I have NUCLEO-F756ZG board with STM32F765ZG and I have hooked up ICS43434 mic into I2S1 bus. Now I have been scratching my head for a day to figure out how to get data out from that puppy. Or actually getting data out is simple, but to make it sane is not. I have configured I2S and DMA like belowThen I allocate some buffers and write DMA callbacks and send the data to freeRTOS task for processing. Now if I play 1kHz sound and dump the raw data from DMA buffers I get something like this113,58880,0,0,116,43008,0,0,123,4608,0,0,134,42496,0,0If I draw the 113, 166 so every 4th sample to graph it is the sine wave what I am playing. My friend the AI said that the data format is left_high, left_low, right_high, righ_low. That might very well be, but I don't want that. If the mic sends 24 bit of data in 32 bit frames it feels insane that I have to spend 2*32bits of memory for it.I just can't figure out what am I missing. It does not help HAL_I2S_Receive_DMA is one big red herring, but I b

I am using the startup file in Keil. However, when I run the simulation in the debugger, my system clock (SYSCLK) is not 72 MHz, even though I have confirmed that HSE_VALUE is set to 8 MHz.Can someone help me figure out why the SYSCLK is incorrect during simulation? I am using stm32f103c8t6 bluepill

 Does the STM32U5G9ZJT6Q SoC not support SDMMC2?

I want to set up 100MHz for SDRAM.STM32CubeIDE version 1.18.1 has the following options for SDRAM clock:The selected board is the STM32H743IITx. RM0433 Rev 8 states that:I'm not sure HCLK and fmc_ker_ck are the same thing. If I have my FMC clock set up as:And select HCLK/2, I'll have 100MHz for the SDRAM? Or is HCKL system clock?

I am working on STM32WLE5CCU6 mcu and try to erase the flash. Hello,I have the very excellent book "STM32 Arm Programming for Embedded Systems" by Mazidi, Chen, Ghaemi.  It is from 2017.  The book uses Keil, which I am very happy to use, and it has very nicely written code which I fully understand (so nicely written!).I am having trouble getting a project going in Keil because in the book when you make selections in 'Manage Run-Time Environment' during the project set up is says to tick 'System Startup for STMicroelectronics STM32F4 Series', but in my version of Kiel, it says something like 'use Cube IDE/MX' and no option to use 'System Startup for STMicroelectronics STM32F4 Series'.Could someone help with this? I do NOT want to use Cube IDE etc. all that software its horrible.Thank you in advance!

I am using the following setup:- STMCubeIDE1.6.1 on Windows 11I see the following behavior- Opening the IDE with the default Toolchain and my Project for 1.6.1 works fine and build. However, I need to use the GNU Tools for STM32 (7-2018-q2-update)- I install it with the Toolchain manager which works. Then I have to restart the IDE for the Toolchain to become active.- After the restart the IDE is missing the usual C Project settings like Build C/C++ and the Toolchain manager. (see Image). Furthermore I get the 'Missing builder indication under the 'Builder' settting.- Strange enough using this Toolchain works with newer IDE versions like v1.10.1 for other projects but I need to use v1.6.0 or v.1.6.1- Only reinstalling the IDE can fix the issue.

I followed the GPDMA tutorial here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKOhRfb3gvkand configured everything as shown.  The workshop was on a U575 but I would assume it's the same configuration for the U5A5?  I'm using the Nucleo-U5A5ZJ-Q.  I'm unable to get data passed via DMA into my data array.  I can see the ADC1->DR register getting continuously updated, but my data array remains zero length.I've attached a zipped project.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,I need to integrate the driver for the iis2mdc magnetometer (Github: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-iis2mdc/tree/main) into my own project for a custom board (with STM32H7A3 and i2c3).  The code from the driver requires an additional hardware driver so that the magnetometer can be read/written to. However this interface functions are not included in the driver on Github. int32_t __weak iis2mdc_read_reg( ...) and int32_t __weak iis2mdc_write_reg(stmdev_ctx_t *ctx, uint8_t reg,uint8_t *data,uint16_t len){int32_t ret;ret = ctx->write_reg(ctx->handle, reg, data, len);return ret;} Is there any sample code available, which can be simply adjusted for the specific i2c interface? or do I simply have to replace the call:ret = ctx->write_reg(ctx->handle, reg, data, len);    by  the corresponding    HAL_i2c... calls? Many thanks for any hints.BR GS

