricky point is the "preferably to VDD".So the question is what is consumption if connected to our 1.8V and what is the impact if connecting to VSS?

Hello,I am working with a STM32WB09KE mcu on a custom pcb. I am trying to write a softwareloop that measures something every x min and afterwards goes into deepstop mode. I was following some online documentation, but it seems like the wb09-series is not represented alot. Currently I have configured the RTC to generate an alarm at every 5 minutes (at 12:05:00, 12:10:00, etc exact). This interrupt is confirmed to be working. Now I am writing a function to enter deepstop mode in the main loop based on some examples online. Currently I have this:void Enter_DeepStopMode(void) { __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_WU_FLAG_ALL); HAL_SuspendTick(); __HAL_RCC_LSI_ENABLE(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); HAL_ResumeTick(); SystemClock_Config(); } The problem is that the compiler (using STM32CubeIDE) does not find this function and argument 'HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);'I'm not sure if the wb09 can use this function. I have looked through the examples in the wb0

Hello,i use STM32WB05KZ for the bluetooth. With software can use to programme or to do some BLE test ?thanks

Hello, I couldn't find any examples with RFAL to use capacitive sensing and the usage of AAT. I'm using a single ended matched antenna. I tried using rfalAdjustRegulators(), it always gives a value of 3000. I also wanted capacitive sensing: the chip should wakeup and start polling only when a capacitance change is detected on the capacitive pads, otherwise it should be in low power mode (if possible). I've included the code I'm using. The function stateCB is being called frequently. I don't believe it's being triggered by capacitive sensing. rfalAnalogConfigInitialize(); PERFORM_WITH_LOG(err, rfalNfcInitialize()); PERFORM_WITH_LOG(err, st25r3911SetAntennaMode(true, false)); rfalWakeUpConfig wakeupConf = {.period = RFAL_WUM_PERIOD_100MS, .irqTout = false, .refWU = { .enabled = true, .refDelay = RFAL_WUM_PERIOD_100MS, }, .indAmp = {

STM32C031G4I am trying to adjust the RTC time in an EXTI interrupt routine (its a button press, it should e.g. add an hour). The RTC is setup using HAL, it succesfully inits with the preset values. After Initialization everything works, the RTC is counting and I can read the time, the initial HAL_RTC_SetTime works. When the button is pressed, the current time is read, modified and then set. However i cannot re-enter the initialization mode to change the RTC time registers with HAL_RTC_SetTime. RTC_EnterInitMode fails with HAL_TIMEOUT.  I verified that the RTCAPBEN is set. I did a full SFR register dump diff comparing the initial state and the state when its called from the EXTI interrupt. I could not  find a problematic difference. These are the functions that I call to change or read the time:HAL_StatusTypeDef SetTime(RTC_TimeTypeDef *sTime,uint32_t Format) { if (HAL_RTC_SetTime(lrtc, sTime, Format) == HAL_OK) return HAL_OK; return HAL_ERROR; } HAL_StatusTypeDef

Dears, I have issues with setting RTC shift register.I have setup RTC with AsynchPrediv = 127 & SynchPrediv = 255 and is working normally.I tried to periodically setting RTC->SHIFTR with value 100 each 5 secs. Then wait for the shift operation to complete and immediately I read SS back using register RTC->SSR register. But RTC->SSR provide "random values" in PREDIV_S range (0 - 255). I expect that it should be lower than 100 but close (not higher)Where could be problem ?Thanks in advanceRadimExample code:  int main(void) { unsigned this_ssr, tick, tr, dr; reset_backup_domain(); ... /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); ... // Turn on shadow registers to speed up RTC operations HAL_RTCEx_EnableBypassShadow(&hrtc); ... while(1) { __HAL_RTC_WRITEPROTECTION_DISABLE(&hrtc); HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); RTC->SHIFTR = 100; // test value // Wait for the shift operation

the objective of this particular project was to transmit data frames from stm32h750dbk(discovery kit) to stm32g491re(nucleo)it is debugging and creating live expression for both of the data types in receiving and transmit end of board i have not connected any transceiver between them because it has inbuilt fdcan ports i am attaching both the codes for g4 and h7 the picture of hardware and the live expression result when debugged separately

