Can you share the routine for configuring USART2 interrupt transmission and reception on stm32N657? It took a long time to configure, but it can only send, but the receive interrupt cannot be triggered!

Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am currently working on a design that incorporates the SPC582B60E1MH00Y microcontroller, and I need the detailed pinout description or any supporting documentation that outlines the I/O functions. I have reviewed the datasheet available on your website, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could share any additional resources, such as application notes, user manuals, or development board schematics, that provide more comprehensive pin mapping information. Thank you very much for your assistance and support. I look forward to your guidance.

Hallo, how do I know what marking TS4061AICT-1.25 has? There is no hint in datasheet. Can you help? Thanks

I am using the STM32N6570-DK board and when I generated the project, all lines about RIF demonstrate some errors, it seems that the hal_driver doesn't add the C file about the RIF. I am wondering how I can fix it.11:50:50 **** 项目TEST-N6-2_AppliSecure配置Debug的增量构建 ****make -j16 all arm-none-eabi-gcc "../Core/Src/main.c" -mcpu=cortex-m55 -std=gnu11 -g3 -DDEBUG -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32N657xx -c -I../Core/Inc -I../../Secure_nsclib -I../../Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32N6xx/Include -I../../Drivers/STM32N6xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy -I../../Drivers/CMSIS/Include -O0 -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -Wall -fstack-usage -fcyclomatic-complexity -mcmse -MMD -MP -MF"Core/Src/main.d" -MT"Core/Src/main.o" --specs=nano.specs -mfpu=fpv5-d16 -mfloat-abi=hard -mthumb -o "Core/Src/main.o"../Core/Src/main.c: In function 'SystemIsolation_Config':../Core/Src/main.c:166:3: error: unknown type name 'RIMC_MasterConfig_t'166 | RIMC_MasterConfig_t RIMC_master = {0};| ^~~~~

Hello,I am working on a point-to-point communication project using the P-Nucleo LRWAN2 board package. In this setup:The NUCLEO-L073RZ acts as the transmitter. The NUCLEO-F746ZGT6 acts as the receiver.I have downloaded the LoRaWAN package for STM32Cube provided by ST, but I am facing difficulties using the library in STM32CubeIDE.Here’s what I’ve done so far:I created a new project in STM32CubeIDE.I started copying the .c and .h files from the LoRaWAN package into my project.I included the necessary header files, but I am still getting "undefined reference" errors during the build process.Could someone guide me on the correct way to integrate the LoRaWAN library with STM32CubeIDE? I’m not sure if I’m missing any specific configurations or additional steps to properly set up the project for point-to-point communication. Thanks for your help!Inc and Src Folder Console main.c file https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/p-nucleo-lrwan2.html https://www.st.com/en/embedded-s

Hi I am new to STM32CubeIDE. I am setting up a blue pill board. I don't seem to have any issues with pin configurations however when I try to generate code I only get a refreshed .ioc file with only .project and .ioc in my project folder. Is there something really simple I am missing in my Configuration set up?

Hello Developers,I am currently facing an issue with joining the LoRaWAN network using the LoRaWAN AT Slave example provided by STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0 on a new Nucleo STM32WL55JC1 board. Despite following the provided instructions and configuring the example for the EU868 region, I am unable to successfully join the network. Here are the steps I have taken and the observations I have made:Flashed the LoRaWAN AT Slave example to the STM32WL55JC1 Nucleo board without any apparent problems.Configured the board for the EU868 region.Entered the necessary AT commands for configuring Device EUI, Application EUI, Application Key, ADR, and Data Rate.Initiated the join procedure with AT+JOIN=1 to use Over-The-Air Activation (OTAA) mode. However, despite multiple attempts, the join procedure fails consistently, and I receive a "JOIN FAILED" response from the LoRaWAN module.I have tried adjusting parameters such as Data Rate (AT+DR) and Transmit Power (AT+TXP), but the issue persists. Here is a snipp

Hi,  We are working on MMC with USB on the STM32H745I-Disco board but are unable to format the disk.  using STM32CubeIDE version is  1.16.1 System Clock Configuration HSE Clock Source CM7 Core: 400 MHz CM4 Core: 200 MHz USB Frequency RC48 Clock: 48 MHz SDMMC CLK   RCC SDMMC         USB_OTG_FS configuration in middle firmware All these configurations were applied in the CM7 core. I hope to use the same Build Analyzer in VSCode as in the IDE, which allows developers to more clearly see the use of flash and memory. I have tried to use GPT to write a plugin, but the effect is not good, and I don't understand the JS language well, so it is difficult to develop it by myself. My mother tongue is not English, please forgive me if it is not easy to understand.

