Hi,My board with a STM32F745VEH6 is working as a device, that need to be updated via USB C over time. How can I do that? Is there a way to update the firmware with command line?I tried to connect the micro over USB C with STM32CubeProgrammer, and got this error:Do I have to have a ST-LINK on the board? Or use FTDI cable?

I'm building an application for a BlueNRG-LPS (332), now rebranded as STM32WB05TZ (WLCSP-36 Package) by starting with a simply Blinky project testing the clock signals of my device. I need to enable the PLL64M clock source to use the radio peripherals, and the generated configuration fails. Maybe I'm missing to add or properly set up something here?Context:I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.16.0 with STM32Cube FW_WB0 V1.0.0 to generate some basic code.Initially, all the Radio Peripherals are OFF, I'm using a 32MHz external crystal for the HSE, and do not have an LSE installed on my PCB (planning to have one, but for now, using the LSI). In my particular case, I added external 12pF capacitors to my HSE crystal, and set the chip's internal tuning capacitors to 0. (Ignore the inductor symbol, this is only a 0ohm resistor) The PCB has the hardware to not work on SMPS mode (no Inductor), tried 2.4V and 3.3V as the VDD source with similar results. My clock tree initially looked like foll

Hi, I am sampling high rate data using STM32L476 in Nucleo64 board in dual channel interleave mode. I am measuring very low voltage values so is it possible to use MCUs internal opamps together with interleave mode. It looks like I am not able to activate interleave mode when I activate opamp and I couldnt find information on whether or not they can be used together. What I would like to do is basically amplifying my signal before entering to ADC without any external component. I appreciate any advice.

Hello everyone,I need to implement the burst controller in HRTIM in order to load 3 compares of the master timer at once.I am using low layer so I do not have a lot of info.My .ioc setting are:Then, in the DMA CH1 interruption I have something like that.  cmp_values[0] = cmp_value_C; // intended for the second burst register cmp_values[1] = cmp_value_A; // intended for the first burst register cmp_values[2] = cmp_value_D; // intended for the third burst register LL_DMA_DisableChannel(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_4); LL_DMA_ConfigAddresses( DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_4, (uint32_t)cmp_values,(uint32_t)&HRTIM1->sCommonRegs.BDMADR , LL_DMA_DIRECTION_MEMORY_TO_MEMORY); LL_DMA_SetDataLength(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_4, 3); LL_DMA_EnableChannel(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_4); The problem I am encountering is that the 3 compare registers are updated only with the first element of the buffer. I have memory incremental desactivated. If I activate incremental in memory, it does note even load

I am using Nucleo-H7S3l8 board which has STM32H7S3L8H6 MCU and Macronix NOR Flash MX25UW25645GXDI00. Using XSPI Interface, I am trying simple read device id command RDID. After I send the command, observed busy(BUSY of XSPI_SR) bit going high and FIFO level(FLEVEL of XSPI_SR) bit field with some value and both the both fields got cleared immediately and when I try to read from data register, got no data. Can someone suggest what might have gone wrong or suggest a way so that I can get Device Id?

Hello,I'm working on a project started from Zigbee_APS_coord and Zigbee_APS_router examples on NUCLEO-WB55.USBDongle with STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.21.0.The project is based on data exchange between the coordinator and several devices acting as routers (from 2 to 10) at the APS layer. The commonunication works fine in unicast mode, but I got error ZB_APS_STATUS_ILLEGAL_REQUEST = 0xa3 from ZbApsdeDataReqCallback if I try to send a broadcast message with the following code: struct ZbApsdeDataReqT zb_aps_req_current; struct ZbApsAddrT dst; dst.endpoint = clusterId; dst.mode = ZB_APSDE_ADDRMODE_SHORT; dst.nwkAddr = 0xffff; /* Broadcast */ memset(&zb_aps_req_current, 0, sizeof(zb_aps_req_current)); zb_aps_req_current.dst = dst; zb_aps_req_current.profileId = profileId; zb_aps_req_current.clusterId = clusterId; zb_aps_req_current.srcEndpt = srcEndpt; zb_aps_req_current.asdu = payload; zb_aps_req_current.asduLength = payloadLength; zb_aps_req_current.asduHandle = zigbee_app_inf

Hello!I am using the onboard STLINK on the NUCLEO-U031R8 to program a STM32U0 on a custom PCB. I use the SWD interface connected over jumper wires and programming works fine. I would like to enable printf for debug purposes, and since SWV is not available for this series, I am trying to connect USART2 from my PCB to the STLINK using fly wires. However, I can't seem to find where the TX and RX pins are exposed on the STLINK. The jumpers and CN3 mentioned in section 6.8 of UM1724 also don't match up. On further inspection, it seems that some Nucleo boards have the TX and RX pins exposed as a header, but my particular one does not. Is there a way for me to use VCP this way with this Nucleo board? Thank you in advance!