Hello, I am working on C + Assembly and encountering an issue.I am working on a simple program on an STM32F3 (Cortex-M4) that calls an assembly function (assembly_main) from main() in a loop. However, assembly_main()executes only once and does not return back to main() as expected. The only way to make it work continuously is by forcing an unconditional branch, which is not what I want.I suspect the issue is related to stack pointer (SP) corruption or an incorrect return address being stored while executing main(), which prevents assembly_main() from properly returning.QuestionsI assume the system starts execution from Reset_Handler, jumps to main(), and then calls assembly_main()? Is this the correct flow? However, something goes wrong when trying to return from assembly_main(). Why does bx lr fail to return back to main()?It seems that LR (Link Register) is not holding a valid return address. Is my stack pointer (SP) being overwritten?Any insights or debugging pointers would be gr

It is fine until validation on validation on desktop... but when it comes to validation on target, it is showing the above error...can anyone please address my issue... I am trying this since 3 months..

Hello, I have a CAN 2.0 network (classic can) running at 500 kb/s.  I have multiple STM32F4 nodes running the stm32 HAL CAN driver with no issues.  I have another node running a STM32G4 with a FDCAN driver set to classic mode.  When the G4 node is connected to the network it works most of the time, but when electrical noise is introduced the whole network slowly crashes as each node cannot send messages.  In particular the farthest node from the G4 and the G4 both stop sending messages at exactly the same moment, reporting a FIFO buffer full error.  In the course of 30 seconds of this electrical noise, however, every STM node on the CAN line stops sending messages pretty consistently.  The exact CAN driver error is not yet 100% known across all nodes, but was the BIT_STUFF error at the FDCAN at one point. With the G4 removed, but the location of the termination the same, the CAN bus does not experience any issues at the same electrical noise expo

I am unable to get the I2C line on my STM32H750VB to connect with my PCA9685 PWM driver on my custom PCB. The I2C line is constantly high, which I have seen on multiple oscilloscopes. I got the software online from a tutorial on the PWM driver and was able to run it successfully on a Nucleo-H743ZI2 board which has a STM32H743ZI MCU with a breakout of the PCA9685 so the code unrelated to board setup should work. I attached the entire code file in case though. Things I've tried: Changing the I2C pull-up resistors from 4.7k to 10kResetting the I2C bus with HAL_I2C_DeInit and HAL_I2C_Init Continuity between the MCU SCL and SDA and breakout is good Pull-up resistor values when measured between each line and 3V3 is the same Plugged in the working breakout to the custom board and took out the original PCA9685Multiple system configurations with internal clocks HSI, CSI, and PLLCLKMultiple I2C clock configurations with PCLK1 and HSIPulling NRST high (it is low on my board bu

Hi Team,  We are working with the LSM6DSOX sensor and integrating it with two different MCUs: nRF5340 and ATSAMD51, using the I2C communication protocol. We have been able to successfully read the device ID, accelerometer data, and gyroscope data. Additionally, we've implemented our own logic for step detection and step counting. Recently, we learned about the Machine Learning Core (MLC) feature, which provides useful capabilities like detecting activity states (idle, walk, run). We obtained the .ucf file for MLC, used the UNICO tool to generate the corresponding .h file, and attempted to integrate it into our application. We followed the documentation and tried monitoring the MLC_STATUS (0x70) register to track activity states. Challenges faced: First Attempt with nRF5340 MCU: Initially, we tested the MLC functionality with the nRF5340 MCU using I2C communication. However, when we read the MLC_STATUS register, we consistently received 0x00, no matter the movement or activity. D

how can i connect the module wifi esp8266 nodemcu v3 with stm32l476rg?