I am guessing there is nothing that can be done about this, but I thought I'd post about it. I got the VL53L8CH because it has better bin resolution than the VL53L3CX, which I hoped to use to distinguish between objects at different ranges that are closer to one another. It is somewhat better at that, but not as much as I had hoped. The reason for this is the signal spread. The emitter's signal arrives as a peak that spreads over about 10 bins. At 3.75 cm per bin, that means a signal spreads over 37.5 cm. It's not actually as bad as that, since the signal follows a normal distribution, but it does mean that signals for objects close to one another will overlap and distinguishing objects separated by only one to three bin widths is quite difficult.Don't get me wrong, this chip is amazing, and the people at STMicroelectronics have done wonders in giving us 3.75 cm bin resolution when the signal is traveling at the speed of light. It just may be important for the applications of some peop

Hello,I'm looking for a board that provides all program/debug signal on a header while allowing to disconnect on-board MCU.I've looked at a few NUCLEO boards - only JTCK, JTMS, NRST, SWO are exposed to a header (with possibility to disconnect on-board MCU using jumpers and solder bridges), but not MCO, STLK_TX and STLK_RX.Does exist a board that exposes whole this stuff ?Thanks.Pavel.

hi i am using build alayzer but nothing shows as when i loaded map file and selected show memory analysis.what are the steps to be done ?please see the pictures i have done.loaded .map file clicked open memory analysis.nothing happens

Hello everyone,I have a STM32F103C8T6 Blue Pill board and NRF24L01+ RF module with 5V to 3.3V NRF24 adapter. I wore a code for reading and writing NRF24 register via SPI serial communication. In order to read any register value from NRF24 we send a command signal first. when the command signal shifted out from MOSI pin, NRF24 shifts out the STATUS register value on MISO pin simultaneously. After that it shifts out the register value that specified in command register.   NRF24_Write_8Bit_Register function reads any 8 BIT register value and does some bitwise operation after that it sends the register value back to NRF24. I want to read CONFIG register in NRF24 and add 0x02 to that register. When i run this function NRF24 shifts out the STATUS register value and CONFIG register value. The values i get is 0x0E and 0x00. But its suppose to be 0x0E and 0x08. But if i run  NRF24_Read_8Bit_Register before the write function i can get 0x0E and 0x08.Why i cannot receive correct v

Hi,I have a well functioning application transmitting on uart4 using GPDMA1 CH1.If I turn on DCache, then it does transmit the correct length, only all characters are 0x00 (no problem in turning ICache on).In HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(huart, (const uint8_t*)pTx, len), if I make this substitution: HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(huart, (const uint8_t*)"Hi "/*pTx*/, 3/*len*/), then it works.I have tried allocating the variable pointed to by pTx to just about any available memory area / type without success.Any suggestions?

Dear Friends, I’m developing firmware for the STM32WB05KZV6TR with these sensors: LIS2MDLTR (magnetometer), LSM6DSO32XTR (accelerometer/gyroscope), and HSFPAR004A (force sensor).  My PCB is already printed, and components are installed, so I can’t add a host MCU.  I need to implement BLE export (to a mobile device), Flash writing, and sensor data export using only the STM32WB05KZV6TR. Details:MCU: STM32WB05KZV6TR (192 KB Flash, 24 KB RAM).Features: BLE GATT server, sensor data handling, Flash storage.Approach: Bare metal programming (FreeRTOS/Zephyr may be too heavy).Questions:Can I fit this functionality within 24 KB of RAM and 192 KB of Flash? Any optimisation tips? Are there examples or libraries for these sensors with the STM32WB series? How should I structure the firmware to balance sensor reads and BLE notifications? Is STM32CubeMX the best tool for configuring peripherals and BLE?I’d appreciate any advice, code snippets, or example projects!

I am currently working with the STM32WB55RG microcontroller on the NUCLEO-WB55RG development board and am encountering an issue while attempting to install or update the BLE wireless stack using STM32CubeProgrammer.Upon attempting to start the wireless stack or upgrade FUS, I receive the following error: Error: FUS_STATE_IMG_NOT_FOUND: Firmware/FUS upgrade requested but no image found.(such as image header corrupted or flash memory corrupted)Error: Start Wireless Stack Operation Failure! Please, try again   I would appreciate guidance on:Confirming if anti-rollback is active on this deviceWhether a forced FUS or stack reinstallation is possibleAny tools or procedures to resolve this statePlease let me know if any additional logs or files are needed for diagnosis.

Hello, I'm encountering the same issue, and i started debugging the embedded bootloader protocol manually. Or i'm starting getting crazy, but what specified in AN3155 is not respecting what i'm having on the serial port.I'm using NUCLEO-WB09KE(MB2032B) mounted on MB1801D.When moving JP1[MB2032B] to BOOT mode, SWD is not available.I'm only be able to get on bootloader mode (not with CubeProg) but as below.Problem 1 - GetVersionComand (documentation mismatch)I sucessfully entered in BL (Ack = 0x79), however GetVersion command is totally ignored. I then tested with another command to see if the communication with embedded BL works.Something worked but not as expected. Command 0x02+0xFD should reply with ACK(0x79) + N=NumberOfByte + PID. I did not see 0x79 as ACK nor the number of bytes i should get: i just got 0xD0 and 0x94.I can't find what is the DEV_ID of STM32WB09KEx, so i can't verify if what'i'm having is really the DEV_ID or something else. Anyway the ACK is sti

I chose the Nx_SNTP_Client example through MX and created a STM32CubeIDE project. The board I'm using is STM32H747I-DISCO.When I run it on the board, I only get the message "The network cable is connected." and I can't get a DHCP IP. When I try to debug, Tx doesn't run even once. Please help.