Can someone help me with a clock configuration for STM32H7 with 8mhz crystal (I can change it if need) so I can get 0% drift for 44100Hz Audio?

I am using the STM32L4 B-L475E-IOT01A board with the following modules:Wi-Fi module Inventek system ISM43362-M3G-L44Bluetooth module SPBTLE-RFDocumentation: https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2153-discovery-kit-for-iot-node-multichannel-communication-with-stm32l4-stmicroelectronics.pdf The problem is that currently both are using SPI3 and both need different bits and prescalers to work properly. Therefore, I am trying to use USART3 instead of SPI3 for the WiFi module (since the BLE module has only one possible interface, SPI3).My question: How to use the WiFi module via USART, so that I can use SPI for the BLE module? Or are there any other ways to use both modules simultaneously?

I'm working on a STM32H755ZIQ.  I am setting up a SPI master, with CPol= 0, CPha = 1, accordingly I need the clock to be low when inactive.  Additionally I want the clock to be low when idling, even when the SPI is not active. To achieve this, I have modified the GPIO settings to use a pulldown resistor on the clock pin.I set this up using the CubeMX utility, but I don't necessarily trust it, so I have checked the generated code, and I find, in main.c, within the function MX_SPI1_Init(void), the polarity is set low:and also, in stm32h7xx_hal_msp.c, within the function HAL_SPI_MspInit(SPI_HandleTypeDef* hspi), the GPIO is set to use the pulldown resistor:And yet, the clock is idling high. You can see in the logic trace below, that the clock is NOT normally pulled down, but only goes low when the SPI is activated.  I assert the CS pin before carrying out an SPI write operation. The clock is still high when the slave detects the CS change, and the slave fails

Dear ST community,I'm trying to setup a ML inference project on the STM32N6 Nucleo in order to do latency and accuracy evaluation of models as well as power measurements. Hi,I am developing an application with the LIS2DW12 accelerometer where it is reconfigured depending on which state the application is in. In one state, the accelerometer should detect when it is stationary/in motion and trigger pulsed interrupts on INT2. In another state, the accelerometer should wake up the system upon movement by triggering a latched interrupt on INT1. The only way I have managed to get this functionality is by, when the accelerometer is being reconfigured for wakeup, setting INT2_ON_INT1 in CTRL7. Without this setting, INT1 does not react to movement at all. I figure there must be a way to get INT1 to fire without having to route INT2 to it, so what am I missing?I have tried following the wakeup example without success. These are all the register contents after reconfiguring for wakeup, with INT2_ON_INT1 set:LIS2DW12_OUT_T_L = 0x70 LIS2DW12_OUT_T_H = 0xfb LIS2DW12_WHO_AM_I = 0x44 LIS2DW12_CTRL1 = 0x60 LIS2DW12_CTRL2 = 0x0c LIS2DW12_CTRL3 = 0x10 LIS2DW

Hi everyone,We have developed a custom board based on stm32mp157 mpu. We have used openstlinux distribution and the branch is "kirkstone". We have interfaced edt_ft5x06 display. Display is working perfectly fine but problem arises when we try to interact with the touch. It is completely unresponsive. With "evtest" in Linux kernel I do not see any touch event. Devicetree entry for my touch-screen is following:   touchscreen@38 { compatible ="edt,edt-ft5406"; reg = <0x38>; interrupts = <2 2>; interrupt-parent = <&gpiof>; interrupt-controller; touchscreen-size-x = <480>; touchscreen-size-y = <800>; vcc-supply = <&v3v3>; iovcc-supply = <&v3v3>; status = "okay"; };  If I look thorough the dmesg, then I get following entry:  [ 2.081938] input: EP0700M12 as /devices/platform/soc/40012000.i2c/i2c-0/0-0038/input/input0 Also I have following entry for the interrupt:   cat /proc/interrupt

Hello ST Experts,We are implementing a hot-swappable (plug-and-play) I²C system with STM32G0 slaves, but we are facing an issue where the I²C bus gets stuck due to SCL being held LOW. We need guidance on how to resolve this.System Overview:Master: ESP32-S3Slaves: STM32G0 Controllers (Multiple Slaves)I²C Bus Setup:Pull-up resistors: 4.7kΩ near the master (also tested with 2.2kΩ)Slaves are added dynamically using a hot-swapping (plug-and-play) approachDefault slave address: 0x01 (each slave is reassigned a unique address by the master)Issue Faced:Initially, we connect Slave 1 (0x01) and later reassign its address to 0x60.We then add Slave 2 (0x01) and update its address to 0x61 for independent control.Problem: When adding the second or subsequent slaves, the SCL line gets pulled LOW continuously, causing the I²C bus to get stuck. This suggests that one of the slaves is clock-stretching indefinitely, preventing further communication.A manual reset of the stuck slave restores communication,