Device is STM32F765VI.I'm using DMA to fill data allocated from DTCM, for some reason this seems to be caching. My understanding is that DTCM doesn't need cache management, help me if wrong here.  If I don't enable the data cache everything works as expected here.Ultimately, I'm using the QSPI peripheral, DMA2 stream 2, target address is less than 0x20020000, I seem to be missing some core understanding here.

I think I may have found a bug with the STM32G4 RTC that I am not seeing in the errata.I am using the RTC on STM32G4 with a 32.768 KHz LSE oscillator. I am having a issue where I would read the RTC twice fairly close together in code. I observed that occasionally on the 2nd read of the RTC the SSR value would increase without a change to either the TR or DR. I tested with shadow bypass both enabled and disable and I observed the same behavior.I tried to profile the SSR values that I would get which triggered this condition and I noticed that the 2nd read was often 3 more than the 1st read (ex. 22492 and 22495) but sometimes the 2nd read was even more. It also seemed that multiple least significate bits of the 1st read were 0; I suspect that this could be explained by the fact the RTC is not on the same clock domain and I happen to be reading the SSR in the middle of a decrement before the bits are stable.I seem to be able to work around this by reading the RTC registers 2 tim

Hi everyone,I'm using the STM32F407 for CAN Communication with the Loopback Mode. I'm trying to send a cyclic frame using a timer.I'm using the timer2 with a clock of 84MHz (APB1), a prescaler of 8399 so i will have a tick every 1ms and a period of 1000 - 1 because i need a cyclicity of message sending every 100ms.I only get the data transmitted to the RxData by calling  CAN_Rx_Callback(&hcan1); in the main function. This way, i'm not sure if i'm sending data every 100ms or i'm sending data all in once. How can i update my code to resolve this problem.

Hello, I flashed my stm32h573 with a program to set it to standby mode, but didn't setup the wakeup pin and it has a 5 sec wdg timeout. The error I am having is that it "can't connect to the target" to flash it with different code or to erase the flash 🥲🫠I "think" it's not able to connect because it doesn't have enough time to connect due to the watchdog. As it does a system reset every 5 seconds.Any recommendation on how I can get it to connect or erase the flash?is there any way to save this board?!?I have tried: all gave me the same error of can't connect to target1. stm32cubeide debug2. Keil erase flash3. j-flash lite to erase chip I am going to try the stm32cubeprogrammer later today, after I download it. **** edit ****This is the error message I receive from stm32cubeprogrammer when I try to connect the dev board

Hello. I have a problem with my code. I's supposed to send to the computer "00 82 00 00 01 01", however it sends "00 82 00 00 00 00". It can happen that the last four bytes are garbled. I've tested by printing pretty much up to the HAL functions, yet all of the test come out good. I don't know what's wrong here. Please help. Here's the code, it's as minimal as I could've made it:main.c: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ************************************************************************

We recently developed a custom STM32WL5MOCH-based board.  The VREF+ output is not supplying anything right now.  The GPIOs seem to be floating and do not output anything.   We're using the Visual Studio Code environment and simply imported the CMake project created by CubeMX.    VDDA is measured at 3.3V.  VREF+ output is measured at 0.008V to 0.03V.  The GPIOs all read 0.5V to 0.6V, they do not Push / Pull and seem to be floating.    The LEDs are properly inserted and can activate as verified by external probing.   We have tried eliminating the RTOS / SubGHZ middleware to start from scratch, but the results are the same.   We have tried changing the system clock mux from HSE to the internal MSI RC, but the same results occur.   We tried changing the sys timebase source from TIM17 to SysTick, but nothing changes.   We figure there is something wrong with the software configuration, but aren't

I'm working with an STM32H753 MCU and trying to receive messages from a PC via UART to implement a simple state machine. The idea is that the MCU should switch to different states based on the received message.Initially, I attempted to use fgets(message, sizeof(message), stdin);, but the buffer named message seems to be empty after receiving, and I get nothing when printing it using printf("\r\nThe sentence is: %s", message);. Is this the correct way to do so?