I connect the PB9-BOOT0 to VDD, then power up the board, but it just run from flash(application program), not the bootloader, what's the matter? I am not firmilar with ISP, I suppose it should enter bootloader, and wait for ISP program to communicate.I want to confirm, besides connect PB9-BOOT0 to VDD, is there any other thing need be done?

I'm using the board STM32H747I-DISCO with the FP-AI-VISION1_V3.1.0 SDK, and made some experiments with some example projects and all of them are working on my board. But with the FoodReco_MobileNetDerivative project that can use external RAM and Flash I'm not able to make it work. The problem I think is related with the definitions of the #defines: "WEIGHT_QSPI", "WEIGHT_EXEC_EXTRAM", "WEIGHT_QSPI_PROGED".On the instruction manual (UM2611), it is mention to set those flags, but is not mentioned in what file they should be set. (In image attach)I've tried to set it under the file "fp_vision_app.h" and follow all the instructions in manual but with no success. Could any one help me with this?Thank you

Hello everyone, I have a lot (too much) question regarding code optimisation, the safety of a code and some return value of the HAL.Firstly, I am currently using HAL and CMSIS RTOS v2.  I am using a spi bus protected with a mutexe. Assuming that I am correctly using the mutexe, is it possible for HAL_Transmit_IT or HAL_Receive_IT to actually return HAL_Busy?What I want to know is:1) Am I making too much verification? Afterall a if/else bloc is require some ressources from the core, even if it's very little.2) I read on various post that using assert was a good practice in embbeded system but I'm still strugling to know when to use it and when not. I also read that it was recommanded to always check a return value of a function when it has one. Am I using correctly the assert() function? Is there too much usage of it? Not enough? Where is it really required and when is it not? Here is a sample of a basic function for a driver I am currently working on. I'm following the same co

Hi,I am injecting a UART DMA error by using DTCM memory and DMA2. For example:// Induce a DMA error by using DTCM RAM for DMA2 which is inaccessibleif ( HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA( huart, transmit_buffer_dtcm_memory, num_bytes_to_transmit ) != HAL_OK ){// Log error}What happens is the frame error, parity error, and noise error interrupts are disabled after the DMA error on transmit. This I can see by the EIE bit in CR3.  HAL function UART_EndRxTransfer is called and clears EIE.I have a streams connected to the TX and RX lines:TX is connected to DMA2 Stream 5 - High priortyRX is connected to DMA2 Stream 4 - High priority When I try to restart the UART receiving:if ( HAL_UART_Receive_DMA( uart_handle, receive_buffer, RX_BUF_SIZE ) != HAL_OK ){// Log error}There is a check in sub function HAL_DMA_Start_IT that returns an error because the DMA stream is busy. So what is the correct way to recover/restart after a DMA and set the interrupt flags for frame, noise, and parity?\Thanks

Hello everyone,I'm trying to use IN1, IN2, and IN4 from the ADC1 of the NucleoF303K8. I transmit the ADC values via UART2 to my laptop. Now to my problem: When all three ADC channels are at 1.6V, I receive the correct values. However, if I pull one of the channels to 0V (GND), the values of all ADC channels decrease. I want to measure the exact value of all three ADC1 channels independently. I have tried different codes, but none of them work. Does anyone know what the problem might be or how I need to change my code to fix this issue? My code is attached.I am grateful for any help.

Following the instructions here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php/How_to_create_your_own_machineAnd then making a trivial devicetree modification (enabling I2C5 output) fails to build on a fresh yocto install (via the "distribution package").  I'm beginning to port code from a DK2 to a custom board, and creating a transitional package. The build slams right into the `flavorlist` mess in the optee make confs (specifically workspace/sources/optee-os-stm32mp/core/arch/arm/plat-stm32mp1/conf.mk) , ignoring the `CUBEMX_BOARD_DDR_SIZE = "512"` variables or anything else..Very frustrating to see all these hardcoded filenames when yocto is very aware of the actual device tree in use at buildtime... looks like maybe the intended `CFG_EXT_DTS` escape hatch is broken?Lots of previous posts have hit this problem, but on custom hardware, and with more significant DT changes.  I didn't touch the RAM or anything else other than have a default DK2 template MX project and then enable/"ok

Hi ST community members! For a long time ago with another nick (but lost the account access), I have wanted to add U-Boot support for this board. Now I have done this but not released a patch series yet (only on my local Git repo) in the U-Boot mailing list. Also must do some tests on real hardware. Short question:Does somebody need support for this board or is it useless? I know the board has less RAM, but some ST maintainers on the U-Boot list where interested in the past. But unfortunately I haven't finally done this, because of an illness. Also when it's useless for other users, it was a fun project for me. :)