Hello everyoneI am creating an application on a PC that uses an ACR1552 reader and that must read and write to a ST25 device. At the moment the data reading works and I am using the SDK of the reader manufacturer using the adpu commands.I understand that in order to write to a previously protected area, I must enter the key (password) in order to then perform the writing operations.I believe it is necessary to use an adpu mode called 'transparent' to be able to directly access the ST25 to write the password.Although I have searched for some examples in the VBNET environment, I have not found anything. Is there anything on this that can help me?Thanks, Daniele

I am working on a project that I aim to control a boost converter using a stm32 f407 disc kit. I want to control pwm duty cycle with two different integers which are x and y. I want my duty cycle equal to (1-(x/y)) how can I do it

I've seen other posts to resolve the compiler warning of "elf has a LOAD segment with RWX permissions", but I'm receiving this warning only when calling functions in RAM using the .RamFunc segment attribute. From the map file I've verified the function is being loaded into RAM.  I could disable the warning, but would like to understand the underlying issue. I'm working with the latest STMCubeIDE version 1.16.0, but also saw this in 1.15.0.  I'm building code for the STM3H735 and STM32H745 families.

Hello STM Community ,I am designing an internal PCB antenna for LoRa communication using the STM32WL55JCI7 at EU868 frequency. Is a PCB antenna recommended by STM for this chip? If so, what guidelines or procedures should I follow for designing a PCB antenna for LoRa communication? Additionally, what range can I expect with an optimized PCB antenna design?Looking forward to your insights. Thanks!

Hello everyone,I am currently working on an STM32H745ZI-Q dual-core project and want to generate the code using CubeMX, compile and flash it with PlatformIO, and use CLion as my development environment. My primary goal is to understand the best approach for setting up a dual-core project with these tools, particularly how boot configuration, toolchain selection, and PlatformIO integration should be handled. Below are my key questions and observations.1. Best Approach for STM32H745 Dual-Core Setup in CLion & PlatformIOI want to use CubeMX for code generation and then compile, flash, and debug using PlatformIO within CLion. Is CubeMX + PlatformIO + CLion a viable workflow for dual-core projects?Does PlatformIO properly support compiling, flashing, and debugging dual-core STM32 projects? Are there any known limitations when handling two cores in PlatformIO?2. Toolchain Selection in CubeMX for PlatformIO CompatibilityCubeMX requires selecting a Toolchain/IDE when generating code.Rig

Hello there,I am practicing with the STM32H573I-DK demo board, STiROT demo project and the chain of certificate feature.I have built a chain of certificates as described in https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/Security:How_to_start_with_STiRoT_on_STM32H573.It seems that I cannot execute a regression a regression or other action by supplying the INTERMEDIATE key and certificate. For Instance, Full regression works with ROOT or LEAF credentials, but not the INTERMEDIATE.Am I doing something wrong ? or is it that intermediate certificates are only meant to generate leaf certificates, and cannot be used to re-open a device. Thanks for your feedback.Christian

whether can the touchGFX support to run PDF file or need changing to picture format ?

I can't login into ST to download packages via CubeMX/CubeIDE. The wheel turns forever, no matter what proxy settings I choose. The pack downloader works - I just can't log into ST which is a pitty.Which url does my corporate IT whitelist?See similar issue here: Solved: Unable to login to ST account in STM32CubeIDE - STMicroelectronics CommunityThanks,Jan

I am facing an issue while installing the cube ide in  my rhel 9.2 version, the exact problem was when i try to run the executable file and going through the instructions ,after agreeing the licenses and the folder which contains .rpm files is deleting automatically and causing an error like no matches found for .rpm something like that.

I am new to using stm32 MCUs and I was following a youtube tutorial on how to set up a debugger for dual core MCUs. Before changing some settings I was able to start the debugger without any errors. Now when I try to run the debugger I get this error window popup:'Launching file_CM4 Debug' has encountered a problem. Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB server When I click on details I get:Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB serverFailed to start GDB serverError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: (4) No device found on target. I also noticed that when I plug the controller in the USB port and open NOD_H755ZIQ in This PC, it has 4 files (it had 3 files before). New file is called FAIL.TXT and it says: The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU This is the youtube tutorial that I followed : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jI1k6p-fduE Can anyone help me with this?Is it possible to fix this problem or do I n