Hello! When I build my project, I get these errors. I should note that the header files are in the driver folder, and I have added all the necessary include paths."C:/Users/helat/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.18.1/PFA-SecureM/Core/Src/main.c:90:(.text.main+0xc): undefined reference to `MX_GPIO_Init'C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.18.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.13.3.rel1.win32_1.0.0.202411081344/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/13.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: C:/Users/helat/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.18.1/PFA-SecureM/Core/Src/main.c:91:(.text.main+0x10): undefined reference to `MX_ICACHE_Init'collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit statusmake: *** [makefile:70: PFA-SecureM.elf] Error 1"make -j20 all" terminated with exit code 2. For this project I used a TDA7265 in beige configuration directly following the circuit diagram from the datasheet. In testing, no sound is coming from the speaker, only a hum. I’m using a 12V 1 A dual rail supply with an 8 ohms speaker. I have demonstration for this project on Thursday. I’m not sure if it’s stuck in standby mode/mute mode so I’m seeking some clarity on this whole thing. I have picture of the circuit I used for my PCB however there’s a mistake that I caught in testing regarding the output. I fixed that but I can’t see why the speaker doesn’t automatically sound.

STM32CLT has written an environment variable %STM32CLT_PATH% when it was installed, and the "armToolchainPath" is specified also in launch.json. Why not use it when creating a project, and try to search for the tool chain in PATH? Instead, you people write the entire toolchain into system-wide PATH, that will stop other MCU's toolchain from working!  To Fix: change cmake/gcc-arm-none-eabi.cmake:11 and following to: cmake_path(SET TOOCHAIN_PATH $ENV{STM32CLT_PATH} ) set(TOOLCHAIN_PREFIX ${TOOCHAIN_PATH}/GNU-tools-for-STM32/bin/arm-none-eabi-) set(CMAKE_C_COMPILER ${TOOLCHAIN_PREFIX}gcc${CMAKE_HOST_EXECUTABLE_SUFFIX}) set(CMAKE_ASM_COMPILER ${CMAKE_C_COMPILER}) set(CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER ${TOOLCHAIN_PREFIX}g++${CMAKE_HOST_EXECUTABLE_SUFFIX}) set(CMAKE_LINKER ${TOOLCHAIN_PREFIX}g++${CMAKE_HOST_EXECUTABLE_SUFFIX}) set(CMAKE_OBJCOPY ${TOOLCHAIN_PREFIX}objcopy${CMAKE_HOST_EXECUTABLE_SUFFIX}) set(CMAKE_SIZE ${TOOLCHAIN_PREFIX}size${CMAKE_HOST_EXECUTABLE_SUFFIX})that's quite bit e

Hello! I'm working with FreeRTOS for the first time and am getting a HardFault during the call HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM4_IRQn); call inside of HAL_InitTick(); from HAL_Init();I am currently testing with a Nucleo board with MCU STM32F401RET6U and have configured the project as such - the startup file is startup_stm32f401retx.s.I've tried both TIM4 and TIM5 for the Timebase Source and have had the same results. Nowhere else in the code is TIM4 used or initialized I'm confused why it is hanging on the HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ call.Does anyone know what the issue could be or how I can further debug the issue? int main(void) { //Segger SystemView initialization //Enable the CYCCNT counter DWT_CTRL |= ( 1 << 0); SEGGER_SYSVIEW_Conf(); SEGGER_SYSVIEW_Start(); // Also tried above SEGGER Init and result hangs and disconnects instead of Hard Fault HAL_Init(); CppMain(); }

 I want to use Macro "__LL_ADC_CALC_TEMPERATURE" to calculate the chip's temperature. But there is a difference here. As mentioned above, in datasheet, TS_CAL2 corresponds to 130 ℃.But in STM32Cube FW_G4 V1.6.1, file "stm32g4xx_ll_adc.h", line 386, TEMPSENSOR_CAL2_TEMP corresponds to 110 ℃. Which one is ture?

Hi @stm32 I have a STM32G070 chip connected to a NOR_FLASH MX25L6433F using Standard SPI. I created an External Loader for the setup, but unable to read/write using the stm32 programmer. The custom driver for the particular flash is proved to work with the same hardware setup, so i can confirm that the bridging between the working driver and the STM2Programmer is somewhat missing. I created an External loader from scratch following the STM32 MOOC course link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xASKxhqphkk&list=PLnMKNibPkDnHIrq5BICcFhLsmJFI_ytvE&index=4) for QSPI.Steps I followed:1) Created a CubeMx project for stm32g070 with SPI enabled in my case.2) Manually copied the loader files from the link https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-external-loader/tree/contrib/Loader_Files and also integrated my custom driver for the particular NOR_FLASH. The driver is tested and verified separately,So it works.3) In the build configurations, pasted the command cmd

Hello ST community,I am trying to find the part number of the chip in the attached picture with the code gk16w 85003f3p6 chn30ere7 (or similar), which unfortunately broke during a thunderstorm near our house. It's from a Nespresso XN110 coffee machine.Does anyone have any idea, what part number this chip has or what type of component it is?

  Hi everyone,I'm having trouble with my ST-Link V2 programmer and STM32Cube tools. When I try to update the firmware via STM32CubeProgrammer (or STM32CubeUtility), I get the following error:"STLink is not in DFU mode. Please restart it."Additionally, when I try to upload code through STM32CubeIDE, it fails to connect. CubeProgrammer also gives me this error when I attempt to connect:"Your connection is defined with the HWrst mode."Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Verified all SWD connections: SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, 3.3VTried different USB cables and USB portsTried connecting with both STM32CubeIDE and CubeProgrammerChecked Device Manager: ST-Link shows up as USB device, but firmware update still failsTried to manually enter DFU mode, but unsure how with this ST-Link V2 device (it's possibly a clone)System Info:OS: Win11 ProSTM32 Model: STM32F103C8T6ST-Link version: V2 I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to:Successfully update the ST-Link firmwareBypass or resolve the DFU mod

OS: Windows 10STM32CubeIDE version: 1.18.1Board: STM32H757XIH6My project was made in TouchGFX 4.23.2. The project uses both cores on the board, they communicate with openamp. After updating to TouchGFX 4.25.0 and generating from ioc with the TGFX 4.25.0 generator. Openamp on the M4 core goes to error handler everytime. Openamp on M7 seems to be working. If I run the original software, not updated to TGFX 4.25.0 everything works as expected. This is the openamp code on M4: int status; MAILBOX_Init(); if(MX_OPENAMP_Init(RPMSG_REMOTE, NULL) != HAL_OK){ Error_Handler(); } status = OPENAMP_create_endpoint(&rp_endpoint, RPMSG_SERVICE_NAME, RPMSG_ADDR_ANY, rpmsg_recv_callback, NULL); if(status < 0){ Error_Handler(); } receive_message(); This is the openamp code in a task on M7:  int status; MAILBOX_Init(); rpmsg_init_ept(&rp_endpoint, RPMSG_CHAN_NAME, RPMSG_ADDR_ANY, RPMSG_ADDR_ANY, NULL, NULL); if(MX_OPENAMP_Init(RPMSG_MASTER, new_service_cb) !

Hello to everyone in the forum. I am using STM32H735.Is it possible to perform a floating point number operation and generate an interrupt when an exception occurs?I want to interrupt when the bit for exception generation in the FPSCR register is turned ON.Or do I have to create a thread for register monitoring and constantly check the bits? I await your advice.See you soon.

Hi,  Im developing stm32wb55ceu6 RF application hardware. In the application note AN5290 it says that a second antenna matching network is needed after the LP filter . But i cant find anything else about this matching network. Next page at the schematic example, this second antenna matching network is not implemented. can someone shed some light on the this topic, thanks in advance.

  Hello ST Community & @stforum & @stforum2    I am working on a project using the STM32F765VGT6 MCU with STM32CubeIDE on Windows, and I'm implementing a Custom HID USB interface. Hiwe created custom PCB using stm32h750IBT6 MCU. in this we have added USB interface using DM & DP pins.issue: USB interrupt in not happening when i connect USB to the connector. i have added SCHEM for reference.considered steps in MX:1. enabled USB_FS as HOST_ONLY,2. given clock as 48hz from RC48,3.  enable USB_HOST as mass storage class.I am not understanding where I went wrong. NOTE:1.all pins are matched as per schematic.2. in schematic i can sense 5v at out pin in ic4 as well3. also i have removed D1 ic as well even though result

Im working on a project wit h a H753ZI board with simulink.  In order to calculate sin efficiently I Hav tried the CORDIC block but in CUBEMX  under "Computing" only CRC and DFSM1 are visible.  Is it not possible to activate CORDIC? I have tried to manipulate the ioc file (according to suggestions "out there") but no luck.  I have the latest versions of cube
